Anamar Skiathos Hotel

Decent size room and close to the airport (if you don’t mind walking up hills or always getting a taxi)

Room very unclean. Shower head spilt so water covered the entirety of the bathroom. Mouldy smelling fridge. No cooling or heating apparatus for breakfast

Nice mid size hotel in silent surrounding in nature with a view to the sea and partially to the airport. Swimming pool with and without shade. Self-service breakfast on the terrace with a view. Big simple room with balcony.

Distance to the Skiathos town or good beaches might be an issue for someone, all manageable with car/scooter. Breakfast selection could be a bit better and a choice of coffee could be improved as well.

The receptionist was helpful.

We had booked a room with a balcony. However when we arrived, we were given a room in the basement which stank of mould. When we went to check our allocation at reception, we were told the room was the only one available. After speaking to the manager, we were informed that we could either stay and receive discounted drinks or we could cancel for a full refund. We cancelled our booking and stayed somewhere else for the night. When we got home, we received an email to say that our refund had been refused! Despite two emails to the accommodation and one to the hotel headquarters, we still have not received any replies. Disgusted!

The only good thing about the hotel was the air conditioning was quiet so you could sleep peacefully at night. The beds were firm and not worn out. My wife wants soft beds. So 50/50. The pool was nice and was maintained by a very dedicated man. I'm writing here of what was not good due to the limited characters in not good field. Also I will need to claim refund from Booking.com! The hotel is indescribably dirty and worn out, and more reminiscent of a hostel or a 2 star Chinese hotel. It has nothing to do with a 4 star hotel, and you also have to pay 10€ per person per day in tax. It's rude! Unfortunately we had booked 2 rooms. One for 2 weeks room no. 214 and the other for 4 days room no. 98. We believe that the hotel can only be used for 1 night in case you have to leave early the next morning and not eat breakfast. You would think that the room numbers were put on the doors by a kindergarten. The pictures speak for themselves. The poor students who were employed at the reception did not have it easy with the many complaining guests and an indifferent administration. The 2 young uneducated women in hotel business, did their best despite the extremely poor working conditions. It turns out that the hotel has been bought recently and has also been given a coat of paint all over it. The counter itself was painted black and it was already worn out and looked terrible. By the front door there was mouse shit every day!!! 🤮 The pictures speak for themselves. A mother and her daughter worked in the kitchen. They also had a hard time because of the poor facilities and had to wash all the dishes manually. This resulted in not so clean cutlery, plates etc. In addition, the dining tables had a textured surface and were impossible to clean. To be continued in the next field of what was not liked.

The breakfast was incredibly sad and unhygienic. The hot food was cold because of no heating. The cold food was hot because of no cooling. The pictures speak for themselves. The mother was very gracious to fry fresh fried eggs for us every morning. Thank you very much. It was a wonder we didn't get stomach problems and diarrhea. The cleaning of the rooms was beyond criticism. We encountered two women. One a Bulgarian who didn't speak a word of English and the other a Greek who spoke fluent English. They were both friendly but had a very hard time keeping the place nice and clean. For example, they only had sanitary cleaner to clean mirrors and glass. It looked like sh…. No mirrors, glass walls or windows were clean. The pictures speak for themselves. As previously described, the hotel had been recently bought and they had also given it a paint job all over it, including the bathtub!!! We lived in a painted wreck. I showered every day at the pool. There was a shower that worked 50%. The pictures speak for themselves. The rooms were dirty. Dust on the surfaces. No wardrobes, so we lived in suitcases. The toilet wouldn't flush, and we had to borrow a bucket to flush it down the toilet, otherwise things would just float around in the toilet. Really disgusting. 🤮 There was only a bedside table on one side, which we pointed out, after which we were given a filthy garden chair in the room. Had a meeting with the administration and a lot was promised that just wasn't kept, such as buying cabinets so we wouldn't have to live in our suitcases on the floor However, after several requests, a shower curtain was put up in room 98. Room 214 is listed as a room with a view. However, that is not correct. You look straight out into the trees. Outside on the balcony you can look down towards the airport and the bay to the left. The only problem was that it was so indescribably dirty that you couldn't stay out there.

Nada. Es horrible como hotel. Y como servicio. Nada agradables

L’esmorzar molt just.

The pool the view where amazing and the staff were helpful. The location was good

The condition of the room was poor , it was dirty , old and tired.. You couldn't shower properly as the water would go everywhere . The noise in the morning when they were setting up for breakfast was so loud it woke us up...more then loud talking than anything else. There's nothing to soke up the noise so the staff need to be aware of this. We had the worst night sleep.

Great hotel, with lovely pool

Good breakfast

Mouldy bathroom with unfinished walls. No Wi-Fi in room

Lovely hotel, Great pool. Excellent value for money.

Colazione ottima, posizione comodissima

There gives me no option to advise you that on the am of my arrival , I was advised that my room was not available due to maintenance issue and no other options offered. I'm awaiting refund plus costs.

See above. The communication thereafter was poor and no answer re confirmed refund.

The position, the pool was lovely well maintained Balcony for breakfast with amazing views Staff very friendly and helpful

The bathroom was little run down, and doors very noisy when shut Shutters bang in wind but only had this for 2 nights so after slept better

The proximity to the airport was the reason we choose it. The pool and the bar service weere great and we enjoyed very much.

The property has plenty of stairs to reach the room. Shower is not close and the bathroom get wet.

Terrazzino sporco Struttura vecchia e camere datate. Vasca tutta incrostata di calcare Colazione molto scadente.

On a hillside 15 mins walk to the port, 5 mins drive. Great view of a small harbour and airport runway, but the noise didn't disturb us. Breakfast is varied. Staff friendly and helpful.

We booked into a semi basement room which was clean and roomy for the three of us. The shower tray wasn't really big enough and water would end up all over the floor when you showered.

The staff was really nice

The room was dirty, the pictures did not show the real status of the rooms, it was not well equipped, the whole hotel needs a full renovation… They say it’s 3 or 4 stars, but I would not even give 1 star.

Great place great staff great views big bank too walk up only downside but we knew when we booked it great pool And lots of sun beds good view of the planes coming if you like plane spotting a little dated in places but 10 out of 10 for everything we will be going back next year excellent hotel and skiathos town is great 👍👍

Esperienza pessima.

Bazén a ochota personálu

Špína, vybavení a zápach kočičí moči na pokoji

The views were amazing and the pool was perfect for our five kids. The staff was also very responsive and the breakfast was great. It is a bit of a long walk to the restaurants but doable. Skiathos is a lovely island!

Úžasný výhĺad a blízkosť letiska.

Absencia závesu alebo dverí v sprche, hluk a neustále búchanie dverí. Raňajky stále tie isté.

Good swimming pool

Needs some improvements, bathroom not good, balcony needs attention, very expensive shuttle, transfer didn’t turn up went to wrong address, they sent it again didn’t have a trouble finding it then , and then charged us double

After a minor renovation, the hotel reopened in June this year (2025). Its location is excellent, especially for those who come to Skhiatos to watch the arriving planes, because from the balcony of the hotel reception (where you can have breakfast) and from the pool (standing) you can see the runaway. The centre and the airport (with a small suitcase) can be reached on foot, although the last 300 metres to the hotel is a steep climb. There is plenty of (free) parking for rented vehicles. Breakfast is reasonably varied (muesli, cold cuts, eggs, sausages and pastries, fruit) and everything is replenished when you run out. The staff are very nice, smiling and friendly, especially Garifallia from reception. The atmosphere is family friendly. The pool is large (but after about five metres it gets deeper than two metres!), clean and the water is a pleasant temperature. There are enough umbrellas and sun loungers and a bar. The room was cleaned daily (if you left the key at reception). There is working free Wifi, air conditioning, hair dryer and a safe.

- I missed the vegetables (tomatoes, peppers) for breakfast. - At other four-star hotels, we were given a sandwich if we checked-out before breakfast. - A trash can by the pool would have been nice. - The bathroom was missing a shower curtain and there was no pump hand wash and towel holder. - A retractable mosquito net should be installed on the balcony door. - The semi-basement (essentially ground floor) room where we lived smelled a bit musty. - The balcony was not cleaned.

-Bar a disposizione -Piscina -Vicinanza all’aeroporto

The location was the only good thing

The property was very very old and nothing like the photo’s which made the room look like new! It was very dirty, see photo’s, and the bedside table handle was broken. The balcony had not been cleaned for a very long time so could not sit outside.

La posizione vicino all'aeroporto ( circa 5 minuti in taxi ) è strategica e comoda.

Filthy hotel, my Dad's room had a broken bathroom door and stunk of acetone (apparently they had painted the bathroom floor that day). My husband and I had a disgusting bathroom, dirty stained shower tray, toilet brush covered in paper and poo, broken cupboard door and plug socket half hanging off ! Neither rooms had space to hang anything longer than a shirt up and the fridges were old and dirty. Showers didnt have any screen, so soaked the toilet and floor ! Not a glass in sight, had to go and ask for a glass each so we could have a drink. Pool area stunk, bar didn't even have any coke and beer in bottles that they forgot to take lids off ! Complained to Gari at reception, she was very helpful, although her boss said there wasn't any other room available, after my Dad said give us a refund, the boss said he had one 3 person room available that my Dad could have. The floors in the hotel were filthy, dead bugs everywhere and the balconies were disgusting too. If we had booked more than the 2 nights we had, we would have gone elsewhere. We didn't spend any time apart from to sleep in the hotel, and that was hard because it was so noisy. The breakfast was minimal choice and looked vile, so we ate elsewhere ! 3rd floor was closed off, lots of wires hanging down and water marks down the walls next to them. A danger waiting to happen !

Nulla.

Accoglienza alla reception glaciale. Colazione scarsa.

The breakfast was good. The view from the breakfast was stunning. The pool is clean and well maintained.

The cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Basically, the room is only cleaned if you leave the key at the reception. Unfortunately, I found this out at the end of the stay, and in one week, the room was cleaned only twice. What also bothered me was that I had to pay tourist taxes as if it were a 4-star hotel (€10/day), when in fact, on all websites, the hotel is listed as a 3-star, and I should have paid €5/day. I felt deceived, and this left a bitter taste. The rooms are clearly not 4-star quality. In the bathroom, the shower tray was cracked, there was no shower curtain, etc

This place, I imagine is worse than a prison cell. Old creaky beds, 30+ mosquitos in the room, no shower curtain so that when you had a shower the water went all over the toilet, toilet roll and floors. Very noisy, banging doors, thin walls. It's obviously a very old hotel that has had a lick of paint and thinks that makes it better. They overcharged us on the Tourist fees as apparently this is a 4* place... Not a chance. I asked for a taxi to be booked for our checkout.to the airport, but was told I'd have to pay €15 to the hotel as it's a service they provide, it cost us €8 direct to the taxi. So the hotel basically wanted to charge us €7 to make the call. I have stayed in many basic Greek hotels and guest houses, but they were all clean with honest Greek people running them, and I would definitely return to them. This place tried to get as much money out of us as possible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! THERE ARE PLENTY OF NICER PLACES TO STAY THAT ACTUALLY COST LESS THAN THIS PLACE..

Lovely pool, bar and view 😄

Breakfast, room 207 - shocking shower facilities 😣

Great views

We didn’t expect luxury, but we found something even better – a hotel full of heart. The staff made us feel like family, especially Irene at reception, lovely Maria who kept our room spotless, and the amazing manager Nikos. The location is great – close to the airport, beaches, and just a short ride to Skiathos Town. Anamar may be older, but it has soul. We’ll gladly come back!

Camera infangata, umida e sporca. Doccia senza tenda né porta. Scarico a terra del bagno senza pendenza. Odore di muffa persistente. Ditate sulla testiera del letto. Prolunghe elettriche volanti. Barriere architettoniche ovunque. Colazione senza tovaglie e servizio. Piscina con scarico a fondo vasca rotto e pericoloso.

Jó környék, szép kilátás

A fürdőszoba igénytelen, koszos, kopott.

A fürdőszoba zuhanyzó részére elválasztó függöny

Colazione buona con ingredienti freschi. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Posizione abbastanza centrale. Bisogna abbattere barriere architettoniche (scale)

Personale molto cordiale ed empatico. Colazione fantastica!

Our stay was wonderful. Friendly, familiar hosts. We would definitly come again. We used ascooter which was braught to the hotel for 120 € for 7 days.

Langer Check-In Prozess, da nichts vorbereitet war, keine Hotelbar.

Our checkin was very slow, we had to wait over 2 hours. But we were offered coffee and nice view and pool to pass the time. Our room was basic. Breakfast was excellent and the staff in the morning were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel with great pool but long walk up hill. Vibe query and charming.

Theodore was very welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay good We were surprised there was no bar or food during the day and the hotel was a little worn out but we still had a great time and the breakfast was excellent All the staff were helpful The view was lovely

Nice hotel. Super friendly host. Tasty breakfast. Great pool. 30 minutes walking to port, airport or downtown. Downside: pool closes at 5 pm, still sunny, super hot weather. No aparent reason at all as there is no lifeguard on duty.

Easy to reach from the airport, even walking. Owner very polite and serene even when very busy

First of all.... I pay 120 eur... The hotel is rated 3 stars... On internet site I read "hotel completely renoved 2023"... The girl on reception is nice, friendly, extremely beautiful, and kindly help me to find excursions for the afternoon and take my baggage in a store room.. The hotel is in a good position, close to the center, even if at 100 Mt from the airport, but it is silencious and relaxing... But, terrible things: rooms and public spaces are too old, not renoved!! In my room toilet water doesn't work, so, when I poop, I can't trow the toilet paper down the toilet but I have to collect it in a bag, and in the bathroom and in the room there are bad smell... Room is really dirty, I don't know why so dirty with fingerprints and staines everywhere. Breakfast: little little little choice, coffee machine doesn't work.. At the end, my room, paid in advance, turns out not to be paid until, in the evening, they fix the situation. So, I think at least they should have given me a large discount for all these inconveniences, or let me have another room.. The next night I stayed in another hotel..

The rooms were very clean, good place to stay for one night. The staff didn’t speak English, no body was at the pool bar and the breakfast was ordinary, squash for orange juice and unappetizing bread ,no fruit
