Abba Comillas Apartments

The apartment we stayed in was great. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There is a hotel there too, which is where we picked up our keys. We arrived pretty late, which was no problem since they have a 24 hour desk. The staff at the desk was really friendly and helpful. They also have a room for leaving your luggage to be picked up later by a transfer service. It’s not in the heart of town, but it’s just a short walk. All in all, a great experience.

There was nothing to not like.

Great location near the Camino, beautiful views of the water, pool access, spacious living room to relax as a group.

It was quite complicated and frustrating to figure out how to get the keys. However, once we were in, it was fantastic!

Schoon , fijne dikke handdoeken.

Sfeerloos, 2 pannen in het appartement. Onvriendelijk personeel bij de receptie.

La amplitud del apartamento

La distancia al centro del pueblo

It was a convenient quick walk into town

They don’t give fresh towels and don’t have special towels for the pool area or for the beach

The sea view 3 bed apartment was spacious for the 5 of us, with amazing views. The pool was nearby, clean and well maintained. We loved it. The staff were really helpful and sorted out some minor issues quickly.

The bathroom could have done with updating and it got steamy as there was no fan. The kitchen was fine, but only a stove and microwave (no oven). This seems to be common in Spain.

Amplio, limpio y buena piscina

Apartamento, amplitud, limpieza

No ascensor

Ubicacion y limpieza.

Spacious and clean apartment, underground parking beneath the building.

Kitchen small and very basically equipped. Apartments some distance from the pool and tennis courts (not next to them as the photos implied but around 750m away) and a long walk to the beach. Apartment building very noisy until late at night

The apartment itself apartment was comfortable, clean and very functional.

It was very hot the few days we were there and there was no aircon or fans. The nights were hot and humid. The patio was overlooking a road, no views to speak of. The bathroom had no ventilation. The kitchen was equipped, but knives blunt, no bowls for pasta. Most times i have stayed at apartment with kitchen, basic salt/ pepper/ tea/instant coffee/ small milk condiments are provided. 4pm check in is on late side, but the apartment was not cleaned or available until 5.30pm (though Teressa our receptionist, was super nice about it). Walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone above and beside you (TV loud and clear and crying babies)

Good location reasonable apartment, clean and comfy

Very poor value for money, not great facilities

For 2 adults and 2 children, we got a large apartment with three full bedrooms. There was plenty of space, and the apartment had everything we needed in both the bathroom and the kitchen. Free parking was also a big plus.

The apartment complex is very large. If your apartment is at the far end, it can take about 5 minutes to walk to the swimming pool. It is not a big problem, but we did not expect it. The nearest beach is also much further away than the description says. There is no air conditioning in the apartment.

Las condiciones, ubicación, es magnífico

Schöne Wohnung, geräumig

Check In 2 Stunden verspätet. Zum Meer 25 Minuten Fußmarsch, steil bergauf beim Rückweg. Keine Infrastruktur vor Ort.

Muy tranquilo

Expensive for what you get and an extra fee for everything, including use of gym.

Good size apartment in a very nice resort

Further from the pool and courts than advertised. About 7 minutes walk. No loungers by the pool not even chairs. No kettle and one hot ring didn’t work on stove

Comillas is a beautiful town and the reception staff were polite.

The apartments are in two separate locations and we were placed in the block by the hotel, roughly 500 metres from the pool and grounds that dominate the photos on this listing and on the hotel's own website, and that the Google Maps pin points to. Reaching the pool means leaving the building, walking down a public road and crossing it: seven to eight minutes each way, closer to ten uphill on the way back. With children that is not a pool you can use casually. The room is sold as "with Garden" but we got a tiled patio at street level behind railings and a loose chain link fence, facing the road and parked cars. No grass, no planting, mould-stained stonework. The apartment is dated and there is no air conditioning. They had only one fan available for the whole property, so we ended up buying our own at Leroy Merlin. Getting a kettle took three days and a lot of insisting, and it only arrived after we had put the complaint in writing. We raised all of this on arrival and spent most of the stay in correspondence. One alternative was shown on the third morning of four, inside the complex but with no garden or usable terrace, so it solved one problem by creating another. When you point out that this is not the place you booked, you get thrown back at a single small note in the description saying the complex has two areas. That note says almost nothing. It gives no distance, no mention of the public road, no idea of what it will actually mean for your holiday, and it sits behind everything else that tells you the opposite. Two clearly different products are sold as one, and when a guest says so, the answer is that line and nothing more. No acknowledgement, no gesture. Check very carefully what you are actually going to get, and insist on clarity in writing before you arrive: which block, how far from the pool, and whether your apartment has a garden or only a terrace. Once you are there, it is too late.

Zona tranquila. Sitio para aparcar sin pagar. Apartamento amplio.

The location is convenient, and the apartment is spacious. The beds are very comfortable, and the bed linen was exceptionally clean and fresh. The kitchen was nicely prepared with a spotless white tablecloth and new sponges. The building has a lift, so carrying luggage is convenient. The apartment would is better suited for stays of several nights rather than just one night. Note that the keys need to be collected from another nearby Abba Group hotel. A €150 security deposit was required at check-in and was returned later.

We were disappointed that we could not use the swimming pool. Upon arrival, we were given the key but were not informed that the pool was closed, and with the check-out time at 11:00, there was practically no opportunity to use it despite having paid for this facility. There is no air conditioning, and two bedrooms are located in the attic, where it can become quite hot. For a short stay, we would have appreciated some basic kitchen essentials such as salt and sugar.

Personalet virkede uimødekomnende og alt foregik meget mekanisk.

Nada.

We were a group of four people, traveling by car and we booked an apartment. It was not only clean, it was also very large, 2 levels, 3 bedrooms (2 with king size beds, one with twin beds), 2 bathrooms a large open space living room-kitchen. It had anything one could think: cutlery, dishes etc. etc. Everything was very clean, enough toiletries, towels and bathrobes, dish-washer, laundry machine. The beds were very comfortable. It was very easy to collect the keys (from the nearby hotel that has 24 hour reception), the receptionists are very friendly and speak a very good English language. They provided us with all information we needed. The unit has a parking under the building, Very good value for money.

Nothing, Comillas was a very nice surprise for our group, it is definitely worth visiting.
