Customs House Country Inn

A truly beautiful stay, our room was fabulous. The breakfast was top class and they also squeezed us in for dinner (I’d definitely say pre book if you are thinking of dining). The staff were great - a warm welcome for sure

We had a delicious meal on our arrival. A great night’s sleep and a delicious breakfast, the hotel was clean and the decor was lovely. We found the locals to be friendly and good craic 🤗

Le personnel était sympathique et arrangeant avec nos vélos, nous avons pu les stocker dans l'hôtel. Le petit déjeuner était très bon, et la chambre confortable.

Petit souci d'insonorisation, notamment pour les chambres donnant a l'arrière du bâtiment, proche de l'extraction de la cuisine.

Super spacious rooms, exceptionally clean. Nice pub and restaurant with good menu. Great location for the Borderlands cycle.

Very nice location and property with a highly accommodating and friendly staff. Excellent choice of breakfast menu items - all of which were delicious. We stayed one night and it suited our needs well. Conveniently located to Marble Arch Caves. We would stay there again if in the area.

It was a bit noisy due to an engagement party. One of our rooms had a handicap designed bathroom that was not as nice as the other room's bathroom.

Lovely place, great staff and excellent food.

The room was beautiful BUT very hot (it was a heatwave) and also the Inn is on a fairly busy road and hence some traffic noise.

Lift not working, breakfast was overcooked (poached eggs solid as a rock!) and way over salted - given no choice as rock salt sprinkled over everything whether I liked it or not! No shampoo or conditioner in shower just body wash ( for a 4 star would have expected this)

We really enjoyed our stay at Customs House. Breakfast and dinner were superb.

Lovely Inn, very friendly staff, nice room and good food in the restaurant. The staff work hard to deliver the best they can.

Noisy on the street location, very warm at the top of the hotel but they did bring us a fan, one window very sticky but they did fix it. Great that they have a small lift but it broke down during our stay. Huge bathroom but inconvenient and tricky shower over bath. Easy to take a tumble! Bedside lamp not bright enough to read in bed. Small niggles but we loved our stay!

Nice stay, we had dinner in the restaurant, and it was nicely cooked and served. good value for money, The breakfast is very good, cooked to order from a large menu.

it is exceptional but the lack of air con at present with the heat can be an issue.

Friendly helpful reception lady, excellent rooms staff lady who had excellent local advice on the local tourist attractions, and the restaurant staff were very good. Just all round friendly people

Gorgeous place, recently renovated. We were staying to be in the area, but we'd love to come back just to experience the full place.

suite in loft was really nice, room 9 from memory, clean and very comfortable, breakfast room was quiet when we got down, staff attentive, room fashionable, decor very good, food even better!

`just could be cleaner in the room's own WC - perfect other than that - oh the toiletries were not full and hard to get the shampoo/cond/gel from the wall-mounted units... maybe change that system is all

In a disabled room. Didn’t like the bathroom. The room lacked a bit of luxury and overlooked the roof. It was Sunday night and not busy so thought we could have had a better room.

Breakfast service was very slow and had some very overcooked bacon which was just inedible. Dined in bar on one night, chips were totally inedible.

Breakfast was the only disappointment. Limited options that were healthy or not cooked. The menu said homemade granola but there wasn’t any. No croissants or pastries offered (though I asked and one was found).

Hotel feel to this B & B - rooms very comfortable Fabulous breakfast. Less than a ten minute walk to McNean House where we met Nevin Maguire ! Fantastic night away !

Staff were excellent, food was exceptional albeit the portions of the starters could be a little smaller as I was full after the starter. Room was very comfortable. The only item I would fault is they should have more shower gels, shampoo available, this is only an observation and not a complaint. We stayed for one night after doing the stairway to heaven which is ideally located to the hotel.

I loved the entire experience and I would recommend a stay here I would absolutely return.

Comfy king bed

Lovely location, only a ten minute walk from McNean House. Tasty breakfast. Nice views of the park and trees from the room.

Room seemed clean but personal items were left in three separate drawers. The detachable shower head had been removed. The toilet was in a separate room to the bath with no extractor fan. The exterior of the building looked very shabby.

Excellent for MacNean House.

The hotel was beautiful and the room was fabulous but there were springs gone in our bed which made it uncomfortable to sleep in but overall it was a great stay.

The food was fabulous but..........I ordered the turkey and ham for my dinner and it didn't say in the menu that it would come out like a roulade with stuffing in the middle covered in panko breadcrumbs. It looked great and I know time went into making it and presentation was lovely but if I'm paying £25 for a main course I want more than a few bites of the turkey and ham (Parma ham)on the plate. The rest was lovely but a bit disappointed with the portion on meat.

I love the location and the parking was easy.

There was very little "special" about our stay. Everything was "okay" but nothing was outstanding or unexpected. The food in the restaurant needed a rethink. The roast potatoes were old. In Ireland. Reheated potatoes. I know it is one small thing but it jumped out at me and suggested that more care was needed. I expected more attention to making the patrons stay a little special but I think the idea was to make it "not bad".

The rooms were excellent. Very comfortable beds and the breakfast was excellent.

Great restaurant food. Great breakfast. Lovely staff.

The room was very nice but was facing main road so a lot of traffic noise from very early in morning. The bar closed at 9pm (very few guests) but we were directed to a nice pub a few doors away.
