Wunderschönes Hotel welches die Gradwanderung zwischen Familienhotel und Ruheort für Stillsuchende perfekt schafft. Große Anlage, sehr geschmackvoll ausgestattet, sehr freundliches und bemütes Personal. Essen hervorragend, jederzeit wieder.

Keine Klimatisierung, die Sommer werden immer heißer, teilweise war es unerträglich warm und auch die Zimmer sind ohne Kühlung. Der einzige Wermutstropfen.

Die Anlage macht insgesamt einen außerordentlich sauberen und gepflegten Eindruck. Unser Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig ausgestattet. Das Personal an der Rezeption und im gastronomischen Bereich war zuvorkommend, kompetent und jederzeit auf der Höhe des Geschehens. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, ausgewogen und von hoher Qualität. Das Abendmenü war hochklassig, die Bedienung nett, zuvorkommend und kompetent. Die Wellnessbereiche waren ausreichend und sauber.

Die Gesamtanlage ist etwas verwinkelt und zu unserem Zimmer mussten wir einmal durch die gesamte Anlage. Das ist aber meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Nachtruhe gestört. Gourmet-Restaurant geschlossen, obwohl Sie in der Bestätigungsmail eine Reservierung empfehlen. Fenster und Tür des Zimmers müssen grundsätzlich saniert werden. Nachspeisen und Kuchen ohne Qualitätsanspruch. Digitale KI am Telefon unterirdisch. Preisgestaltung der Buchung intransparent. Mittagessen dabei, jedoch wurde ein Verwöhnpension zusätzlich in Rechnung gestellt.

Ein wirklich wunderbarer Ort, um sich zu erholen und entspannen. Das Personal ist durchweg sehr freundlich, zugewandt und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine Roligio-Suite: Sehr schöner und geräumiger Raum, der liebevoll eingerichtet ist. Der Service ist toll. Ein Rund-um-Sorglos-Paket, dass jeden Cent wert ist. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.😘

We loved this hotel, the spa facilities were great, especially the outdoor pool. The food was fantastic, we really enjoyed our breakfasts and the evenings meals. We stayed in a suite which was very comfortable and had a lot of space, we loved sitting on the balcony. Thank you to all the staff for being so helpful and friendly, we would love to stay again.

I have never said this about a hotel stay before, and we have been on five continents. "PERFECTION", yes, really, in every aspect of our stay. You name the category, and it was all beyond our very high expectations at a very reasonable price for how we stayed in a suite package. We also liked the overall layout, decor and dress for it's authentic 'german-ness'. This may sound strange, but for those of you who abhor and understand some of the fake-ness that pollutes many venues. This hotel, its staff and its owners understand and deliver a relaxing authenticity not often found. Diners in shorts and T-shirt, my retirement uniform, were abundant along with whatever else the very upscale guests wanted to wear. We met a number of very interesting people, many who had been coming to this jewel in the South Harz for many years again and again. This fact is it's own statement of quality. Well done and run Nora and Josef Oelkers and Staff. We will be back as soon as possible.

Sehr schön, Zimmer schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Essen sehr gut, Service bei dem Preis könnte ein wenig besser sein. Alles in Allem aber Klagen auf hohem Niveau.

Friendly stuff, Good bread for breakfast and chocholate at the reception. Good gym, good sauna, good nature, nice hiking possibilities. Loved the water and the tea.

The breakfast, the room and the facilities were not too special for a 5-star hotel. I expected more after being in many other comparable hotels. There are so many grand coffees in Germany, but the one, the hotel has chosen, was in my opinion unfortunately just an average. It had some cleaning agent smell and taste at some point. That little story was dissapointing.

Rundum war, für uns, alles perfekt. Das Essen war super, die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiterin, der Ausblick und der tolle Service. Die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig und komplette Ruhe hat man, durch mitreisende Kinder, auch nicht wirklich aber trotzdem kommen wir mit Sicherheit wieder.

Das Personal war wunderbar.

The rooms are OK with view on the water, large balcony The restaurant should be improved, plates quite bad, returned most. The “chef” told us he would do something but didn’t heard anything later on. Can hardly recommend.

We were staying in Bad Sachsa but not in the hotel. We thought this place is highly recommended so lets go there for dinner. This turned out to be a disappointing experience. First of all, when we came in with dripping coats and umbrellas we were just brought to our table, and we had to chase down staff so they could put them away in the cloakroom. Clearly not an issue with hotel guests. Next surprise was the very limited menu. There are 3 main dishes on the menu (hopefully a daily rotating one) and they have one soup of the day and one appetizer. Prices were not shown or mentioned. We were informed we had to pick the main dish and could get the soup and appetizer from the the buffet (again, there we no other choices). As we didn't like the 3 main dishes offered we learned they could also serve us a rumpsteak. No prices were mentioned (nor did I ask). We ordered a 34 euro bottle of wine to go with the steaks. When the waiter retuned she mentioned they did no longer had this wine but they had a good alternative, again no prices were mentioned (nor did I ask), but when we got the bill at the end this "good (for them) alternative" was with 58 euros almost double the price... The food was good and if you are a hotel guest staying for a number of days the very limited choice is of course no concern, but if you go there as a guest only for dinner this is weird. What also struck us as weird is that for some guest the waiter offered to get the items from the buffet, but this was not offered to everybody and most certainly it was not offered to us. We noticed that even some hotel guests were looking at this with surprise. The real surprise for us came when we were offered the bill. The rumpsteaks which were fine but not great and were 34 euros each, as mentioned above the wine turned out to be 58 euros, 4 euros for the water and 32 euros in total for the soup, appetizer and deserts coming to a total of 162 euros. Again the food was good but the overall experience, available choices and price-value are totally off. This was for me the 3rd night in a row I went for dinner with my wife, the first night we spent 400 euros and the food, drinks and service were fabulous, the second night we had dinner in Bad Sachsa for 70 euros and the food was good. This third night was the first one where i really did not get value for the price paid, so unless you are a hotel guest, don't go there for dinner.

Das Essen war sehr sehr GUT Das Personal sehr nett, insgesamt sehr schön, nur die Schwimm und Saunalandschaft könnte größer sein. Das man für Spa Behandlungen 4 Wochen vorher buchen muss ist leider auch ein Witz

This hotel is not for the 10 countries in 7 days traveler but rather the destination explorer. We spent 4 days in the Harz mountains seeing local sights, hiking, exploring and just enjoying a part of Germany that none of us had been to. The hotel staff is A+. Incredibly helpful, courteous and kind [we are non German speakers ]. The pool was delightful and refreshing - we were in a 94 degree heat wave. We are al Fresco each night and the meals were prepared by a great chef. The spa was world class with multiple steam rooms, showers and different relaxation rooms. I snuck in a 7 essential oil massage and was basically relaxed into a long nap!!! In all this hotel is a hidden gem that most tourists don’t know about. They have a 73% return guest rate (I sat and had a schnapps with the owner) and is family owned (second generation). It’s a great stopping point on your way to Berlin. Thank you so much Oelkers family for opening your hotel to us!

Sehr freundliches Personal, super Service, großräumige, gut ausgestattete Zimmer

I stayed for 4 days with my girlfriend to relax. Very personal welcoming, staff takes their time to show you around. Big and very clean wellness area. At dinner, owner himself went to every table (certainly about 50-70 tables) to ask if the guests were satisfied and happy. At leave, we forgot sth in the room, staff sent it out to us via post one day later. Food was great as well. We are very happy and will come back.

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, NICE SPA AND LOVELY FLOWERS ON ALL BALCONIES

Went for a very special occasion,as so many people had recommended the restaurant. The first impression was awful as the entrance foyer was littered with children playing noisy games with no adults in sight. The only meal available was a very poor buffet with people milling around the food and little sign of any waiters. We waited 30 mins for a drink, selecting hot food was difficult Because of children running around. What about hotel and European safety regulations? We did not want to pay the full bill for such a poor meal but when we complained the glossary?? Said this was a CHILD friendly hotel!!!!!!😃😂

Mir hat besonders gut der Wellnessbereich und die Schwimmbäder gefallen.
