Gomez Place was the perfect first night! A gorgeous oasis to welcome us on our first night to Sri Lanka, and a beautifully prepared fresh breakfast on our first morning. Kind and friendly staff, and they even arranged a driver for us to take us to our next destination which was much appreciated.

From the minute you walk in, you are greeted with a calm relaxing garden with very helpful and friendly staff.. the room I had was huge, spotless and had all the amenities.. the breakfast was delicious and a huge serving. It’s in a great location, close to everything .. Mr Gomez was always bright and cheery .. my tour didn’t start until 3pm on the day I checked out and he let me stay in my room until then.. highly recommend staying here for accomodation in Negombo 😊 thank you for having me !

La localisation est propre de restaurants et de la plage et à 30 minutes de l’aéroport. Le personnel est très accueillant, ils nous on même permis de garder la chambre jusqu’à notre vol du soir sans supplément. La piscine et la chambre était propres et agréables

Jardín precioso, ambiente y decoración que invitan a relajarse y a estar cómodo. La habitación enorme, muy cómoda y espaciosa. El dueño muy atento y simpático. Buen desayuno en el jardín. Ubicación estupenda, cerca de la playa y zona de restaurantes.

Vimos las sábanas y almohadas con manchas. Es algo que, después de estar en 8 alojamientos en el país, ya hemos visto varias veces. Imagino que será por el tipo de detergente/lavadora que suelen usar, pero el resto muy muy bien.

Spacious room, beautiful garden with pool. Fantastic breakfast

A lovely quirky place, looks like you've stepped into an Oasis, with all the plants and fish. Huge room and bathroom. Lovely hot water. Air con worked (always a bonus). Breakfast was perfect for our needs, fresh fruit, yoghurt, omelettes, toast and coffee. Host was great, giving lots of recommendations for restaurants. Rest of the staff were fab too, very helpful and always had a smile on their face.

Tolle und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Haben mir sogar vor der Frühstückszeit Frühstück gemacht und sehr zuvorkommend alle Servicewünsche erfüllt.

In meinem Zimmer war etwas unangenehmer Geruch durch die Feuchtigkeit. Es war nicht super schlimm, aber hat die Aufenthaltsqualität etwas gedämpft.

Das Personal war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit 🥰

un joli hôtel caché derrière un portail dans une petite rue, un magnifique jardin tropical avec une belle piscine bien entretenue. Les chambres et les salles de bain sont très grandes, l'accueil est très sympa, le petit déjeuner est très bon... la douche a beaucoup de pression et elle est très chaude.

beaucoup de moustiques car de nombreux points d'eau dans le jardin, mais il y a des prises antimoustiques dans les chambres.

Decent location. The property is very green and quite large. The room was big but rather simple. The pool was small but nice. Plenty of chill areas.

The breakfast was just too little and too simple.

A lovely way to finish my 3 week solo trip of Sri Lanka. Gomez and his team offer a very welcoming and relaxing space just a few minutes walk from the beach and town amenities. The bedroom was spacious with fan and A/C, a good sized bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was great and served in the back garden terrace.

L’Emplacement est idéal, à deux pas de la rue principale animée. La piscine est propre (c’est pas toujours le cas au Sri Lanka). La cour intérieure est bien entretenue et jolie. Le personnel est réactif et présent.

Nous avons loué 2 chambres, une classique et une deluxe, la différence de confort entre les 2 est sidérante ! L’une est immense avec une salle de bain semi extérieure tout aussi immense, dans un style travaillé. La seconde est un placard sans fenêtre. Le point commun des 2 chambres c’est la vétusté.

Gomez Place ist eine kleine Oase in Negombo. Eine schöne Anlage mit vielen Pflanzen und Bäumen was sich angenehm auf das Mikroklima auswirkt. Die Zimmer sind gross und sauber. Frühstück und Pool kann man geniessen

I had the most wonderful stay at OMA — such a beautiful hotel with incredibly welcoming and friendly hosts! The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, with the only sounds coming from wildlife. Every detail of the hotel is thoughtfully designed and absolutely stunning. The views are lovely, with peacocks and natural surroundings all around. The pool area is perfect for a refreshing swim and total relaxation. Since OMA is a small hotel, it never feels busy, which I really love ❤️. Chilli and Asa are such warm and attentive hosts, always happy to help. They kindly arranged my taxi transfer to the airport, and I enjoyed the atmosphere so much that I even extended my stay by an extra night! The beaches and restaurants are easily accessible by tuk tuk — super cheap and convenient (you can book through the PickMe app). If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet escape away from the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place. The outdoor shower was so refreshing (I absolutely loved it!), and the breakfast was delicious too. Thank you both for such a welcoming and lovely end to my travels in Sri Lanka 😊 I would definitely recommend staying here!

Mooi hotel met zeer ruime kamers, een fijn zwembad en dichtbij veel voorzieningen als het strand en restaurants.

Außen unscheinbar und versteckt. Innen eine wunderbare Oase der Erholung. Freundliche, herzliche, hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Sauberer, sehr gepflegter Pool. Große Zimmer mit tollem Bad. Ein Garten, liebevoll gehegt, zum Entspannen, Auftanken und die Seele baumeln lassen. Frühstück top. Wir haben für Tage dort umfassend genossen.

Ein Moskitonetz über den Bett wäre Top!

Largest room we had in Sri Lanka with a little kitchenette & a large bathroom. All very clean, loads of storage, comfy bed & pillows. Staff were friendly & helpful. Delicious & substantial breakfast served in their beautiful garden.

Perfecte locatie, rustig maar toch in de buurt van de gezelligheid en het strand. We ontvingen een zeer warm welkom , door de attente crew. Het was fijn dat de mogelijkheid er was om de kamer aan te houden tot aan de avond vlucht . Goed ontbijt dat geserveerd werd.

Zwembad en de ruimte er omheen was iets aan de kleine kant .

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a very warm, relaxing atmosphere. The location was quiet and peaceful, perfect for resting. Everything was well organized and felt welcoming. Mr. Gomez was extremely helpful and kind in every way. He supported us with everything we needed and made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. A big thank you to him and his team for their excellent hospitality.

Big, nice and clean room. Lots of space. Beautiful bathroom!! Nice shower with good pressure (deluxe room). Fridge with two big bottles of water for free. The bed was really comfortable. Good sleep! Tasty breakfast. The garden is beautiful and looked after very well. The owner was there if you have questions.

I had the room downstairs, so if I would open the curtains, everyone could look inside. So I had to keep them close, in this case the room was dark. There are many mosquitoes outside the room, so it is not so comfortable to sit outside or keep the doors open for some light... :( Someone brought me into my room, but didn't explain anything around the room to me. I would recommend and wish to have a little bit better service when getting new guests inside the room (explain the main things plus breakfast times etc etc...). The accommodation is bigger than I thought. FYI, the garden is not a private garden In front of your room. People/ neighbours are passing by here.

The staff couldn’t do enough for anyone. The room was spacious and had a private balcony area. A safety deposit box is in the wardrobe. The mini bar was stocked with beer and soft drinks. Water was provided complimentary along with a kettle, tea and coffee. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit juice, fruit and a choice of eggs. The small pool looked good - we didn’t use it but we saw other guests using it. The door in the alleyway leading in to Gomez place is like the door to the secret garden. The location is fantastic. A few minutes to walk through a narrow lane to the main road with bars/restaurants and the beach on hand. We stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t fault the service Gomez and his staff gave - organising trips, giving directions and sorting out onward transfers. Very well located for exploring Negombo. Fantastic.

The staff were friendly and helpful, room.was clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and I enjoyed a dip in the pool. It is conveniently located for access to the beach.

Great location, just a 5–7 minute walk from the main street and the beach. The room was very spacious with a large, comfortable bed and had everything we needed. The staff were smiling, friendly, and very helpful. As a special touch, on January 1st the staff organized a free barbecue dinner for all hotel guests, which was a really lovely and thoughtful gesture. We enjoyed our stay there and would come back.

Fantastic oasis in an otherwise quite chaotic (in a positive way) Negombo. Close to everything you need and tuck tuck distance to Negombo city. Gomez and his staff are incredibly nice and helpful always a smile on their faces

Thanks to the great team, so personable and always on top of everything. They handle the breakfast crowd like real professionals and the omelette is of note. It's a cat place so you can sleep peacefully without dogs barking. Someone has a green thumb. The garden plants are thriving. A place to keep returning to.

Zimmer und Bad waren sehr geräumig, hatte eine kleine Terrasse mit schöner Aussicht.

Location near Negombo Beach. The landscape was incredibly beautiful and maintained. Staff was excellent. Gomez was a great host.

Gomez Place is a great place to unwind. Rooms are very spacious with outdoor seating areas to take in the views of the extensive gardens. The staff are very warm and friendly and nothing is a trouble for them. Gomez himself is the friendliest owner we have come across in our travels. The pool and pool area is more than enough to cool down and lie out in the sun. You get all of this at a very reasonable room rate. We will definitely be back some day.

sur le site, les chambres sont lumineuses ce qui n'était pas le cas de la notre. Nous avions réservé une chambre avec salon et cuisine. Ce n'est pas ce qui nous a proposé. Après réclamation nous sonnes restés dans la chambre proposée car la suite était triste et sombre. Nous étions au rez de chaussée et c'était bruyant car à notre porte, il y avait un canapé et des fauteuils où des gens s'intallaient pour discuter. Porte de l'hôtel verrouillée parfois en journée et à chaque fois la nuit donc nous avons été réveillés à chaque fois par les sonnettes et l'alarme. Très génant

De kamer was erg ruim en schoon. De mensen die er werken zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en helpen je graag. Het ontbijt was ook erg goed. Bij het zwembad kun je heerlijk afkoelen na een dag op pad te zijn geweest.

Tijdens ons verblijf werd er verbouwd. Ondanks dat de overlast redelijk werd beperkt, had het fijn geweest als we hiervan op de hoogte waren gesteld.

We booked last minute after being let down by a nearby hotel & could not have been happier staying at this lovely alternative. From Check in to Departure Gomez and his team were welcoming, full of information and kindly checked that all was to my liking.

I can't say there was anything I disliked. The hotel exceeded my expectaions

The breakfast was freshly prepared each day, the staff were very helpful & Mr Gomez went the extra mile, organising transport & giving advice. The pool, tho'smallish, was always clean with fresh towels, and the garden was original and a real treat!

I don't think the hotel could have been better. It's a pity that several of the streets in the area get flooded at certain points. They require massive works which the government cannot afford. This didn't impede access to the hotel itself, however.

There were so many mosquitos! Staff was great as was breakfast. Short walk to beach - and good restaurants.

Owner and staff are brilliant - we arrived extremely early (530am) expecting to have to wait until it opened later in the morning only to find they opened up for us and already had the room waiting - after an 8 hr overnight journey that was most welcome. Helped with information and booking the various trips we went on as well as the taxi back to the airport. 10/10
