METROPLACE BOUTIQUE

it was a great experience. I have been staying at this hotel everytime I come to HK. The staff are very friendly, passionate and professional and the facilities are very good

Good

For the price and location, this is ideal for a tolerant single traveler who needs a place to sleep. It is a bit run down, but sufficiently clean and the staff are very professional. It is in an exciting location, one of the craziest nightlife scenes in Hong Kong, very interesting, but surprisingly quiet for sleeping if you get a room that is high and not facing the street. Pay three times as much, and you can stay in a hotel that looks newer, but for most single business travelers this is fine.

The air con cannot function properly.

The pictures look much better than the actual place. So disappointing and makes you not want to return to the hotel

Old and small the bathroom with the toilet wall so tight.

Good location.

I strongly recommend this place needs a thorough renovation. The wall papers are peeling off, the bathroom is full of black molds with the caulking. I felt very bad staying in the room.

My first choice in HK

Every time I come here, this hotel is my first choice

This motel so dirty. The property have a mold in the room. The room too small. Not suitable for living.

The staff is very friends. However, the property condition is not good. The door cannot closed. the drain is blocked. there is no holder for the soap.

Good value for the price.

The lady saw that I had a usb cable but no adaptor. Without hesitation, she said I can borrow one until the end of my stay and next saw me holding just a pot noodle and asked if I needed chopsticks. It was very very nice of her. I even had a past midnight checking time as my mum was at hospital . They said no problem

You get what you pay for. Not a new building but acceptable cleanliness. Expected small room size.

good service

The Metroplace is in a vibrant, part of Hong Kong full of little shops and street markets. Also, close to a metro station and lots of double decker bus routes. The hotel itself was clean, the service responsive upon request. Our room itself was very small, but that is not unusual in Hong Kong.

Convenient location but the renovation is too old

Convenient location. Lots of restaurants nearby. Housekeeping needs to be improved.

Extremely unsafe area of town. Room is NOT like what you see in the pictures online. Didn't stay, just left and found somewhere else

Nice hotel with the price

The property offers little except a bed which was a small double only accessible from one side. A Shower and toilet in same room and only the bed to sit on. Property was in good location for exploring which is what I wanted. Overall I should have gone to a hotel offering more facilities. Staff were helpful.

the room smelly with moist, the bathroom is moldy and the wall is crack. did not do the room service everyday, just replaced the towels .

The staff is very friendly

Drain of shower room is nearly blocked and flooding the whole toilet. Talked to staff and only gave you towels for drying.

It’s inexpensive and good value.

It is what you paid for but in a very convenient location.

I like the traffic location. Everything in the hotel is adequate, but the building is a bit old!

Very nice and helpful staff But the room is so old and tiny. The bed and towel seems clean, but the wall is full of dark molds, the floor is sticky, the tiny closet door is gone. The staff explained the only way to get hot water for shower is to leave the water on for 5-10mins. This is the most wasteful thing I've ever seen. Sound insulation is bad, your can hear ppl talking next room, and the road noise is quite loud i thought the window was open. The staffs are great, but still the place is quite bad, i don't understand why this qualifies as a hotel, this feels like an average hostel.

Nothing

location

Elevator not working

There is a stinky smell in the toilet, like vomits or street food. Less than 20cm between the two twin beds in the room.

Very reasonably priced in a busy area. Great food options in neighborhood. Convenient in accessing public transportation, including MTR, airpirt buses, and many regular bus routes to Kowloon and 2 buses to HK island.

Although small by my sons's standard, everything is very convenient. Quiet sleep although on a busy street, and on the other side of busieat local market.

Good location, very clean and helpful staff. From the photos it looks like there is a restaurant attached to the hotel but that is not so.

Easy to find a hotel located in sham shui po, bus stop in front of hotel, 7-11 nearest

Small room but generally acceptable. The position of tv can’t be adjusted and cannot be seen clearly if lying on the bed.

Big hole in the face towel, did not even bother to change towel when doing cleaning, stayed 3 nights they have already locked the room card for three times, reason was guests need to reset card at the reception in the morning, what kind of stupid excuse was given, terrible service.

Good location 5 mins to train station. 2 buses to from Airport beside train service. Just hotel room not clean up daily but alternate day

The place is near MTR station, market and eating areas. It is in the main door and can be very noise due to the traffic. The rooms are very close to one another and could hear the door opening & closing and door bell.

Excellent pick for the price and convenience . Friendly staff and expedient check-in made it a pleasant stay

All the staff are excellent and helpful, cleaning maid really did a good job. Lots of good food around, supermarket and 7-11 all nearby. Highly recommended

It is good for the price. Location is convenient, close to MTR and many wonderful eating places.

The staff are nice, the room is clean. Comparing this hotel to another hotels with the same price, i think its best hotel at this low price,

Bar neighborhood and poor hotel. I will not recommend it

Everything is fine .staff friendly room clean and things are good

the room is too small, no space between the beds, we dont need any tooth brush but supply every day , when we left we got over 20 of them in the room, bed blankets not change as according to staff for every 3 days, people been smoking outside the room. fridge legs not stable, floor never clean, a piece of soap dropped under the sink for the whole time we stay

Location wise is good, nearby convenient store, food and MRT. Please take care of the cleanliness, flooring is sticky. Water pump takes time to reheat after one's shower, but we can understand.

close to the station & many 7-11s around, making it convenient. only issue was that the toilet had an unpleasant smell & the bed sheets were dirty.

There was a dead roach on my bed and when I went down and asked the staff for another room, there wasn’t one available except unless I switched that night and then again the next day (not possible for me with a conference, just give me a clean room!) so I asked for sheets and they said they couldn’t give me new ones that night. I gave up. Went up to the room, various stains all over, feet sticking to floor. Every day the new towels I got had more holes than the last day. I regret that I paid in advance. Don’t do this one.

It was a good experience living comfortable in the room because the maids really respected me and didnt disturb me when i was in the room at my private time. They are friendly, the receptionist was also kind, the room is small but the accommodation in the room was nice, tv, small fridge, air con are available.

Near MTR , many eating outlet near vicinity. Flea market is just around the corner.

A short walk from the Sam Shui Po train station, the hotel was easy to find and very centrally located. The room was clean and roomy enough, with our own air-conditioning unit.

Worst Hotel I have ever stayed in Hong Kong

Close to MTR, bustling market, good for cost, quiet at night.

.Location is great. room size too small. bathroom should have some shelves to keep clothing TV is not clear and not too many channels available.

sower sometime have hot water sometime dont .

Bath towel has a large torn hole and small torn hole. Sink has no stopper. Wall papers are torn in several areas. Toilet paper holder is broken and rusty. Elevator use was suspended at 9am and I was required to walk to 5th floor. I have taken photos of those obvious defects.

The tv doesn’t work, room is not sound proof, random person tried to enter my room at 4:30am. There’s a huge hole in the bath towel.

I like very much the location coupled with a good economic opportunity. I also like the linked restaurant and the kindness of the staff

5 min of walk from the Sham Shui Po MTR station. Staff are very eager to help me with requests.

All in all, as a solo traveler is good enough:)

The staff are very nice and helpful! the price is ressonable! Close to everything!

You have to go through a market to get here. It’s a decent place. Not the best area but it will do. Check in and staff is pleasant.

Was good value for price location was ok , good for subway

Great service from front desk guy. Recommended dinner and told us about the area. Also, room had a fridge and 2 free waters. HK is pricey and this was a value.

Amazing and lovily

Relatively convenient location for local gadget shopping and access to MTR. Room was a bit aged but acceptable. Service at reception was excellent - courteous and friendly.

It isn't far from Sham Shui Po MTR station. It takes 15 minutes to walk from Prince Edward MTR station. It is very vibrant, although there is a messy flea market and a lot of Indians nearby. There are plenty of local eateries nearby. There are more than 2 7-Eleven nearby. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are cleaned every day. I did not lose anything. Two free bottles of water daily. Has a mini fridge. Heater a little unstable but not difficult to shower. Aircond works perfectly with mininal noise. Not much space for luggage in the room. Overall cozy and accessible, and affordable.

Good location near to MTR, Dragon Centre and shops. Hotel is clean, comfortable and easy to find. Staffs are well versed in English. Would be better if they can provide small seating area at lobby for the elderly. All in all, recommended.

We accidentally booked the wrong hotel as names were similar & it really ruined the last day of our holiday.room was so small one of us had to stand in the shower when the other changed.toilet is at the end of the bed with a door that's barely frosted so all your dignity goes out the window & towels were full of holes.id avoid it if I had the chance again.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Not too pleasant to walk through the market for a few blocks to the MTR station at night.

It is a good hotel. Good service, everything clean. It was located on a busy street but the noise was not a problem at all.

This is rare. A cheaper priced hotel in Kowloon that actually is a hotel. Most of the ones in this price bracket are awful with the names of many different hotels nailed to the wall at the end of a corridor of a residential apartment block. The reception was manned, all spoke good English, were knowledgeable and helpful. The room was small but functional. (Compared to the hell hole we had later in our trip, a positive palace!)

The room was small, but clean. They provided everything that you would expect for the price. The location is easy to find, if you can navigate Hong Kong by subway. The only thing that i consider a mark against it was very slow WiFi.

Pleasant, near to market, shops & mtr . Only complain, room is too small

Decent location with access to metro roughly 3 blocks away.

Good location

Cold, roaches

Cheap to book online but not so cheap if you book at the desk on the day. I stayed in the deluxe twin. A friend stayed in the standard single. The deluxe seemed much cleaner and has a fridge. The standard single had a smell that suggested it had been occupied mostly by men; of course it's much smaller too. The hotel is situated about 10 mins walk to Shamshuipo MTR and just downstairs within a short walk there's a Watsons and Mannings chemists, supermarkets, fruit shops, cheap eateries and restaurants and the many typical street stalls of Shamshuipo. Very convenient but not the cleanest area of Hong Kong. I was generally very happy with this hotel, but guests arriving or leaving in the middle of the night were very noisy (no respect or consideration for fellow guests), and sometimes guests were smoking in the hallway. Smoke would drift into the rooms even with the door shut. This is a non-smoking hotel, but obviously some people just don't care. I complained to reception, which is mostly manned by one young and friendly guy, but all he could do was say, "I'll go and take a look." The smoking guest quickly disappeared into his room when he heard someone coming and then came out and resumed his smoking after the staff left.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was small but for the location and area in Hong Kong the size was reasonable. The hotel and room was clean throughout. Staff was helpful. Good location to restaurants and the busy night market.

Close to metro startion and bus stops Tidy room with clean bed and mattress Tiny room with not much space for luggages Overall, it's worth to stay overnight for me

Hotel location is 3 blocks away from MTR (Subway), Easily go anywhere in the city. Staff is friendly and can speak english very well. Facility in the room is quite well.

Hong Kong hotel rooms are usually very expensive but so small you can hardly walk in it. Metroplace was slightly larger than the impossibly tiny Tsim Sha Tsui rooms of Kowloon south, but it was still expensive. The advantage was that it was only a few blocks from the Sham Shui Po subway station and quite near the Dragon Center mall. Also, shopping exists all around the neighborhood. My room was twin room, the two beds so close together I couldn't even get my foot between them. If that room were two feet wider, it would get a much better review.

the place was easy to find and a few min walk from MTR but the room was sooo small just like any hk hotel. overall its ok.

ROOM IS SMALL BUT THAT IS NORMAL WITH HOTELS IN HONG KONG, THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND THEY CHANGE THE SHEETS EVERYDAY, SOME HOTELS DO NOT. THEY TURN OVER THE BOTTOM SHEET , PUT BACK ON THE BED. LOCATION OF HOTEL IS NOT DOWNTOWN, BUT YOU ARE NOT PAYING DOWNTOWN PRICES. SUBWAY IS WITHIN 10 MINUTE WALK, AMERICANS MAY NOT LIKE THE LOCATION BECAUSE ENGLISH IN NOT SPOKEN WELL, BUT THE PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY AND WILL HELP . RESTAURANTS ARE LOCATED NEAR AND THE FOOD IS GOOD. HOTEL IS NEAR THE UNIVERSITY , WAS IMPORTANT TO ME. HAVE BEEN TO HONG KONG MANY TIMES , WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN

After couple of nights, realized our door wasn't locking (& was probably also unlocked at night when we were asleep). Reported it to reception on a Friday - they said they would get it fixed. On Saturday it was the same - & they said as it was the weekend, nothing could be done until Monday. We had to accept this - even though we didn't believe that in a big city like that, they had no maintenance they could call on. We could secure it by slamming the door over & over, and shoulder charging it until we knew it was secured. On Monday morning we reminded them & when we got back late afternoon it was completely unlocked (cleaner had just shut it, expecting it to lock). That was the last straw - we told them we had to change rooms. When gathering our things together, we checked the drawers under one of the beds - it had disposable cups full of cigarette butts & ashtrays that looked to have been there for quite a while. Also the bathroom cupboard had a smelly, mouldy towel thrown in it. Cleaning obviously isn't a priority.

The staff there are so nice. They offered us so much help including the routes to some visits and some convenient ways to the airport.

The hotel was very convenient to access and the staff was really nice. The price we paid for our stay was of great value.

I thought it was good. Location good. Only one elevator so it may be busy at times.

It is convenient and close to the electronics and lots of food around. Things also tend to be cheaper than other areas but there isn't a lot of sightseeing places but the MTR and buses is not close and gets to everything quite easily. If it was for a relative visit and they're in Kowloon or NT, the place is great. The main down side is perhaps the transport back to the airport when getting back as the bus is only hourly and if it is an early flight, taxi might be the only way to get to the airport as no MTR or bus is available. Overall, quite a good hotel

Quite a short walk away from SSP MTR, have to walk through busy market. Hotel was comfortable, we chose the bigger room (17sqm) so space was good for a 2 pax stay. Concierge service was perfect - we had problems with the door and it was resolved quickly. We asked for room slippers and they came to us in 5. Recommended!

The room was super tiny. There’s barely any room left for luggage if you have luggage. The sink faucet and windowsill were filled with stains. It seemed like they haven’t been wiped down nor cleaned for weeks. The towels had holes in them, even found a stain on one towel. The water temperature in the shower would fluctuate from hot to cold which was an annoyance. The location of this hotel is not situated in the best neighbourhood. The area is super sketchy at night and the streets are very filthy with garbage on every street corner. Also, the area smells really bad. You can literally smell it as soon as you exit the hotel. The only positive thing is that they give you two bottles of water everyday. Overall, would not stay here again.

Hotel was great for it's cost. Services were great and the staff is very helpful. It's location is perfect for eating local foods, buying goods and mtr station not far off.

Area is 5mins walk to red line mtr, and 10 mins from orange line mtr, hotel is clean and comfortable, for family there are bigger rooms available.

The hotel location was near to MRT station, it take about 10 minutes walk to reach hotel. Hotel was clean and comfort but the only thing was too small.
