The property has great potential, location is good and building could be amazing if it was taken care of.
The dirt, cockroaches and ants everywhere, sheets were torn, every surface covered in dust, seats in room were heavily stained, I could barely see out of the windows - looked like they have not been cleaned in years. Bathmats were stained and dirty, shower does not drain properly and whole floor ended up wet. Breakfast was supposed to be included but there was no sign of food or any staff members, any time we needed a staff member would have to walk around shouting for assistance so someone could come out to us. Photos are old.
The staff and location were fantastic
No television
Turks Head Inne is an historic building on a beautiful one way street in the small community of Cockburn, Grand Turk. A small hotel, it includes a lovely veranda and gazebo where we enjoyed breakfast each day. The people running THI were delightful, helpful and gracious. We were literally across the road and 200 feet from a beautiful beach. The Inne offered umbrellas and beach chairs we could have used (tho' we did not), and had an outside bar and a small restaurant which could provide dinner. The street was lined with bnbs and restaurants, making it a lovely place for a walk before and after dinner, while a fun Taco Shop was directly across, on the beach.
We delighted in every aspect of this laid-back stay! The woman who cleaned our room was efficient, effective and we enjoyed short conversations with her each day as she helped provide such a welcoming, cleaned room and bathroom for us.
that is was in close proximity to the beach
no toiletries, no food, terrible wifi
Super cozy, very well located, and the staff was just wonderful! We can’t wait to visit again.

Grand Turk changes completely between when cruises are in port and when they arent. This place is the perfect choice for both situations. First, the service is impeccable. They got us a taxi to pick us up at the airport, booked a golf car for us which we could bring back to the airport on the final day, prepared for us great food and allowed us to leave the bags and use the facilities after the check-out. Second, the place is located right on the beach, and close to the best two bars/restaurants of the island, one of which is right in front of it. Third, it's in the middle of everything. It's convenient for when cruises are in town, because with the golf car you can go where no tourists are. And it's close to the most incredible beaches when cruises are gone. They also have beach chairs, snorkeling gear and umbrellas available.
They day when cruises were not on the island nothing was open (restaurants and bars all closed, despite Google Maps would say otherwise). It would be great if they could inform clients about this or organize a lunch special for them.
Location was nice
There was no television in the room or a iron.
Location
Hiding fees
The pictures of this place is fake advertisement it’ like living in the slums, the place is crawling with flies, lizards, and spiders. The bathrooms weren’t cleaned properly, towels stained. There was dust and woodlice eggs everywhere. I am so upset I wanted a refund
Baby Girl and Lolli were amazing!!!! They were very accommodating with all of our needs and then some!!!. The only issues we experienced were general property maintenance. Additionally, attention to the little details would improve the property (I.e., gaps under the doors to the outside of the room), which allowed critters to enter the room. We had to keep a towel wedged under the door to mitigate our concern. Also, not realizing there was donkey poop sitting in the restaurant area for almost the entire day. This drew flies and the odor when the wind blew a certain way and was disgusting!! The mandatory 22% charges when dining at the restaurants was rather steep. It is currently their off season so there weren’t many options for dining. The food at Turks Head Inne was very good however. The ceiling fans were not functional and would ward off the no-seeiums! Besides mentioned above, we did have a nice time!!!
The hotel was in a great spot right near the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The silence of the area
There are no negative feedbacks
Its ok if you're staying for just 1 night but other then that it does look exactly look like the pics
Clean with very friendly and nice staff. Quiet and a stones throw from the beach.
Food and overall exteriors. Pasta, Pizza, Fish fingers, Cocktails, staff friendliness were amazing.
Room was smaller than bathroom.
Not what I expected
Nothing to like
Magical place to stay, people are so friendly and everyone is peaceful, loved it.
Close to beach
It was good for a night’s stay
Lolli and her team made us feel like locals.
For the price it was a very good value. We enjoyed friendly staff, meals were good and reasonable prices. Our room was clean, comfortable and authentically mid century Caribbean. Would stay again.
Quiet nice stay with excellent beach
Lollie's breakfasts were delicious. Fresh fruit is always a plus. We never had a bad meal. The location was delightful. The view of the sea out our window was extraordinary. The history on Duke Street was so interesting. A very walkable area to the "downtown." Golf carts are available for the day to see further sights. The best part of the trip were the people. They are very friendly and kind. When the cruise ships are in port, there is a lot more activity.
We had a hot water issue, but was rectified by the next day. Sunday is most business/restaurant day off. Plan accordingly or you could by without something to eat.
The towels had stains, the water was off until after 10 in the morning the room door required excessive force to close if you locked the bottom lock before closing the door.
AC wasnt working good
It's located in a beautiful area close to the beach, however dining options were very limited. The room was nice and big and comfortable and the staff were friendly.
It’s a good place to go ,quiet ,safe 😊😊
Excellent customer service
Great location, close to beach, central attractions, a few restaurants. Bathroom was good, wifi worked well, air condition too. They organised a rental car for me with pickup at the airport, and that worked fine.
A lot shabbier than it looks on the picture. I clearly had a different room than in the pictures. It's called Economy Queen, and the only "queen" about the room is the bed. There's actually not much else. There's no chair, no desk, hardly enough room to put a suitcase or even backpack. When you open the room door, you are pretty much directly standing in the bed which fills 80 percent of the room. There's only one side where you can get in the bed. The bathroom is good, bigger than all the rest of the room. I paid for 2 nights, but left after 1 night. Even taking into account that Turks and Caicos in general is an expensive destination, charging 160 dollars for that room is outrageous. One of the worst value for money deals I ever had on booking.com. Even in Manhattan you get more for that money.
We loved the historic charm, the amazing staff, the food, and the proximity to the beach (which we mostly had all to ourselves). The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious; we had everything we needed. Having tea on the porch was lovely.
It would be nice if they had bicycles or snorkel gear to borrow.
No tv in rooms so when everything closes at 8pm there’s nothing to do. Too quiet no entertainment
I had to Chase the staff to pay my dinners. They never went back to the table once served, and the service I had to wait up to 45 minutes sitted at the table
Nice place
The staff was very nice, very historical, there was no washer as mentioned in the amenities There was mold in the bathroom also the mirror the shower heads are in need of change, she was sweet enough to let us stay an extra day as we had to reschedule our flight, the internet was slow
Pretty historic inn across from the seafront, so good location
old historic house full of bed bugs. I got at least seven bids.
Very clean and friendly staff
Very rustic and charming. Right across the street from the ocean. Nice balcony and restaurant. The black friendly cat was definitely a sweet addition.
I thought we were booked for a room facing the water with a walk out to a balcony. The room was called ; “executive” which evidently meant a room facing the back. Was offered to move rooms but only for one night and it wasn’t worth it. The flat screen TV advertised is in the shared dining room not in your room. (Not a big deal to us) There is not an actual beach across the road. It’s a concrete wall. Pretty rough looking but you can walk around and get to the beach.
Quaint little inn where everything was very clean and suitable to our needs. Coffee and breakfast in the morning at the covered bar while it rained forced new friendships. Many accessible venues from here. Beautiful courtyard for evening sunset and dinner. The food is really good
Arrive to property and had to wait a while for checkin. Check into my room, which was not properly cleaned. Light fixtures on wall is full with clumps of dirt, termite droppings are in corners of the room, chair in room had dirt stains. In the bathroom floor looks Worn out and dirty, there is rust stains in corner where toilet is, the window panel and sill has a lot of mildew, there is a very raw scent coming from bathroom sink. Overall the staff are friendly.
The hotel was very comfortable and historic. Rooms were updated and modern. Restaurant had great food and the staff was excellent. Location was withing walking distance to the one grocery store on the island as well as historic landmarks and beaches.
The beaches within walking distance were just ok. To get to better beaches you need to walk a mile more or rent a golf cart.
Great conserved hotel, hostile and very quiet
Very colonial and the room we ended up in was spacious Staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good Position and outlook were very good Very relaxed atmosphere which was relaxing and helpful
The room we were allocated was a box even though the rest of the hotel was empty and although we moved rooms we weren’t given a free upgrade We arrived on a Sunday and there was no evening meals or bar and we were not aware of this
This pretty and historic hotel is across the street from the ocean. It’s very easy to walk from the hotel to beaches and restaurants and/or places like the Grand Turk Museum. The food at the Turks Head was great! However the manager (Loli) is also the chef, and I don’t think she has many helpers in the kitchen. If she has a lot of orders (eg at dinner), service is slow. The rooms are small. The hotel originally served divers and it retains that practical budget vibe: eg the room assumes you’re living out of your suitcase. There is a hook where you can hang up a couple items but there is no closet. There is room under the bed for a small suitcase. The attached Bathroom was clean and functional, but has an open shower (no curtain) Loli is a very engaged manager. She set me up with transport from the airport when I arrived and helped find me a rental car. I was grateful to her because when I arrived there were no taxis or rental cars at the airport!
The inn doesn’t serve lunch at the moment. They’re planning to open a taco bar opposite; once that’s completed it should be a fun lunch option.
Loved this historic little inn across the street from the beach. Great location in walking distance to restaurants and waterfront. The staff were friendly and attentive. Restaurant and bar were excellent - delicious food and service!
Everything was great!
location and food excellent
would have been nice to have a lounger for outside and outside area could have been kept nicer - it is so lovely and just needs a bit more care
Breakfast was ok, bacon, eggs, toast and fruit. The location was very nice
The property looks nothing like the pictures I was shocked when I arrived but the host was very sweet. I also didn’t like that there was no hot water nor a tv in the room.
Very friendly staff and amazing location.
Staff was so helpful
My trip was nothing short of amazing. The host was very nice and was always on stand by. The breakfast was the best. Checkin was very easy and i cant wait to come back .
Staff very helpful
The hotel was actually closed/under renovation. This did not impact much on our stay, but to be correct they should have informed us.
Tv and refrigerator
Location
The bed was extremely uncomfortable
We loved being able to sit on the pretty balcony of our room and watch the changing light on the water. The newly renovated second floor room with a king sized bed was a great size with high ceilings. Our hostess was amazing and arranged a taxi pick up and golf cart rental. Our breakfast on the patio courtyard was really good. It was very cool to stay in a hotel rich in history - John Glenn and President Johnson stayed in the hotel - and to get to know the other residents on the historic street. There are two beautiful beaches within a short walk. We loved the old world charm of the inn.
Loved staying here. The manager Lollo is an amazing individual who is always on hand (24 hours a day!) to help with anything. Nothing was a problem. We staying in room 1 which was great. It opened out onto a beautiful veranda with a sea view. The room itself was great - comfortable bed, good airconditioning, great bathroom. Would highly recommend
Nothing really. It's not super luxurious, and rough around the edges in some places, but if you don't mind that it's a lovely place to stay.
Historic building that does not appear to have been changed apart from some modern amenities.
This was the worst place i ever visited nasty old dirty
I didn’t stay , I had to book another room . it was terrible
no television, no microwave no refrigerator!!! the smell and the air conditioning didn’t work
THE PROPERTY WAS CLEAN AND VERY CLOSE TO THE BEACH
lovely historical In run by a lovely lady who really tries to make you feel welcome. It feels like your home from home.
Thank you to Lolli and Rosie for taking care of my family.
The breakfast was great. The location was central. But the proprietress (Loli) was spectacular. Loli did everything from seat you in the restaurant to make calls on your behalf to taxis, whale watch operations, and/or the food store. Be prepared to "rough" it a little - Grand Turk remains kind of a 3rd world place. But safe and hospitable. Do yourself a favor and get a golf cart at the airport...the "private dealers" of golf carts are a bit sketchy. The carts ran, but barely. The best carts are near the Cruise center...and of course, you'll pay - but it's worth it.
Communication remains a big issue on Grand Turk. Contact your cell phone provider BEFORE going and make sure you will have service. The internet was in and out throughout the week there.
Lolli, the manager and chef, is s incredible! She goes everything, including the wonderful cooking, and she goes it all well. The biggest downside was the nightly dining area was right outside the beachfront rooms. The music was loud and it was impossible to relax until they wrapped up, which was after 11 pm one of the nights. That was really frustrating.
location was perfect.
I can’t think of anything.
We had a beautiful stay at the Turks Head Inne! The staff were so helpful and friendly, and made our stay feel truly special. The space was beautiful and steps from the beach, how could you ask for anything better! The food and drinks were delicious and we are hoping to come back again soon!
Nice place with interesting history. The hostess was very nice made an excellent custom breakfast. My partner and I enjoyed our stay!
This really is a quiet and serene boutique hotel during the day. Its absolutely lovely, just quiet and relaxing. And the hotel manager will absolutely bend over backwards to deliver pretty much anything you need, whether it's to make you breakfast based on your schedule, call taxis for you to destinations or to the airport, or anything else you could possibly need. She was awesome. The hotel, is located right across from the beach, so its ideal for those who want to lay on the beach. The hotel is located just a 3 minutes walk away from the Grand Turk dive shops, which you can just walk to in the morning if you wake up late. Its quite, its serene, its convenient for divers to get to the dive shops. However, as much as I do recommend this hotel and as much as I truly enjoyed it...I do have one caveat.... It can be a little noisy at night. The hotel itself is a two-story boutique hotel in an old historic building. Right in front of the hotel, literally right outside your bedroom window, is the hotel bar/restaurant. The bar/restaurant is not 10 stories below your room or a 4 minute walk away from your room....its right outside your room. And this restaurant/bar is popular with the locals. When they are playing music loud at the bar....well, its pretty loud in your room. When they have karaoke night at the bar till 1:30am....well they are pretty much are doing karaoke in your room at 1:30am.
Lovely place to stay in Grand Turk
Amazing property. Very quiet and very close to the beach. Lolli was amazing and very helpful. I will surely come back here.
Classic old Caribbean property with modern facilities. Short walk to beach. Friendly, quiet. Nice bar and restaurant.
This was a pleasant surprise; nice bed and breakfast feel but with a terrific restaurant and bar. Owner/operator was very welcoming and could not have been more hospitable. Staff were very helpful as well.
The property is pretty cool for a transient stay or even a quiet vacation. If you are to stay for vacation make sure you book the King Suite. It's more spacy and comfortable. If you are just overnighting on Business and you are of average height then the Economy Room is just fine.
