- lokalizacja: w najbliższej okolicy hotelu nie ma sklepu, restauracji itp., więc wszędzie trzeba dojechać samochodem

Very bad service in the pool restaurant for a 5 star hotel, poor communication at the reception. Overpriced and average food.

Het hotel ligt op een prachtige, rustige plek nabij Fenais da Luz en Ribeira Grande. Unieke ligging op een klif direct aan de oceaan, zwembad met terras met prachtig zicht op de zee. Wij hadden ook een kamer met zicht op de zee, geweldig. Heerlijke bedden, verwarmd binnenzwembad en goede apparaten in de fitnessruimte. Kortom, wat je van een dergelijk luxe 5-sterren hotel mag verwachten. Het bedienend personeel in het restaurant en bar waren heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was prima, veel lekker vers fruit. We hebben zowel lekker in het restaurant als van het barmenu gegeten. Het barmenu kon je op het terras aan het zwembad eten, dat vonden wij heel relaxed. Wij verbleven hier de laatste 4 dagen van onze vakantie om heerlijk te ontspannen van alles wat we gezien en gedaan hebben op San Miguel. Daarvoor is het een perfecte plek. (Langer hoeft voor ons niet) Op 1 dag hebben we nog de korte kustwandeling vanuit het hotel naar Fenais da Luz gelopen, met continue prachtig zicht op de oceaan en de ruige kustlijn, een aanrader.

Die Lage ist einzigartig. Das Hotel liegt in einer Bucht am Atlantik, oberhalb einer Steilküste. Man kann bei den Meerblick-Zimmern vom Balkon aus Wale und Delphine beobachten. Die Terrasse mit dem Außenpool st auch in Richtung Atlantik ausgerichtet.

Die Speisekarte des qualitativ über ale Zweifel erhabenen Restaurants könnte umfangreicher sein.

The location of the property is fantastic if you are after peace and quiet.

This absolutely isn’t a 5 star property nor run like one. It’s a solid 3.5-4 star property at a great location.

Mielismy jakąś nieprzytomną sprzątaczkę. ciągle coś zapominała. Jak zabrała ręczniki nie wszystkie przyniosła. Tzn. dostaliśmy bez małych. Nie uzupełniała kawy i herbaty.

Emplacement et infrastructures au top

L’emplacement en bord de mer donne un cadre idyllique et apaisant. Spa et piscines superbes ! Le petit déjeuner est très varié. Chambres confortables et spacieuses (nous étions trois). Bien placé pour accéder aux points remarquables de l’île.

La salle de sport est un peu petite et vite remplie, les draps pourraient être changés plus souvent (5 nuits sans changement de draps même si tachés).

La gentillesse du personnel, l’emplacement, la piscine extérieure, la piscine intérieure, le musicien du soir en terrasse, le petit déjeuner, le bar qui permet de se restaurer à toute heure de la journée.

Lors de notre dernier jour, plusieurs famille sont arrivées avec des enfants en bas âge. Une enfant était particulièrement bruyante face a des parents qui la laissaient tout faire… ce n’est pas la responsabilité de l’hôtel mais quand on vient chercher le calme dans un endroit aussi idyllique, c’est forcément problématique.

It felt like a mass tourism place …no soul and no human interaction with the staff of the hotel, which we regretted most.

O pequeno-almoço estava uma confusão, sala estranha numa cave, com vista apertada para o mar. Quartos sofríveis com portas totalmente em vidro para a casa de banho e chao pouco confortável

gute Lage, grosser Parkplatz, schöne Zimmer, ein Lob an den Hausdienst und Zimmerservice: eine blockierte Schranktür wurde zeitnah repariert, LoBattery beim Safe wurde sofort behoben (Batterien ersetzt)

Das Frühstücksbuffet war äusserst enttäuschend, z.B. war der Frühstücksspeck war eher eine zähe Ledersole. Die auf den Hotelbildern verlockend schöne Innen- und Aussen-Pools sind beide bloss 1 Meter tief, man kann also kaum darin schwimmen. Das hoteleigene Restaurant war den Preis nicht wert, besucht lieber einheimische Restaurants in den umliegenden Ortschaften.

Beautiful property in a secluded area. Very quiet and restful. Pool was amazing. Staff was excellent and helped me with exchanging my car rental due to engine trouble in 1hour. And a new car👍

We loved everything about this hotel. The location, our room, the staff. Its an exceptional hotel. We had a suite with a full fridge, microwave and stove top which allowed us to cook meals for our son in the room. The restaurant was incredible with lots of variety, as was the breakfast buffet. We really loved the location as everything we wanted to see in the area was a 30 min drive. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay again.

Staff was friendly and helpful suggesting local attractions. Property was beautiful and great Oceanside views.

Everything was good but if I had to list something pool was a bit cool. But that is a stretch to list as didn’t like.

Vue directe sur la mer, chemin qui longe la mer, ambiance de fin de journée.

Petit déjeuner ordinaire, salle bruyante et entassée. Dîner carrément décevant. Nourriture mal apprêtée. Mon partenaire a souffert d’une intoxication alimentaire après avoir mangé de la morue. Mauvais entretien en général (peinture écaillée et gondolée sur les meubles, fond du bain usé, palmiers piteux autour de la piscine..)

La vue est exceptionnelle et le cadre au calme entre océan et campagne avec accès à un sentier côtier pour faire de la marche. Des piscines naturelles sont également accessibles à marée basse. Le petit déjeuner est varié, il y a beaucoup de choix. La chambre était spacieuse. Une partie de la salle de bain est vitrée pour permettre la vue sur l’océan depuis la douche, un store électrique permet toutefois un peu d’intimité si on le souhaite.

Le matelas était trop mou pour nous et semblait un peu vétuste car nous tombions un peu dans un creux chacun de notre côté. Nous avons contacté la réception qui a été réactive et nous a changé le matelas pendant la journée, ce qui a un peu amélioré notre confort. Dommage que la vitre de la douche soit pleine de calcaire pour la vue !

The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had a great sea view. The breakfast was amazing and they had different local produce daily (pastries, fruit etc). We didn't try the restaurant but the bar had good drinks and they had live music three evenings a week. Both outdoor and indoor pools were good and we had a great massage at the spa (book it in advance because they get busy). All the staff were very friendly! The hotel was easily reached by car and is in a quiet location.

Being a 5 star hotel you would expect everything to be exceptional and unfortunately it was not the case. While we had no negative feedback overall from the stay, it was the small details in the room that let you down a little bit: stains on the mirror, cheap soap dispensers, sliding door getting stuck, no decor or "luxury feel"... We felt we overpaid a little. The hotel would benefit massively from a light renovation/redecoration on the rooms.

Hair in my food the first night...food poisoning from their burger the second night. (Had not eaten anywhere but the hotel and my partner who did not eat the same thing, did not get sick). Horrible experience.

Wonderful family holiday at Pedras do Mar. The location and property is amazing. The view from our room facing the ocean was wonderful. We had an excellent t time, and the property is conveniently located.

Pěkný hotel, příjemný personál, dobré drinky a občerstvení na baru. Venkovní posezení a bazén se super výhledem na oceán. Dostatek parkovacích míst na vypůjčená auta.

Potřeba předem objednávat zapnutí sauny. Kuřáci kouřící na balkónech - kouř se z jednoho balkónu velme lehce dostane na druhý a otevřenými dveřmi až do pokoje. Kouření by mělo být dovoleno jen ve vyhrazených místech.

Chambre confortable et bien insonorisée. Belle vue et très bon petit-déjeuner.

Décoration un peu vieillotte. Piscines et SPA vieillots et en mauvais état. Rapport qualité / prix très médiocre.

Great location, good facilities, clean and well kept. Restaurant is really good.

Attitude by staff was not the best? We felt like we were trying to ask for basic things but it would be taken weird. One time a staff member got offended I asked what a dish was at a buffet. There was also a lady yelling at her staff loudly EVERY DAY at the breakfast buffet. We also find our pool towels in the bidet one time after room service. Why would they do that!

Das Frühstück bot eine große Auswahl, es war glaube ich für jeden etwas dabei. Die Mitarbeiter im Frühstücksraum waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wäre sicher schön, wenn man das Frühstück im Restaurant anbieten könnte, weil man dort einen traumhaften Ausblick auf das Meer hätte. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und es war alles sauber. Der Preis für den Aufenthalt war wirklich in Ordnung.

Leider würde unser Zimmer dringende Instandhaltungen benötigen. Die Bauweise des Badezimmers im Hotelzimmer hat uns nicht gefallen. Dünne Glaswände und nur eine Jalousie, die nicht bis zum Ende der Glaswand reicht. Privatsphäre: Fehlanzeige Die Beleuchtung beim großen Badezimmerspiegel war leider defekt und die Abluftanlage dürfte auch nicht funktioniert haben. Für 5 Sterne hätten wir uns erwartet, dass alles den höchsten Anforderungen entspricht. Verglichen mit anderen Unterkünften um den Preis war es leider nicht ganz so überzeugend.

Etwas ungemütlicher Frühstücksraum, in dem es relativ laut war. Keine Schallschutzmaßnahmen. Schade, dass der Restaurantbereich im EG nicht zum Frühstück genutzt werden konnte.

La chambre était très confortable, spacieuse avec une literie de qualité. La piscine chauffée était superbe, très bonne température surtout si vous avez un enfant en bas âge. Le petit déjeuner était varié, complet, suffisant. Le personnel était au petit soin et très réactif.

Das Zimmer war ruhig und die Betten bequem. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal beim Frühstück, an der Rezeption und in der Bar.

Das Architektur des Hotels ist sehr schmucklos. Nur Beton. Das Frühstück ist gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich, zB. der vertrocknete Bacon. Leider war es im Frühstücksraum unangenehm laut. Filzgleiter an den Stühlen wären die Lösung. Das Reinigungspersonal war sehr ungeduldig.

Adorámos tudo, desde o quarto, à localização, aos funcionários… o restaurante e o mar do hotel servem comida maravilhosa também. O pequeno almoço era bom.

Nota-se alguma falta de manutenção na piscina interior, o que não afetou, de todo, a nossa experiência

Very nice and helpful personel. Great sea view and spa center. We liked very much restaurant, great food and long opening hours. Pool open 6-22 also quite long 😀 we appreciate water and snacks on the reception. To us is a great hotel to rest and with good standard for Azores. From hotel it is possible to start great hike trip next to the ocean. Simply amazing. Very good location.

To nie jest 5* takie europejskie tylko bardziej lokalne. W Polsce to byłby hotel 3-4 gwiazdkowy. Śniadania monotonne (codziennie to samo), brak kucharza, który na świeżo szykuje np. jajka czy omlety. Dania na ciepło w podgrzewaczach. Basen wymaga juz odświeżenia- sauny różnie działają, jacuzzi w basenie praktycznie nie działa. Przy basenie / saunach nie ma wody do picia. W pokoju mieliśmy szklana ścianę oddzielajaca łazienkę od pokoju z gruba warstwa kamienia - miałbyć efekt wow ale ktoś nie pilnuje porządku. W łazience są w niektórych miejscach czarne fugi albo sylikon. Można by to domyć albo wymienić miejscowo.

Location is good .

Overall, my experience at the hotel was not client-oriented—almost every request was met with an easy “no.” Accessing the gym required picking up and returning a key at reception, and the water there was stale and not replaced, with no urgency from staff. The pool system was inconvenient as well—you’re given a card for towels but still expected to return them to reception afterward, which is unusual. The restaurant was disappointing: the food was average, the staff seemed unmotivated, and breakfast—especially the coffee—was particularly poor. I could go on, but this sums it up. I would not recommend this hotel.
