Happy Porto Hostel

Had a great stay here! The hostel is clean, has a really good vibe and view. A special thanks to Luigi at reception, who was amazing and made the stay even better. Highly recommended!

Tesis çalışanları çok yardımseverler. Kahvaltı çok uygun bir fiyata ama doyurucu. Yatakhaneler tertemiz, banyolar ve tuvaletler de aynı şekilde temiz. Hosteli ayarlamamdan hemen sonra anında check in nasıl yapılacaktan, konumu ve önemli her türlü bilgiyi hem mailden hem mesaj yoluyla ilettiler.

La ubicación está bien pero podría ser mejor. La limpieza fue buena y el personal super amable.

Me tocó una cama en la litera de arriba y era incómodo subir ya que la escalera es muy estrecha, como para niños. El cuarto para chicas me pareció pequeño para la cantidad de camas y el locker también me pareció pequeño ya que no cabe una backpack pero sí se puede poner cosas de valor.

O travesseiro muito fofo e baixinho! O resto estava ótimo.

O local tinha uma vista muito bonita, com uma arquitetura que mesclava o charme de estruturas antigas com muita modernidade e organização. O ambiente sempre climatizado me permitia descansar com conforto, realizar reuniões de trabalho e conversar com outros hóspedes. Em outra viagem a Porto, é um lugar a que gostaria de voltar.

Não tenho nada a comentar nesse aspecto.

Die Lage war super und der Ausblick war auch sehr schön.

Leider wurde in der Küche nicht vom Hostel darauf geachtet, dass alte Lebensmittel, die von Gästen, welche schon ausgecheckt haben, im Kühlschrank gelassen wurden. Also waren teilweise 3 Wochen alte Lebensmittel dort drinnen. Ein anderer Minuspunkt war, dass man die Zimmertüren nicht abschließen konnte.

De locatie van dit hostel is perfect wanneer je naar het strand wilt! De bus is op 3 minuten loopafstand en je bent hiermee binnen 20 minuten op het strand. Het personeel was erg aardig en ze staan altijd open voor een praatje wanneer je hier behoefte aan hebt. Dat was erg fijn, zeker als je alleen reist.

Je kan hier beter niet slapen als je een lichte slaper bent. De douches en toiletten zijn midden in de kamer te vinden. En wanneer je met 8 bedden op 1 kamer slaapt kan je ervan uitgaan dat er meerdere mensen zijn die in de nacht naar de toilet moeten of willen douchen. Dit zorgde tijdens de avonden voor veel geluidsoverlast. Daarnaast maakt het sommige mensen niet uit of ze geluid maken wanneer anderen al aan het slapen was. Hierdoor heb ik bijvoorbeeld meegemaakt dat iemand om 1 uur s' nachts nog even rustig voor 20 minuten haar haren ging föhnen. Probeer dan nog maar te slapen... Daarnaast ligt dit hostel wat lager in de stad waardoor je de hele tijd omhoog moet lopen als je naar een drukkere buurt wilt. Als je omhoog loopt moet je door een paar steegjes heen waar geen huizen staan, en ook geen mensen lopen. Hierdoor voelde het onveilig voor mij om in de avond nog op stap te gaan als solo reiziger. (Zie bijlage voor foto) Om deze redenen zou ik dan toch niet kiezen voor dit hostel als je alleen reist als vrouw.

Great location and super comfortable

Attentive and caring staff. Shared areas were mostly clean, or as clean as they could be with the hostel being fully booked. Pretty good location, easy to commute from. Easy check-in/check-out procedure, and if needed, no problem contacting the staff via whatsapp. Doors are code-locked, so no worries about losing a key.

The bedrooms are very crowded and there's very little space, but since I only used mine for sleeping and was otherwise out, it didn't impact my stay. There were some specks of mold in the shower room, but nothing too terrible considering the high humidity and close proximity to the river.

Łóżka gniazdka mają w dziwnych miejscach. U mnie brakowało, ale człowiek w recepcji to naprawił. Brak zasłon, problemy z gniazdkiem. Na plus lokalizacja, szybki internet i chłopak z recepcji.

The door to the room was not locking and the lockers inside the room were not big enough to fit a cabin size suitcase.

Posizione un po' fuori dal centro ma molto comoda, si raggiunge il centro con 20 min a piedi. Self check in a qualsiasi ora, così si ha la possibilità di arrivare anche molto tardi. Pulizia ottima. Non é orientato ai pellegrini, quindi può capitare di essere in stanza con persone con orari molto diversi.

Unica critica: spazi condivisi molto limitati, più piccolo di quanto immaginavo. Ma per spendere il proprio tempo a Porto non é grave

The bathrooms and showers were clean. It was a thoughtful touch to provide earplugs for every guest. The sheets and blankets were clean and already prepared.

The beds, or rather, I should say the mattresses, were quite close to each other. Sometimes it felt like people were almost walking over your head. There was also some noise from the street, as the windows face a fairly busy road.

Jó volt, hogy a szoba nagy méretű volt, két zuhanyzó és két wc is tartozott hozzá. Nagyon tiszta volt, ahhoz képest, hogy egy hostelről beszélünk. A konyha jól felszerelt volt. Kedvesek voltak a srácok a recepción. A reggeli bőséges volt.

A reggeli inkább alapnak mondható volt, bár svédasztalosan volt megoldva, a választék inkább egy kontinentális reggelivel egyenértékű.

A localização era perfeita, local muito lindo de frente para o rio e muito perto do prédio de um congresso que fui durante a estadia. A limpeza foi muito boa também e os funcionários foram muito gentis. Foi bem tranquila a estadia e, com certeza, voltaria novamente!!

Silencioso e com a limpeza em dia nos quartos. Muito bem localizado e ideal para descansar.

Las camas no tenían cortinas para dar más privacidad, y el Locker con llave era muy pequeño para poner una maleta, solo podías poner un bolso de mano y algo más

La ubicación es espectacular. Las instalaciones limpias y la información para check in correcta. No he tomado desayuno, pero estuve en el 'lobby-cafeteria' y los chicos me ayudarán con algunas dudas, muy simpáticos. La cama y el colchón son cómodos. Me quedé en la tercera planta y las vistas son inmejorables. Si hay que subir por escaleras, con maletas no será cómodo, pero yo solo tenía una mochila pequeña.

El soporte por WhatsApp es a través de un robot, así que no es nada cercano y no muy eficiente. Las ventanas podrían tener cortinas, ya que, o se deja abierto para entrar aire o cerradas para no entrar luz, ya que el aire acondicionado solo funciona a la noche y en verano hace bastante calor. Pero todo muy bien! Volvería a hospedarme!

I loved the location, decor, common area, and that it was accessible for those with mobility difficulties. I also appreciated the way the hostel was incorporated into the historic building structure with beautiful exposed stone in the dorm bathroom!

The stairways were a beast with luggage but at least they were decorated beautifully. I also didn’t like being assigned a top bunk because it didn’t feel steady to climb up, but that was just the luck of the draw—no actual problem with the bed.

Çalışanlar çok ilgili ve yardımcıydı. Odalar, banyolar ve tuvaletler çok iyi tasarlanmış. Dolapların olması ve kilidinin verilmesi çok iyiydi, çok güvende hissettirdi. Kahvaltısı fena değildi.

Tuvaletler biraz yetersiz olabiliyordu zaman zaman ayrıca ilk kullandığımda biraz pisti ve bir tuvalet tıkanmıştı. Yanımdaki ranza yatağındaki kız sürekli döndüğü için tüm gece sallandım ve hiç uyuyamadım. Ranzaların birbirine değmemesi iyi olur, çok konforsuz bir uykuydu. Merkeze yürüme mesafesi ama ana metro hatlarına erişmek için oldukça yürümek gerekiyor bu biraz zorluk yarattı. Kahvaltı idare eder.

Has all the details you can expect from a hostel

I had an amazing stay at this hostel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city and all its main attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations and any questions I had. The hostel was very clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere that made it easy to relax and meet other travelers. Everything was well organized, and you can tell the team really cares about creating a positive experience for guests. I truly enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again.

Do atendimento rápido do Sr Paulo para resolver problema. A estrutura é de banheiros e cama é excelente. A vista do rio pela janela é linda! A equipe muito solicita. Célio me ajudou a montar o roteiro de um dia a pé e foi perfeito. Amei! A localização é boa. Eu amei as obras de arte nas escadas. Oferecem mapa de Porto e tampões de ouvido. Tudo de muita qualidade.

Tive problemas quando cheguei. O quarto tem 11 leitos e 3 deles ficam num mezanino, tipo colchão no chão, sem espaço suficiente para bagagem. São 3 andares de escadas mais escada do mezanino. Sr Paulo foi muito solícito e resolveu a situação mudando minha cama. Não recomendo o mezanino pois o espaço é bem pequeno para se acomodar e ajeitar as coisas. Cuidado para não bater a cabeça no armário. A recepção só funciona pela manhã. Dá para fazer tudo a pé mas tem que andar um pouco mais.

C'était ma première expérience dans un hostel est je ne la regrette pas. La chambre était propre, bien équipée, avec une belle vue sur la rivière. Les toilettes étaient bien propres et équipées. L'emplacement était parfait à 10min à pied des endroits touristiques. Le petit-déjeuner correct. Les filles étaient gentille et calme surtout pendant la nuit.

La seule chose que j'ai pas apprécié dans ce hostel c'est que la clime est allumée toute la nuit de 22h à 8h du mat et bien sûr il faisait très froid surtout que mon lit était en face de la clime et donc j'ai pas pu dormir, j'ai envoyé un msg wtsp de l'hostel mais ils m'ont dit que c'est impossible de l'éteindre et que c'est automatique !!! heureusement qu'un autre lit en face était disponible, et donc j'ai changer de lit et j'ai reclamé le lendemain même si c'était interdit mais j'avais pas de choix pour dormir.

Beautiful view of the river. Bathroom is well designed with multiple shower and toilet stalls, allowing several people to use the facilities simultaneously.

Storage was quite poor; no space under the beds for suitcases but the lockers were also very small and made of particle board. Electrical outlets set near each bed were actually extension cords plugged into extension cords.

I requested a lower bed due to my injured knee and they kindly fulfilled the request despite my last-minute booking.

Overpriced, dirty, a real pain in the neck.. When the hostel guy comes after you into the female dorm room to collect the deposit for the keys… which information they claim was included in the long info message (it wasn’t), is really inconvenient. The room was super small and dirty old shirts and towels were hanging everywhere. Seems like the beds are in continuous rotation, one wonders if they ever do a deep cleaning (floor so dusty). This room had no nice river view, overlooked a firewall and the AC(?) outlets which were very loud during the night. Barely any wifi signal at the top floor. .........Dear Property, attitude is completely fine when one meets with clear communication... maybe you should revisit and improve your information sheet including ALL elements instead of suggesting me retaking anything.. The problem is going after guests to collect money that was nowhere mentioned before... (one wonders if hiding information about any deposit is against booking's policies..) You do not mention it in your description neither in your messages sent after the booking is paid. Oh and empathy should start with no phones on loudspeaker during nightime - maybe you should put up notes on the doors as some of your guests apparently find it normal to watch videos on loudspeaker till 2 am in a dorm room...... .......Dear property, you are clearly mistaking me for another guest and tell lies! I do not smoke. I had zero interaction with your staff apart from paying you the key deposit after you came after me and asking if it was indicated in your house rules or info message. There was an "antisocial" guest (NOT ME) in the room playing loud videos at night, which I mentioned previously - IF you had read my response... In your previous response, you used information shared with you in a private message for making ad hominem then deleted your message. Now you are stating sheer lies. It says it all about you... report to booking.com has been made.

En general las instalaciones estaban bien.

No había un locker de un tamaño como para guardar una valija. Al ser una ciudad en una colina, puede ser cansador tener que ir a cualquier lugar turístico estando abajo de la colina.

The location is perfect for exploring Porto and relaxing away from the city noise. The staff was very welcoming, and the hostel atmosphere is very chill! The kitchen is well-equipped, and you can find books and games in the common area! The beds are comfortable, with individual lights and electrical outlets, and the bathrooms are spacious and ensuite. I'll definitely be back!

No había reglas claras para el mantenimiento de las condiciones de limpieza, me parece que la proporción baños 2 para 10 personas es muy poca. No hubo mucha atención en reponer el papel higiénico en los baños

I really enjoyed the river view and the location, which is within walking distance of all the main attractions and right in the vibrant Ribeira district. The rooms are well designed, each with a private bathroom that includes two shower cabins and two toilets, which is very convenient. I especially appreciated their attention to details: in the female-only dorm, they provided a hair dryer, a straightener, and even a scale. It’s also great that you can arrive at any time. The kitchen is very well equipped, with a stove, an oven, a microwave, a kettle, and even an air fryer. Finally, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

I would have preferred having curtains on each bed for more privacy, but it was still fine without them.

Excelente atención al huésped, y el desayuno si se sabe servir no es mal precio. Además los baños son bastante cómodos y limpios. La ubicación está apenas como 1km del centro.

Cobran las toallas (2.5€ creo) lo cual siempre es un mal detalle :(. Pero de resto muy bueno.

Petit-déjeuner peu fourni mais pas mal non plus, un petit problème de communication à ce sujet : il était indiqué que celui-ci était inclu mais nous avons finalement payé un petit supplément. Cependant ce n'est pas un gros problème et l'auberge est très sympa malgré tout.

Prezadissimo Paulo, de verdade está dificil escrever uma resenha. Porque tudo que eu esvrever aqui, vai ser pouco para dizer como é maravilhoso, limpo, vista, Celio e Nafitaly. Eu vivo em hostels por todo o mundo e nunca estive em um hostel com tantos banheiros por quartos. Nāo só o chuveiro, com aquela pressāo que só na casa da gente tem. Mas o espaço do chuveiro, da entradinha para o box e depois vem aquele espaço maravilhoso para uso da pia. do secador de cabelo... Parece hotel chique. Aqui alem de secador, até chapinha de cabelo vcs teem. E o café da manhã!!! Viajantes do mundo, o café da manhā nesse paraiso, tem quatro tipos de cereal, leite normal, sem gordura, de amendoa, soja. Café, chocolate, canela, quatro ou cinco tipos de geleia, nutela, paes, manteiga e margarina, queijo, fiambre e choriço. Tudo isso em um buffet. Fruta e pote com balinhas o dia inteiro. Um filtro de agua fresquinha e limpinha, que a gente pode encher nossas garrafas E o tamanho dos quartos? Gigantescos, com camas de madeira solida e espaçadas. Dá para dançar valsa de tāo grandes. Tem hostels que com o espaço que vc tem, teria o dobro de camas. E a cozinha??? Nova e totalmente equipada. Seu hostel é fino e elegante sem ser pretencioso. Está pronto para receber qualqier tipo de pessoa. Aqui na europa, não existe hostels de 10, 9,euros. Esses hosteis na verdade são pensões sujas com varios moradores. O custo e benefico daqui é enorme, uma vez que alem da cozinha super limpa e equipada para cozinhar e o que se economiza com o café da manhã, faz o preço ser o mesmo dessas pensoes. Na beira do rio Douro e que vista. Aqui na frente do rio só tem hoteis caros. É uma localizaçāo privilegiadissima. Uma vista das janelas dos quartos. Agora para terminar o mais importante, Muitoo obrigada pela segurança, a disponibilidade, a atenção, o silencio, o cuidado e paz. Muito obrigado mesmo. Hostel não é um lugar para amontoar as pessoas. É cultural. O seu é impecavel. Outubro estarei de volta!

Eu realmente não sei como esse hostel tem avaliação que não seja dez. Esse hostel não é dez. É 1000!!! Um abraço
