Cal Reiet Holistic Retreat

This is my 7th time I have been to this wonderful sanctuary. I love everything about Cal Reiet; a peaceful oasis where you can simply ‘be’. To wake up to early morning yoga/mindful movement and then feast on the wonderful vegan/vegetarian buffet breakfast is an amazing way to start the day. The grounds are beautiful, the pool divine and the rooms tranquil, clean and tastefully decorated. The staff are always attentive, welcoming and helpful . Nothing is rushed. This is my treat to myself every year and it never disappoints.

Beautiful surroundings

The location, staff, facilities and yoga classes/activities were top rate. Every moment felt special and we were very well looked after. A short walk into Santanyi to visit the brilliant market was a good chance to see the local area.

The evening menu was OK, but it would have been good to have a little more variety. We were happy to experiment with vegetarian food but needed a few more options.

Charming stay! The hotel is luxurious yet has a very laid back and relaxing vibe. The staff are very friendly,. Breakfast, although vegetarian, is superb, and can be enjoyed after the yoga class (highly recommended). The casita is absolutely wonderful!!

A wonderful stay, greeted by an infectious smile from Issis from the minute we stepped in. Location was great, close to beaches, located in a quaint town. From the tastefully decorated rooms, the kind staff and warm welcome by the manager Raphael, the calmness of the yoga classes, the beautiful pool area and the outstanding cuisine, both breakfast and dinner prepared by Alex, our experience was exceptional. Would love to return.

I was so excited to go and had to talk my husband into this property, because I am very spiritual and holistic, as opposed to Can Ferretta. I should have listened to him. The property is cute, but it stops there. The moment we walked in we got this awkward stare like why are you here. We had to ask if we were in the right place. We waited a good 10 minutes before we were helped. It wasn’t a warm welcome. What bothered me most was I later learned the owners were sitting at table across from us while we waited and never acknowledged our existence. It was very hard to get any help at the pool or breakfast. What was also nuts is I had to pay 9 euro to add mint and lemon to my water… something I got for free everywhere else including La Residencia and Son Bunyola. We then booked a day of treatments - massage and sound healing. Both my husband and I agreed they were the worst massages ever- if you can even call it that. The sound healing (outrageously priced at 250 euro) also wasn’t good and didn’t take up the entire time we had paid for (cut 20 minutes short). I could have had our 3 year old play with pots and pans. There was no meditation component to it at all. The shower and sink water are salt and well water so it was weird washing off the salt water from the beach with more salt water. The only person who was friendly was the woman who booked our treatments. For $1000 a night, I’d expect at least shades or black out curtains. No mini-fridge or TV is in the room either. That didn’t bother me but was frustrating for my husband who had medications that needed to be kept in a fridge. Nothing about this property really was holistic. It felt like a scam and the biggest disappointment of hotel we’ve had in over a decade. Go if you just want to quiet sanctuary but nothing more.

What a beautiful place. Everything is so perfect: the room, the garden, the design, the food, the staff. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay! We hope to return one day! Only thing that maybe could change: we both found the bed and the pillow quite hard, but that is all I can think of.

Sobald man ankommt, kommt man zur Ruhe und kann entspannen. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden und das ganze Anwesen ist einfach wunderschön.

Massagen sind sehr teuer und Raucher dürfen nur an einem bestimmten Punkt draussen rauchen sogar Iqos war nicht erlaubt.

Die Auswahl an nur Vegetarisch und Vegan war uns zu wenig , Abendkarte war sehr limitiert nur jeweils 3 Gerichte ( Vorspeise , Hauptspeise und Dessert ) ich haette erwartet das keine kleinen Kinder in einem holistischen Spa Hotel resort willkommen sind, da es mit Ihnen keine wirklich ruhige undnentspannte Atmosphäre möglich ist , liegt in der Natur der Sache kein Roomservice

The setting of this hotel is just perfect, only a five minute stroll from beautiful Sanatnyi and set down long private driveway. The grounds and gardens and swimming pool area are just beautiful and really peaceful with lovely flowers. All the staff are really friendly knowledgeable attentive and nothing was too much bother. The breakfast buffet was absolutely perfect with fresh cooked and different foods every morning. We really enjoyed our time here and the room which was only a standard was absolutely perfect size with a fabulous shower. The only slight thing I would say is if you’re travelling as a couple you may want to find out if there is a large group booking at the same time. There was a large booking of at least 20 people clearly on a health retreat at the time we were there. This meant that the group en mass would commandeer the pool area for exercise sessions (with music) and swimming and would take breakfast all at the same time and being a large group the noise from them and the exercise music was a little intrusive. However, despite that we had an amazing time and would strongly recommend this place.

Everything was beyond our expectations- yoga every morning, afterwards delicious breakfast, a beautiful garden and a cute little spa with sauna. Everyone is so nice and the service was also perfect. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again.

This is my favourite place in the world - it has everything you could possibly dream up and whether you come here as part of a group, as a couple, with a friend or solo - it is always the most perfect, peaceful and memorable stay! The rooms are gorgeous, the bathrooms beautiful, the facilities are amazing and the pool area and restaurant are stunning. The food is the best; beautifully prepared dishes which taste incredible and the breakfasts are simply the best I have every had; every morning a wide selection of freshly cooked and beautifully presented dishes to choose from! Waking up to the sun rising, yoga outside followed by breakfast ...for me it doesn't get better! This place is a dream come true.

The grounds were absolutely beautiful, we even got to see horses, chickens and a turtle named Rita on the property. The yoga was an added bonus and the breakfast was spectacular. Irene on the reception desk was so lovely from our check in and all the way to our check out. The whole stay was seamless and the room was amazing and the property was only a 5 minute walk to the town.

The breakfast was delicious and had a great range of healthy vegetarian options. The building is stunning and the grounds are well kept and in great condition. The staff were very brilliant too. The hotel is an easy walk into Santanyi for more dinner options. Great stay!

We were looking for a place to celebrate not only my wife's birthday but also the first time away without kids for 24 years! A special occasion to celebrate indeed :) I started the search early in 2024 and had no plan to even come to Mallorca specifically, spreading a search from Italy to Greece to Spain. Cal Reiet happened to pop up in an article I was reading and looked like a lovely place in an area of the island we'd never visited before so we planned our trip around it. Your first impression of Cal Reiet is turning down a small gravel camino from sleepy Santanyi until you reach a truly stunning and beautifully restored 19th century manor house complete with a carefully tended walled gardens full of the vibrant purple, pink and red colours and sweet smells of Bougainvillea and Roses infusing the senses with the history and decades of effort it must have taken to create. The attention to detail is instantly recognised by the original house design as you can see right through to the gardens and 20m swimming pool from the front door, giving a wonderful sense of space and aesthetic. What makes Cal Reiet so good is not just the building though. As soon as you enter you are greeted by staff on the front desk who are to a person enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable. This is obviously a carefully selected and highly trained team, you can tell their level of dedication and professionalism just from watching their daily briefing sessions. The pool area is gorgeous with ample space even when we visited , even in the peak season month of July, we could always find a bed, lounger or chairs in sun or shade and often had the place to ourselves even. Rooms are spacious, immaculately clean and beds / pillows super comfy. Climate control is always comfortable You do feel like you are staying in a manor house rather than a hotel as you climb the elegant staircases and pass artworks and a huge antique map. We are big on food and my wife is a nutritionist so we often struggle, even at top hotels, with a standard breakfast offering but at Cal Reiet we found ourselves catered by like minded people. It is the only place we have stayed where we are able to create our perfect start to the day which is building a breakfast bowl from a base of different yoghurts (coconut my favourite) and adding chia pudding, seeds, nuts, honey, fruit and nut butters (all of which were home made, the pistachio being sublime) followed by some eggs on wonderful breads if we wanted to go to town. It is simply the best breakfast offering we have had anywhere. And the fact that you eat it in these wonderful gardens with sweet smells and flowers all around you makes it even better. Everyone we met on the front desk (Sarah, Jana, Elena) helped with restaurant reservations and beach suggestions and they really got them right. We had a wonderful birthday sunset dinner at Bar Blau in Portocolom and also a lovely lunch at Ca Sa Na - both all about fresh fish with stunning views. Our favourite beach became S'Amarador which is very close with stunning white sands and a turquoise sea, our tip - you need to get there early if you want a lounger (10am) but you can keep it all day and its €15.50 all day for two and a parasol instead of €50 up the coast. Outstanding. Exceeded expectations. Pictures don't do this place justice - it's very tranquil and very well designed. Whoever did interior design did an incredible job. Modern but rustic. All details were exceptional; from the products in the bathroom to the music playlist. Great staff too. Would definitely stay again. Also very short car drive (10 mins) from some great beaches, such as Cala Llombards and Caló des Moro. No need to visit other parts of the island for a short stay (3 days)

What an amazing property! The gardens are beautiful, the casita was charming, the food was delicious especially the wide assortment at breakfast. Enjoyed the morning yoga classes and the sound healing treatment. The staff were so kind and helpful especially Jana, Sarah and Iris. Close to all the beautiful calas. Can’t wait to return !

Absolutely wonderful retreat. Staff, room, environments, the hotel itself and the vegan food was great. I know my husband and son of 17 yrs would have liked fish or chicken as a complimentary but the vegan food was delisous. We aren't vegan ourselves but for a couple of days it's no show stopper at all. There are also many restaurants close by so no problem if you want to eat out for lunch or dinner. Staff was very helpful to give suggestions. Breakfast was also super nice with so many variations of fresh fruit, oat porridge, eggs, omeletts, bread, freshly squeezed juices etc. I tried out the yoga twice which was included in the daily price. The garden is very calming and you can truly relax. The pool area is beautiful and there is no problem with sun bed availability. I can highly recommend Cal Reiet.

The location is perfect. Not only is the hotel picturesque and offers secure free parking, it’s actually 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Santanyí for restaurants and shopping. The yoga in the morning and vegetarian breakfast was superb. The staff were all fantastic, and appreciated the welcome tour on arrival.

The bathroom in our room lacked a shower frame or glass, making it impractical. The sink vanity was within the shower area, so our belongings got splashed with water. While I understand the design aims to be accessible for wheelchair users, the layout needs improvement.

Absolute sanctuary in the heart of Santanyi. The property and grounds alone take your breath away and provide this overwhelming sense of calm. The room was oversized and cozy at the same time. The staff was magnificent and the breakfast was beyond expectation. Healthy, holistic, just right.

I am coming from a 5 star business. Rule number one: always be nice e and kind to your guest. In the yes of the owner Petra, I did something wrong. Me and my friend where screamed at at the parking lot. I am asking for the house rules, trying to figure out the problem, we where screamed at even louder and more nasty. I have been a returning guest for several years, usually twice an year. I always brought and recommended this place to friends and family, because it can be a wonderful place. But due to the fall outs of the owner Petra (not the first time) I will close this chapter . I am just speechless about this behaviour in this so called „holistic place“

We enjoyed every single day of staying here. Everything was simply outstanding: the food was delicious, especially the breakfasts, the staff was very responsive, friendly and caring. The room was spacious and clean. The location is also great and lots of amazing beaches are in close vicinity (~15-20 minutes by car). It's 10/10, we can't wait to visit this place again.

First time in a holistic hotel. The experience was fantastic. Very gentle staff and physiotherapist for massage very very professional (Tamara is very expert. Deep tissue massage fantastic. We had more also for my wife and my 11-year-old child,all satisfied!). The room with the bath in the middle was spacious and comfortable. The hotel gives you a relaxing sensation. Yoga in the morning very nice.

I attended a week long yoga and detox retreat. Everything was pretty much perfect; the property, rooms, staff, food, program content, teachers, setting, variety of retreat content, the wonderful cohort of participants. I am a seasoned retreat traveler ( almost 50 globally) and this one was one of the best. It had everything physically and spiritually. I have already signed up for this particular retreat for next year and will most likely go to another before then.

Hotel ground was amazing!

AC turned off although it was 29 degrees outside. This changed in two days as we made a complaint. Staff very accommodating, after a small nudge in the right correction.

It came as no surprise to me that the hotel was beautiful. We arrived and our luggage was taken to the room and every part of the hotel looked just like the images I’d seen on instagram and their website. It’s low key luxury. Tasteful decor, comfortable furnishings, nothing too flashy but very stylish. They hold retreats there. We weren’t on a retreat but the food is pretty much the same whether you are or you aren’t. Plant based with the addition of an egg or two if you like. The chef Valentina is a magician and her breakfasts are legendary. I left with recipes she kindly wrote down for me and I am excited to try and replicate some of the dishes she made. There were yoga classes available but I didn’t attend any because they sun was out and well, I’m lazy. I did book some treatments though and the massage therapists are good, like please can I have that therapist again because my back pain has gone and I don’t know how she did it kind of good. The hotel is on the outskirts of Santanyi so if you feel like eating less plant based there are some good restaurants nearby. But the thing about this hotel that makes it standout is the Manager, Margarita. Uber professional and will bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you want/need. What a special place. I will be back. In fact I’ve just booked it.

At first sight, everything looked amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained. The pool area very relaxing. We went on a three night retreat, and added one extra night the day before the retreat started, just to relax. However, the sleeping quality turned out to be the worst. The automatic blinds was set to automatically go up at 2 am. When I complained, noone could do anything about it. On the third night, someone took the manual and got it done. But, then we already had two nights of waking up, and not being able to go back to sleep. Also, the Airconditioner was broken, and the room was humid and hot. Too warm to sleep… I also mentioned this, but they could not fix it since the handyman was busy elsewhere. At check-out I asked for a compensation since we had lost sleep for four nights. The receptonist could not make desiscions and asked to mail the hotel manager. The hotel manager after 5 days replied that sorry, she could not compensate on our stay but could probably do a special deal if I wanted to return in the future…? I asked if she was serious, since we paid a great deal for 4nights and dinners (that were also really untasty). She replied that she was unable to refund anything but I was Welcome back again, at a special deal. Again. I have stayed in many hotels over the world, mostly four and five star, and I am a frequent traveller. I have never been met with this ignorance before. It is common sense that if something is broken or doesnt meet standards, you should not have to pay for (all of) it. A compensation would have been so easy to do.

A great find. This spa hotel is in a rather obscure location on the edge of Santanyì. It’s a handsome 19th century building surrounded by attractive gardens. We didn’t stay in the hotel but we ate there twice: a lunch and a dinner. Both were excellent - really sophisticated light vegetarian food; great flavours and textures.

We lodged in the main house with nice vistas onto the park and pool area. We enjoyed the free morning yoga classes every day of our 3 Day stay and felt nicely wholesome before the lavish organic breaky. family is extremely nice and the personal touch of the Swiss owner is felt throughout. Sadly the spa facilities have been in Mai still under construction and could have been finalized during the shutdown Definitely the place to stay in the Santanyi vicinity

What a treat. The grounds of this beautiful, boutique hotel are stunning. Thoughtfully landscaped and lovely spaces to relax. Great treatments in the studio, we tried the Tibetan Bowl Sound Bath & a yoga session. The food - divine. I am not a vegetarian, but could easily be, given the exquisite cuisine lovingly served up here. I’m currently lazing by the pool, the wind gently swaying the palm trees, soporific chants on the stereo & the sound of Santanyi church bells in the distance.

A wonderful place, healthy food, and an energy and peacefulness around it that is fantastic and hard to find. We also attended a Tibetan Bowl session and a yoga and a meditation session that were amazing. The staff took such good care of us. We will for sure come back!

This was our third trip to this beautiful place as a family and it was just as gorgeous as always. Delicious food, beautiful gardens, a large pool and stunning rooms. Our children love coming here and are always made to feel very welcome.

Cal Reiet är något av de bästa upplevelser jag haft på så många plan. Den veckra och rogivande miljön med stilfull men ändå varm inredning skapar ett inre lugn, här har man tänkt på detaljerna. Den goda och hälsosamma frukostbuffén var något man såg fram emot. Dagliga yogaklasser fanns tillgängligt och med endast 15 rum känns det som en liten familj. Jag åkte dit själv och ville ha tid för återhämtning, detta var en perfekt plats för just det. personalen var vänliga och ägarna lägger sitt hjärta i denna plats vilket märks. Cal Reiet är en plats att komma besöka till och jag ser redan fram emot mitt nästa besök!

Cal Reiet retreat was less a hotel and more has a feel of staying in an extremely luxurious country house. The atmosphere is very peaceful and chilled. The pool area and gardens are stunning and it's much bigger than the photos show. I loved it - Santanyi has great markets on Wednesday and Saturdays with cute shops and restaurants too. The breakfast was outstanding - the hotel is vegetarian only though and needs a small lunch menu to improve its offering. There is wifi in the rooms but we found it was patchy but worked well in common parts. If you a looking for a quiet, healthy getaway Cal reiet is a great option.
