Very clean and fun
No coffee or eateries around in such a huge place. Closest Timhortons is 15 kms away. Not a place for your leisure stay. Rooms are clean but be cautious while you check in ensure what is provided in toilet should remain same else you would be charged after verification. Pro Ample parking EV charging Lots of space to walk Clean rooms Spacious and looks very rich Cons No ventilation suction in washrooms Room service not available round the clock Cannot reach this hotel over phone since call center closed after 6pm or address mentioned by google maps doesn’t take you to destination No coffee shop or eatery round the clock considering the location Only one breakfast place which is very expensive bagel and cream cheese cost 7$ In short not a place for leisure stay
Loved it!!
Waterpark
Staying with your family is really nice. The breakfast there is also a great option if you don’t feel like going out.
The water park was closed during our stay. Unfortunately the shops were also closed and it was very quiet but a beautiful place to stay.
. The water park had extremely limited hours, which made it difficult to enjoy. Dining was even more challenging – there were only two onsite options, both with very restricted hours. We didn’t have the chance to dine in, and when we tried take-out, the staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming. Additionally, there were no basic facilities to prepare or warm up our own food. Only one microwave was available for all guests on the floor, with no sink or cutlery provided. Since outside food options were more than 40 minutes away – and many closed before we could even get there – it left us with very few choices. For a family trip, these limitations created unnecessary stress and disappointment, and we hope you will consider addressing them for future guests.
Love this hotel definitely coming back
Beautiful place for have fun with the family
Tout était correct
Perfect for family. Clean and nice room. Beautiful hotel. Highly recommended.
The property was clean, comfortable, and provides plenty of room for us. The only disappointment was that there is no pool you can use without paying to use the waterpark. Water in the lobby would also be nice.
Good for families
The hotel was pristine clean, the receptionists very professional polite and helpful. Great locarion for skiing.
Good hotel, basic restaurant service
We had a great time with the family in the Bora Park
The room was spacious and clean!
The hotel was amazing related the water park for the indoor. I would say for the quality control before renting a room. To make sure the shower is fix. The handle broke and this is something could of been prevented from the cleaning person to report the shower handle was loose and going to brake. Hope next time the team can monitor more this stuff as this hotel is not cheap to stay . Your paying 300$ plus tax per day you would expect a higher quality of rooms . Outside of that hotel has lots to offer and it’s like being in a resort down south for the mini shops and restaurants. Also you have 24/7 arcade room for the kids to play .
Perfect for family
Everything around was closed during our stay unfortunately but all the rest was excellent
Nice new hotel but we visited mid September and nearly all of the Restaurants were closed or open for minimum hours. Understandable considering it is the off season I suppose! Will have to visit in the summer to get the full experience. Otherwise a great stay.
We definitely had a nice surprise when we arrived here. The first impression was that it was too far away from everything, but really it has it all, and if you plan your visit to Old Quebec trip carefully, this is really a good option, specially during low season. We enjoyed the hotel facilities which not only include a great indoor waterpark (Outdoor waterpark looked amazing, but it was already closed for the season) but we also had a chance to play a lot with the kid at the Arcade room. This hotel was thought to be very practical, with amenities that really were thought to help the traveler. The staff was amazing and very polite all the time and to our surprised some of the front desk personnel even talked Spanish (which is my native language) additional to French and English. We did not tried the restaurants at the hotel, mainly because of the limited menu and also because we did not like what we saw at the reviews, so instead we chose to drive to "nearby" (about 15 min drive) restaurants. Overall we had a great time at Hotel Valcartier and we will most definitively return.
The hotel is worn down. Gastronomy is none existent and the little they offer is really and I mean really expensive. Bottle of water at 3.25$ for starters. Three restaurants that open randomly during the day and also close suddenly because short staffed, which is comprehensive but still, a 4 stars hotel with such fees and no food around the place after like 9pm. Housekeeping doesn’t do the basics of housekeeping for the time you’re checked in, only new towels upon request. But your garbage you must empty it at the large beam by the elevators yourself. No vacuuming, nothing. We mostly eat outside for the 4 days we spent, but being no close to much, it’s a 30 minutes ride anywhere or you can make yourself a delivery from the St-Hubert’s near by every time. The one time we had a snack at the marina bar close to the pools outside, we had a charge of 86$ for 6 pizza slices that were uncooked and some sort of tasteless chicken fingers. I normally eat like a WWII prisoner after being rescued but if I’m being charged premium fees for food, then I expect a bit of tasty food on my table. The staff was utmost friendly and provided the best service overall. A lot of young seasonal students work there and it gives the vibe that you’re there for a fun time indeed. Lastly but most concerning, they don’t seem to be bothered by the ridiculous amount of flies all over the place. That’s a huge let down, it makes the place look dirtier. Something must be done asap.
Great location and room set up for families. They seem to have a fly problem in the rooms and hotel in general which.is unexpected given the high price.
Great hotel. Rooms very modern and clean. Excellent facilities
We stayed 3 nights, bought the 3 days unlimited water parks, so our kids had a blast. The room was very big and clean, except there were lots of flies everywhere in the hotel… There are not much choices for restaurants in the hotel or around the area… no good coffee either…
Perfect
I liked staying here as you could come and go to the waterparks easily. The rooms were big and it was a quiet hotel. I didn't like they didn't clean your room the whole time you are there (we stayed 4 nights). The TV was hit or miss to work. We seemed to always have to call and get them to reset the TV so it would work and when it did work it froze a lot. The WIFI was really slow as well.
We loved the indoor waterslides. We didn't like the fact that there were not many dining options and restaurants were too expensive!
Thank you for the stay. It was the best!!
We had a great experience the only comment that I have is that the staff was soooo young ! Most of them were very professional and my only worry is that they can easily be taken advantage of by the more unpleasant guests they were all so young and timid. I understand the lack of working hands but I would have liked to have seen more adults supporting the younger staff.
ok
Great property and activities but far from quebec city.
no amenities included as a renter. No breakfast included no pool included, not even an outdoor bench to sit on. everything has to be paid for to enjoy our stay. SUCKS!
Very clean with friendly staff
We love the Winter Tubing and indoor water park but were disappointed that the bar was closed in the aqua park. Only good for parents for so long!! As well, the restaurant closed at the same time as the pool, so was difficult to order snacks following our swim.
Property was great, lots to do if there wasn't shutdowns in place. Limited menus for take out when restaurants were ordered to close and not alot around. Restrictions aside, beds were comfy, rooms were very spacious. Would have liked a larger fridge than a small bar fridge and maybe a microwave and toaster given lockdowns in place and hotel geared to families. We will visit again.
Restaurant hours could be extended.
Very clean, family friendly, the water park was great.
While I must have stayed in over 100 hotels over my lifetime, I have never encountered such deplorable service from a supposed high end hotel. Checkin required sitting through a 90 minute lineup that extends out the door, with only 2 staff members to process the backlog; leaving all of us to suffer outdoors during a heat wave . See attached picture for an idea of the checkin lineup. Restaurant service is virtually non existent as well, with over an hour delay between placing order and receiving meal.. fire alarms poorly placed in the room, and will start to ring annoyingly if you decide to take a shower . Could not wait to get out of there today.
The rooms should have toaster and microwave plus cutlery and dishes
Nice experience ,the only thing , just put some free games for kids , i went in another hotel were all games are for free. Also, breakfast included will be great
Very bad hotel with poor level of service, lot of flies even over the food, bad room service and no follow up on your requests
Not once in 6 days was the room cleaned (COVID is no excuse). Not once I saw staff wiping down elevators or social areas. The shower curtain smell like humid after requesting a change which never happened ended up washing it myself in the laundry of the hotel. Dirty room service dishes sat on the hallways despite several calls. The water parks are nice. Would not recommend
The room was not ready at promisedtime , the staff who cleaned it left such terrible body odors behind that my 8and 10 years old were not impressed. I was offered a 50 $ reimbursement , I did not get it. felt disrespected and unimportant, big deception
The property is very new and offers a fresh design and layout. At the property are two waterparks one indoor, one outdoor. Each has a unique set of water slides, wave pool, lazy river, flow rider and other splash areas. We used the indoor park during our stay and had a lot of fun. The hotel also offers a full spa, and multiple restaurants. During covid only one restaurant was available the “safari” themed one. The food was better than expected but not 5 star by any means which is fine the pricing matched the quality of food and the decor was enjoyable. During our stay we had a king suite which featured a good sized tv/desk area, separate bedroom area and a good sized bathroom. The hotel room was clean and staff were constantly trying to keep common areas clean as well. Room service was not anymore expensive than eating in at the safari restaurant which was nice in the morning for breakfast. The staff at the hotel really set this location apart they were almost all bilingual (english/French) which was great as we didn’t have much French speaking ability. On top of this they were all so friendly and helpful for anything you need. I really can’t say enough good about the staff. The cons of this property are there was only 2 elevators for 5 floors of rooms and multiple restaurants and waterparks plus other amenities. With thousands of people there having 2 elevators does not accommodate that adequately especially during covid when they suggest only one family at a a time.
We paid for 2 nights at $249 per night and no toiletries are in the room.Due to covid there is no housecleaning and due to the fact that there are waterparks on site, even if you are staying at the hotel there is no available indoor/outdoor pool unless you pay again to have access to the spa. There is an arcade available for the kids. We paid for the outdoor waterpark and it was a super fun fulled day!
The hotel is very clean. We loved the room and the fact that the two bed sections were completely separated. We loved the proximity of the water parc.
Nice hotel, confortable beds, clean rooms, looks like a new hotel or recently renovated. We enjoyed the water park and spa facilities. We definitely be back!
Great service, not a lot of people due to COVID restrictions. Got our room earlier.
Hotel is beautiful and modern. The water parks are really amazing lots to do for all kids age (I have a 3,7,9 year olds). The only that could have been better is the diversity of food and restaurants (although might be because they just re-opened after covid). But overall we and the kids loved it and would return!
Great hotel for families. Indoor and outdoor water parks, a play area with several game machines(you have to pay), some shops and free parking. Hotel located in a very amazing area with kinda mountains and trees.
Everything was perfect!
I loved the fact that the waterpark had its own entrance from the hotel and you can get the ticket right from the front desk.
Perfect stay, lots of fun for the kids. Clean and quiet hotel. Nice spacious rooms.
Le site et les activités sont formidables. Cependant, plusieurs clients ne respectaient pas le port du masque.
Clean, friendly, very family oriented. Foods are tasty, fresh and affordable. Overall very good experience.
Nice hotel, big rooms and comfortable bed. Reasonable prices. On the flip side, the bathroom was not very clean. Therre is NOTHING around this place besides the waterpark. It was impossible to find a restaurant that is open after 8PM. And although they had no other clients, the Safari restaurant refused to served breakfast when we arrived at 10:50 am, because it is until 11. Overall, not impressed.
Great hotel and nice service, motivated employees, access to a lot of services A
Very nice and moder
We choose this hotel because of the 5 restaurants and beautiful amenities. Due to covid, only 1 restaurant was open. I asked the front desk for a menu, and the menu they provided me was not the right one as the menu being served was much smaller. The menu was supposed to be available on the TV but it was not. The couch in the room was extremely uncomfortable and there was nowhere we could eat the meal that we had to go and get from the restaurant because there was no room service. We were on the 5th floor. One of the elevators was out of service when we got to the hotel, and upon check out the next day, the second elevator was also out of service, meaning we had to walk down the 5 flights of stairs with all of our luggage. The place is beautiful, but it would have been nice if the website had indicated everything that would not be available for our stay. It was very disappointing. The bed, however, was extremely comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, and the food that we did eat, was ok, but not worth the price. That being said, there was only one employee in the kitchen, who was taking customer orders, cooking, plating, taking the money, and serving. He did a great job considering everything he had to do. I would say that there was a general lack of organization. The staff did what they could, but nothing seemed to go smoothly. At $200 per night, I was expecting more, even with the covid-19 restrictions.
Great hotel and amenities. Our family will definitely be back to this location.
hotel bedrooms and all facilities are great. food options are very limited. and the options are not great. we had to went out one night for take out. however, pretty amazing the hotel de glace, the sliding in snow amd rhe. ora park. we will definitively return.
The ice hotel was amazing but the winter park was not I expected. There was not much to do except the tubes slide. My daughter was disappointed there was no ice skating no skiing and no snow shoeing. Overall we were happy with our experience at the ice hotel.
It was great overall The only comment concerns the clerk that took our check- in, she seemed very bored by our questions, did not make Eye contact and was more interested in looking elsewhere Very impolite
We really liked the high shower head adjustment since we are a tall family, the heated bathroom floors Wer really nice also
Always happy to be back here
Beautiful views and facilities. Excellent service and the facilities were spotless. The Ice Hotel, the snow tubbing and the Bora Park were incredible. The food offerings in their restaurants needs improvement.
Loved the Murphy bed! No individual soap or toiletries. Just one of those multi use units in tub/shower. Extremely clean, great dining options. Hotel de glacé AMAZING!! Room was extremely quit even with families with kids.
Great family hotel. We Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the waterpark was amazing lots of fun. Our kids loved our hotel stay, we also ate on site not too expensive good options. Beds were comfortable room was clean.
We had a fabulous stay! Lots of fun to be had here, such a great spot for a family vacation. Food was good, however I
Enjoyed the stay, souvenirs are great, restaurant are fabulous. Would definitely bring my kids there again.
The facilities are beautiful and clean however the service is horrible the food is a complete joke. Restaurants and bars close to early as you are doing your activity for example the Bora park until 9 PM and by the time you go back to your hotel room get changed you’re supposed to have time to go eat and have a drink by 10 PM that’s right 10 PM everything is closed
Everything about this hotel is great, once you in there there's no need to venture outside, they have restaurants and bar, arcade, waterpark, shoppingand lots more fun activities, the rooms are very spacious. I just love it.
This place is amazing for family fun! It's huge resort. We loved every bit of it. Everyone is very nice. One thing I would say hoping someone would read it and make a change. Although hotel is very clean itself. The rooms inside are not cleaned daily. We stayed five days there, we had cleaned towels dropped off trash removed but no one vacuumed our suite for five days. There were most obvious crumbs on the floor and bathroom floors we not mopped for five days as well. The hotel rooms are specious and new, very contemporary light colors and because of that it's easy to see dirt on the floor. Otherwise our stay was great! Will go back definitely . Not many places offer so much for fun! Highly recommended
It really needs staff that cares about the customers and also shows appreciation. I believe the staff is not trained sufficiently to the manners and attitude required in a hospitality industry. Most staff seem to be teens with no interest in their job. Instead they prefer to spend time with other staff and do the strict minimum. The cleaners were very professional though, as well as the receptionists. As a parent of a young family (typical for this property), I was hoping that the amenities would be adapted to younger kids (from 2 to 5). Here are 2 simple ways the property could improve: 1) Post ALL the information about the holiday activités (cinema, shows, adventure, etc) on the website - make the details only accessible only to hotel visitors 2) Provide a drop-in daycare service: it seems it's been requested by customers AND staff but not implemented yet. This would've allows us - and probably many other families - to enjoy the Aroma Spa as a couple, the Bora Parc with our 2 eldest, and eat at the O'Grill late in the evening => more money for the property and higher satisfaction for the customers 🏆🏆
We loved our rooms, 2 suites overlooking the tubing hills. The employees were fabulous from the front desk to the workers throughout. The bellboys were very helpful and friendly. It would have been nice if the room cleaners had vacuumed at least once during our 3 night stay. We were a group of 14 family members including 4 children. We all enjoyed the tubing, the ice castle and the water park. The kids loved the arcade. We reserved for New Years at the Safari restaurant for dinner at 4pm. Arrived at 3:50 and they had given our large table to another group of 5, so we had to sit at 2 booths that were beside each other. Not what we wanted but we took it. Our table was served dinner in a timely manner, second table with the 4 children and 4 adults received their meal when we were done the main course. Two had to go to the bar and re-order their drinks that never came. This is our second New Years that we have come and spent a small fortune for a holiday, perhaps New Years is the wrong time.
Lots of activities and good food, and organized very well
Was an amazing place to stay and everyone was willing to talk English
This was such an amazing trip... a mini vacation that exceeded our expectations! The snow tubing hills were picture perfect, the indoor water park was soo much fun and the ice skating was a treat!! The restaurant choices and pricing was perfect and the service was great!! Only oops moment was in our mini fridge, there was left over food from last people that stayed in our room. Easily taken care of so it wasn’t an issue. I highly recommend and want to go back again!
I was confused by photos and thought that water park and winter playground are included since we payed over $300 per night. Unfortunately we had to pay $99 CAD per person to get access to all of it. In addition, food in the resort is horrible, especially Safari Restaurant. Overall place is clean and convenient, but overpriced and doesn't have any good dining options. Consider only if you get a really good deal and you are ready to drive to other restaurants (15-30 mins).
We had a very good stay very clean very spacious
Stayed with family for three night during Christmas holidays. Poor quality restaurants for a 4 stars hotel. No restaurants nearby the hotel. Hotel is overpriced during the holidays. Bora water parc and outdoor snow playgrounds are very crowded with very long waiting lines
Lors of activities to do, clean, good restaurants, helpful staff, great aquaform instructor
The place is amazing! The hotel is very clean, the staff is kind and the services are extraordinary. Best family vacation ever!
all the services was great
Excellent stay , very nice , clean and family friendly resort.
This hotel is wonderful and clean, the staff is extremely helpful, lots of things for kids to do. The rooms are spacious and well thought out for families. I totally recommend this hotel for a great time at the water slides.
Beautiful spot. We will go again! We loved the swim park and the hotel room was spacious and new.
Room cleaning is not cleaning. They juste replace the sheets of the beds and change towels. No more coffee or change the glasses, or add cups... Deceiving. I regret leting tip on the bed.
My family loved the waterpark. It was nice to relax and have a beverage while watching my kids have a blast inside the park
Amazing place water solide impression me i will be return sure Thank you
Ultra modern, neat and clean, with excellent water park facilities and others for children entertainment. It looks much better than similar places in the Poconos like Wolf Lodge, Camel Beach etc.
It was all fun
Food was terrible !!!! Spa service poor. Hotel was clean and modern.
The hotel rooms are modern, simplistic and clean. The out door water park is absolutely amazing and is worth the money. The indoor water park is also amazing on a smaller scale and great option on rainy day or winter. The only downfall to this resort are the restaurants and food choices. The food quality is poor and the service is not that great, was often slow and unorganized.
My Family and I enjoyed staying at this place , it a very friendly and family place
