Das Castello del Sole ist eine wahres Paradies und eine Oase für die Seele. Im Aussen stilvolle Gemütlichkeit gepaart mit unaufdringlichem Luxus und so viel Liebe in der Ausführung die einem auf Schritt und Tritt und überall auf dem riesigen gepflegten Gelände begegnet: Allen voran die Menschen die das Hotel betreiben und den Aufenthalt unvergesslich machen

Direct lake views, an apple trees within the gardens, big landscaped grounds, the spa, and a beautiful courtyard at the heart of the hotel the service was excellent.

the sunbeds by the lake. They weren’t comfortable at all, had no cushions, and felt very basic. This was especially disappointing because one of the main reasons I booked the hotel was to relax by the lake. The second disappointment was the Michelin-starred restaurant. The food was below my expectations, and I shared this feedback with the waiter.

Staff was great, i had initially booked for three nights and they accomodated only a two night stay as we had a personal issue without charging us. True top notch service. Amazing facilities. We have a 1 yo son and they were all super friendly. We will definately go back and make it a routing weekend visit for us during summer!

Unfortunately, the bathroom of the room above us did have a water leakage during the whole first night of our stay with significant noise which we had difficulty to identify.

Um es kurz und knapp zu halten: Dieses Resort ist das Beste, was es in der Schweiz an Fünfsternehäusern gibt. Noch selten habe ich mich so gut erholt, wurde derart umsichtig umsorgt, hatte alle Annehmlichkeiten, welche meinen Aufenthalt zu einem wahren Erlebnis machten. Wenn in der Schweiz Ferien, dann nur noch im Castelle del Sole Beach Resort.

An diesem Resort gibt es nichts, aber auch gar nichts auszusetzen.

Das Castello del Sole wurde mit dem besten Preis- Leistungsverhältnis und als bestes 5 Sterne Haus der Schweiz ausgezeichnet. Es hat diesen Preis hoch verdient. Noch nie haben wir uns derart wohl gefühlt, wie in diesem Haus.

In diesem Haus gibt es tatsächlich nichts auszusetzen.

Super Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offen lässt! Trotz vollem Haus, hat man das Gefühl, im riesengrossen Park, fast alleine zu sein! Auch das Abendessen kulinarisch ein Erlebnis. Super Betten.

True five star service, professional and warm.

Das Castello del Sole ist ein aussergewöhnlich schönes Hotel, das keine Wünsche offenlässt. Die Atmosphäre ist ruhig und erholsam. Perfekt, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der traumhafte Spa-Bereich, in dem man wunderbar abschalten kann. Die Zimmer waren äusserst sauber und gepflegt, ebenso wie das gesamte Hotel. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Das Hotel ist ein alteingesessenes Fünfsternehotel mit einem fantastischen Park und Seeanstoss. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das überaus freundliche und kompetente Personal macht das wett. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Eine sanfte Renovation würde dem Haus guttun.

Smelly hallway in front of the room, stinky carpet, Few little details were not right, like loosy door handle etc. Little soft bed and bed linnen quality.

Amazing authentic place for physical and mental retreat. Spacious and yet cosy. Amazing rooms. Great food. Scenic.

Hotel is claiming to be pet friendly but has strange and very restrictive policy for dogs. To avoid frustration dog owners should read it on the hotel's website before booking a room.

Excellent upmarket facility. Fantastic service by all staff. Its a premium experience at a premium price, but its good value considering the exceptional offering. Beautiful location and amazing premises.

There is not much to say about this place it is probably on of the best places to stay at the Lago Maggiore. Everything is perfect. Very friendly and professional staff.

The rooms facing to the back are noisy.

Beautiful hotel with huge territory. Friendly personnel, great food and most comfortable beds. Beach is also really nice. We are definitely coming back again.

Only downside is that despite the fact that the hotel is announced as dog-friendly one can only have the dog in the room, lobby and on 2 sunbeds hidden away in the corner next to spa. We should have checked detailed rules before booking as it turns out all „dog-friendly“ hotels in Ascona are following the same policy. Personnel did their best to make our stay with the dog more pleasant, but next time we are coming without him for sure. If you have a choice I would advise to leave your 4-legged friends at home.

The head waiter of the main restaurant eyed us critically and reacted gruffly to the fact that we had no reservation for the restaurant. Yet numerous tables remained unoccupied on that night.

Ein kleines Paradies in der italienischen Schweiz. Mit super freundlichem und zugewandten Personal, das alles möglich macht, sehr gutem Essen, eigenem Seezugang und netten Zimmern. Schöne Bar, tolles Sternerestaurant. Gerne immer wieder.

Beautiful setting, great accommodations and very friendly staff.

We were under the impression our certified service dog would be able to accompany us throughout the facilities. Unfortunately, he was not allowed in any of the restaurants with the exception of one lounge area. Therefore, we could not enjoy all the beautiful dining areas at the facility. This is just about the first time we have paid for this level of accommodations where our very certified service dog could not accompany us. We would like to return, but this was a very big disappointment.

Sehr schönes Hotelresort mit riesigem Park und direktem Seeanstoss. Wir haben selten so nettes, freundliches und motiviertes Personal erlebt. Fantastischer Service. Ausgezeichnete Küche, Halbpension lohnt sich sehr. Gut ausgestattetes Gym. Einziger Minuspunkt war unser Zimmer (221): das hat keinen 5* Standard. Recht klein, das Bad geradezu winzig, nur Badewanne mit Brause und Glaswand bis zur Hälfte der Wanne. Man musste sehr achtgeben, damit es keine Überschwemmungen gab….. Grosser Balkon, die Sitzgelegenheiten darauf könnten aber Kissen vertragen. Das Zimmer war ziemlich hellhörig. Sehr gut fanden wir die Mückengittertüre zum Balkon! Die Flure und Treppen im ganzen Hotel fanden wir ziemlich aus der Zeit gefallen - hat uns sehr an die 70er Jahre erinnert. Da wir ohne Auto unterwegs sind, war der Gratisshuttle in der Mercedes-Limousine sehr willkommen - toller Service! Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner und angenehmer Aufenthalt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Fantastic hotel to get away in a stunning setting. Staff v welcoming and efficient. Highly recommend.

Ein wunderschöner Ort um sich im grossen Garten oder am Privatstrand zu erholen. Mein Einzelzimmer mit grossem Balkon war zwar bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber und gut gepflegt. Sehr aufmerksamer Zimmerservice, zweimal täglich, gratis Mineralwasser und Nespresso Kapseln (zweimal täglich nachgefüllt). Gutes Restaurant mit schöner Terasse, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüffet. Keine versteckten Nebenkosten. Jederzeit wieder.

Das Hotel bietet alles was man sich wünscht! Von der Ausstattung über das Personal bis zum Essen ist alles einfach perfekt.

Noch nie so einen genialen Service erlebt. Persönlich vom Hoteldirektor begrüsst und verabschiedet, das ganze Personal extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit, absolut geniale Lage und Ausstattung.

Der Aufenthalt war herrvorragend ! Man braucht die Hotel - Anlage gar nicht zu verlassen. Alles ist vorhanden. Sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal !

It is one of very few places belonging to an exclusive ligue of incomparable, flawless retreats where everything is created and done to perfection, leaving blissful and lasting memories. Impeccable cleanliness and service, subdued and homely luxury contributing for complete relaxation; Truly great spa with various hydro-massage pools, saunas, steam bath, excellent gym; swimming pool. Fantastic grounds on the sunny side of the shore of Lago Maggiore, huge manicured park, own orchard with apple trees heavy with fruit. Great (Italian) food, a Michelin star restaurant, reservation necessary.

Absolutely is perfect at this hotel. The grounds are unbelievable. Large garden. Very kid-friendly. Perfect playground and pool. Food was fantastic. Definitely coming back.
