The room was immaculate, also the pet package was gratefully received by us and our dog. The lady who showed us to our room was very friendly and polite. We will definitley stay again whilst our daughter is at Southampton University.

The accommodation was great.

The restaurant was far from good. The chef could not cook a steak. Mine arrived well under done and had not been rested. Within a few minutes, my plate was swimming in blood and meat juice.and for a steakhouse and the price, it was entirely unsatisfactory.

Comfortable bed, room very well equipped and nicely furnished. Coffee machine very much appreciated and liked having the radio. Very clean. Easy check in and out. Good value.

There was a bit of sound coming through to the room (chalet 16) from above which woke me early in the morning.

I did enjoy staying there. The apartment was cosy and equipped with almost I needed. It was a special joy to sleep at the bad and pillows were excellent as well. The location was good for travelling by car, parking was free for the guests, food was delicious. Nothing to claim.

Our room was lovely - clean modern and very welcoming - the shortcake biscuits were beautiful - coffee machine in room a real treat - food amazing !

Floor at entrance messy with leaves twigs etc - was the same the whole 3 days we stayed. Dead plants in the hanging baskets - not a good look on arrival

Bed was way too soft and the pillows were just huge and fluffy and the duvet was heavy which did not help given the summer heat. There is nowhere to put towels after use other than the floor as there are no hooks and nowhere to put your wash bag. So just badly designed.

Location is good, rooms are clean and good facilities like coffee machine, kettle, teas and coffee etc.

No AC and the room fan was useless in the recent heat wave we have experienced in the UK. Steak dinner a bit disappointing considering the price. Salad wasn't fresh, backed potato was horrible. Staff seemed overworked. No toilet paper in gents toilet.

The room was absolutely tiny. The weather was warm, but the room was oppressively hot. We were given a fan but it made no difference. The room was upstairs via an external door. The external door didn’t lock and the internal door was just a Yale look. We spent the night with a chair propped against the door for added security. The bathroom was minuscule; no window and a sliding door into the rest of the room. Cleanliness was average at best. Breakfast was pretty rubbish. All in all, a throughly disappointing stay and not to be repeated.

Rooms were lovely, clean and had everything you needed. They do not have aircon, but they did have a fan for cooling the room.

The room. had everything we needed and was clean there was a fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Liked the sitting area outside and so glad a fan was provided. Was also pleasantly surprised that we were issued with new towels the day before we came home. Also a 30% discount on food was also an extra bit we did not expect. Thank you

I liked the comfortable room and bed. Nice touches like a coffee machine and some lovely shortbread. It was a very hot day/night and there was a no aircon but a very efficient fan which worked well

The shower door could have been cleaner

The room was perfect for a solo traveller - very cute and highly comfortable. A little small if there were two of you. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was great.

Room wasn't particularly clean, one day cups weren't washed. On arrival both glasses were sticky. The pillows were ridiculously soft.

Dinner was very good. The room had plenty of space and was well equipped with tea, coffee and milk.

The bathroom was extremely tight, with no space to put toilet articles anywhere. The showerdrain worked very slowly. The soap dispensers in the shower were blocked. We didn’t opt for breakfast, as last time the choice was extremely limited or even fully depleted. Not worth the money.

The room was v warm, there has been a heatwave. The fan was on when we got to the room and we left it on all night. We did sleep. Need a vegan option for breakfast.

I stayed on a hot night but the temperature in the room was unbearable. The thermostat in the corridor, which was locked behind a perspex box, showed that it was 29.5 degrees. Stepping into the room it was noticeably higher than this. They had a fan in the room which did very little, no AC and the fridge was giving off so much heat I had to turn it off. They can't control the weather but they can control the temperature inside their rooms, I would not stay on a warm day! The TV didn't work. Unfortunately I left my phone charger in the room. When I called up to ask them if they had it they told me they didn't, which means someone has clearly pinched it.

At approximately 9:30pm, despite having prepaid for our room, we received a call asking whether we were still arriving. At the time, we were literally across the road securing our boat after a long day at sea. We immediately made our way to the hotel, only to be informed on arrival that the bar would be closing shortly. As a personal licence holder myself, I fully understand licensing requirements and operating hours. However, it was only around 9:35pm–9:40pm when we arrived, and we were made to feel as though we were being hurried out before we had even had the opportunity to purchase a drink. After spending the entire day on the water, being able to relax with a drink on arrival was one of the simple pleasures we were looking forward to. The impression given was that, due to low customer numbers, the young staff members were keen to close up and leave early rather than provide the level of hospitality we would reasonably expect as paying guests. This was particularly disappointing given that we have stayed with you previously and regularly bring a sizeable group of between 8 and 18 people. We have always enjoyed our visits and would not have expected to be treated in this manner. The experience left us feeling unwelcome and significantly detracted from our stay. In light of this, I would appreciate it if you could review the circumstances and consider offering appropriate compensation as a gesture of goodwill.

The food on Monday night fell way below the usual standard. One meal had to be sent back twice and still wasn’t right. Bit disappointed as. Regular here. The staff there brilliant and did what they could but it was a spoilt evening

The welcome and the room were great. Bed and bathroom were great. Short bread welcome and fresh milk for tea/coffee great. Modern TV and connections. Great breakfast

Only slight niggle was I could the next door cough and go to the bathroom! Thin walls

Warm and welcoming things like iron and board, milk and biscuits, and a lovely big fan which was very useful on the hottest days in ages Was attached to a lovely pub with nice staff. Food was ok and reasonable for the area.

The walls were thin so we heard next doors which was ok 1 night when we could hear the tv on a bit. The last night was far from good, 2:30 we were woken up by multiple alarms, they were then banging around whilst having the radio or tv on HiGH which was attached to the same wall we were sleeping against. They finally left around 3 slamming the door behind them and spoiling our sleep for the night. Looked for a contact number to ring but only found an emergency one which I was about to ring when he left. Also whilst in the blurb left in the room there was warning about being prosecuted if you took any fixtures but could not find anything to kindly remind you to respect your neighbours.

Really cramped king sized room. Unbearably hot - yes there was a heat wave but at nearly £350 for the weekend I expected a little more than a minimal Relief fan and told sorry nothing we can do when I asked for an additional fan on the second night.

We had dinner there… service was beyond slow and my poor 86 yr old father had what he said was the ‘worst steak of his life’ in the restaurant… my partners was also bad. We had breakfast there too… also really terrible! So nice place just don’t eat there.

Zimmer Nr 5 wenig Platz und zu Schneklstrasse extrem laut, 32 Grad, Fenster konnten nicht geöffnet werden da Schnellstraße vor dem Fenster. Ventilstor konnte nicht eingestellt werden, da Fernbedienung fehlte. Badezimmer war sehr klein.

Lovely spacious rooms and quiet at night. Very comfortable beds and nice to have a fridge with cold water & milk. There was also a fan as the weather was very hot. Would stay again.

Room was very small compared to the rooms we have usually stayed in (rooms 12 & 13) no space and no where to put anything . Lights and radiator s were broke aswell

The bedroom was nice and modern, the radio on when walking in was a lovely touch

After walking through the bedroom, what a disappointment the bathroom was, cracked tiles, Brocken toilet seat, limescale on the shower screen and the paint work was pealing

The room was lovely. Bed was super comfortable and had pretty much everything you'd need.

The bathroom was not clean. The mugs in the room were blatantly dirty, clearly had not been swapped for clean ones.

Perfect for a 2 night stay to visit family. Beautiful area. The room was perfect. Desk, storage area for bags, bathroom, comfortable bed and a fan. Staff were super friendly.

Besides the fire alarm that got set off by another person staying there at almost midnight, it is a great place to stay.

The rooms were of a high standard of decor with a lovely attention to detail e.g. fresh milk in the fridge! It was very comfortable. Staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was delicious!

All was excellent

Lots of great touches about this place: Cozy room, properly dark curtains, yummy cookies next to the bed, mini bottle of real milk in the fridge for tea and coffee, nice big mugs for tea and good food in the restaurant . I asked for a quiet room and got one away from the bar and thanks to the double glazing. I forgot my toothbrush but was able to get a complementary one at the bar. Very happy

The shower gel was empty (that’s really the only thing I can think of!)

La struttura è carina e le stanze, anche se piccole, sono sufficientemente confortevoli e dotate di tutto il necessario. E' possibile anche cenarvi se non si vogliono fare due passi nei dintorni per cercare altro.

Il bagno è piccolissimo e dal lavandino della nostra stanza veniva un rumore molto forte di "scarico" sia di giorno che di notte. La temperatura della stanza non regolabile autonomamente e le finestre bloccate.

Fantastic stay and our dogs were made truly welcome with a lovely welcome pack waiting for them in the room. A lot of hotels say they are dog friendly but they aren't really, however Harpers was exceptional. Our dogs had their own beds, dog bowls, towels and treats and in the evening they joined us in the bar for food. The room also had everything we needed and more. We will definitely stay again. The staff and manager are incredibly welcoming and the evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Our stay was faultless. Thank you

The room was not clean at all. The door leading to my room did not close behind me which raised a concern from a security point of view as it was easily accessible and nobody would know who comes up. The cleanliness of the room was far from good in my opinion. I suffer with dust allergies, the window had been left open making it really cold, I switch the heater on and there was a lot of dust. The bead side table was dusty also. Light switches for room and bathroom were very unclean, the bathroom had Toothpaste spit on the walls by the sink. There was mud on the carpet. I disposed of my socks as I walked on the floor. There was a noise that would come from the refrigerator which didn't help when trying to sleep. The door made a noise when other guests would enter and exit. I place the fan, the chair against the door to make me feel safer.

A great restaurant offering delicious food, friendly staff, and the added convenience of free parking.

The room was not clean, with numerous spider webs in the bathroom that made it feel like Halloween decor. Additionally, the room was cleaned before I had even returned the key, which was quite unexpected.
