Reviewed Sep 7, 2026View from the window was superb. The lift to the first floor was well received. The lady who welcomed us and the staff in general were very warm and friendly. The fondue in the restaurant was delicious and it was fascinating to watch their signature beef dish La Potence brought out, quite impressive. Breakfast was good, cereal, croissants, boiled eggs, bread, tea, coffee.
It's not a new hotel but everything worked and was fine.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Une excellente adresse, avec un accueil chaleureux et une cuisine typique vraiment savoureuse. L'assiette valaisanne était généreusement garnie, avec une belle variété de charcuterie. En plat, la croûte aux morilles était divine : généreuse en champignons, une sauce goûteuse, et des pickles inattendus qui se mariaient étonnamment bien avec elle. Mention spéciale à Melissa, qui m'a bien guidé sur l'enchaînement des plats et sur les accords mets et vins (le Gamay qu'elle a conseillé est extra). Elle connaît ses produits et sait les mettre en valeur. Côté hébergement, les chambres sont propres et confortables. Et pour les motards, le garage à moto gratuit est un vrai plus, très appréciable. Une adresse que je recommande sans hésiter, aussi bien pour la table que pour l'étape.

La recepción, las instalaciones, las camas sin sábanas (utilice mi saco). Había rincones con telarañas, se notaba que hacía tiempo que no limpiaban. Tiene pinta que en sus años era un buen establecimiento, pero se ha ido atascando en el tiempo, los dueños mayores, además de que parece que el tráfico ha disminuido bastante. Tiene pinta que terminará como el resto de áreas que hay por la zona: cerrado.

Per il tipo di struttura, abbastanza datata, 100€/notte sono eccessivi. Inoltre 16 franchi a persona di colazione per un servizio non all'altezza, mi spiace hanno fatto molto calare la soddisfazione. Peccato perché la cena era davvero Ottima.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026hotel was naast een doorgaande weg. je kon er ook tanken. bij binnenkomst leek het of de tijd in de jaren 80 stil was blijven staan. ingecheckt door de vriendelijke eigenaar. de vrouw van de eigenaren het personeel waren ook zeer vriendelijk. ,s avonds heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant van het hotel. complimenten aan de chef. de kamer was zeer schoon.

Le bruit de la route avec les chambres côté route. Chose qui est valable pour tous les hôtels dans ce village qui se situe sur l'axe du Gd-St-Bernard. Sinon bien.

Ich hatte anscheinend bei der Booking Suche 4 Personen angegeben, dann das Hotel du Cret und 3 Doppelzimmer ausgewählt für 6 Personen. Bei Ankunft unserer Ski Gruppe bekam ich den Hinweis, dass ich nur 4 Personen für die 3 Zimmer angegeben hatte und dadurch jetzt der Preis um ca. 50€ teuerer sei. Ganz verstanden hatte ich diese Argumentation nicht, eine Diskussion war schwierig bis unfreundlich bei Kommunikationsproblemen (kein Englisch-kein Französisch). Der Preis musste noch vor Zimmerbezug bezahlt werden. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich nur für eine Nacht zu empfehlen für anspruchslose Reisende. Das mäßige Frühstück mit 17 Franken völlig überteuert.

Las camas tenían una sábana tan vieja y barata que se veían a través suyo los dibujos del colchón, en la terraza de la habitación había varios ceniceros llenos de colillas, el hotel en general estaba todo muy muy viejo.

It was poorly set up. I stay in dorm rooms but this was bad. They have lights on timers in the washroom so in the middle of using shower or toilet the lights go off. The sink has no soap. The door to dormitory squeaks so loudly anyone opening it wakes up everyone
