Comfortable, clean, owners and staff care for your needs.
Just a minor detail: steps to our particular room were a bit more difficult with our two pieces of luggage.
Mysigt boende ovanför en mysig pub. Bra mat och trevlig personal.
Hårda sängar och obekväma kuddar
The staff were friendly and helpful The meals were really nice with very large portions.
Can’t think of anything
Great traditional English pub, comfortable room, nice “normal” food, friendly staff.
The bar
The bed to soft every movement had double effect
Promptly served, well presented and very satisfactory

The area, the staff and food
It's a great location and the staff are excellent.
The food is really poor.
Family friendly
Peaceful surroundings
Excellent place beautiful food beautiful scenery
Nice country pub.
Did not stay due to the room being very poor. Bedding old, stained pillows, towels worn. The bathroom looked reasonable although the shower head unclean. Access door with old net curtain across glass, unsecure, and no privacy. Very small tv with two old garden chairs to sit on.
You get what you pay for. Its a remote North Yorkshire Pub in a village that they has no other alternatives.
Very short serving times for food.
Location good food ok
The steps to the room were very steep not good for people with walking difficulties
Staff were friendly, breakfast was good, very friendly locals, great location
Nothing to dislike
Il luogo e la pace del luogo
Nice location very friendly atmosphere from staff and guests.
Didn't dislike anything.
A lovely local pub in a stunning location with plain and simple facilities for a comfortable stay
Friendly and relaxed and great location. Good breakfast and reasonably priced food
Comfortable and could bring our dog
Views were lovely and staff were nice food was nice
No beer garden room was very basic and dated and in the middle of a heat wave we asked for a fan and were told to open a window which wasn't very helpful

Location
The fact that last orders for dinner was at 18:45. That would not have mattered if there had been an alternative close by but there wasn’t.
Lovely quiet location. Staff very efficient and helpful. Bed comfortable. Bathroom clean and shower powerful. Evening meals were just what we wanted and the breakfast spot on. The parking, though not ideal, was just along the street.
Nothing. there was nothing to dislike.
Gorgeous village , great pub with a good selection of non alcoholic drinks, friendly staff, good well priced food rooms were clean and well set out
Tv in room a bit small
Pub was really nice and rooms were cosy and comfy.
A bit dated in the rooms but very clean and a nice mattress.
The pub was a lovely country place.Very comfortable and a nice clean room. Both the breakfast and evening meal were very enjoyable and the staff all very pleasant. The village setting is very nice and quiet.
I can't say that there was anything we didn't like.We have stayed here before and it's the kind of place we feel relaxed.
Location was lovely, all staff helpful and friendly, food was delicious. Good size room and great value for money. Will definitely stay again
Nothing all good
The lady who showed me to my room was friendly and chatty. The room was adequate but i liked the bathroom, spacious and a good shower. The location is stunning, check out the nearby waterfalls!
The breakfast times being only between 9-9 30 to take orders is very late for an outdoor area when people have hills to climb. Fortunately i was able to climb 2 hills nearby before breakfast! Could do with some mats to help protect surfaces from hot drinks.
Ein schöner Dorfpup mit sehr sauberen und großen Zimmern in einem mittelalterlich anmutendem Dorf.
A lovely quiet village
A lovely traditional pub in a beautiful location with very friendly staff and customers. The evening menu was very extensive but I settled for steak and chips which was huge and cooked perfectly for me. Very nice draught cruzcampo as well, decent breakfast and quiet clean room with great shower. Thank you

The Inn has a good location in a pretty village. The room was clean, the beer was good and the restaurant staff were friendly.
We were met by a scruffy man and then a woman who showed us where our room was. We assumed they were the owners but didn't see them again. The entrance to the courtyard was cluttered and had broken concrete-a trip hazard. We couldn't lock the room door from the inside, the cold tap could not be fully turned off and the hot tap had to be fully opened, jiggled about before releasing any water. My wife got stuck in the bathroom behind a jammed door which had clearly been a problem previously because the door lock had been refitted -but badly done. We didn't fully shut the door again so were kept awake by the dripping cold tap. Our restaurant table was specified and we were squashed into a corner despite other tables being available. The evening meal was poor, my beef casserole had about 4 pieces of meat and my wife's chicken escalope had glutenous sauce and wafer thin chicken. There were no breakfast menus so we accepted what we were offered but then found other items were available. The hardworking barman rarely smiled or spoke. Car parking close to the Inn may not be possible.
Packed my lunch the evening prior to my departure
One of the staff chucked glass and the noise was unbearable, this was 9:30 lm
Great pub. Lovely atmosphere
Friendly, hospitable, quaint - a real pub and home atmosphere
Lovely warm welcome , large choice of home cooked food - comfortable rooms - lovely friendly little pub In a tiny village
Its location and friendly pub setting
fresh cooked breakfast, offered more tea/coffee, toast.
No where to put your wash bag in the bathroom. more fresh food on the evening menu.

Breakfast was ok. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful village with parking round the green. Lovely village very much off the beaten track via challenging lanes.
The room felt damp and the shower was very small with a step up and down to it, tricky for some !! Good heater in the bathroom and an electric heater in the bedroom , both necessary as the radiator did not work.
The location is fabulous, and the food is amazing.
The tv in the room was quite small.

Beautiful location, easy access
The location was lovely, a beautiful picturesque village. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Although the rooms were clean and looked after, they were quite cold. We used the plug in radiator but obviously didn't want to leave that on while sleeping.
Was exactly what I was looking for a traditional friendly country village. Perfect done
Nice village
Outside steps up to the room needed to be illuminated at night, there was a light but you had to go up the steps to switch it on, bedroom radiator didn't work in room 2. Shower was good. Dining was a little regimented, breakfast 9.00-9.30. Restaurant was 18.00-18.45 for orders, food was nice quality produce, although breakfast was limited (cereals and orange juice only. English breakfast, two rashers of bacon, one sausage, one egg and four grilled mini tomatoes that didn't produce much juice. Toast jam and mamalade was provided along with tea or coffee).
Tv too small and poor reception. Room cold on initial visit...electric fan heater put on and ok later
The Fox and Hounds Inn is situated on West Burton, very picturesque village in Yorkshire Dales. The accommodation was in a walking distance from pub with dining area. Food was reasonably priced (£14.99 for fish and chips). Staff were nice and friendly.
The room was smelling of damp and overnight the heating was switched off. Bathroom and bedroom deco was quite outdated. No decaf coffee or tea, no sweeteners . The dining area could also do with more modern look.
Very friendly people
ok
walking up an outside steps to the bedroom
Good location for local walks, very little traffic. Otherwise good for getting anywhere in the Dales.
We were disturbed by the people in the room below us; they felt the need to jabber up until midnight so sound proofing could have been better. Not so much the fault of the pub just the inconsiderate people staying there.Could do with serving some proper coffee.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and cost of an evening meal in the pub.
Lack of scenic view from our room, but it did not spoil our break in any way,
The Fox and Hounds had everything we needed, complimentary toiletries, comfy bed, lovely towels, great food and beautiful village setting with a waterfall, also friendly locals.
Only drawback was the chairs in the bedroom.
The staff were very friendly and helpful during our visit. We had a lovely meal in the pub which has a cosy and friendly feel. The location was beautiful.

Breakfast excellent but far out for our needs but OK.
The heating wss off when we arrived and the rooms were freezing bearing in mind it is November. The heating was put on afrer we complained. But the rooms should have been heated for our arrival.
Staff friendly, lovely location. Wish I had more time to explore. . Great food. Best for keeping motorbikes safe at the back
Other guests were pretty noisy
Great location, very comfy bed, and excellent breakfast
Nothing
Friendly, good food and lovely village
Not a lot unless you expect luxury and a spa
Location Evening meal available Friendly staff
Breakfast was not a full english , just 3 items minus half a tomato , no hash browns , baked beans , mushrooms , black pudding..
Good selection of drinks at the bar. Evening meal, good choice. Breakfast was OK
Welcoming and friendly local, just right for my needs. I walked to and from this village. My host made me a packed breakfast which I was very grateful.
It took me a moment, to work out how the low voltage bedside lights worked. This is very minor.
Food was great. Check in was a surprise and cost extra because of a glitch with Expedias booking. Not impressed but impressed that Pat did what she could to correct it.
Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and efficient service.
Stunning location rooms are lovely and clean staff are lovely 👍
Nice old building and the village was beautiful with nice walks!
The breakfast was very good and the person who served it very pleasant and kind
The food on the specials board did not appear to be home made which was disappointing. The Pizza was fine.

The location and the food, particularly the breakfast and the restaurant staff, particularly at breakfast. It was clean and serviced daily with tea coffee and biscuits replaced every time.
The room was OK, but it was very difficult to access up a steep winding set of steps. The dividing wall between my room 2 and the adjoining room 1 must be wafer thin as I sat every night listening to the occupants TV. The portable heater had a broken supporting leg, and the shower didn't work at all. Parking was a lottery, and whilst I was lucky, most of the time, I and other residents were often parked some distance away, and this was not what I expected from the details supplied.
Location great
Bedrooms needed some modernisation
I don't know where to start I wish we were staying longer. From arriving, being settling in, the meals, the service, the locals, the surrounding area, was just all perfect. We will definitely be returning in the future when we in the area again, very gutted it is so far from our home otherwise it went would be visiting more often.
A traditional English pub set in the village green in this beautiful village. Walkable to Aysgarth Falls. Great value pub food and nice staff. Overall a lovely stop off for us on the way up to the Scottish Highlands.
Good location, clean room & swift check in. Staff friendly.
Pub & rooms very dated - could be charming, but needs some love putting back into it. General upkeep & maintenance of the facilities needs attention. Detail below: Room smelled damp & had cheap dehumidifiers on windowsill. Poor breakfast options - nothing for vegetarians except eggs / beans. Could have Quorn sausages in freezer? Pillows very hard & too high, unable to get a comfortable height. Shower pressure & temperature fluctuates frequently - doesn’t work properly. No hooks inside room - bathroom one had been ripped off Tap in sink’s pressure too forceful meaning water floods onto floor Curtains thin & light in colour - lets light through, so room very bright.
Very clean throughout. Small shower cubicle but water lovely and hot. Free wifi and breakfast, with a tasty selection of foods. We also enjoyed a reasonably priced evening meal and a drink in the friendly bar. Beautiful village and area in general. Great communication, friendly service and excellent value for money, with special deals advertised for Christmas and Bonfire Night bundles. Will definitely return for a longer stay.
Very clean spacious bedroom, good breakfast, war. Welcome
