Perfect for a one night stay to catch the train next morning, nearby the tram station with one stop to Frankfurt airport. There are some restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The hotel itself offers the usual standard. We did not try the breakfast as we had an early flight. Check-in is normally via a terminal but there is also a staffed reception, which gave us our keys.

No complaints

The rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. I especially appreciate the iron and ironing board, great touch a lot of hotel no longer offer. Bathroom is great, and clean.

Breakfast offer could be better especially at the cost. It was in some parts cold and dry, cancelled the breakfast and got a refund. I ate outside the hotel as it was less expensive and hot. Freshly made food is better.

Aufgrund der Baumaßnahmen am Flughafen und der Schließung des Terminal 2 der vom Hotel nicht mehr angebotene Transfer zum Flughafen, um von dort aus mit der Hochbahn z.B. den Terminal 3 zu erreichen. Damit ist die Lage des Hotel nicht mehr so ideal und das sollte sich dann auch im Preis niederschlagen.

Hotel nähe Flughafen und gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen

Nur noch unpersönlicher Selbst-Checkin an einem Pad, wenn das in der Preisklasse die Zukunft ist, dann Gute Nacht.

An der Rezeption kann es etwas länger dauern… Man kann zwar selbst einchecken aber wenn man das nicht gewohnt ist und Probleme hat, lässt das Personal auf sich warten. Auch das Parken für Hotelgäste ist mit 36 Euro pro Nacht sehr übertrieben. Seit ich meine Mailadresse beim Check in angegeben habe, bekomme ich von IHG des öfteren Spam mails die sich nicht abstellen lassen!

Dit hotel is allesbehalve gastvrij en klantvriendelijk. Er wordt totaal niet met je meegedacht en de communicatie is verre van transparant. Vooral de onverwachte extra kosten zijn erg vervelend. Het hotel geeft aan over parkeerplaatsen te beschikken, maar achteraf blijkt dat je hiervoor maar liefst €34 per dag moet betalen. Dit wordt vooraf absoluut niet duidelijk genoeg gecommuniceerd. Voor ons een zeer teleurstellende ervaring. We voelden ons niet welkom en zouden dit hotel dan ook niet aanraden.

The bed and pillows were slightly hard for me.

Rooms were clean and spacious. The black out curtains were a bonus. The breakfast was good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to offer a quality service.

One particular staff member, however, at the front desk was incredibly rude and was actually quite unhelpful when we couldn't get the lift to go to our floor. We eventually took the fire escape stairs to get to our room.

The room and bathroom are a good size and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Close to the S Bahn which in one stop takes you to Terminal 1 and only a few stops to Frankfurt center.

Teppich im Zimmer war schon sehr abgenützt und man konnte die Klimaanlage nicht abschalten.

Die Lage so nah am Flughafen war für uns sehr wichtig. Es gibt auch ein, zwei Restaurants in der Nähe.

Sehr großes Zimmer, bequeme Betten, hervorragendes Bad und sehr leckeres Frühstück. Ausgesprochen ruhig. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen.

The hotel and our room is clean, we love to sit in the lounge when we got back from the city center. They have a good breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff from the reception, dining and bar. The hotel is accessible to metro station. 11 minutes from terminal 3 by taxi.

Lage zum Flughafen als Ausgangspunkt für unsere Reise, online check-out

Grundsätzlich bis auf ein paar kleine Hickups bin ich sehr happy. Es ist super schnell und einfach vom Flughafen und HBF Frankfurt zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Zimmer sind immer sauber.

Als Businessreisender, ist es mühsam den richtigen Rechnungsbeleg, vor allem digital zu erhalten. Es wäre super, wenn man es intuitiv über die App steuern könnte. Ich bin in letzter Zeit häufig dort und lediglich je nachdem, wer am Empfang ist, bekomme ich die Rechnung neben einem Ausdruck auch digital. Offensichtlich ist der Prozess nicht einheitlich bekannt oder technisch noch zu optimieren ;-) Die Tagesschicht ist immer top behilflich und druckt mir die Rechnungsbelege, die ich zur Abrechnung dringend benötige, gleich aus. - Safety first ;-) Ich habe also meinen Weg gefunden. Darf gerne niedrigschwelliger sein. Die Spätschicht ist auch sehr bemüht und freundlich, hat aber offensichtlich einen anderen Wissensstand als die Tagesschicht. Die *App* hat noch Potential: Wie erwähnt, darf es gerne intuitiv und easy sein, die Firmenadresse anzugeben. Der erfolgreiche Online CheckIn hat offensichtlich keinen Effekt vor Ort, ich musste trotzdem vor Ort einchecken. Aus diesem Grund checke ich online nicht mehr ein. Außerdem ist eine Telefonnummer in der App für das Hotel hinterlegt, an die niemand geht. Ich habe im Hotel eine Visitenkarte bekommen, der Umstand scheint bekannt zu sein. Achja, trotz der Hitze waren mir 17 Grad im Zimmer etwas kühl. ;-) Es wäre schön, wenn man die Klimaanlage selbstständig anpassen kann :-) Das klappt offensichtlich nicht in jedem Zimmer. Das sind alles Kleinigkeiten, für mich, ist es mit Abstand für meine Zwecke das beste Hotel im Bereich Gateway Gardens. :-) Danke

Breakfast was lovely and delicious.. and very well displayed. 5 star for the chief and the service.

Very disappointed about Housekeeping laundry service,was very bad, saying, the bath towels got the holes in it, and we have notice after having shower. So we informed the reception, and one of the staff came to see and we showed the poor condition of bath towels. Even he felt bad about it and he took the photos, the towels were completely ware and tear. But The staff sincerely apologised .. Other side wanted to have late night coffee in the room. So coffee packets was available but no milk packets was available to have milky coffee! must forgotten !! So while checkout we again informed the receptionist another disappointment. Overall hotel is good but the housekeeping needs more improvement. Thank you.

Rooms are clean, nice and modern.

Currently (August of 2026) the location is essentially in the middle of construction site. Surroundings will probably look nice, when the constructions are finished, but not now. And there is no shuttle bus to Terminal 1, as the Terminal 2, which is much closer to the hotel, currently is closed for renovations. So there's no chance to use the airport's own transportation system. Clients need to either take a taxi or walk for almost half an hour by foot meandering among construction sites and dirty pathways. Seeing all hustle and bustle around taxis outside terminal exit, I decided to walk. The receptionist, who met me after my trip from Terminal 1, was rather uncommunicative and unwelcoming. Being asked about a shuttle bus due to renovations in and around the airport, he briefly told me I need to either take a taxi or go to the train station nearby (a slight head turn to the side, no more explanations given). I've got a message, thanked him, collected a key and went to my room to never dare to disturb him with my silly questions.

It was close enough to the airport and it wasn’t too expensive for a night. It was very clean, the products for the shower were amazing, good food options around, a food cart and a convenience store, great because it was a Sunday.

Breakfast was really expensive for what it was.

The hotel is only one metro stop from the airport, which is very convenient. The restaurant is very good, and the breakfast is high quality. Self check-in is very convenient, but the staff is available if needed.

I previously stayed in 2024 and enjoyed the airport shuttle service which was unfortunately no longer active in 2026. The airport is still easily accessible by metro, but good to be aware for those who might prefer the shuttle.

Das Hotel liegt in perfekter Nähe zum Flughafen. Der Check-in und Check-out lief problemlos online. Das Zimmer war sauber. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Um 6.30 Uhr war der Frühstücksraum noch leer. Es gab viel Auswahl, alles war frisch. Um vorm Abflug zu übernachten, ist es das perfekte Hotel.

Das Restaurant bietet abends eine Speisenauswahl. Für durchschnittliche Küche sind die Preise sehr hoch. Z.b. Fish und Chips ist Fisch in Backteig. Leider hatte unser Fisch eine ganz labberige Panade. Wir reklamierten das. Der Kellner nahm wortlos den Teller weg und kam ewig nicht wieder. So mussten wir nachfragen, ob das Essen nochmal wiederkommt. Es kam dann eine ganz neue Portion, die dann ok war. Aber so etwas geht nicht. Der Service muss stimmen.

Check-in was smooth for me. Some others had to do self check-in. I took taxi from airport, as it was hot and messy at arrivals. Cost was 15€ (both ways fixed to this amount by all drivers…). Room was pretty small, really basic and little bit tired looking. Bed and pillows were ok. At least room was pretty quiet, but few times I could hear plane sounds. I had ok sleep. I did not eat anything at hotel. There are several restaurants nearby. Also 2 shops (smaller is open also on Sundays and Rewe not). To sum it up: this is that dime a dozen airport hotel. Ideal for mandatory 1 night stay. They have no hotel shuttle, which is really bit of a nuisance. Next time I try another nearby hotel.

Die Lage des Hotels ist phantastisch durch die Nähe zum Deutsche Bank Park und Flughafen. Drei Minuten Fußweg zur S-Bahn Bahn und DB. Ruhige Gegend mit Restaurants und Lebensmitteln. Schönes, sauberes, ruhiges Zimmer im 6. Stock mit Blick auf Terminal 2. Gute Klimaanlage. Bequemes Bett. Große Dusche und Ablage im Bad. Reichhaltiges Frühstück am ersten Morgen. Guter Kaffee. Schön präsentiert. Gutes WLAN.

Zum Check-in würde ich an den Self Terminal verwiesen, funktionierte nicht, also musste mir der Mitarbeiter leider doch helfen. Zum Check-out bekam ich am Morgen per Mail nicht die Rechnung, sondern den QR-Code vom Check-in zugeschickt, also wieder die Nutzung des Terminal nicht möglich. Teppiche im Flur bräuchten eine Reinigung. Zimmer wäre mir auch ohne Teppich lieber gewesen. Tische werden beim Frühstück nur sehr verzögert abgeräumt, deshalb finden neue Gäste schlecht einen Platz oder müssen das Geschirr selbst zur Seite schieben. Am Sonntagmorgen gab es weniger Auswahl als am Morgen zuvor, aber die Schilder standen noch am Buffet. Butter war auch aus. Gateway Garden Parkhaus kostet entgegen der Info des Hotels pro Tag 24€

Ein sehr schönes, modernes und großes Zimmer. Selbst ein Kühlschrank war vorhanden. Perfekte Lage in Flughafennähe.

No shuttle Restaurant shuts early and room service was not available at 11pm. Reception and check in terrible. They took the phone off the hook overnight and the phone constantly engaged. I went down and stood in front of them and called .. no ringing . My family tried to call in from outside as well and it was constantly engaged. Very very dangerous

Mr laith welcomed us at the Reception and served us with World -class service. Even provided us with heater for room and drink. Breakfast was world first. Staff did everything we asked for and got free raisor as I forgot mine.

Everything went super bad. We as a family with pregnant wife, husband, 2 little kids and a dog booked a family room. Instead heard at the reception: sorry all rooms are taken (we’ve paid for it weeks in advance) we will give you 2 instead one will be free. Rooms were sooooo tiny and far away from each other we obviously couldn’t leave our little kids in another room so we had to sleep all In one tiny room where our suitcase didn’t even fit. Airco didn’t work, felt like sauna. On the window sign: do not open the window due to insects. We paid for 4 people shuttle to airport but had to skip breakfast that we paid for because shuttles were full and they sent us super early. We had very bad experience when I contacted customer support they just kept promising to contact me in 48 hours. Few contacts later and 1 month I still never heard from them and my problem wasn’t solved. I wish I would know it and book another hotel

Parkplatz 34 Euro und für eine Nacht doppelt berechnet, einmal auf der Hotelrechnung, dann nochmal seperat. Habe im Hotel daher angerufen und mir wurde eine Mailadresse genannt, an die ich mein Anliegen schreiben soll. Habe keine Antwort bekommen. 78 Euro für einen Parkplatz, den wir 15 Stunden genutzt haben wird wohl korrigiert werden!

I stayed at Holiday Inn Frankfurt Airport as an IHG One Rewards Platinum member. The experience was poor, not because of one dramatic failure, but because of several small failures that made the whole stay feel cheap and careless. Check-in was largely self-service on a tablet, despite staff being present at reception. The tablet asked whether I wanted my Platinum welcome drink voucher. I selected yes. It then completed check-in without issuing the voucher, so I had to go back to the same desk anyway to ask for the benefit manually. That rather defeats the point of self-service. I had originally booked a standard room on points, but the IHG app showed that I had been assigned a 1 King Premium room. The room description listed a bathtub, bathrobe and slippers. Room 622 had no apparent bathtub, and there was no bathrobe or slippers in the room. When I called about the slippers, I was told they were available but that I should come down to reception to collect them myself. That is not a premium-room experience. It is not even especially competent. Either the room description in the app was wrong, or the room provided did not match the room type shown to me. In either case, the guest should not have to discover that after arrival. I raised this with the hotel and IHG Guest Relations after the stay and received no response from either. Overall, this felt like a hotel that has replaced service with process, but without making sure the process actually works. Fine for a bed near the airport, perhaps. Not fine if you expect the room description, listed amenities or loyalty benefits to be handled properly.
