Sympatyczni, kontaktowi i pomocni gospodarze.

The area is very quiet, and the room was spotlessly clean and tidy. I loved the beautiful sea view from the property. Also, the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making my stay very pleasant.

The owners were responsive on WhatsApp; they were fine. It wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t ever return. There is a well-stocked shop nearby. We had a car; from the main road you have to climb a long, steep uphill to reach the house.

The location is far from any beach, partly due to the terrible traffic in Mahé. The house is aged; everything is old and there is a musty, unventilated smell. Unfortunately, the kitchen is not ventilated and any cooking odors dissipate very slowly. In addition, the gas stove quickly heats up the entire house. No one came to clean for four days. I washed the bathroom towels myself and took out the trash.

Everything, one of the best or maybe the best accommodation we have been through booking. Perfect hosts, excellent view, great location

The host/owner was super amazing and helpful even let me stay for some extra hours because my flight was delayed and borrowed me a beach towel for my excursion

the street parking is by luck if you find space so be prepared but also there are no ehailing services in the Seychelles so you have to rent a car. And even though stated on the page i still wish there was wifi and tv inside the apartment it got boring in the afternoon

Il sentirsi in famiglia

Very friendly host , great view of the sea nice decorations, relaxing sleep , quietness and quite spacious.

May need mosquito repellent due to trees surroundings the wifi also kept glitching on and off

Ten apartament to komfortowa baza wypadowa, aby odkrywać wyspę Mahe. Znajdziecie tu wszystko, czego potrzeba do swobodnego wypoczynku, w naszym przypadku były to: dwie sypialnie (z łóżkiem podwójnym i dwoma pojedynczymi), wpełni wyposażony aneks kuchenny oraz łazienkę. Klimatyzacja i przestronny taras z widokiem umiliły nam pobyt.

We spent a great month at Chez Lorna. Apartment is very clean, the view from the terrace - gorgeous. The hosts are super nice and helpful. There is also good connection with other parts of the island by bus.

Mobile internet (can be bought at the airport) is a recommended option, as free wifi mainly works on the terrace.

Property was fantastic with huge patio and views of the ocean, islands and windmills. Main bedroom has A/C and living room/kitchen has big fan. Steep hill to walk from main road but very happy at the main road junction was a good-size supermarket. With public bus service ending every day at 7 pm, it's good to have a supermarket there to buy groceries to cook dinner in the apartment. Owners Theodore and Lorna were extremely nice and charming.

We enjoyed and got very warm welcoming they are really lovely couple always greetings and care if you enjoying

Great stay, Theo and Lorna make you feel like home! Great view from a private terasse, where you can spend nice evenings (a large nice table with sofas and sunbeds available). The apartment is well equipped, and the bus stop is a few minutes away. Highly recommended!

It's good to have a car, but not absolutely necessary (bus down the street)

Our stay was perfect. Theo and Lorna are the best and we received all the information we needed. A friend from the area, Lindy, cooked us dinner every evening and the food is great at reasonable prices.

Very nice and well equipped apartment, two rooms, 2 single and 1 double bed, bathroom, kitchen annex, all necessary kitchen utilities, air conditioning. Big terrace with nice view. Comparing to other similar places in Seychelles, very reasonably priced. Owner very helpful and communicates daily via Whatsapp whenever necessary. House is behind the fence and locked door, quite safe. Good for staying if you have a car (we rented one, so no problem for us) - apartment is 350m uphill from main coastal road and 3.5km from Victoria center. Without the car one could feel somewhat isolated.

WiFi is poor, not working in bigger room, barely working in smaller room, bit better but still slow on the terrace (so no A/C and mosquitos around while browsing net there...).

We felt home at all times ☺️ The property has everything, air conditioning, kitchen, very clean. The views they were amazing 🥰

We had a superb stay at Chez Lorna. From the moment we booked, the hosts were in contact via Whatsapp to offer information and advice for our trip and they were always responsive and available to answer our questions. Although they were away during our stay, other members of the family were available at the adjoining property to welcome us and offer tips for our stay. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable with a good kitchen and lovely outdoor terrace area with great views of the bay below. Although there isn't a dedicated parking spot, there is plenty of space to park in the street outside and we never had trouble finding a space. The area is residential and we really enjoyed being in a local neighbourhood, especially since we visited over Christmas and could see and hear neighbours as they prepared to celebrate. At the end of the street is a well stocked mini market, but there isn't really anything to walk to in the area in terms of tourist attractions. This suited us well as a family with small kids since we had a hire car anyway - I would say a car is essential if staying here since buses are not very frequent. Overall we were very happy to stay at Chez Lorna and would definitely book again.

The apartment is about 16 m2. There is one window which looks to a high wall, therefor the apartman is very dark, except if you switch on the light. The walls are mouldy, which smell if you do not air the room regularly. The entrance door and wall paintings are worn out, the roof gives noises from above, the shower is all right, the aircon is good. There are hundreds of small insects, even lizards which you can recognize after some days everywhere. But the worst were some cockroaches which were running up the wall. There is a separated kitchen for the apartments which is quite big but the equipment there are warn out, for example, I would not fry anything in that oven. The terrace is great, there is beautiful view from there. The owners are kind and the family next door which cook for all guests are wonderful. The country is great and beautiful and highly developed comparing it to African countries! The apartment is found in a hilly area, therefor you must go up one km from the main road. Taxi from the airport is expensive, a good advice to have enough rupee from the very beginning otherwise taxi drivers may cheat on you. You can buy 1, 4, 8 days bus cards which may drive you anywhere. The catamaran ferry to La Tigue island is very good but 144 EUR. There are some nice boat trips, around 120 EUR, as well.

The apartment needs a good renovation. The kitchen, too.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome . I liked everything very much. An inexpensive option, keep in mind that you need to rent a car, it will be hard without it

The apartment was really spacious and clean with a beautiful view. The owners were helpful and always available if we needed help,we would happily stay again.

Good location

Accessibility

I enjoyed my 6 night stay at Chez Lorna. As a solo traveller I stayed in the budget room. It had lots of storage room, good aircon and the attached bathroom was very nice. Everything was very clean. Location was good, close to a bus stop. The owners were not there but communication was easy and they seemed very friendly. A cousin of the owner cooks delicious dinners at very reasonable prices 😊

Communication with the owner was nice, we were suggested to have a great dinner. Also, good price-value ratio.

The kitchen was not great - not enough of amenities, trashes were not taken out daily and overall it was not nice to make food there. Room without proper window and no space to hang wet clothes.

I did the booking and after 5 min had to cancel it due to unforeseen reasons. The owners would not shift, or refund and were quite rude.

Cheap and fairly clean

I really enjoyed my stay at Theo and Lorna's place. They were super friendly, helped me to understand how the public transport works, called a taxi when I needed it. There's a woman leaving nearby who can cook you delicious cheap meals (under 100 rupees), which is super convenient. There's a terrace with a beautiful view available for each guest. It's easy to go to Victoria or Beau Vallon by bus, as the bus stop is only about 5-7 minute walk from the house.

The room was very comfortable. The owners were extremly kind. As soons as i arrived there they immediately greeted me smiling. They arranged a transfer for me and answered on all of my questions regarding publick transport, food, beaches and on whatever i was interested. The woman was taking care of me as the most valuable tourist in Seychelles. I have traveled so far only in Europe, but this place there ist magical, especially the terrace. The view from the terrace ist unbelievable and stunning. I want to thank the owners for everything they did for me. I highly recommend this place. Good price, quality and unbelievable service.

There is absolutely nothing that i didn't like. The service was more than great. Just unbelievable.

The view

Theo was a great host. He communicated with us throughout our stay, even though he was abroad on holiday. All the family members that we encountered were lovely and helpful, perfect hosts.

The parking situation could be improved, but it's not a deal-breaker. The family's hospitality made up for it.

The property is next to the town with no traffic jam, from the shared small balcony there is a beautiful view, the rooms are not expensive and the rental period is minimum one week. To get to the property there is a very hard ascend, all the rooms except one don't see the sun, the shared kitchen is not clean as it should be, the owner sends a lot of WhatsApp messages where some of them are unpleasant, their services are very limited.

Wonderful stay and a wonderful host Lorna who’d always find the time to help advise and assist. The atmosphere at this place is very friendly and towards the guests. Thanks Madam Lorna 😊

Chez Lorna is at Quincy village which is about 10mins drive from Victoria - the city capital. Here in Mahe everything is just a few distance drive from Chez Lorna making it a place to stay. At this hotel apartment, everything ranging from view to physical touch is just a breathtaking. Lorna and Theo are just exceptional beings, taking time to educate and assist their guest. It was unbelievable the amount of energy these 2 people have. Perfect people for each other. They both ensured that our visit was seamless and did encourage us to sail across the Indian Ocean. That was something I would never dream of doing on my own, thanks to The duo. As time is always very short when it comes visiting a place like this, I know I have more reasons to visit again and Chez Lorna will be my host once more.

It wasn't easy to contact the owner or the staff when checking in. There's no front desk and I had to call the mobile number which I had gotten beforehand by calling the property several times. But even it was really hard to reach.

Chez Lorna is a few minute walk away from a bus stop. It’s also near Victoria so the location is quite central. The hosts Lorna herself and Theo were very warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this property.

Lorna is great, and for the Seychelles this place is really cheap. I've stayed here before and will stay here again.

The hostess is very friendly and helpful. Not far away from the international airport so it’s handy for backpackers like me who don’t want to spend much time on commute and overcharged.

Very friendly and helpful owner. The cheapest place in the Seychelles, but everything is very nice. I've stayed here before and will stay here again.

Very handy guest house for the Victoria Ferry Port and one of the better properties within fairly easy reach of the airport.

This property is very homey. The care taker and house host, Chuka, is a gem. He makes sure anything you need is made available. He organizes exclusions, taxis, does laundry, and I have seen him feed guests whose personal eating preference can't be met elsewhere. My exoetinxe and accommodation at Chex Lorna was exceptional

This is a beautiful place with nice rooms and good accessibility to Victoria and the rest of the island. However it is more of a homestay with anything else, so the relationship with the owners becomes central. The male host needs to lay off the invasive questions about where I'm from, who I'm with, where my name came from, etc. Also there is constant scrutiny of the A/C usage and there is very little bedding provided, only sheets. I left my room at 8 pm trying to find some kind of bed covering and after 15 minutes came across the very upset male host telling me that of course I need a bed covering if my room is kept at "ice box" temperatures. I had the A/C set to the exact same temperature as it was when I checked in, 25 celsius. It is unreasonable to deny people bedding in the hopes that they will let the room cook to 30 degrees so that they save a few cents on the power bill. Also problematic was the departure. I asked the night before for a taxi departing for the airport at 1 pm. Owners said they understood clearly. 1:25 pm rolls around and a family friend shows up in a Jeep instead of a proper taxi. I did not care about the 100 rupees saved since he drove like a maniac and I could have missed my flight. He was driving out of the lane for half the trip, and it wasn't to avoid pedestrians. It was very dangerous. Apparently you have to dial a taxi yourself as the owners won't.

Parfaitement parfait!

Location is convenient for the ferry. The people handling the facility are very helpful.

Comfortable room. Owner was very friendly and helpful! I felt very welcome there

Very friendly and helpful owner. Great value for money, especially as the Seychelles are not cheap. Will stay again.

Helpful friendly owners who provided local information ( best still if map and printed materials included). A steeped climb to lodging could be a challenge for some .

All you need to know, was all three in our party needed to take an ambien in order to ensure sleeping in the oven baked room crawling w ants and other creatures.

Chez Lorna is a wonderful place to stay. The place offers comfort, and the people in charge showed true hospitality. They just need to do some pest control to try to prevent wall geckos from getting inside. Thanks for a comfortable and an enjoyable stay.

Homestay feel. Quiet n peaceful.. Friendly staff..

Overnight stay before leaving for La Digue. No assistance was offered to carry our bags up the many many stairs. Room was average - open plan bathroom (no privacy), and ceiling boards in need of renovation. We were informed breakfast was not available to us as we were leaving at 7am, yet there was breakfast prepared for other guests. Maybe long term guests get a better deal? We are glad that on our return to Mahe when we are staying for another 5 nights, we are not staying here.

Great hospitality:) The owner is very nice and gave us a warm welcom to the island. Breakfast was very good. Good value for money. In our room the toilet were connected to the room ( no door).

Simple but really pleasant accomodation. All the staff were very helpful and had great advice to give :)

The hotel is very cozy, and nice. Easy to check in early in the morning.

Christine

First off, just want to say a big thank you to Chula, David, and Vivian for a great experience at Chez Lorna! They are great hosts and have an awesome place. It's very comfortable and the balcony view overlooks 4 islands, which is awesome. Rooms are great too, and the staff is very friendly. Chula is there to meet you at the front door and get you set up in no time, and he's always very helpful if you have any questions. And David, thanks again for the ride brother, appreciate you! Also, the location is great because it's close to the ferry jetty and is only a 5 minute bus ride (or 20 minute walk) from Victoria. Chez Lorna is definitely the place to stay if you're Mahe!

I had an enjoyable, lovely and fuss free 2 nights stay at this guesthouse. The owner and staff were helpful. Getting around was easy enough with the buses.

Friendly hosts. Nice views but quite steep to get too if you have heavy luggage bit hard. Not very clear about breakfast but had my own. Staff very helpful if you need instructions or extra dishes for room

We checked in but never got room cleaned.no click radio tv internet washing machine like it said online. Big roaches, come out at night.no sir but in bedroom.shower would not shut off.not close to anything. Owners were nice but never told us about the breakfast or anything about the island.

Bus line was convenient to Victoria town. So were taxi rides to and fro. Lovely place.

Amazing place to stay with the friendliest staff. Amazing dinners as well. Will definitely be back

A useful B&B a couple of kms to the north of Victoria. Room clean and comfortable with great views over the bay. Many steep stairs up which we had to carry our bags.

Instead of a proper room, i got her son's room, with all his stuff in it. Enough said.

Lorna and her team instantly made me feel like one of the family. This simple hide away was just what I needed. The room and facilities were very comfortable and clean. The quietness of the location had a special attraction to me. If you are looking for a very pleasant and calm experience then meet Lorna and experience what I am expressing. Lorna will make you a great breakfast each morning and provide suggestions to wherever and whatever you might want to experience. Lorna and her lovely daughter have given me three days of wonderful memories! Thank you Ladies!!

Had a memorable one night stay at Chez Lorna. Lorna is very kind and welcoming. Her daughters are lovely too, arranging car hire for us very quickly for which we are very grateful. They are the perfect hosts. The room spotless and comfortable, the bathroom was amazingly decorated too. The views from the balcony are beautiful and sunrise was spectacular to watch. Thank you Lorna and daughters for making our short stay so special.

Very nice place to stay. Lorna was very welcoming and offered me to cook my stuff in her kitchen. Even though the wifi is free, it is extremely slow.
