Odyssey Boutique Hotel

The hotel has a fantastic location overlooking the bay and mountains beyond. The facilities are excellent with large and comfortable rooms. The staff were outstanding, nothing was to much trouble - Thank you

Stunning views from all the rooms over the bay with balcony. Very helpful staff throughout from reception to the restaurant/bar. Very spacious and comfortable room.

Views were amazing - rooms as described and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would have liked a Breakfast buffet style for toast, cereals, fruit etc. but only a minor suggestion. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone !!

Immaculate hotel in great location with staff who went the extra mile to help you . Hotel kept a very high standard of cleanliness

We had a wonderful week at the Odessey hotel. The staff can’t do enough for you, and everywhere is spotless. Breakfast is an absolute feast and the restaurant is excellent. No wonder people return year after year.

great food great service great location

My wife and I stayed here for our 10-year anniversary trip, and we absolutely loved it! The room was very comfortable, and the view was incredible. We spent a lot of time on our balcony just soaking in the gorgeous views. The Wifi was fantastic, which was very important to me, as I unfortunately had to work every night. The location was really great as well! Lithovatis Beach is a very short walk, with crystal clear water for snorkeling, and we always managed to grab a nice spot. The town of Agia Effimia was also a short walk, with plenty of restaurants and shops. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times. They provided clean beach towels, pool towels, beach umbrellas, and my wife even picked out books to read. The hotel also has a great menu of grocery items, spa items, and souvenirs to purchase. Parking was never an issue, as we always had a spot to park at the hotel. Breakfast was extremely delicious every morning, and we loved the Mnistires restaurant downstairs. We must have gotten room service every day. The pool was also beautiful, and we really enjoyed laying by the pool with a cold drink. We absolutely loved our stay and the next time we are in Kefalonia, this is the only hotel we will stay in :)

What an absolute gem. We enjoyed such a relaxing stay, truly exceptional warm friendly hospitality right through from arrival to departure. Reception, restaurant and all support staff were so genuinely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast selection and service outstanding. We ate in the restaurant a few lunch and evenings, fabulous food, mouthwatering daily specials expertly described, plus excellent speciality cocktails, even extra ice arrived magucally when loynfing by the pool. Stunning views, location amazing, lovely traditional village, grear selection of places to eat drink, hire a boat, without being too touristy - perfect for relaxation and great Greek hospitality. Absolutely loved it - hope to return many times!

The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. We did two tours that the concierge recommended and loved them. The restaurant has the best food on the island. Highly recommend!

Excellent all round

We really enjoyed our stay at the Odyssey hotel. The location was very close to Agia Effimia which we enjoyed using as our base. The three (!) different Katherines looking after reception were all very kind and helpful and gave us great recommendations of places to stay. We found the electrical box in our room very noisy on the first night but were promptly moved after sharing this with staff. The couple of changes we'd have liked would be to have a duvet rather than just sheets, although know this isn't uncommon for a lot of Europe! We also found it strange that we could not eat our own food by the pool due to it being owned by the restaurant, despite the pool being only for hotel guests anyway. Finally, there's a sign in the bathroom saying to hang up towels if you don't want them washed every day and we liked this as are quite eco-conscious, however regardless of how we hung them up they seemed to be changed every day.

Lovely small hotel, staff couldn't do enough for us....they even offer a (limited) shopping service for essentials!!! Pool isn't heated, and was fairly cool in September. Recommended.

Beautiful Hotel - views are amazing and staff is very curteous and always with a smile

An amazing hotel in a great location run by the nicest people! We had high expectations based on reviews we had read before we booked our trip and we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a great location, Agia Efimia is a lovely place to stay, nothing not to like. The Odyssey Boutique Hotel is in a great location, within a couple minutes you can walk to everything, shops, restaurants and bars, boat or car rental locations, yet it's quiet. Our room was lovely, very comfortable (and large) bed, nice seating area, great balcony with stunning views, modern bathroom and all spotless! The staff are so friendly and manage the balance of being attentive while also discrete, expertly. They really couldn't be nicer or more friendly. Plenty of parking if you rent a car (we would recommend a hire car to see all of the island). I nearly forgot to mention the pool area - just brilliant! A lovely pool, plenty of space around it and the many sunbeds, never a problem to find available sunbeds and a parasol. Highly recommended.

Been many times to this simply Amazing hotel will definitely be booking for next year

Very friendly helpful staff. Clean, fresh and pretty building. Outstanding location for local dining and exploring northern kefalonia.

This hotel is truly superb! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was modern, pristine, spacious and well appointed. The room's mini bar prices were reasonable and the restaurant is well worth a visit. It's located just off the main road but close to the town's activities in the central port area. The swimming pool area is awesome and the hotel provides you with pool towels and, if you need, beach towels for off-location use. It certainly looked and felt like the best hotel in the area by far - extremely highly recommended!

The view from the hotel is unique. For sure the best hotel in the area and maybe in the island. The staff was professional and in the same time friendly and genuine.

Fantastic 10 days stay where all staff could not be any more helpful . Helped arrange taxi , trips and car hire very easily and at good prices as well as late check out. Hotel is in a great location a short walk from the shops and restaurants. The food in the hotel was fantastic and prices very reasonable for the quality . Rooms were fantastic, large , modern and clean with great see views. Pool area very clean and was never overly busy at all. Will definitely visit again.

Amazing stay at a well cared for property. Katerina and her staff are caring, hospitable, hard working and extremely attentive! We appreciate the many thoughtful gestures to make our stay relaxing and memorable!

Just back from a truly restful and memorable stay at this hotel! The property itself is well cared for and maintained. The location is amazing and the views are incredible! Agia Efemia is a wonderful base from which to explore the rest of the island. We consider ourselves very lucky to have chosen to stay here. What makes this particular hotel a truly special place is the staff. Katarina manages a group of genuinely caring and incredibly hard working people who all made this a relaxing and memorable stay for us. So many Greek Islands to explore, but if we are ever back in Kefalonia, we will definitely select The Odyssey Hotel again!

This was a fabulous hotel. Staff were all so helpful and friendly, but not overly so. The place is so incredibly clean, too. The rooms are all sea facing with fabulous views and are very large with extremely comfortable beds. The food is also very, very good, and they have a great drinks list with very well made cocktails. The only slight downside is that there is an extra charge for the gym, which is quite small, although enough there for a quick workout while on holiday. Would definitely stay here again.

The Odyssey is a fabulous small hotel in an idyllic location and where nothing is too much trouble for its outstanding staff. I round highly recommend this hotel - everything from the extensive breakfast menu (Natalie you are a star) to the cocktails were amazing.

Excellent stay!

Amazing hotel with fantastic staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Lots of good eating places around the hotel but the hotel restaurant is fabulous too!

We spent 3 nights at the Odyssey Hotel and Suites. Beautiful property, convenient location and wonderful staff. We highly recommend staying here, the town was so lovely.

The staff was amazing, stayed an extra night. The rooms were big, good bed and beautiful bathroom. The food was very good. The staff was so helpful and accomodating I can't recommend this place more excelent!

Absolutely fantastic experience here. The views and property were beautiful. Staff were helpful, friendly and respectful. We were greeted with complementary tray of snacks and drinks, variety of shampoos, conditioners, lotions, etc, and the rooms are huge! Delicious food at the hotel restaurant and some great restaurants walking distance. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Perfect for adults/couples.

What a great hotel - 8 day stay in mid Sep. Clean, friendly staff, plenty of space and lovely food. Unfaultable.

Booked for my friends honeymoon present and they loved every minute of there stay

Spectacular views, lovely pool area, very friendly & helpful staff, very clean and an outstanding menu in the restaurant - best food I’ve had on the island.

What a find! This hotel surpasses all expectations from the large junior suite bedrooms with the biggest, most comfortable beds, plush sitting areas and hydrotherapy showers to the beautiful outside terraces and swimming pools with stunning views across Sami bay to Ithaca. The staff are friendly, attentive and efficiant and nothing is too much trouble. The food at the restaurant is excellent and well worth a visit whether staying at the hotel or not. We only stopped one night but will certainly be back to eat before we leave Aghia Efemia and most definitely will spend a longer stay at the hotel next time.

Phenomenal hotel and staff! The property is gorgeous and the in house chef is Michelin rated. Food was incredible.

Third time at the Odyssey. Fabulous place. Jewel in Ionian crown. Please don’t tell too many people. ;) Great staff, great view, great room. Quiet. Fabulous.

this hotel is beyond exeptional

Perfect hotel in a lovely spot with stunning views. Room was a really good size, and really quiet. Pool is lovely and the restaurant food is really good. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Will stay again.

This is truly the very best hotel on Kefalonia. Stunning property with amazing attention to detail. It’s unusual to find a hotel of this quality in the islands. The rooms are luxurious and the warm and gracious hospitality makes for a wonderful stay. The views from the room balconies, the food and the amazing pool, makes each visit very special. A jewel in Kefalonia.

Second time here. Almost don’t want to write a review as more people will find this gem. The Odyssey hotel is a fabulous place with staff, views, room, air con, breakfast, service, parking, cross the road from snorkelling, short beautiful walk to town, etc etc etc ALL being the best you can find. truly 5 star experience. Thanks to all staff. Serenity.

Excellent service and friendly helpful staff. Beautiful pool and large well equipped rooms. Perfect location near harbour and tavernas.

Everything at this hotel is perfect. From the moment you arrive and throughout your stay the whole staff team are there to make your holiday relaxing and memorable. The bedrooms have everything you need and the communal areas offer somewhere to bask in the sun or relax in the shade as you wish.

Amazing friendly hotel! Spotless rooms good food great pool and above all excellent staff!! Be back soon!!!

This is without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we are very well travelled. The hotel is sparkling clean and there is an attention to detail that is second to none. The staff are incredible; warm, generous, charming and nothing is too much for them. The rooms are far better in size, views and quality than all of the 5 star hotels we have every stayed in. It is a magical, beautiful place and we will return every year.

Friendly and first class service from all staff, at all times. Great location, large rooms with beautiful sea views - there are only 22 rooms and they are all excellent. Would have no hesitation in recommending.

The views from all the rooms and public areas were superb. The hotel building and pool area were delightfully calm and peaceful. The staff were very helpful and friendly but unobtrusive.

Lovely clean and modern hotel with excellent service in a beautiful location. It's one of the most relaxing and quiet places I've ever stayed. Would highly recommend!

Comfortable, quiet, small hotel with lovely, helpful staff.

This hotel and should be the benchmark for all hotels. It was excellent in every respect, from initial greeting to checkout. The staff could not have been better and provided a very professional but friendly service. The decor and cleanliness was immaculate and the facilities are well in excess of what you would expect of a hotel of just 22 rooms. I cannot recommend the Odyssey highly enough.

Perfect for a truly restful holiday. Attentive, friendly staff who cater for all needs with a smile. A great place to really relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Hadn't seen a hotel with such a good review score and chose it purely based on that. Was not disappointed. Very well run hotel, spotlessly clean, great food, beautiful pool area and staff could not have been any more pleasant and helpful. Welcome drink on arrival, beach towels and parasol provided when we went to the beach. Only suggestion would be some more hangers in the wardrobe but that's me racking my brains for anything they could do better!

What an amazing hotel, everything about it was exceptional. Our room was immaculate with an amazing sea view. We ate several times in the onsite restaurant for both breakfast and evening meal. It is without a doubt the best food in the local area. Catherine and her team could not have made us more welcome. I’d like to give a special mention to both Dinos and Aristos, two of the waiters who made our dining experience a pleasure. I would strongly recommend arranging airport transfers direct with the hotel as this made our arrival effortless. Thank you to everyone there for making our stay so enjoyable.

Fabulous hotel Friendly staff Everything we expected and more

We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday based here. The location is very good to explore the island from. The hotel staff are very helpful, friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Especially loved the relaxed breakfast by the pool overlooking the ocean.

Fabulous hotel run by fabulous staff. So friendly without being over fussy. Wonderful food, great views and lovely room / pool. Just 5 minute walk from harbour side in Agia Efimia with several tavernas to choose from. Fantastic

Modern, spotlessly clean, all bed rooms (22) overlook the Ionian Sea with a superb shower, large balcony, large very comfy bed / s, excellent and quiet air conditioning, breakfast is superb - with local choices and cooked - freshly cooked to order - and with waitress only service. All staff and management are totally professional, friendly and passionate about their hotel and their island and go out of their way to ensure your stay and holiday is a total success with nothing of too much bother! WiFi is excellent throughout. The restaurant - inside or outside is elegant and superb food with lots of choice including local dishes and boast of using high quality local ingredients. A promenade outside the hotel allows a delightful 5 minute walk to the local, delightful town with harbour which is quaint and peaceful with a large choice of restaurants / tavernas plus a post office, chemist and small supermarkets etc. Swimming in the sea is right outside the hotel with no noisy water sports, and the hotel has 2 swimming pools - one small, one large, with delightful terraces and a large amount of beautiful furniture. The grounds are immaculate and they grow some of their own garden produce. Large free car park, and a local bus stop is within an easy 10 minute walk. The town is also excellently positioned to tour the entire, beautiful island of Kefalonia. And many guests have stayed umpteen times - that speaks for itself!

Difficult to find fault with this hotel. With 22 rooms, it is small enough to feel intimate and of sufficient size to offer excellent facilities and a wide range of food. It is in a lovely location with magnificent views over to Sami and Ithaca. You will never tire of the sunrise over the bay. The local harbour is a short stroll away and there are a few coves you can swim from although the coast here is rocky and stony. The food menu is comprehensive and all freshly prepared, often with organically sourced ingredients. You will not go hungry. The staff are approachable, knowledgeable and eager to please without being fussy or over-attentive. It is a family run hotel and it shows. Rooms are large and very well equipped - fridge, kettle, balcony, large bed, excellent bathroom, bathrobes, safe, etc. They are quiet and all are identical apart from colour scheme and a specific Odyssey theme. Plenty of free parking and the free wi-fi is good throughout. Pool towels and beach towels and mats are all available free upon request. Hard to find any fault. We did have a very slightly wobbly table at dinner one night and one of the three LED bulbs on our balcony wasn't working. If that represents some sort of holiday hell for you, don't go, but otherwise you should have no hesitation in choosing this fine accommodation.

A well maintained hotel run by an extremely efficient and friendly staff. It is situated 500m from the harbour and amenities, close enough to go and enjoy the night life and far enough to not be annoyed by it.

It’s such a beautiful spot and place. Everything is wonderful.

Great location, 5 min walking to Agia Efimia. Super friendly and helpful staff. Worth getting half board as dinner options are great and very good value. Rooms are clean and spacious, with balconies and stunning sea views. Calm and quiet, ideal for a relaxing stay. I would personally prefer a more modern decor but the hotel is in excellent condition. I would not hesitate to stay here again if coming back to Agis Efimia

Highly recommend this hotel. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the receptionist who was most helpful. Wonderful food & well priced. Everywhere is pristine & every member of staff we met was professional & friendly. We will definitely re book.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the location was extremely convenient for day trips around the island.

A fantastic stay in a great hotel hotel. The food was brilliant with my vegetarian wife well catered for. Thoroughly recommended.

Can’t fault this place...everything was spot on! Unreal!!

The whole experience was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious.

On arriving, we thought the hotel wasn't as modern / up to date as we were expecting from the photos. However, our 6 night stay proved our initial reaction wasn't warranted. The staff were brilliant, really wanting to make sure we had a good stay on the island. The rooms were good, and comfortable. I went swimming in the ocean right out the front a number of times. Lots of little nooks and crannies to explore.

Idyllic hotel in a paradise location - superb staff - beautiful hotel - hard to beat

We read the reviews before we booked this hotel thinking nothing could live up to them, but, guess what, they did! Beautiful hotel spotlessly clean with amazing staff who would bend over backwards to ensure our stay was a good one. Catherine and Mia were lovely! Wonderful relaxing pool and breathtaking views from our room and the pool over the ocean. Felt rejuvenated after our one week stay. The village tavernas were great too and very reasonably priced. Great seafood ! Well done guys!

Small friendly hotel with excellent staff. Plenty of sunbeds etc, no rushing around, food quality was good. Good central position on island to explore, a very relaxing break.

Excellent service. Excellent room. Wonderful view.

Lovely hotel with excellent service. The staff all spoke excellent English and were attentive to our every need. That the hotel has so many repeat guests is testimony to the standard of service offered and it is somewhere that we will return to in the future.

staff friendly & efficient, hotel spotless, food excellent. a quiet & peaceful hotel

A very high class hotel, with attentive and friendly staff. Only 22 suites overlooking the sea, quiet and relaxing. No children. Excellent location near marina, with local tavernas offering Greek food. A place to return to.

We've just returned from this lovely hotel. The staff treat you like one of the family. It really is home from home. Superb.

Made to feel very welcome on arrival, then shown to delightful room over looking the sea, pool area couldn't be better with staff in attendance all day who can't do enough for you.

great rooms, excellent service, top location, fantastic staffordable, can't knock it!

The service at the hotel is first class and extremely personalised. I love the added luxuries in the room such as the electric curtains, jacuzzi bath and comfortable king size bed. I was able to sleep so well with the hotel being comfortable and quiet. The breakfast works really well as a waiter service being only 22 rooms with a create yourself breakfast with a large variety and as much as what you want. The hotel is in a central location in the area with outstanding views of the sea and within close proximity to the harbour. The area is very peaceful and quiet with a big selection of restaurants to choose from. I will be definitely returning next year and will make that trip to Fiscardo and the island tour.

We stayed for a week at the beginning of June and it provided the ideal relaxing time that we were looking for. Spacious, comfortable room with a balcony looking out to sea. Easy walk into the village of Agia Efimia where there are plenty of good restaurants. Nice pool area.

From arrival to departure the outstanding element of this hotel are the team, led by the owners. i believe you will not get a more genuine desire to make your visit a memorable one in all aspects. if there is something different you would like, or any advice or help on anything to do with the hotel or the area, you only need to ask. The situation is stunning in a quiet area with a busy port within five minutes walk. Here you can enjoy the water and beauty of the area whether you want to sail, motor, dive, or be taken on organised trips. There are several lively bars and restaurants in the port with good local food if you want a change from the hotel. This also has a good restaurant with excellent service and wonderful views over the pool or sea. This is a small hotel and therefore does not have all the facilities of a large one but frankly, we never felt we needed anything as we were looked after so well. We have returned completely relaxed and will definitely return to this hotel and will recommend it unreservedly to our friends.
