Hyatt Place Augusta

Hotel was modern and fairly clean, as were the rooms.

The hotel was so humid, and the thermostat didn’t seem to work. Despite settling it to a low temperature, it never turned on until 4am. Also, sadly despite booking through Booking.com, it caused a lot of confusion at check-in as it was third-party. We were then charged a fee the following morning as a “no show.” This was taken off and the woman at the desk was helpful, but it was frustrating as it took a week for it to come off of our credit card statement.

The room was nice, the beds were comfortable and clean I loved the pillows.

The shower handle was loose, I was afraid it was going to come off and the water would go everywhere. Not enough towels.

We rented this hotel for the pool.we were there for a ball tournament and knew we would have down time. The pool was closed and they never made us aware on the website or when we checked in

Clean, friendly staff

The pool was under maintenance which was sad because I was specifically looking for a hotel with a pool for the weekend and I checked the actual website to ensure that the pool wasn’t closed but upon arrival we were told the pool was closed.

Nice clean facility. Was much better than I expected and the staff was curteous. The wifi was good and the overall ambience was nice.

Breakfast was good .....fruit was a little old looking. The room size was good bed was comfy!!

The floor in the room was a bit dirty and there was some sort of spot on the floor by the book that looked like someone or something threw up! We did not get clean towels for the second day and since I was told this place was recently upgraded they could have done a better job on the bathroom shower. And the mirror should have been a non fog mirror as the trim on the bottom of the mirror was rusted.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The wifi is great.

I was charged $15 security deposit that was supposed to credit back to my account. Well instead I got charged $23. I went back there in person to get it corrected. Instead they charged my credit card hundreds of dollars for no reason. They ended up crediting me that money back after I had to call again. But still left the $23 charge on my credit card Smdh

Conveniently located. Large comfortable room with a great mattress. Breakfast was varied and fresh. RJ was welcoming and quick to respond to my check in and warmly greeted me. The staff in general were friendly and accommodating.

Easy to find

Construction without notice. Room view was blocked by plastic sheeting. Was not told of the pool being closed had to turn the entire family around after getting everyone ready after a 6hr drive. The eggs at breakfast had a crazy amount of fake butter in them, basically all the cooked food tasted bad. Ended up eating fruit and cereal

The staff were all friendly and helpful. We liked the complimentary water bottles and cookies. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was decent. The late check out at 12:00 was nice to have, even though we were unable to use it.

If you like to wake up in the middle of the night sweating because the hotel has motion detector thermostats this is the hotel for you! Maintenance came up to “help” and thought the motion sensor on the thermostat was for a remote control. I’m not joking! Then I asked if he had the password so we can over ride the sensor and he said they don’t have passwords. I had to then show him how to get to the screen where it asks for a password. I can’t blame him but can blame whoever is in change of training the maintenance staff.

Love the location, staff and great continental breakfast

Overall, the property was was good. However, I did experience some issues with the room when I first checked in. The room was door was wide open, possibly due to the construction that was on site. However, the customer service at the front desk was super kind and went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and escorted me to another room. The new room was still dusty from the construction.

The front desk person was very nice and welcoming.

The room was hot when we first arrived. The thermostat was worked on but by maintenance However it fell off and didn’t work again for the rest of the night. It was late when we returned and noticed it was working again. The front desk person brought us two fans while one was a blower. Of course it was loud and the regular fan did not work. Needless to say we didn’t sleep well at all.

The hotel was clean and atmosphere was very inviting. Loved my stay. The hotel is under renovation but you couldn't tell by being inside, everything was well in order and undisturbed. Will be coming back and forth between my home location and Augusta and plan to continue to stay during those business trips. Thank you!

The property was under construction with no notice here on booking.com or their website. Had I known I wouldn’t have booked there. The tvs are old and their cable went in and out so bad we had to buy a fire stick just to watch tv. We were in a transition period before moving to my new apartment and I usually wish I could stay in a hotel longer but this time I couldn’t wait to leave. The kitchen staff was rude. They were low on eggs and when I asked them if they were going to bring more out she didn’t even make I contact with me, looked at the scraps of eggs, and replied “there’s some eggs in the there”. I had DO NOT DISTURB on my door and the fire department still knocked on my door wanting to “see if I had a fire detector in the room”. I didn’t. The floors had dust and hair on them when I checked in that wasn’t mine. I hate hair especially in the bathroom man. And lastly the construction left white specs of the ceiling all over my clothes because of the construction banging against the wall. So disappointing when I thought I was avoiding half-baked services.

Front desk Lady at check in was rude .She got a attitude with me when I asked to talk to a Manager about my service dog.

Everyone was very welcoming. Construction work going on . Noise early but left early anyway.

Was hard to navigate the cooling system

Double charged me and was super expensive. Also the place was half under renovations.

Upon arrival we saw that the entire hotel was under construction and all the windows were covered and taped closed. We were concerned after a full day of travel that the hotel was not operational even though when booking the reservation through my World of Hyatt app there was no communication that any construction or renovations were taking place at the hotel. We checked in as Globalists and headed straight to our room. Looking around you could see the overall lack of cleanliness in the lobby, elevator and hallways but when it came to our room it was absolutely shocking. We had greasy handprints on the headboards, toothpaste sprayed all over the mirrors, debris and drywall on the floors, stains on the chairs and the windows were covered so you couldn’t see out. We had checked in after a long day of travel and changing hotels wasn’t an option that late night. The front desk offered to change our room but we were not confident any other room would be cleaner given the fact housekeeping signed off on this room. I spent an hour on the phone at midnight filing a claim with World of Hyatt who did not provide me with any solution to my complaint. As a globalist who has been with Hyatt for over ten years I’m noticing the quality of customer service, cleanliness and staffing at properties has gone downhill despite the fact they are raising point redemption across all properties this week. WOH said they would reach out to me to follow up and I haven’t been contacted yet.

Arrived and there was major construction going on and nothing was posted about this in the website when I booked.

The associate at the front desk was great. Made us feel really welcomed. The food and beverage manager was such a joy to have her wait on us. My Best Friend and I were celebrating out birthdays and we really felt special. I was also choosen for the guest of the day and was presented with a gift bag. What a surprise that was.

They were doing remodeling construction and was limited on parking but it was ok.

The staff were excellent and the location was perfect too.

The property is under renovation and things were not quite up to par, but the staff addressed the concerns and made things right for us. The meal that my wife had wasn’t so tasty either. The salad was better than the meal to be honest with you.

Construction and sewage backup for three days made the visit horrible. Hotel should have addressed this issue sooner.

Hotel was under renovation. Room smelled like paint, had plaster all over the window and they left the paper ring out from where they painted. I told employee and he came in room and gave me excuses why it’s supposed to be like that and never apologized. Phone didn’t work in room either.

We stayed at the Hyatt House while we were in town for the Masters. The hotel is being renovated but the staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were not impacted. The room was very clean, fresh and clean sheets and fluffy towels! Front desk staff, kitchen staff and bartender were all fantastic, they even opened up breakfast early one morning when they saw we had an early start. We would definitely stay here again! They also offer a shuttle to the golf course.

First of all, I have been to the Masters over a dozen times over the years. I played golf for Augusta College (now University) back 40 years ago. So I recognize how in demand the hotels are for Masters week. But the fact that this hotel got a 90+ rating was insane. We got a "Special King Size Room". I think the "Special" part meant it was on the top floor. There is no closet or any area for hanging your clothes. We asked 3 times for a bar of soap to wash our hands, and never got one. All this for $850/night. I'll go back to Hampton Inn in Thomson and drive the 30 minutes to the course.

The property is in a good location but they have no business being open

I arrived at 11:30pm when they informed me there would be a 20 minute wait for a room as they didnt have one available more than 30 minute went by and the room still wasnt ready they refered us to a sister property tru by hilton in agusta we drove 10 minutes mind you its now past 12 am tru had no idea what we were talking about i called several times and no one was answering finally they answered and come to find out we were supposed to be at tru in north agusta so we drive another 15 minutes its darn near 1 am and finally we make it tru by hilton was great but hyatt not at all.

Staff was very friendly. Was unable to accommodate early check-in. Busy weekend. Likely not their fault. No complimentary water with world of Hyatt status. Room was clean but in bad shape. Breakfast was as good as expected.

The hotel is currently under heavy construction, which was not clearly communicated ahead of time. The noise and disruption made the stay far less enjoyable than expected. Service was also below average, with slow responses and limited staff availability. Hopefully the experience improves once construction is complete.

Great time to gather with family to celebrate my Mom's 79th birthday. It is always a joy to make the moments into memories.

The battery for the keypad in our room was bad and it took the very nice staff person about 45 minutes to get us into our room because the technology that she had to get it fixed didn’t work. Based on the condition of the door, this was not the first time that this had happened to the keypad on our door. Further, the bathroom sink was backed up and there was hair and other gross things in the bathroom sink.

Front desk had amazing staff n breakfast wasn’t bad

Room wasn’t clean had very bad smell as a smoker also seemed as someone mopped with dirty sour water in bathroom my fiancé and I had to go to the local Walmart purchase a blanket and smell goods to just be able to stay. Fridge was broken and wouldn’t cool nor would our blinds raise to be able to see view. Poor was closed also just overall bad to be a visitor for first time.

How clean and cute it was the pool nice the $15 cleaning fee I mean who can beat that great place I’ll definitely be back.

The ac wasn’t working

I really enjoyed the comfort of the King Size bed. The air was good and the coffee in the room was delicious. My overall experience was good. It is also great to getaway.

The sink's drainage could have been better. The water drained slowly.

I like the location and the staff were very nice and accommodating.

I didn't like the fact that there were no breakfast meats available or whole milk. I was told by staff that the meat was in the gravy. I do not like gravy or my breakfast meat in gravy. That's absolutely absurd for a restaurant not to provide breakfast meats. The towels were so rough to my skin and pool was unavailable.

The was very good and the room it was very clean , the young keep all the food filled.

Pool was closed for repairs (big disappointment with the Heat), one of the elevators was broke down the entire stay with no evidence that it was being repaired causing delays with guests having to use only 1 elevator (I was with my handicap mother so stairs were not an option and we were on the top floor). Walls and carpet were in bad shape throughout.

The room may have had mold. I and my mom coughed all night and beds were hard as rocks. We didn't get any relief until leaving hotel. Bugs crawling on walls and flooring appeared water damage inside hotel hallway and carpet.

Pleasantly surprised by the room, 500 sf with a full kitchen, even though there were no utensils or pots and pans. Also breakfast left something to be desired as sausage gravy and biscuits were the closest thing to getting any meat. Did have fruit and some hard boiled eggs. Check in and checkout was quick and painless. Staff was pretty much friendly. I'd stay again.

Staff is friendly and environment was clean

We stayed at the property two separate nights due to family death. Both times the shampoo and liquid body wash containers were completely empty.

We had an incredible stay! The room was comfortable and very clean. Staff were truly extraordinary and went out of their way to assist. I was incredibly impressed!! Hot breakfast was lovely and we had a terrific light dinner at the bar.

After paying, they said they did not have a room matching my payment. They told 3 other people behind me the same thing. They refused to work to refund which would allow me to go elsewhere. Carpet torn. Window shades ragged. Restaurant was really a bar. Out of half things in menu. No iced tea. Breakfast was removed 30 min prior to end time. Gen Mgr Ball never called me back. Both computers for customers did not work— no keyboard on one. Other was non operational. NO HOT WATER NIGHT OR NEXT MORNING!! Would not stay there again for any reason.

Great breakfast! Location was perfect! Aquarius at the front desk was very helpful with my booking and called me to update the booking I made with booking.com. All of the front desk staff was very nice and the housekeeping lady was very friendly & restocked our room when we asked. We were extremely impressed with the courtesy of the people at the hotel.

Light smell in the room when you first walked in. Maybe a/c dampness? Everything else was perfect!

Cream for coffee should be fresh cream not Milk .. there should be boiled eggs and I should have the option of making my own waffles and pancakes .. more options for people who do not use pork

Stayed for 3 nights for a conference. The hotel was supposedly relatively new, but it was run down, smelly, and moist everywhere. The rooms smelled so bad, even after asking for a different room, that I had to purchase my own air fresheners, which didn't help. My uniforms were smelly and my clothes stunk when I got home to unpack. Most disturbing was the situation where the hotel staff tried to help a guy get into his room after his card didn't work. They were trying to break in the lock for an hour right outside my room. Then I noticed there were evidence on many doors of the same thing. The wood around the locks were chipped away and it was broken into. Made me feel very unsafe. I took a few photos.

One of the best Hyatt properties that I've stayed at. Everything there was better than expected. I will definitely stay there again!

Customer Service and breakfast staff not friendly!! Told no breakfast even though it was 6:25am and they opened at 6:30am. Evening desk clerk wearing mask for some reason and hard to understand!

Every staff member I spoke to was very pleasant and professional.
