Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Clean and nice facilities, fine to stay a couple days but if you are a backpacker rethink visiting Taichung (keep heading south and do Tainan)
Location wasn't great for rail connection. Very firm bed so didn't sleep well. Not a social place but I don't think there will be any social hostels in Taichung as seems no other backpackers visit and for good reason. Even though some websites try to talk it up, there are no real attractions of note just a couple OK photo opportunities which take more effort than worth if you have travelled anywhere else before.
