Reviewed Sep 14, 2026On n'est jamais déçu dans un Ks House : il y a tout ce qu'il faut : cuisine bien équipée, lounge sympathique, personnel adorable, chambres confortables, ambiance très sympathique entre les voyageurs.
S'il y avait une table de plus pour les repas, cela serait parfait, car avec seulement 2 tables, c'est très vite emboutteillé.

El baño me parece algo pequeño y anticuado, muy básico en comparación a todos los que hemos probado en Japón.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026The location is very convenient, and the staff are all super friendly and helpful. The shared kitchen is exceptional! The dormitory bed also has great lighting, which makes it really comfortable for reading or relaxing.
The shared areas were not very enjoyable during my stay, as some guests had strong foot odours and the smell of alcohol was quite noticeable. Since I was staying in a dormitory with only my designated bed as personal space, I wanted to use the shared desk and common areas to relax and stretch out. Unfortunately, I did not feel comfortable doing so because of the poor hygiene and lack of consideration from some guests.

The vents in the beds need to be cleaned, they have a lot of dust that gets in the bed every night . The ac is good but doesn’t get into the pods , the pillow was very flat

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026Very good location close to the bus terminal and train station so it’s especially useful if you are making day trips out of Takayama. Room for 3 with a tatami bed was more spacious than it seemed on the photos, for 3 nights it was perfect. Common area nicely furnished and kitchen well equipped for all kinds of cooking. Staff was very helpful and there were a lot of information pamphlets on what to do in the area.
Very small bathroom, sometimes people in the rooms around us made noise late at night after it was quiet time. Generally it wasn’t a big issue though

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026The staff were extremely helpful in helping us organise trips to Kamikochi and Shirakawa-go, and of such kindness! Our children (12 and 14) also loved the place. The kitchen is well equipped and clean, complete with recipe ideas, coffee, tea, barley tea, … Since we stayed more than 3 nights, we were given 2 vouchers for free laundry, washer and dryer, which we much appreciated! Also, the AC was welcome on those hot days. Btw, we loved the Nepalese curry restaurant just on the corner of the street 30m from the Hostel!

Noi siamo stati in una camera privata stile giapponese tradizione, allora abbiamo dormito sui futon. Ci hanno spiegato tutto come preparare i letti. La chambre était petite et très simple. Pourtant c'était l'hébergement le plus cher de notre séjour au Japon et on a trouvé que c'était le moins bien de tous. C'est peut-être la ville qui est plus chère que d'autres... La salle de bain minuscule et peu fonctionnelle.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Ostello situato in pozione molto comoda, 10 min a piedi dalla stazione, nelle vicinanze si trova un Family Mart e poco più distante un 7eleven. La città di Takayama si gira molto bene a piedi e la struttura è vicina ai quartieri più gettonati. Disponibile una cucina ben attrezzata e pulitissima per poter cucinare o semplicemente mettere alimenti in frigo.

Plus nice chill common area downstairs. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely, so friendly. Free coffee in the mornings was great bonus!

Unpleasant smell from the common shoes storage area. Visitors using the kitchen stove should be reminded to turn on the range hood, there were visitors cooking heavily in the kitchen in the evening and not turned on the range hood, causing greasy kitchen floors and the smell smoke has gone up to the rooms at all level.

De la calle a la recepción no hay ascensor, ojo (es un piso eso si). Luego ya en el hostal si que hay. Hay que descalzarse para acceder a recepción, un poco fastidioso.

Das Haus ist wirklich sehr hellhörig und da natürlich nicht alle Rücksicht darauf nehmen, kann es gerade beim Schlafen unglaublich stören. Sollte man durchaus vorher bedenken.

Reviewed Apr 28, 2026It was rather clean, checking in and out was easy.
Extremely tiny, the futon might as well be the worst thing I have ever slept on (by far), the bathroom is really small, you hear everything the neighbors do so if you happen to come across people being super loud until 4am, there is no contact given to you on the noise notice. The washing machine is paid which was just another nasty surprise on top of that.

淋浴的水壓水溫有點不穩定，希望可以有專屬拖鞋。 六人混宿一晚1000台幣，價格有點貴。

Reviewed Apr 24, 2026We hadden de traditionele familiekamer met tatamimatten en futons. Het was leuk om een keer te proberen. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte was prettig. Dicht bij het station.
Er was weinig interactie tussen de gasten. De kamer was duur in vergelijking met wat we elders in hotels kregen.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2026This is our second time in K's House Takayama Oasis and we still had a great experience. We chose to stay in a private double room this time and were surprised that it was bigger than what we were expecting. It also had a table with a small tatami area for lounging. They also upgraded their washer which was a plus. It's very near the train station and a short walk to the nearby shrine. As with all K's hostels around Japan, the lounge area is welcoming and the kitchen is really nice. The staff are all friendly & helpful. Would definitely come back next time we're in Takayama.

Het was nogal gehorig, mensen die op gang wandelen hoor je bijvoorbeeld De douche in de privé kamer was slecht. Klein zwak straaltje.

Luckily I had a dorm room to myself because the place wasn’t busy. But if 4 people with bags were in the room it would be very tight space. The rooms were pretty small and there wasn’t too much space for luggage. I would have preferred free towel service.

Was on the top bunk and this hostel was one of the most difficult beds to get in and out of for some reason!

Il s’agit d’une auberge de jeunesse avec des dortoirs, et sanitaires communs, et quelques chambres doubles avec salle de bain privative. Nous étions dans une chambre double avec sanitaire privée. Le confort est sommaire mais suffisant. Ce qui me frappe, c’est le rapport qualité prix : nous étions deux jours avant à Kanazawa et pour le même prix, nous étions dans un hôtel quatre étoiles, proposant tous les soir un apéritif gratuit et le petit déjeuner inclus, avec un espace Lounge disponible toute la journée. En rien comparable avec le K’S de Takayama qui ressemble plus à une auberge de jeunesse. Nous y étions pendant le Spring festival, Peut-être est-ce la raison.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2026Ik heb een fantastisch verblijf van 2 nachten gehad bij K's House Takayama Oasis. De locatie is perfect: op nog geen 5 minuten lopen van het station en bij aankomst werd ik heel vriendelijk ontvangen. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte is ontzettend gezellig met comfortabele banken en tafels die voorzien zijn van oplaadpunten. Een absoluut pluspunt was de tafelverwarming, heerlijk! De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien en er is gratis koffie en thee. Ook de aanwezige wasmachine en droger zijn erg handig en de wifi werkt uitstekend. Ik verbleef in een vrouwendorm voor 4 personen en dat is erg goed bevallen. Het bed was van alle gemakken voorzien: een eigen leeslampje, een veilig kluisje voor waardevolle spullen en handige oplaadpunten direct bij het bed. Het matras lag heerlijk en het dekbed was erg fijn, waardoor ik fantastisch heb geslapen. De badkamer en toiletten bevinden zich buiten de kamer, maar zijn modern, overal brandschoon en de douche heeft een heerlijk warme, goede straal. Bedankt voor de goede zorgen!!!
