La posizione dell'hotel in cima al Forte di Bard con la possibilità di passeggiare per le vie del Forte anche dopo la chiusura: Un'esclusiva davvero speciale. La camera spaziosa, bella e silenziosa.colazione dolce e salata buona. Le signore della reception top: accoglienti, ci hanno dato consigli molto utili per la visita e ci hanno anche prenotato il ristorante per cena, gentilissime!

One of the coolest places I have ever stayed, just stunning. The rooms are spacious and comfy, and you are in a fortress!!!! A fortress!!!! Your inner child is having the time of its life. Beautiful sunset and sunrise. 4 elevators up are no big deal, takes 8 minutes and stunning views from each.

Nothing! It is a fortress built from 1830 to 1838! You get to sleep in a spot that pissed Napoleon off so badly he razed the previous fortress to the ground.

Die Lage ist einzigartig, die ‚Anreise’ außergewöhnlich und auch die alte Straße durch das Dorf ist sehenswert. In der Casa Ciuca kann man sehr gut essen.

Schitterende locatie, zo bijzonder om in een fort te overnachten. Na 18 uur zelf toegang tot de liften om naar boven te gaan. Zeer bijzonder; “ alleen” in dat fort. Goed ontbijt, schuin tegenover het fort in een restaurant.

Het is uitzonderlijk om in zo'n historisch fort te kunnen verblijven. We hadden de Junior suite met een klein balkon met een prachtig uitzicht. Alles was kraaknet, op de kamer maar ook in de rest van het gebouw. Het ontbijt was vrij eenvoudig maar lekker, steeds met een eitje naar keuze erbij voor wie dat wilde. We zijn nog nooit in een hotel geweest waar we zo goed verdergeholpen werden indien we vragen hadden. Cinzia aan de receptie deed dat met enorm veel overgave. Het naar boven en beneden gaan met de liften nam wel wat tijd in beslag maar dat viel al bij al nog goed mee en onderweg kon je genieten van prachtige uitzichten op het dal en de bergen. We hadden gratis elektrische fietsen ter beschikking en het gratis parkeren was ook een troef. Kortom : dit hotel is beslist een aanrader.

Un établissement exceptionnel dans un site hors normes : une forteresse réaménagée après la destruction ordonnée par Napoléon en 1800. L'hôtel Cavour est accessible après avoir emprunté quatre ascenseurs panoramiques. Les chambres d'officiers sont d'une calme monacal, 460 mètres au-dessus du village. Petit déjeuner et déjeuner excellents. Et le fort de Dard accueille trois musées étonnants à ne pas manquer : le Musée des Alpes, celui des Prisons et Le Ferdinand, fortifications et frontières, qui retracent un voyage immersif sur l'histoire, la vie de la région et la culture locale trans-frontières. A ne pas rater.

Incredibile che questo hotel non sia conosciuto più di tanto ! All’interno del Forte , dotato di un’atmosfera austera ma allo stesso tempo rilassante, vi permetterà di vivere una esperienza unica …Assolutamente da consigliare ! Il personale e’stato gentilissimo , dalla reception alla sala colazioni ; colazione ottima a buffet con dolce e salato , qualità eccellente.

Emplacement unique, pour une expérience inoubliable: dormir dans une ancienne forteresse militaire tout en haut d'un piton rocheux: une véritable expérience, surprenante , jouissive, et inoubliable, à faire au moins une fois dans sa vie! È un'esperienza più che un soggiorno,dormire in un forte sentendosi proiettati in atmosfera magica antica .La sera quando si rientra dal ristorante non essendoci più visitatori si può passeggiare tra le mura sentendosi privilegiati.La camera spaziosa e pulita,il letto comodo.La colazione ottima e abbondante

Cadre grandiose et insolite. La vue était magnifique, y compris la nuit. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, surtout avec les commerces et restaurants à quelques pas.

Einfach nur super schön:-)! Tolle Zimmer, eine Burg wie im Film und sehr sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Zimmer groß, geschmackvoll und mit Klimaanlage (wer es braucht).

De locatie is werkelijk fantastisch! Schitterend gelegen en heel leuk dat je met 4 panoramische liften naar het hotel moet gaan. Heel behulpzaam personeel.

Niks. Het is wel al vroeg heel licht in de hotelkamer door het hoge halfronde raam. Maar dat is een detail voor ons.

Hotel Cavour et des Officiers находится на самом верху крепости Фorte di Bard, и само путешествие к нему уже захватывает дух: 4 лифта и фуникулера, поднимающих вас сквозь скалы с потрясающими видами на долину Аоста . Есть парковка . Когда вечером крепость закрывается для туристов, вы остаетесь здесь практически одни. Гулять по опустевшим мощеным дворам и смотреть, как зажигаются огни в долине внизу — это бесценное чувство, будто крепость становится вашей личной резиденцией . Вы можете выйти в город вечером пройтись, вам дадут ключ от крепости ))). Номера здесь огромные, выполненные в минималистичном, но очень стильном дизайне, с высокими потолками. Отдельное спасибо персоналу, нас встретили как старых друзей, были невероятно приветливы и помогали с любой мелочью . Однозначно рекомендуем всем, кто хочет не просто посмотреть на достопримечательность, а прожить её. Вернемся обязательно! .

This was a really great overnight stay in a really unusual hotel. It’s a fortress cut into the rock and very high up. The lifts (4 or 5) to get up to the hotel take time but are really great to see the views and appreciate how high the hotel is perched. We loved it. The room was lovely and balcony was good to see views. It was really easy to go down and short walk to the restaurants.

There was nothing not to like about this hotel especially for an overnight or a few nights stay. Stayed in Aosta before but would stay here next time.

Everything about the location was amazing. Absolutely loved the experience of staying in such a place, as it was such a unique experience!! The staff and breakfast were great. We were immersed in history....fabulous

Unfortunately we couldn't access the internet as there was a glitch for NZ phones. The staff tried everything for us to connect but unfortunately it didn't work for us.

L’hôtel perché au sommet du fort offre une expérience inoubliable. Les chambres quasi monacales sont grandes, très bien aménagées et confortables. La salle de bain est belle. L’enchaînement des Ascenseurs pour atteindre l’hôtel est une expérience unique. Le personnel est très agréable.

Insolite, intimiste, confortable, sympathique....nous avons adoré notre nuit dans ce lieu, les ascenseurs fonctionnent le soir pour diner dehors et nous étions les premiers pour les visites. La dame a l accueil etait super, gentille, arrangeante et nous a réservé une table dans une osteria typique. Souveni inoubliable

Esperienza consigliatissima con bambino piccolo. Personale gentile e accogliente. Stanze comode. È stato bellissimo dormire all'interno del forte, al mattino ottima colazione e forte tutto per noi. Per i bambini ci sono mostre e spazi dedicati per passare una giornata diversa dal solito. Le ascensori per salire sono di per sè una attrazione! Tutto molto piacevole.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel all’interno del Forte di Bard e l’esperienza è stata davvero bellissima! La posizione è unica e suggestiva, immersa in un contesto storico bellissimo, con una vista molto affascinante.Camera molto confortevole e pulita! Abbiamo apprezzato molto la cordialità di tutto lo staff che lavora nel borgo di Bard: tutti ci hanno accolto con grande gentilezza, rendendo il soggiorno ancora più piacevole.

Det var ett mycket välutrustat rum och badrum. Mycket härlig säng. Frukost matsalen låg nere på innergården och hade ett bra utbud. Extra plus för att man kunde beställa god omelett. Spännande att bo på en gammal fästning med reducerat entrépris till flera utställningar som var mycket bra.

Trist att luftkonditioneringen inte fungerade och en ointresserad vaktmästare som inte ville hjälpa till att få igång AC.

The fact that the fort close on Monday can be great as you could feel even more isolated However it is the day they do maintenance and they really started too early. It was super noisy Maybe avoid the suite which was supposed to be the nicest, and is really nice but the bedroom is above the innercourt where all the noise from gardner, repair, painter even car not stoping the engine. Hence the 8. Still liked it

È stato stupendo dormire in una fortezza restaurata in modo stupendo, con tutti i confort moderni. Ambienti sia esterni che interni curati in modo maniacale, con un restauro conservativo che esalta la bellezza del forte. Staff disponibilissimo e presente per ogni necessità! Molto bello il percorso per arrivare all'hotel tramite teleferica panoramica. Colazione curata con disponibilità di dolci e salato. Bellissimo il panorama dal terrazzino della junior suite!

Esperienza fantastica dormire in un castello che ad una data ora chiude gli accessi e ti proietta in epoche storiche ove ciò era la quotidianità. Panorama spettacolare (giornate meteorologiche ideali), colazione non troppo abbondante ma come credo giusto debba essere: buona scelta ma non vai certo in vacanza per abbuffarti. Ampio parcheggio a disposizione sempre compreso nel prezzo.

Potrebbe essere opportuna la convenzine con strutture esterne ben individuate per la fruizione della cena dato che il ristorante del castello non fa tale servizio (comprensibilmente).

Deuxième séjour au Fort de Bard. Lieu extraordinaire et très dépaysant. L'utilisation des trois funiculaires est amusante. Les chambres et les salles de bain sont grandes, bien meublées. Le petit déjeuner est varié et de qualité. Un endroit à recommander.

Esperienza unica, una notte al Forte di Bard è stata una coccola. La location, la stanza e l'accoglienza hanno regalato cultura e tranquillità.

La possibilità di cenare al Forte. Si è costretti a scendere in paese o prendere l'auto per spostarsi. Considerati i 4 ascensori e il parcheggio mi sembra un po' scomodo. Dal mio punto di vista, se decido di trascorrere una notte in questa location sarebbe molto suggestivo poter cenare dentro le mura.

I slept a sound sleep here. Silence and tranquility you feel here cannot be overlooked. Breakfst is decent.

Leave 20 minutes to get to the top. A lift from the parking, 3 panoramic lifts, then one to the hotel, one last to the floor of the room. I might have gorgotten one or two, but it is a pleasant and amusing challenge, especially for a night. You could clearly realise what it is to be stationed at a castle. Don't get me wrong, I don't complain, but be prepared. It was wonderful for a day but it would be tiring for a week.
