The Swan Inn Pub

Large clean room with good facilities and pub very nice in great location close to Richmond without being Richmond prices. Breakfast was delicious with croissants, toast, cereals, juice, coffee, tea, yoghurt and fruit plus a choice of cooked breakfasts aswell. Good value for money.

However, even though good value for money, nothing beats a good night sleep which my husband and I didnt get. The double bed mattress needs replacing as it was very uncomfortable. We had to sleep on the quilt to get some comfort, with the small blankets over us, as the bedsprings were clearly felt even through the quilt. Just replace it.

The TV was complicated to use and the signal frequently got lost. Having to register for any channel I watched was irritating, so I didn't bother to watch anything. I was lucky to get one of the free parking spaces in Lion Wharf, but I don't know what I would have done about parking otherwise.

Staff were friendly, pub was nice, room was clean, plenty of clean towels and location worked well for me.

The door lock needs to be changed key got stuck sometimes. The bed was very uncomfortable. It is an old building with thin walls and floors, I stayed on the first floor and didn't sleep much due to the room above me seemingly playing football until around 4.30 am! The TV had no terrestrial channels that worked (BBC,ITV etc) and the channels that did work stopped working around 8 pm and didn't come back on! I was travelling alone so this was rather annoying.

Shower needed a good clean around the edge. Basic and dated. The light in the ensuite had a habit of turning on and off.

Not much. We had been prior informed that a DJ was plying on the second night of our stay so we were prepared. However it was so much louder and rowdier than anticipated. I felt like it was a club in Ibiza with drunk noisy customers in and out. Didn't seem to match the cosy pub atmosphere.

Really lovely little pub. So close to major bus and tube routes and handy for Heathrow, 10 mins from Richmond etc. Lady who checked us in was super friendly and easygoing. Everything was so easy and straightforward - no frills, no fuss. Room was clean and nice and cool.

Excellent value for money, a fraction of the price of big hotel alternatives. Great location and very helpful staff, nothing was too much for them. Free weekend parking on the street outside was a bonus.

It's a friendly, convenient, pub at a super rate and I'm not going to compare it to the 4* or 5* hotel offering which was the pricey alternative.

Le personnel était vraiment très serviable. L'emplacement de l'hôtel proche d'un arrêt de bus était vraiment pratique pour ensuite aller vers les stations de métro pour Londres ou l'aéroport d'Heathrow. Le petit déjeuner était excellent. Les chambres étaient tout à fait correctes.

Great room at such a low price. Staff were really friendly, pub was really nice and in a safe and pretty neighbourhood. Beds were comfy and shower worked well. Due to the heatwave it was very warm, but you'd do well to find anywhere that wasn't at the moment! Continental breakfast in the morning was a great addition too

The shared bathroom could benefit from a little more cleaning. Also if you're a light sleeper then it would be worth bringing ear plugs because the corridor has quite creaky floorboards and the doors close quite loudly

We've loved the location and a lovely Italian restaurant nearby. In the evening we took a stroll into Richmond along the river, which was amazing. The room 1 was very nice, spacious and airy. The breakfast was nice and check in was very quick.

Toilet wasn't cleaned properly, mattress was not very comfortable, you could feel what it was made of.. The bunk bed was very rickety. Coffee sachets were given to make coffee with in the morning. As we were so close to Heathrow planes were going over every few minutes but you soon get used to them

Più volte ho alloggiato in un pub nel Regno Unito, ma questo è stato di gran lunga il più pulito e accogliente. Una bella stanza spaziosa, con una bella vetrata luminosa e un bagno pulitissimo, una colazione varia e di ottima qualità (c'erano perfino i croissant, rari in UK) servita nel pub tirato a lustro per la mattina. Davvero un'ottima base per visitare la zona di Richmond/Kew Gardens/Isleworth. Ah, dimenticavo, la cena thai davvero ottima!

It was a heatwave. The room was infernally hot. The windows didn't open properly. No aircon or cooling devices. Staff disinterested. Management similarly disinterested.

Great location, well placed for the Rugby stadium at Twickenham, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast was really good, it’s also a proper pub with proper beer! I managed to park a short walk away as parking restrictions are lifted for the weekend after noon from Fridays. Really good price.

Had a slight issue with the shower, but offered a suitable alternative, so no dramas. Again staff very helpful and attentive

The Swann Inn was set near a lovely green space location really excellent for getting here there and anywhere the pub itself was very nice the staff were excellent efficient and friendly as was the young lady that attended to the rooms.we made friends with some lovely regulars they made us feel so welcome which was really nice.

The property was lovely our only disappointment was the bed the mattress was maybe old you could feel almost each and every spring in the mattress so maybe it’s time to replace it luckily it was very warm when we stayed so we slept on top of the mattress if we hadn’t it would have been very uncomfortable nights sleep.

Room was super big and clean. Lots of little complimentaries which was a nice suprise! Breakfast also included. Super pleasant stay, no issues at all and would stay again!

Overall the room was a decent size. the beds were comfortable. it was good value for money and quiet during the night. The breakfast in the morning was a bonus and really well cooked and had plenty of instant coffee and croissants and yogurts etc as well as full English.

My expectations were pretty much satisfied that it was of a reasonable cost per night though a little pricey for the type of room you get.

It was disco night downstairs so very noisy until about 1am. Also unfortunately it was a heatwave so the room was very stuffy.

Arrived early and our room was made up so we were able to check in early. Fantastic shower. Great selection of fruit, nuts and seeds and cereal for the continental breakfast. Cooked breakfast also delicious, and service was excellent. Would definitely return.

Excellent location for transit to Heathrow. On site food was affordable and remarkable! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Finding a nights accommodation that includes a beautiful hot/cold breakfast at this fee in London is absolutely remarkable. My companions and I loved it ❤️

Only one minor issue. Mattresses on the beds were metal springed and quite worn, noisy and uncomfortable. But for budget accommodations, they are absolutely acceptable!

Great friendly London pub, close to Twickenham stadium, we stayed here the night after England V Wales, arrived before check in time, but rooms we ready and we were allowed to drop our bags, rooms a nice, very clean and tidy, private bathroom was across the hall, staff were amazing, great Thai food and a continental breakfast is included in the price,, was also a great price for London.

If you want bags of good old fashioned London pub character and a warm welcome to the breakfast table in the bar, the Swan Inn is for you ! It is not a Premier Inn, and all the better for it ! (No disrespect to Premier Inn !) Suited my purpose exactly when visiting West Middx hospital every weekday for three weeks with a family member seriously ill.

The breakfast we had each morning was great. Although were didnt know at first it was a full breakfast it was a nice suprise. The room size was decent as well. The Thai restaurant onsite was always done well.

We only had room service one day out of 6. This was disappointing as we had to ask when we needed things like our bins changed or bathroom products

La qualité du matelas pourrait être améliorée, ça reste convenable. Le bac à douche n’était pas propre, mériterait un bon coup de récurage .

They had a special licence on the Friday night and there was a Christmas NHS party - even in the bedroom it was bouncing . And it didn’t stop until 00:30! We should have just gone down and partied with them. The shower was a bit pants - but none of us washed our hair. It was such a good price I feel I can’t complain about the breakfast but it wasn’t the best. Hardly any choice of cereals (like the pics show) chipped jugs, powdered coffee, over cooked eggs. My friends loved the hash browns. We ate quite late on the Saturday night as they have a Thai kitchen in the pub. The food was tasty but hardly any chicken in my dish - I saw some cracking dishes coming out.

Lovely location, super clean, comfy and cosy. Planes are loud going over head and so was our upstairs neighbours but still slept well. Breakfast was fab, so many options. Pub has a lovely Thai restaurant within it! Free parking all around

I booked this place on a whim while in town for work, and it turned out to be a great choice. The pub has a warm, cosy atmosphere and was spotless even though I arrived around midnight while they were still busy. The staff were fantastic, friendly, welcoming, and clearly set the tone for the locals, who were all up for a chat and a laugh. I originally planned to check in and head straight to bed, but ended up staying up for a few hours just to relax and soak in the vibe. The twin room I booked was a good size. The beds were a little squeaky, but still comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep.

The Thai food was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

The mattress on our bed was very uncomfortable and the thin walls meant we were disturbed by next door.

Really good atmosphere in the pub, proper sports on big screens too. Thai food served in this venue which was very good. Will be staying again when we go to our next sports event at Twickenham, was a pleasurable stay with good staff.

Myself and my friends beds in rooms needed tightening and perhaps something under each leg of the beds 🛌 to help make laying in the beds more comfortable, sleep was very poor due to this issue. Could be easily resolved . Shower 🚿 needs looking at as I had a tepid one early the next morning 🌄. We will still be back again as the pub and thai restaurant within the premises are very good.

Zona tranquilla, fermata del bus vicinissima. Tipico pub inglese, in cui ci sono serate "a tema": una sera c'era il gioco a quiz! Il "conduttore" del quiz era davvero forte! La camera era pulita, come da foto.

Il letto matrimoniale non era molto comodo, il materasso era inclinato. Abbiamo quindi dormito nei letti singoli, fortunatamente c'erano 4 posti letto e noi eravamo in 2.

Old, cheaply furnished room. Door didn’t close properly or easily. Central heating off so I had to locate thermostat in the corridor myself in order to turn it on. TV didn’t work because aerial disconnected, broken and lying on floor. Shared bathroom was in very poor condition. Toilet seat partly broken, no plug in sink, no hooks to hang clothes, light pull cord appallingly filthy, door handle disgusting and sticky. The towels were stained and smelt frowsy. Woken up numerous times in the night by slamming doors and loud voices. I know room was cheap but Premier Inn is cheaper and I’ve never had a bad experience there.

Friendly and helpful staff, pub offers a wide selection of dishes, quiet surroundings, clean room. Parking was a bit tricky, but there are some areas with free on-street parking.

Some of the beds were not comfortable but rather saggy. But apart from that everything was fine.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff very welcoming. Food delicious.
