We loved the views from the large top floor balcony. The swimming pool , although small , was perfect for the 6 apartments in the block. Poolside sunbeds always available. We loved the walking opportunities presented by Cami de Cavalls trail network around the coastline

The steps to access the property are steep and a public right of way. As such , they are not part of the property, not in great condition, irregular and in places descent can be precarious. (Please bear in mind if with children or have limited mobility) There was a reasonable selection of restaurants given the smallish size of Cala Galdana , but a lack of bars

The stand out elements of this apartment are the gorgeous heated pool, which we had to ourselves on a lot of days, and the huge balcony with an amazing view, where we could sit in the evening and listen to the music from local hotels. Marcella was a very attentive and helpful host.

We were there during a heatwave and the smaller bedroom felt a little uncomfortable in the heat, although we had a good fan. Smaller bedroom could also benefit from an extra plug socket.

We loved our stay here. It was clean, spacious and comfortable in a great position close to everything in the resort. What stood out for us the most was the gorgeous view of the bay from the balcony: the host Marcella's helpful advice and support; the great pool; the access you have, if you like walking, to other stunning beaches. We used the local buses to visit the towns of Mahon and Citudella which were both lovely. We very much hope to be back.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 7 nuits chez Marcela. Tout s'est parfaitement bien passé. L'appartement est idéalement situé, très bien équipé et nous n'avons manqué de rien. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la piscine, qui a été un vrai plus pendant notre séjour. Marcela a été une hôte très attentionnée, disponible et aux petits soins du début à la fin. Nous recommandons cette location sans hésiter et y reviendrions avec grand plaisir !

Our apartment was comfortable and had a large verandah with views to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and made good use of the swimming pool. There is a shared room where the washing machine (which we didn't use) and things to borrow/use for the beach/pool (small portable chairs, inflatables, etc). We did a lot of cooking and eating at the apartment. The apartment is very nice and had pretty much everything we needed. There was a heatwave while we were there and despite no aircon, we kept cool by keeping the shutters closed during the day, and opening the windows and using the portable fans at night. The apartment is a short walk down steps to the town and the beach. There is a small supermarket at the bottom of the hill, and another one at the top of the hill. We went to Ferreries one day to go to a larger supermarket. We ate out once, at the restaurant that our host, Marcella, recommended, which I would also recommend: Lacala Pizzeria (my friend had pizza and I had a non-pizza dish). A very tastefully designed restaurant. Our hostess, Marcella, was very kind and very helpful. Definitely worth exploring the beaches either side of the town beach (by foot, using the paths along the cliffs). I particularly loved Cala Mitjana, which was 30 minutes walk from the apartment. I would stay at the apartment again but I wouldn't stay in this town again (see below).

Apartment: * The pots and pans could do with a refresh. And there weren't enough small bowls for leftovers. We had to use cups and glasses. * The bidet pipe came off one day (we were using to wash our sandy feet) and water leaked all over the bathroom floor. I noticed there were splashes of excrement on the wall and on the floor behind the bidet. It had clearly happened before and not been thoroughly cleaned. Otherwise the apartment was pretty clean. * We had a later check-out and my friend met the cleaners who were very cross we had not emptied the bin. There were no instructions in the room about what to do with rubbish so they could hardly complain! Very rude of them! And we had been taking all our recycling to the large town recycling bins we found at the bottom of the hill so it's not like we were being deliberately lazy. Town: * The town seems to have a problem with a strong sulphur smell. To me it smelt like there was sewage being leaked into the river. I did do a Google search and it seems to be a problem that has been going on for years. There was also a brown scum on the surface of the seawater in the cove; it was visible from above (see photo taken from the Melía Cala Galdana hotel). Not sure what it is but I didn't swim from the town beach again after that. One night the sulphur smell was really overpowering in the early hours, and I had to cover my nose with the bedsheet. Foul. * There's music played from all the large hotels (3) every night. But they do switch it all off at 10:30 PM on the dot. * This is very much a tourist town so if you want a place where locals co-exist with tourists and there are lots of lovely shops like bakeries, boutique shops, etc, this isn't the place to come. Which is why I wouldn't visit again (plus the awful sulphur smell).

Nous avons adoré l'emplacement, la vue, le calme et la piscine et la mise à disposition de matériel pour la piscine et la plage. Marcella a été de très bon conseil et a notre disposition tout le séjour ! Idéal pour un séjour en famille!

Le seul point où il y a une possibilité d'amélioration est la climatisation. Toutefois les 3 ventilateurs très efficaces ont été très appréciés!

Az elhelyezkedés nagyon jó, jó kiindulópont kirándulásokhoz, strandok felfedezéséhez. Minden van, éttermek, boltok, de kicsi léptékben, ami nagyon emberközelivé teszi a helyet. Aki csak strandolni szeretne, szuper számára is!

We have had a wonderful week here. The apartment had everything we needed and was very spacious. The balcony was huge and had an amazing, uninterrupted view over Cala Galdana. The pool was lovely. The apartment is well located, within a short walk of supermarkets, the beach and great restaurants. Marcella was a fabulous host and made our stay extra memorable.

Comodidad, limpieza y equipamiento del apartamento.

Las vistas al mar eran parciales. Había un árbol demasiado alto que quitaba la mitad d la visibilidad. Esperábamos una mejor vista .

La vue, la situation géographique, la terrasse, la piscine, la proximité des commerces, plages, balades... Appartement bien équipé : transat, store, produits de salle de bain, grand four...

Manque un peu d'éclairage dans la chambre à deux lits, juste une applique qui n'éclaire pas beaucoup. Un lave vaisselle pourrait être un plus. Il y a beaucoup de marches pour accéder à l'appartement, c"est important de le savoir.

Дуже привітна та завжди допоможе в будь якій ситуації. Щиро вдячні за чудовий відпочинок саме в цих апартаментах.

O apartamento tem uma otima varanda, com mesa de estar e espreguiçadeiras, com uma vista incrivel! Tem uma pequena cozinha mas que é suficiente e está bem equipada. O apartamento estava muito limpo e apesar de simples é bastante confortável. A nossa anfitriã foi super simpatica e disponivel. A Cala Galdana está muito bem localizada pois a praia é otima e para quem gostar de caminhar pode fazer tanto para Este como para Oeste caminhadas maravilhosas pelo Cami de cavals que dá acesso a pequenas praias paradisíacas, consideradas as praias mais bonitas da ilha. Passamos uma otima semana de férias!

The apartments were excellent. Very well located, 5 minutes from the beach, very comfortable and all the kitchen facilities needed. The apartment had a balcony overlooking the whole bay. Marcella,who managed the apartments was very kind and helpful. The swimming pool and swimming pool area were perfect.

Some of the steps, outside the apartment complex, but leading up to it, were poorly maintained.

We had an enjoyable stay in this apartment. It is big, comfortable, has a big terrace with spectacular views, kitchen very well equipped. The host is very helpful, taking good care of the guests. The location is great to reach any part of the island. I can only recommend this place.

Everything about Encanto del mar is wonderful: the location, the friendly and helpful staff, the facilities and equipment. Walking distance from the beach, shops and restaurants. Perfect for a family holiday.

Clean, had everything we needed and comfortable beds, really beautiful views across the bay. Wonderful host! Marcella is so helpful and kind, and really tried to be as flexible as possible about check in/out even during peak season. Also great to have the airport transfer option.

It was an extremely hot week so air conditioning would have been a plus. The steps can be tough in the heat. However I would definitely still stay here again!

Air conditioning would have been nice. The fans worked well but the end of the week was very hot and air conditioning would have been better for sleeping.

The view was stunning. Very good locatiin near shops, restuarants, beach. The pool was great. Terrace on our apartmemt was large with dining table , sunbeds and loads of space. Marcella was a lovely host, extremely helpful. Really enjoyed out stay.

There are lots of steps so if you have mobility issues this is not for you.

Marcella is a brilliant host - friendly, helpful and welcoming and readily and kindly responded to all my questions/messages ahead of our stay too. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and spacious. The location is fabulous. Yes, many steps to climb up - but the view makes it worthwhile! And as the week went on, our leg muscles adjusted! The music from the hotels is rather noisy, but they are finished by 11pm and it wasn’t every night, nor did it go on for a long time. The beach is stunning and only took five mins to walk to. We hired a car from a local company (recommended by Marcella) literally round the corner, and we were always able to somewhere to park a few mins walk away. Well stocked supermarkets all just a few mins walk away and plenty of places to eat nearby too. We appreciated the use of the washing machine by the pool, and that Marcella was ready to give tips and help with local knowledge should we need it. We would love to return to Menorca some day and would definitely come back and stay here! Thank you, Marcella!

Nothing - for us it was brilliant. A consideration for very hot sunny months would be lack of air conditioning, but sea breeze is likely all year round due to hill location and good fans available.

The apartment was in a great location with a stunning view from the balcony. You could walk to several beaches, local shops and to lots of bars and restaurants. Our host was very helpful and friendly.

It would have been nice to have had air conditioning as it was quite hot at night.

The views are spectacular. Our host, Marcella, was amazing and took care of all our needs. The apartment has all the necessary goods for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed staying there and would not hesitate going back.

Location was excellent

Balcony was extremely large and never tired of the wonderful view. We spent most meals there. There is a table and chairs, lounge chairs and parasol.

Lack of air con was a pain but only on one or two of the hottest days, when it was extremely hot. 32 degrees was no problem for us.

I would recommend this accommodation. The location is great, in the beautiful bay of Cala Galdana, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. You need to climb some stairs, but the views from the apartment are excellent. The accommodation provides you with everything you need (equipped kitchen, umbrella for the beach). The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. The terrace area is big and equipped with chairs, sun beds and umbrella; nice to enjoy breakfast with the view.

You could hear some noises from the village during the night, but nothing serious. The accommodation does not have A/C, so it can get a little warm during the night, but we did not mind.

Stunning views,modernised clean and spacious apartment,excellent communication from Marcella who kept in touch throughout the holiday, no complaints at all , will book again !
