The Kutaya

Great spot to start and finish your Balinese holiday,,,,close to the airport but nice and quiet!! Friendly staff, nice pool, great food from the restaurant 😋 👌 😀

Nice place for overnight , close to airport. Walkable with google maps , Warm water takes a bit of time, staff is super friendly.

The best place to stay!!!

Great location! Close to the airport and very clean and the staff is friendly. Overall great experience.

The staff at The Kutaya were all amazing and friendly! Very welcoming! Everything was so clean and the pool was amazing! The staff were exceptional and very helpful!

This was our third stay at the hotel, and once again, we had a very good experience. The staff know us well by now, which makes everything feel even more welcoming and personal. The location is excellent — very convenient to the beach, eateries, supermarkets, and also quite close to the airport. It’s always a smooth and enjoyable stay. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Far from the busines expected hospitality the kindness of everyone was exceptional, small super confortable place

This is a older property, thankfully it hasn't been pulled down and a heartless hotel built in its place. The Balinese buildings are delightful, it is spotless and the staff are friendly. You can walk to the airport or up to Kuta easily. I discovered it when I was looking for somewhere reasonably priced for a layover and pleased that I did.

Comfortable

Pretty good place by the airport. I would probably.move the mops and cleaning materials out of site and it would feel alot nicer. The plants and pool was nice.

The room was mouldy but it was just a room to make our base for the day while we waited for out late night flight.

This was my third stay at the Kutaya-- it is so conveniently located near the airport (allow time for the driver to get lost, though, lol) that it is hard to pass up. Plus, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I will gladly stay again when I return to Bali.

Friendly staff and rooms were clean

Good spot for a layover

Friendly staff, good breakfasts, timely response to communications.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great hotel for a quick stay near the airport- this is my second visit and I've booked the third for the night before flying out of Bali. Food is good if you're pressed for time or are tired from just flying in.

Nice, convenient hotel near the airport. I will stay again when I fly in late or leave early. Clean room with nice staff.

The bed sheets were super dirty, the shower points out toward the door and cannot be adjusted downward, the shower also took 5 mins to heat up. The air conditioning was also very poor. Safe enough walk from the airport, only about 10 mins down some sketchy alleyways. Overall this was a pretty poor place to stay.

I'll go there again

Beautiful hotel. The room was big and clean and in a great location.

Wwonderful helpful staff woth great english and so so friendly

Very nice good pool clean room close to airport High recommend to stay here

This property close to Airport, just 10 minutes walking distance from airport pick up point.

Arrived into Bali late at night, excellent service and perfect for one night stay.

It was okay

Quick overnight stay convenient ten min walk from the airport. Cheap could breakfast. Basic but clean.

Great location close to the airport! The property managers on-site are very kind. The guesthouse is located within an old temple it seems. Gorgeous! Thank you!

I had a decent room for my first Bali night. It's close to the airport which was helpful after arriving late. What stands out is the courtyard, filled with elaborate temples (I think that's what they are - I'm too new to Bali to say for sure). Excellent Wi-Fi, measured at 150 Mbps.

Nice guest house. Nice pool, simple and good

First time I stayed in a bali guest house. Nothing like i have stayed in Bali before. I would not stay there again

If you are traveling on a budget and your concerns are safety, ac, running water, nice bed, and quiet. This place is well worth the cost

Close to airport but tucked away from Kuta main streets. Real pretty, real clean.

Check- in was confusing. Staff did later some extra service, and even did a birthday presentation for my wife.

Great value for money, walking distance to airport beach and, shops and dining places. The pool was clean, property aged but well maintained lovely staff

The staff were very friendly and helpful to me, especially as I was there so long and the food was really yummy breakfast and dinner. (I am the lady in room 7 who stayed for 2 weeks, if staff are reading this haha) Location was great and when I needed transport the staff helped me to book one. Thank you sooo much everyone! :) Would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Thanks to the friendly staff

Great

Breakfast buffet was just okay, internet connection was poor, even the smart tv constantly went offline. Room was nice and the bed was comfortable

For a basic hotel close to the airport this is a fine place to stay. The rooms are basic and the bathroom spartan but it was quiet and the air-con was cold. Bed was comfortable enough. It’s very close to the airport - a ten minute walk - making it ideal for a place to sleep between flights. Food from the restaurant was delicious. Overall not a fancy place but definitely good enough for a rest.

People are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are pretty and clean. The property and pool are so pretty. It is off the main road so it feels so nice to be tucked away, yet easy to walk out to the busy area.

We stayed at The Kutaya for 2 weeks and thought it was wonderful. The staff were always lovely, kind and helpful. Breakfast was provided and yummy. The lobby is manned 24 hrs a day. Lipping Mall is around 500m away and the beach is around 200m. There are no kettles in the room but hot water is available in the lobby anytime. It is near the airport so very convenient and spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay again.

Whoever wrote in his/her review that the hotel is in walking distance must be a surprime athlete. There is no way you could walk and find the place in some back alley. The hotel is old and surely could do with some renovation. The staff was very friendly.

Only stayed for 1 night and staff was extremely kind, pleasant and helpful. We got a delicious welcome drink and were very warmly greeted. Bathroom is a bit run down and could use some work and there were quite a few mosquitos in the room as well as a lizard. However, since we were only there for a night we didn’t even bring it up and the staff was so lovely I’m sure they would have helped out to make amends. * We noticed some reviews talked about fending off aggressive dogs to get to the property and I would like to note that we encountered these dogs and they are not aggressive nor do they really interact with tourists unless you engage them. They were very cute and fun to watch play

The property was perfectly fine for one night as we had to catch an early flight the next day. The pool looked nice, but we didn’t swim in it. The room was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. There were simple restaurants very close.

It’s a great affordable place to stay within walking distance of the airport, beach and main shopping areas.

Recommended a guide to me who ridiculously overcharged me - very upsetting as recommended by the hotel which I thought would be trustworthy. If they ever refer you for tour information to a man called Tom (Mr Thomas), do not use him.

great hotel, very friendly, arrived late at almost 2am and got greeted with cold welcome ice tea

This is perfect if you are needing a close place to airport. The rooms are spacey and clean. A/C works great. Small fridge. Walkable to beach and a mall. Breakfast available. Water station for filling your bottle.

Tidyness of the room

Easy and pleasant stay for our last night in Bali. Close to airport so very convenient.

A very pleasant place to stay, tucked away in quiet alleys ; the many Hindu shrines would not be everyone's taste, but agreeable people who run it, and really quite easy to walk to the airport, both domestic and international terminals. And a pool ! Also they have scooters to rent out ...

I had a really nice time at this location. Room was clean and the staff were extremely accommodating friendly and helpful.

The walk from the airport was very tricky and I don’t recommend walking alone. Maps was way off! The property itself was fantastic. A/C freezing, wifi, breakfast, hospitality, grounds all beautiful. Also very peaceful.

Comfortable room . Food good . Staff friendly. Close to airport . Very good value for money

Good for a night, just to get some rest. I paid for the breakfast included. Fried rice & fruit plate was delicious! I checked in around 1 or 2 am. They helped me correct my booking for the night I arrived & the host was very sweet. Room is basic, I got the deluxe but there wasn’t anything deluxe about it. But he that’s what you get for $26 😄

I like people they are friendly

We checked in around 12pm (midnight) and were greeted with welcome drinks. The staff were so attentive, and kind. Our room was one of the best we have stayed in across our backpacking journey over South East Asia. Really good breakfast options too - 3 menus to pick from! We had an omelette and a banana pancake. Would recommend. Great value for money!

I got in at 1 am and Denpasar is a big city and it's bali. Kutaya is a small hotel but it's also a temple. It is not fancy but the rate was unbelievable and I saw it mentioned on YouTube. If you're looking for a resort type place this is not it but if you're looking for a reasonable rate in a very cool, interesting place I highly recommend and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Minutes from the airport. I would have walked but it was midnight.

Lovely garden setting. Lovely pool. Very close to the airport- walking distance.

My husband and I stayed here right before our flight to Manila. It is very conveniently located to the airport. It’s also close to Kuta beach. We rented a moped for a few hours to ride around the area and watch the sunset at the beach. The room itself had all the basics, no frills lol. It was clean. The premises were also very beautiful. The only downside is you have to walk a good while from the Main Street to get to the hotel. We felt very safe walking around the area.

We stayed here for one night as it is very near to airport.recommended for small stay if you have to catch flight or just lay over.near is the Market and restaurants.room and bathroom was clean.AC was slow but at night room was cold. Overall manageable for one day

Great location for being in vicinity of the airport. Nice walk to the beach, restaurants nearby and very relaxing grounds. Would readily stay here again. Super helpful and friendly staff!

I didn’t stay here for long, but the staff was up waiting for me after my flight was delayed and they were super helpful and accommodating with getting me on my way the next morning. The hotel is super convenient to the airport, my room was simple and comfy. If I planned to stay in the area, I would definitely come back

Hotel facilitates are not as described. I had to store my luggage with an outside agency instead. There was more than enough room at the hotel for one bag but the management refused to help. The hotel is also located in a dimly lit area. You will need to walk down a minimum of two dark alleys to get to the hotel. Be careful late at night.

I booked this hotel for three separate stays because of its close location to the airport and because of the luggage storage it offered. The plan was to use this hotel as a base and go off and see a couple of islands and return here each time for a night or two. When I asked if I could leave my luggage at the hotel while I was away for a few nights at first they said no, then they said I could but for a fee. This is disgraceful and unprofessional. It states on the website that they offer storage facilitates. The fact that I had already paid in full for my future bookings made no difference. Access to the hotel is down a couple of dark alleys. Be careful late at night. Location is good for the airport and the room is a good size. If you do stay here, just hope you dont have any problems. The chances are the management will not help you.

Love it

This was the perfect place to stay before my flight out. I had a very early flight and had no issue walking to the airport. The pool was nice and just what I needed after a busy trip. I wouldn’t spend my entire Bali vacation at that hotel, but for a night before or after a flight it was perfect and a good deal.

At 12.30am we were greeted by smiling happy staff, meant a lot as flight delays were tiring and the staff were a ray of sunshine.

Very nice for price

Beautiful garden, welcoming hosts

I booked a transit room, i messaged this hotel to confirm that I can check in at 12, they have read the message, got to hotel and was told in limited english that check in is 2pm and was directed to a sign, tried to explain situation to no avail. would not stay here again

Incredibly good value for money. Small but very nice hotel or Bali style resort (with a pool and chill zone and everything). It’s within walking distance from the airport, so you can just ignore all those taxi mafia harassments on arrival

My room smelled like damp and there was a damp stain on the wall. Other than that it's was ok, although I wouldn't want to stay there more than a couple of nights. Pros: it was quiet, had the only properly functioning ac I've come across in Bali and in a great location. Cons: damp smell and English not great. For example, I wanted to get a coffee (bear in mind this is way after breakfast time). Me 'can I get a coffee please?' Confused looks, furrowing of brows. 'no, your room does not come with breakfast'. Me 'yes I know, can I get a coffee please?'. 'No, no breakfast. You have to pay.' Me: 'OK, no problem. Can I have a coffee please?'. Still looks unsure. The lady who I think must own the place comes out, 'you want to buy a coffee?'. Me 'yes please'. Lady 'coffee stuff is over there, you can get it yourself'... For me this wasn't great customer service and was far more complicated than it needed to be.

Bathrooms were stinking. Room was average. Staff was good.

Great location, great front desk staff, surprisingly not noisy although being walking distance to the airport. Will definately stay again when passing through Denpasar

Very convenient location for the airport, a local massage or food. Don't expect too much, but is pretty good value for money.

Close Proximity to the airport for early flight. Surprisingly lovely gardens and pool

Very difficult to find. Do not walk from the airport to this hotel at night-you will never find it

The bathroom smells. Although the staff is very nice.

close to airport.

wonderful place to stay, pool is lovely, temple on the grounds are beautiful. Hotel is clean, nice rooms and very friendly staff. Location is close to airport..... down a alley but felt very safe and convenient.... we walked to the shopping area at night, it took about 5 minutes. would definitely stay ere again

Poorly maintained and cracked facilities. Bed linen is worn.

Very simple room, great breakfast. Our room was very quiet and wifi worked well.

Had a late flight arriving, so stayed here for the night. Was comfortable. The property is really nice. Rooms are kind of basic, but comfortable.

The place so peaceful full of blessings from all the temples around it the staff are wonderful and so helpful they really care about your comfort and cleanliness the unit was spacious and modern very comfortable and clean they have a great cleaning staff she is wonderful and I love to thank everyone that made my trip to Bali relaxing and wonderful I recommend this hotel to everyone who loves peace and quiet

This hotel is combined with temples on the same parcel of land which is very unique. The room was very small with nowhere to sit other than in the bed. Good for one or two nights only. Access to hotel is via very narrow laneways big enough for small taxi but it is two way!! Staff and limited food menu very good. Fifi in front counter makes the visit worthwhile.

very central clean frendly spoke good English enjoyedw stayw

We only stayed one night at this hotel as we had an early flight out of Denpasar so our experience was just fleeting. However, I can say that the location was very quiet, the hotel was charming with various deities and shrines on the grounds, it was spotlessly clean, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and we were graciously welcomed with a complimentary cold drink and a warm smile from the receptionist who was expecting us and had all our details to hand - I was very impressed with the efficiency and organisation. Our room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable indeed - not to mention absolutely enormous. Sadly we didn't have a chance to use the pool, but it looked very inviting. It was a shame we couldn't have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We booked 5 rooms for family and friends. We arrived late after midnight and checked in with no problem. The night shift staff was helpful. Breakfast was good. The rooms are clean, but the bathroom in our room stinks from the drain. The pool is nice. All in all, a good stay.

Great place to stop-over on the way to or from the airport. We were only there for 6 hours but the bed was comfortable and TV had plenty of channels. Didn’t get a chance to swim but the pool looked nice and clean. Walking distance to Lippo and Discovery Mall.

We only stayed for 1 night and it was to be close to the airport. It was perfect for that amd it was a very comfortable stay.

Nice room within walking distance to the airport. The only negative thing I can say is that the WiFi was horrible.

Near to the airport, room is fine, good working airco unit, nice pool, short walk to restaurants, shops and beach.

Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Close to airport and shopping centre, beach only 10 minutes walk. Great for a short stay and transit passengers. Would gladly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nice, rooms are clean and comfy (exactly as showing on the website), staff are friendly. The only downside is that the addess is not correct, that's why it's not easy to find! The correct address is Jalan Dewi Sartika Gg satelit 5. It is still walking distance to Kuta and the main street Kartika plaza.

Very clean place, and good service

Stayed here one night because of proximity to airport. Friendly staff, cute temple inside, great water pressure of shower. Besides those pluses the hotel was not very clean. We picked it because of its cleanliness ratings but didn't meet our expectations. Also location close to Kuta and airport but the actual hotel is in a pretty dark steet.

Short stay for us! But a beautiful place!

Good place to stay
