Rooms were perfect and service were good.

Being told we making noise during the day yes if its night its understandable now we were playing with kids at the pool and because they on vacation they got too excited and kids do make noise. They should accommodate everyone

treatment from one of the staff members was not good, i was accused of burning a pillow-case with the iron, i did not even use their iron as there was an electricity problem, the pillow case only had stain from my coloured hair, i was accused of burning it, instead of asking me they sent me an invoice to pay for the pillowcase, i was not okay with the treatment, i even washed it to prove to them that i didn't burn it.

Nice enough pool and location

We booked two rooms. One of them looked nothing like the one we thought we booked from the photos. Furthermore, it was so dump the pillows were wet and smelled of feet. The aircon didn’t work. We had to remove the duvet and lie our own blanket on top of the sheets and pillows to be dry. The courtains and ceiling were all spotted of mould. The whole place smelled of mould and dump. We also had to sleep with the windows open, which meant we heard every plane taking off from the nearby airport for the whole night. The sofas and decorating pillows on the bed were dirty and mouldy. The other room was better but the courtains were mouldy and dirty too. The duvet had a cigarette burn and the towels were dirty. And the pillows smelled of sweat. I think the whole place should not allowed people to sleep in it. The conditions are borderline negligence and it is unacceptable to let people sleep in it. Low cleaning standard and the property could have at least left a dehumidifier and trying to clean the room. We barely slept. The worst stay I have had in years. We are incredibly upset and underslept, I can’t believe anybody could think of this as suitable to sleep in.

We did not have breakfast because I had to leave at 6:00 for the airport.

The blinds in the kitchen were very dusty/dirty, and there was a broken cupboard door in the kitchen as well as a lack of teaspoons. The towels were worn out, and musty spots on the ceiling of the bathroom. There were dirty marks on the carpets. Bedding okay....??? Garden not attended to, etc.

It was convenient. Met my need. Staff was easy to communicate with.

- les draps etaient sales avec des cheveux et des poils - le petit déjeuner n'était vraiment pas bon et bas de gamme + personnel pas du tout sympa et serviable alors que nous étions la seule table occupée.

The accommodation, food, service, surrounding gardens and the staff….especially the staff were beyond excellent. Nikki taking us to all the animals was extra special. We came away (reluctantly) feeling like we had been in a piece of African paradise. 5 stars doesn’t do it justice…More like 50!

Zimmer alt und modrig. Unangenehmer Schimmelgeruch, alle Räume und sogar die Textilien im Raum (Bettwäsche und Vorhänge) von Schimmel befallen. Definitiv nicht wie auf den Bildern. Als wir das Personal damit konfrontiert haben, haben sie so getan, als ob sie nichts davon wussten.

Excellent service. Upon arrival the reception lady walked us to our room and showed us all the facilities. The room was clean and we had a comfortable stay. I can definitely recommend staying at Kingfisher Gueust House when in P.E

There was a weird smell. The water from the tub/shower floor would not go away easily (so a little dirty pool by the end of your bath). We noticed that there were better rooms for the same price which is somewhat unfair

The pool and outside area looks nice. The room itself was old and the smell was not so nice. The bed was good.

The Breakfast was lovely, the people were friendly and warm. Everything was perfect for me and my husband, we will definitely come back here.

It was spacious and clean, my family really loved it. The owner also waited for us until we got there at around 1am. She was very friendly and kind.

The place is just a walking distance to the beach which was nice

The lady at the reception was not welcoming, didn't even care about us the visitors, the room was literally a one room without a kitchen yet it's a self catering guesthouse, we had to overspend on takeaways because there was only a microwave and a kettle in there. Overall the service was horrible and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Very nice cottage with everything you can ask for. There’s even pre-cooked meals in the freezer that you can buy! The bed was very comfortable. It’s close to the airport and also have a nice little garden. The wifi was working perfectly. The owner is absolutely lovely and very attentive

The rooms were looked pretty old and a bit tatty. The breakfast was 150 Rand per person which is overpriced. Some of the fruit on the buffet was not fresh anymore. There are no private patios for each room. It is all part of a very small pool area.

Each room has its own private little outdoor area. We really enjoyed the pool and other guests were friendly. Good facilities in the room and helpful staff. We would definitely return.

The staff are lovely, garden is pretty and the room was private.

The parking was limited, the bathroom door needed fixing and it didn't feel like a space good for children.

After asking for late checkout and confirming late check out upon arrival, I still felt rushed out at normal checkout time by the staff.

If you have to stay in Port Elizabeth I guess this was just about acceptable

Rooms not cleaned properly - quite a bit of mould in evidence. Looked a bit tired overall. Port Elizabeth itself was disappointing so I'd look for other places on the garden route to stay

Lovely staff and big, well furnished rooms.

Very comfortable and spacious. We booked two rooms, one had a kitchenette with the basics. Garden is very nice with table and chairs for each room but could not use them due to the weather. Breakfast was not included in our reservation. It's 150 ZAR pp. Parking is free inside the guesthouse, but a bit small for large cars.

The sofa bed was only suitable for small kids. Not very comfy. Pool is small, just for a refreshing dip.

The room was big and had everything in it to make for an enjoyable stay. Plenty of cupboard space, shelves in the bathroom and shower. The cutlery and crockery in the room was good. There was a fridge and microwave which were very useful. Everything worked well and it's obvious that the property is well-maintained.

The room was a bit dark and there wasn't a view. That was not a problem as I was mainly out.

The breakfast price wasn't included I had to pay R300 for a lousy breakfast because I don't eat pork.

They gave me a very small room that is clearly not for two people.

Kingfisher is walking distance to the beach and in a safe neighborhood.

The receptionist lady Ellsea is incompetent for her job. She is rude and not friendly at all. She gave my car keys to the other guests but could not even apologize to me after realizing her mistake. What a risk? Understanding me. Saying I should leave my car unattended and take Uber, only to find out that she gave the other guests my car keys.

We stayed one night before catching a flight to Durban and it was perfect. The guys welcomed us and gave good advice on where to eat and how to get to the airport

Good value for money although could do with some updating

It is a wonderful place with a great room ( Maritime) . Very well appointed and very tastefully decorated. The manager, Fiona, was most pleasant and helpful. It is a great place to relax ( nice walks around) before a long flight. We loved it there.

We loved our stay. We got an upgrade and Henk give us a lot of information and suggestions about the Town and the restaurants near by. Breakfast has a good variety of foods and drinks. We only spent a night but I wish to have more time there. Thanks for the warm welcome.

As a smoker/ vaper it was good to know beforehand that there is a no smoking in the rooms policy ,but there are designated areas for smoking as well as a little patio in front of your room where you can comfortably smoke .

I'm always happy when I have meetings in PE to stay at the guesthouse. Very friendly owners at a great place. Not too far from the beach. Delicious breakfast as usual. I hope to be back soon.
