Très bien situé proche de l’aéroport pour notre vol tôt le matin. L’hôte était très accueillant et chaleureux, et nous a partagé de nombreux conseils, notamment sur les très bons restaurants du coin. Un grand merci !

Waren nur für eine Nacht. Sehr schöner Poolbereich .Top Lage zum. Flughafen in nur 3 Minuten. Sehr nette Gastgeber und saubere Zimmer. Frühstück hatten wir nicht, da wir schon um 6.00 Uhr raus sind.

Advertised that you could check in after 7. As soon as we booked we were told we couldn’t and we didn’t get a refund. Booking.com didn’t help either. Very poor

Dear Carl, You let us walk at night time from the airport to your lodge. You knew port elizabeth is a bad neighbourhood to walk at night. It was especially dangerous because we were tourists, with out suitcases!!!! When we called you to come pick us up from the airport, you simply told us to download the “uber app” Thanks for the horrible experience, we had a shit time in port elizabeth all thanks to you!! Hope to never see you again, Jethro

Gastgeber überaus freundlich. Gute Tipps zum Essen. Hat uns Tisch reserviert und eine Flasche Wein kostenlos besorgt. Half uns bei der notwendigen Einrichtung von Uber App. Zimmer zweckmäßig für Flughafennähe. Trotzdem netter Pool.

Nicht gut in der Gegend ab spätnachmittag zu Fuss unterwegs zu sein.

Gute Lage zum Flughafen, nette Gastgeberin. Persönlich fand ich das Zimmer etwas klein, aber mit allem ausgestattet was es braucht.

Im Zimmer riecht es sehr nach Schimmel. Keine Klimaanlage, aber dafür Ventilator

We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Room was very comfortable with everything we needed The host was extremely friendly, provided lots of useful information about the area and made sure or stay was perfect.

Nous avons été très bien a accueillis et avons bénéficié de nombreux conseils pour la suite de nos vacances. Bel établissement avec une décoration soignée et un très beau jardin. Un havre de paix, nous recommandons vivement !

A guesthouse where a warm welcome was received. Very accommodating, the rooms were clean, comfortable. Carl ensured that everything was taken care off. Definitely worth visiting again :-)

La plus belle et la plus accueillante des guesthouse dans un quartier tranquille Les chambres sont délicieusement décorées, avec une très grande salle de bain, la véranda où l’on prendra son petit déjeuner (copieux) avec vue sur la piscine, est aménagée avec goût et sent la cire, Avec un petit coin lecture confortable. Le jardin vous tend les bras pour moment de détente avant de se baigner dans une belle piscine très propre à l’eau cristalline. De belles places de parc. Notre hôte est absolument charmant, discret et de bons conseils pour trouver de bons restaurants ou endroits à visiter. Je recommande cet endroit chaleureusement

I had an exceptional experience at Amani Guest House with the owner and staff very friendly and helpful. The owner of the Guest house was very helpful in recommending the best restaurant around and the best places to see during the stay. In my opinion that kind of service is exceeding my expectations.

Spotlessly clean in perfect location for airport access. A great overnight choice for early morning flight. Our host was able to help us with restaurant advice and airport transfer in early morning hours. Lovely garden area with poolside sitting.

Perfect hotel for a stopover at the airport for the onward journey to Johannesburg or the Garden Route. The rooms are cute and the bathrooms large. Perfect water pressure and nice warm water. The garden is a real oasis with lots of details and love, which actually deserves a longer stopover. But the real highlight is the owner Carl. A very likeable and educated man. Listen to him and be sure to ask for his travel recommendations. They are gold and will add at least 5 more points to your trip! In Port Elisabeth? Stay here!

The location is very close to the airport but apparently not in a safe neighbourhood, so that one cannot just walk to the accommodation. The host was very welcoming and helpful, with a lot of advice for my trip. Made good breakfast also. The rooms were clean.

I stayed on a cool spring night and found the stay rather cold. The heating is small and probably insufficient. After checkout I wasn’t welcome to retrieve my luggage after the rental pick-up, since the host had to leave.

Amani is a great place to stay for business or private travel. The rooms, gardens and general facility is super clean and welcoming. Carl is a great host and nothing is ever a problem for him to assist you with.

Close to the airport, this was for us the reason for booking. Carl is a nice host, he advised us a good restaurant.

The accommodation is perfect for one night if you need to stay close to the airport and you have a car. The room is a bit small but very cosy with a large bed, heating and a bathroom with all necessary amenities. There’s also a tea station in the room on the desk. The highlight of this property is its owner, who is extremely welcoming, full of great restaurant recommendations and loves to engage in conversation with you on many topics. We learned a lot from him about life in PE and the animal parcs around SA. Thank you for such a pleasurable stay!

In the evening some youth decided to start racing their cars on the street and it was pretty loud, but it didn’t last until too late in the night.

Just a one night stop for an early morning flight from Port Elizabeth. What a fabulous welcome from Carl, the owner, who made us feel at home straight away. Very clean and comfortable with a lovely garden and pool area. Carl reccommended a fantastic steak house close by too. Top notch.

Lovely B&B very close by the airport, no chance to be late to your flight! Secluded place with a lot of greenery and a pool, which means you don't really notice the airport and the busy streets around.

The host was very nice and gave us a list with things to do in our trip. He also waited for us to the check in later than expected. The room was little but it had everything that we needed, and it was very clean. Thank you for everything!

Clean and neat. Peaceful stay over. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. The ambiance of the place was also good. I would recommend to anyone on business. Free WiFi. Love the bird life in the area.

We stayed here for one night prior to an early flight to Johannesburg. This boutique guest lodge is literally 5 minutes drive from the airport. The proprietor Carl was charming and went out of his way to ensure we knew how to find the airport. He also gave us good recommendations for somewhere to get a beer and snack at lunchtime and a nice evening meal, all within 10 mins drive from the Guest Lodge. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. I can’t comment on breakfast as we had to leave too early to sample it. However, Carl and his adorable dog “Buddy” were up early to see us off. I have no hesitation in recommending a short stay here.

The host, Carl could not have been more welcoming and helpful!! Gorgeous garden setting, room very comfortable and spacious. Room very clean (could have used some wash clothes-or maybe I just missed them) and shower had great water pressure (fantastic after almost 24 hours of flying). Carl’s cooking skills are excellent (I almost burned the place down toasting my bread)! 😜. Price great and Carls knowledge of So. Africa an added bonus!!

It was a very clean and special place. The lobby as well as room have a very home atmosphere and are beautifully decorated. The receptionist provided us with a lot of information about our future travels.

There is not much to not like. Everything was there and the only problem we had was with load shedding.

We stayed here one night before our flight from port Elizabeth very convenient for the airport and Col the owner made us feel very welcome and advised us well on local restaurants. Didn’t have breakfast due to early flight

It was close to the airport

We had such a bad experience with this Guest Lodge. The owner was super rude! We called him after 19.00 from another place to tell him that we are arriving late (we are traveling by Bus and have no Sim Card). He was not amused about that, he also hang up on us twice while we were asking questions. After we arrived he only let us check in after paying an additional 500 rand fee. We didn’t want to pay such a high fee but since we already paid the accommodation in advance we still wanted to get the service (one night) we paid for. After all, there was no other choice than to pay the fee. Otherwise he wouldn’t let us stay and we would’ve been two girls in the dark without an accommodation. Furthermore, he made “the late check in fee” look like it was the payment for the stay on the receipt! So we definitely wouldn’t recommend to stay there. There is also no AC - it was super hot in the room.

Awesome little lodge.. very friendly staff and owner operated. Rooms are beautiful, Breakfast is amazing and the best we had by any lodge or guesthouse. Definetly worth the stay. Braai facilities, nice shower and wifi. We will definetly visit again.

What a great host! So easy to communicate with, and the place is always clean and tidy. Would recommend to any other guest to book at this property at any time. Carl is a very good talker always going beyond his way to accommodate you. Another plus he has a classic car collection and has it on the property.

This is a very nice location for a short stay, especially if you do not want to travel further after arriving at PE airport. Very close to the airport it seems like an oasis. Carl has been super-friendly and helpful.

I chose Amani due to its proximity to Port Elizabeth Airport, price and good reviews. Carl was lovely and welcoming and made a delicious home made breakfast. I was very sad to hear about Buddy after him being mentioned in other reviews. The property was gated so made me feel very safe (as a young solo female traveller) and the room was very comfortable and clean. Lovely to see so much bird life coming through the garden. The wifi was good and toiletries and towels provided. Good amenities close by. Thanks for a lovely visit and will definitely recommend to others! :)
