Casa Tamar Guest Apartments

Loved the property. It was a huge unit. Very quiet. Great view of the mountains! Great location for people coming to us and for our heading out to see and do. Thasheca was amazing. Cannot day enough great things about this place. It will be our go to place for Kingston trips on future.

The apartment was clean and had all the amenities I was looking for. I was close to the US Embassy, which was my purpose of travel. I even checked out the Bob Marley Museum tour and the local Mall. The area felt safe.

Very spacious apartment. The bathroom and kitchen was clean and that is my peeve. Keep up the good work.

Very nice place and safe to walk to the US Embassy and to the wall. Thasheca was nice and try to help us with whatever we needed. She was also patient with us during check-in and check-out.

I made arrangements to stay at this property through Expedia. When I arrive the temperature in the apartment was over 90° even though it was advertised as completely air condition. Only the bedroom had an AC which was woefully in adequate to cool the bedroom and the living room. After 45 minutes of being in the residence I decided that I could not stay as the heat was unbearable. Even though I had made payment through Expedia I was further required to put down a deposit ,and cleaning fees which I did. A Further request was made of me to photocopy my US drivers license which I was uncomfortable with but I complied trying to be as cooperating as possible. Told the representative that I would not be staying so I would like my deposit to be refunded. They refuse to refund my complete deposit even though I had not utilize any aspect of the facility as I had only been there for about 45 minutes not even the restroom I had used. I sought and obtain accommodation at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel for the duration of my trip. I consider the behavior of the owners of this property as disingenuous and criminal. I Contacted American Express and dispute the charges. The conduct of those involved in renting this property reminds me of the infamous pirate Henry Morgan.

I absolutely fell in love with the apartment the moment I stepped through the door. Excellent service. Very quiet apartment complex. The apartment is Spacious and feels like home.

I have done a lot of traveling in my life and this was one of the best experiences I have had across the globe. The room was spacious, warm and clean. Staff professional, compassionate and courteous. It felt better then being home during my stay.

Bed was very comfortable but the pillows were a little high for me but different strokes for different folks so we requested softer ones ad was given them on Monday, a day later. The manager apologize and explained that the stores were closed at 3pm on Sunday. There is a lot of truth to that but it could have been communicated more promptly which would have made the stay perfect dispute the pillow.

Really nice place. I like the location of it; it’s very accessible to transport and walking distance from mall and restaurants. We will book an overnight again when we are going back to the airport.

La habitación muy espaciosa, cama cómoda y todo súper limpio. Situado en uno de los mejores barrios de Kingston y muy tranquilo! El personal muy amable repetiremos!

This place is lovely and a serious bargain. It was one of the few places that is better than the pictures. The staff are extraordinary!! Nothing was too much trouble. They were so helpful and kind. We highly recommend this place. One word of caution. It is in a rather good area and almost because of this exercise extreme caution walking anywhere at night.

Apartments are definitely the way to go. We had far more space and comfort. Too bad my stay was so short.

Very comfortable and spacious apartment. My two bedroom NYC apartment could fit in this apartment twice. I really like the fact that they did not over furnish this space. The space is very comfortable. During the days I just open up and enjoy the island vibe. I am into decoration and the apartment have a bit of things going for it, extremely high ceiling, open rafters etc. I actually could see the mall through the kitchen window so I walked to the mall and walked around daily just to get my 30k steps. I will definitely book this one again.

inside the living room was so hot you will not be able to spend no time in there to watch TV or anything else if u cook u would die of the heat there only have one AC just in the bedroom so whit said u have to stay in the bedroom or go outside but other then that the apartment was very clear and nice. hostess was very nice

Location and cleanliness of facility made it convenient

I made the reservation in order to attend a funeral and with all of the other activities, I did not call them 72h in advance. It is strongly advised that you do so. Upon arrival I was told that the property I had originally reserved did not have running water and was offered a similar property that did have water - which I accepted. This new property was similarly appointed as the original but was significantly smaller (though still a 1 bedroom). It was clean, and had a large King sized bed. The kitchen and its contents were also in very good shape. Access to the property is restricted by both a remote controlled gate and locked access to the building so we felt safe while there. The one thing to be aware of is that there is an additional "hotel fee" that includes a daily charge for cleaning note: the apartment is not cleaned every day) that must be paid, in cash, upon arrival. Overall, our stay went well.

I loved everything about this property! What is advertised is exactly what you get. It’s clean, very spacious, and safe! Very close to amenities. I would highly recommend this place and come back here when I visit again! The check in and out was very easy and the Property Managers I met were very flexible and helpful. I arrived on my own before my second guest, and the Property Manager checked in on me to make sure I felt comfortable and safe. The only thing to improve is the bathroom sink, which just needs a bit of de-clogging. Otherwise, this place was perfect!

This is a very nice place. Very spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend this property. I have to be honest, caring my luggage to the 3rd floor was the only drawback. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!

Very spacious and we did a bit of entertaining family and friends. They was not something I would consider doing in a one bedroom apartment but the space for it was there. Amazing coordination with the decorating. The apartment was very clean and everything was in working order. In fact everything appeared new. Highly recommended.

Very spacious apartment and good location. The jerk at 102 Hope Road, we enjoyed the food there.

I didn’t like the fact it was on the 3 rd floor, also for the entire time I was there no cable service or WiFi connection The operation personnel didn’t pay the cable bill; very unprofessional

Extremely comfortable bedroom living room I felt at home everyday I was there my next trip I will definitely go back

Has more space than my three bedroom apt in NY. Nicely furnished and great use of the space. Victoria was friendly and helpful and the apartment was very clean.

Every thing was up to our expectation! Great property nice location!

The place was very clean when we arrived. The location was perfect, everything is in walking distance. The property over all was great! Definitely coming back.

Check in was flawless and took less than 10 minutes. Victoria was very friendly but professional and went over all the functions of the apartment. The apartment was very clean and spacious, the bed was very comfy, the TV and Wifi worked perfectly. In addition the apartment complex was gated and I felt very safe.

We have favored villas and apartments for family vacation since the emergence of these kinds of accommodations in 2013. Not too many property engage their guests well ahead of arrival and ensure all our arrival arrangements (airport pickup) are in place. This property and did the same the day before check-out. The communication made the difference. I have personally arrived at a property in Aruba and had to way 2 hours for the manager to arrive. Just getting a call in advance set the tone for what was to come. Good job, keep up the good service.

Like no other I have ever seen... Mt three bedroom apartment in London is smaller than this. lol We had a fantastic stay and regret we could not get it again for Bob Marley Birthday celebrations. The Bob Marley museum is just down the road. Casa Tamar had all our required amenities to feel at home and they were all in good working order. We will be back next year... One Love Jamaica

I stayed here in 2015 and again recently and I get the folks who operate these apartments credit for keeping thing together. I return because the experience was good in 2015 and the apartment got better as well as the service. I really appreciated the recognition from the staff and Vicky the manager. I will always go back because they make us fell as if we were coming home.

Great stay will stay again good location in new kingston

The owner and management team treated us with respect and worked hard to ensure we had a good stay.

It’s spacious and quiet with a well equipped kitchen. The bed pillows are high and hard and very uncomfortable!

Property was spacious fairly well equipped and Operations Manager was very professional and responsive. Living room was unbearable hot during the days as such utility of the room was very limited. One is forced to stay in the bedroom which has air conditioning.

Victoria checked us in and out the apartment and she was polite knowledgeable about the general area based on her answers to the questions I asked. The apartment is very spacious and furnished well. The amenities worked and the only thing that seemed out of place was the orange bar stool. Seemed they screwed the leg on backways and I pointed it out to Victoria and within hours maintenance came and turned it around. The apartment is definitely worth recommending to other travelers. The are is safe for foreigners and food was in walking distance. This one check all the boxes for my wife and I.

Appreciated having accessnrinangeound floor apartment. This has close proximity to restaurants and stores.

Staff was great but needed an air conditioner in the main living area

Extremely quiet and 5 minutes away from everything

Location, amenities, comfort, cleanliness, communication was all good . I would definitely stay there again.

Great great great great great great great great great great great

My new home away from home! I will be back and look forward to staying at Casa Tamar again!

Very good use of space. I am an architect and could not help but to start to look for the flaws the moment I walked through the door. I am use to staying at big hotels and this was my first time deviating from the norm. I score the decorators very high. The service from the staff and security was above average. The amenities were in good order and the location was very safe and central to where I needed to be during the day. Compliments to the management team.

Casa Tamar was beautiful and everything the pictures show it to be! The on site hosts were incredibly kind in setting up a pickup for us at the airport and helping us get to get a driver to shuttle us to our meetings and around the city. It was a quiet area but close to the main streets. Nice apartment in a beautiful location and more quiet than had it been right on the main. The trip was a good balance of business and pleasure. Very nice having a driver to show us the history of the city (thanks Ricardo) Thank you!

I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Tamar Guest Apartments! I stayed during carnival week. We were able to arrange a pick up from the airport. The driver was great we also arranged other rides with him which ensured our safety. The property was great and sooooo secure. There is 24/7 doorman. Even the neighbors were super nice. And no one is even allowed in or out of the property without a key. Talk about security. We were able to stay in contact with all managers with ease. The location was so perfect, just a few blocks from mall, food stores, gas station!! I am already planning my next trip with them!!!

A great place to immerse into Kingston. With a few glitches the room was comfortable, the staff accessible and easy access to shopping. Highly recommend.

Excellent homestyle place to stay in Kingston, near many areas like Bob Marley Museum and Devon House. A+!!

This place is Amazing!!! I enjoyed every last minute of my stay. Casa Tamar felt exactly like home, no need to look anywhere else. Thank you Kevin and Ms. Thompson for your hospitality. You will be seeing me again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Please call before you arrive they're not on premises they charge $50 for cleaning T $20 extra for each night you're staying with the rate of the hotep. They want $20 with each night you'll be there I don't recommend it it is it is it is really nice but I will not go back to stay there.

As Always it was wonderful. When staying here i always feel like home. The house is fully loaded just as a good house will be. All you need to do is bring your clothes and food. Can you say "Home Sweet Home". I will stay here everytime. The service is always wonderful from being to end. I will be returning again.

Very comfortable and relaxing environment. Didn't have any problems with my place at all. Within distance of all areas of interest. Apartments exactly as pictured, super comfortable. Very helpful manager and accommodating staff. Would absolutely recommend to family and friends. My next trip I feel happy knowing I have one I can trust. Trust me, I spent months reading reviews, safety, security, cleanliness provide air hot water DVD. Of course I was out on the town but. It felt so great that I was super excited and anxious about my next trip. A + FYI. The 1 br apt I booked Expedia overbooked so the owner was nice enough to upgrade 2 a 2 br / no charge. Pics may not match. But this apts is on Expedia as well.

This is the second time I have tried using Hotels.com to find a corporate apartment and it was perfect for what I needed. It was clean, quiet and close to the business area of New Kingston. Lots of good eating places nearby, but a car is a nice to have.
