In the end we stayed in the rooms with a view on the river. This was excellent. From the hotel you have access directly to the river.

The breakfast was fine but could really have been better. The choice was not so broad even if you could order an egg from the kitchen. It would be better if they had a menu showing options that can be ordered from the kitchen which would complement the buffet items.

Das ursprünglich gebuchte Zimmer müsste renoviert werden und entspricht nicht mehr dem Standard.

La simpatía del staff. La ubicación frente al río. La posibilidad de que nos gestionaran el tour a la isla. Los kayaks para visitar la cascada. El parking privado.

Al ser temporada baja la piscina estaba un poco descuidada, lo mismo con los colchones de las tumbonas.

- Das Abendessen war übel, komische Würste in ein wenig Tomatensosse mit trockenem REis. Eine komische Zusatzsosse, Weisskohl. Das ging fast alles zurück, einen Nachtisch nahm ich nicht in derf Annahme, dass ich den dann extra zahlen müsste: Falsch gelegen. Später sah ich dann, dass die summe 800.- Rupien gewesen wären, inkl. Nachtisch. - Der Service im Restaurant und die abenteuerliche Ausfahrt, wo man überhaupt nichts sieht. Auch die Einfahrt ist abenteuerlich, weil es ziemlich steil und eng nach unten geht. Erstmal weiss man nicht, was einen unten erwartet. Fehlende Getränkepreise am Tisch

L emplacement est un bon point de chute pour l île aux cerfs. La responsable de l établissement met en contact pour une excursion sur cette île. Le bateau est venu nous chercher sur la rivière en bas de l hôtel à un prix très correct. Nous étions seuls sur le spead boad et le skipper s est adapté à nos horaires et a été particulièrement sympathique. Un très bon souvenir.

Le repas du soir n étant pas concluant et un peu onéreux en rapport qualité prix.

Schöne Unterkunft am Fluss (unbedingt Zimmer mit Flusssicht buchen). Das Zimmer war gross mit Fan/AC und zwechsmässig eingerichtet. Es gibt gratis Kajak zum Ausleihen und Pascale organisiert preisgünstige und originelle Transfers/Ausflüge zur Ile aux Cerf (mit einer Nachbarin, Natascha, die eine Bootsverleihung führt). Für 800 Rs p.P. gibt es ein leckeres Abendessen vor Ort und auf Wunsch auch vegi. Das Personal was fantastisch, sehr unkompliziert und herzlich. Wie hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt!

Etwas ab vom Schuss ohne eigenes Auto (jedoch für 2 Nächte tiptop)

Super schöne Lage um 2-3 Tage am Fluss zu verbringen. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort, was perfekt war. Wir können den Bootsausflug zur Ile aux Cerfs sehr empfehlen. Man wird direkt am Fluss bei der Unterkunft abgeholt. Ein leckeres Mittagessen auf der Ile aux Cerfs mit traumhaften Ausblick ist auch inkludiert. Und unbedingt in der Unterkunft zu Abend essen Das Esses ist wirklich sehr lecker und authentisch.

It was really lovely and comfortable. The place is charming, cozy, and very clean The breakfast was Simple and nicely prepared. I’d also like to highlight the older lady who was serving the breakfast. She was incredibly kind, respectful, and polite. Her warm attitude truly made the stay even more special. There is a free kayak but we didn't try it. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would happily stay there again.

Super freundliche Gastgeberin und familiäre Atmosphäre. Wir hatten leider einen kleinen medizinischen Unfall und es wurde uns geholfen einen Arzt zu finden. Den Kindern hat das Kanu fahren so gut gefallen, dass wir morgens und abends gefahren sind. Zum Abendessen (geringer Preis, tolle Qualität) saßen wir bequem auf der Terasse mit Blick auf den Fluss. In den Bäumen tummelten sich Affen und riesige Fledermäuse. Öffentliche Strände sind mit dem Mietwagen gut zu erreichen. Es wir ein Shuttleboot zur Ile de Cerves angeboten.

Nous avons changé de chambre pour aller à Evazion Riverside et c’était super. Belle vue sur la rivière, les singes dans les arbres le matin, le kayak gratuit, la gentillesse des deux dames qui font le service du petit déjeuner le matin et qui s’occupent de l’entretien des extérieurs (l’une d’elles est même restée avec nous pour s’assurer que notre bateau pour l’île aux cerfs venait bien nous chercher). La gérante Pascale nous a donné beaucoup de bons conseils et nous a facilité notre séjour, un grand merci à elle. Le déjeuner du midi n’est pas proposé mais le snack tenu par Shaqilla juste en face est super et pas cher. Super séjour, on recommande vivement 👍

La dame qui s’occupe du dîner du soir nous a parlé sèchement on ne sait pas pourquoi, on peut comprendre le stress d’assurer un buffet mais ça n’empêche pas l’amabilité.

Cute, relatively new guest house right next to the river. The personnel were very friendly, the breakfast was good, also providing an option for in-house dining at extra charge. Good wifi, good parking. Nice to be able to use their kayaks to see the nearby waterfall.

You for sure need a car/taxi to get around. We found quite a lot of hair in our room on the floor, but that was quickly cleaned up, otherwise no objections regarding cleanliness.

The room was fresh, clean and comfortable with a fantastic view over the river. Use of the pool and kayaks was a huge bonus, as was the boat trip to Ile aux Cerfs that was organised for us. Frances and her family made us so welcome, we had a wonderful New Year’s Eve celebration with them, one to never be forgotten! And every member of staff treated us with huge warmth and friendliness, they were fantastic.

Ruhige Lage direkt am Fluss, gratis Kanuverleih und herzliche Gastgeberinnen

Gutes Essen und sehr freundliches Personal. Die Bootstour zur Ile aux Cerfs konnten wir direkt vor Ort buchen. Die Abholung erfolgte bequem beim Hotel per Boot. Sehr zu empfehlen ist ein Zimmer mit Flussblick. Mit etwas Glück kann man vom Balkon aus Affen und Flughunde beobachten.

Hier stimmt wirklich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis Ein kleines Familiäres Hotel Wo man auch am Abend für wenig Geld super Abendessen bekommt… das kocht wahrlich die Oma also Mutti steht in der Küche Sehr toll ist es mit dem Kanu am morgen oder am stillen Abend direkt los zu paddeln.

Nun ja für die vielen Hunde die nachts bellen kann der Vermieter nichts

Great breakfast and dinner. We appreciate the fish curry and faratas,very yummy Great staff, specially Pascale. She is always present for any of our demands or questions. The ladies in the kitchen and the cleaning ladies very helpful. We like the extraordinary view in the river This place is for slow living. When you are there you just want to do nothing and just enjoy the beauty of the place and the beauty of the people making the time with them just memorable.

Zentrale Lage direkt am Grand Rivere South East und nur ca. 10min von dem Kanu zum GRSE Wasserfall entfernt! Die Kanus stehen kostenfrei am Hotel zu Verfügung! Am besten ab ca. 16 Uhr nutzen, da die ganzen Boote dann kaum noch dorthin fahren! Eine Bootstour zur Ile Aux Cerfs kann günstig (ca. 20 Euro p.P.) vom Hotel organisiert werden (Shuttle direkt am Fluss). Ein absoluter Traum! Das Hotel ist sehr familiär und eine Art B&B mit Pool und wunderschöner Aussicht auf den Fluss! Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber sauber! Für 2 - 3 Nächte ein empfehlenswertes Hotel! Danke an unsere liebe Gastgeberin, die tolle Tips für eine Weiterreise gegeben hat!

Das Abendessen war kreolisch sehr lecker, aber aufgrund der geringen Auswahl sehr schlicht gehalten! Preis-Leistung eher verbesserungswürdig!

Manissa was amazing and all the staff too! We had a great experience and they helped us with taxi and late check out! Definitely worth it!

One word - bliss! We loved our stay. We also had food at EvaZion. The owners and staff are so friendly. We spent Christmas here. Took a boat out to Ile de Cerfs. It is free to take a kayak out to the nearby waterfall. We did this two times and definitely recommend. We saw tropical birds and monkeys. If we ever get the chance, we will be back!

Nice location, free canoes, swimming pool to refresh. They organise an airport shuttle to pick you up. This is a local taxi, only cash payment in rupees: 1600 MUR one way. A/C in room. Basic sanitary equipment but it functioned. Diner in Otentic next door is also possible.

They topped all the trees around the terrace and close to the river that also could have provided shade. Breakfast was not well organised, breakfast room too noisy and hot. Interior design could be cosier. The room is expensive for the quality you get.

Location was good, with nice river views. Enjoyed the dinner at night (not included) food was delicious!

Room being on the last floor was very hot inside, even with fan and aircon it took a couple hours to cool down. No one offered to help carry my suitcase up three flights of stairs.

You’re in nature so the riverside lowest level is rustic and you will need to take mosquito precautions.

The owner is very nice and gave us excellent recommendations for things to do. Even organized a boat for us to take us to Ile aux Cerfs. Staff very friendly.

The owners, this sweet Mauritians couple, took good care of us. Our flight was canceled and we needed to stay one night extra. They were so nice with our kids, they helped us in contacting the.airport abd they also helped us with the shopping. It was like staying with family, we felt so lucky and grateful. Food, location and room were amazing. Thank you for everything and sorey it took me long to write this review. We will never forge how nice you were with us.

I took sea view room. The view was really amazing. The women staff were also very nice. The highlight for me was the kayak. Beautiful waterfall.

However i didnt appreciate that the customers themselves have to lift the kayak and carry it to the river. And the put it back quite high on a wooden shelf. Thankfully my man was with me. Otherwise i wouldn't be able to do it.

IT's very calm and peaceful. The kayak trip to the magnificent waterfall was just amazing.

On the positive side, the free kayak rental and the trip to the waterfall are highly recommended. The ladies working for Jean-Claude are all very friendly. Jean-Claude, on the other hand, is only business-like friendly, at least as long as you have no complaints. However, I must point out the noise at the accommodation, which comes from both neighboring properties. On one side, the neighbor runs a kind of campsite with numerous large permanent tents where concerts are held late into the night. On the other side, a new building is under construction. The landlord Jean-Claude is the builder himself, and even on Saturday at 7 PM, the excavator was still working.

We booked this accommodation based on its rather good reviews. Unfortunately, we found that the reviews were much better than the reality. It's a very basic accommodation without any luxury. There isn't even a faucet with hot water at the sink. In theory, there should be hot water in the shower, but it barely comes out, forcing you to practically take a cold shower. Even the cold water pressure is very low. We had a "Superior Room" that didn't live up to its name. Its only distinction was supposed to be a view of the river and the ocean. However, the view is so minimal that it practically doesn't exist. I've attached a photo and marked the water so you can find it in the picture. A disadvantage of the "Superior Room" is also the lack of balcony covering. So, you can't place anything on the balcony or dry towels, as they get wet again due to daily or nightly rain. The bed is very narrow and too small for two people. The mattress is also uncomfortable. The walls of the rooms are not plastered but just painted over cinder blocks. The floor was merely painted concrete. There is a TV, but it's useless as it doesn't receive a single channel. There are no wardrobes in the rooms, so you have to live out of your suitcase. The breakfast is very limited. There are no cereals, just the absolute basics. There's only one egg available, and from the small pancake, you get just one piece. The optional dinner consists only of very cheap food items. Instead of a piece of meat, there are only chicken sausages. Cheaper protein is not available on the island, making the value for money very poor regarding the food. I would advise against it and recommend eating out. The value for money of the accommodation is poor. You get very little for quite a lot of money.

The owner’s terrible attitude. Booked two rooms and both under same Booker name on booking.com but different guest names, therefore the staff + owner had trouble finding the second room. I already paid and had confirmation of everything and the owner still said it was « impossible » that I had booked two rooms, that it’s none of their business but they only have one room for me. Later when he saw the other guests and the confusion was cleared, he also said I was the one who must’ve made a mistake when booking & that he doesn’t usually go through the trouble of checking Booker name and all. A lot of micromanaging from the owner, where you can talk (got told not to talk in rooms at night - to go outside in front of the property), not to talk too loudly, telling us where to eat our own food that we brought etc etc. You can tell the owner doesn’t have customer service skills and the relatively low price for this stay isn’t worth putting up with this. Go next door to Otentic instead where people seemingly were allowed to talk in their tents at night and have a good time. The owner, upon us checking in, also said they kicked out other young people for « speaking too loudly at night » as a warning to us. This stay would probably be appropriate for old couples.

Small complex, not too crowded, pool with a view over the river, sun beds at the river, free kayaks to visit the waterfall, nice breakfast and dinner, we had a boat trip organized to Ile aux Benitiers for 600mur each😊

Location a bit remote, so a rental car is recommended, also there is no lunch option at the complex, we walked to a small restaurant nearby which was a local experience, also one of the staff offered to cook lunch at her place so that can be done as well :)

Rooms are not equipped to make food. You will need to eat dinner there which cost 500rs per person. The food was very nice. I thought that orange juice would be part of the dinner but they charged me extra for that which was abit strange...

We spend two nights at EvaZion and can definitely recommend to have dinner here - the ladies preparing it are very friendly and the food tastes very good. We had a room at the highest floor with great view over the trees and even to the sea. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening and just watching the nature.

Wifi was working but there is definitely some room for improvement.
