Very convenient location right in the city center, included parking right at the hotel, friendly stuff at reception and bar. Nice modern & clean spaces: lobby, breakfast, terrace and garden.

Ok for one night….. We booked last minute and got the last room available. We didn’t expect much but a clean room is always a priority. However, we found lots of dust and spider webs at spaces the cleaning lady’s probably overlooked for a longer time period. The outdated bathroom is in general really in need of a renovation. The outdated shower still has a high shower tray, the water didn’t get really warm and offered only a little water coming out. At check out we didn’t got asked about our stay. The hotel has open potential & the shared spaces are really nice.

Incredibly beautiful setting, clean and well presented property. Absolutely fantastic location. Staff was helpful and accomodating throughout.

Außergewöhnliche Lage, nur ein paar Schritte in die wunderschönen Gassen von Malcesine und beim Frühstück (auch das hätte besser nicht sein können) sitzt man nur durch den Garten getrennt mit bester Sicht auf den See. Sehr nettes Personal! Alles wirklich wunderbar!

We visited in Sept 2026. The location is perfect provided you are fully mobile as the path from the town to the hotel is steep (though only 100m). Although people walk past all the time it is much less busy than the hotels in the town as the castle forms a natural barrier to stop people walking past. There is a small beach right in front of the hotel. It is shingle (so you need footwear) but allows easy access for swimming. The hotel itself was generally excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed: special mention to Salvatore and Toni. The restaurant had stunning views over the lake and the food was delicious. It is really an adult 30-70 age range hotel. In Sept the weather varied between 25-32 degrees. There were lots of sunbeds. We stayed as two couples with one room on the upper floor and one on the ground floor. The ground floor had a garden view, but in reality you could see the lake and there was very easy access to the sundeck area. That room (93) had good air con and was in very good condition. Our friends were upstairs (133 I think) and that room seemed a little dated with ineffective air con. I stayed in Malcesine twice now and if I was to return again this is the hotel I would chose to stay in.

There was one major issue in the ground floor room (not the upper floor). I cannot understand what would possess anyone to design a bathroom with a full length 1 metre wide glass window that allows your partner to watch you in the bathroom. Yes, there is a pull-down blind, but it has an inch gap all the way down both sides (and the cleaners seem to be instructed to leave them in the up position each day?). Please board these ridiculous windows up unless you want bad reviews. Minor niggles in room 93 that didn't bother us so we didn't report at the time: neither the bathroom door or the safe in the room lock. A couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes or towels would be helpful.

We loved everything about this hotel ! The location is fantastic with amazing views of the lake. All the staff were welcoming, helpful and kind. If you can, book a Living Suite / Room, this is in a separate block but very near the main hotel, the views are stunning !

The location was excellent, nice private beach and access to the lake. The staff were amazing, welcoming and friendly.

I arrived on the motorcycle and although there is a covered garage, the bike had to stay outside. Also the room air condition was on a bit on a noisy side, rather disturbing during the night.

Il materiale e i colori delle scale che portano ai piani. Oltre che trovare la scelta cromatica un po’ triste e datata, trovo che non si abbini al resto della struttura.

Sehr komfortabel und schön eingerichtet. Das personal ist aufmerksam. Parkplätze vor der Tür. Das Frühstück ist absolut empfehlenswert. Die Küche ist top. Auch die Weine. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Terrasse und direkten Zugang zum Meer.

Der Zugang zum Meer ist sehr steinig.

Die Lage war sehr schön und sehr zentral. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr viel Auswahl beim Frühstücks Buffet. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit

Мы остановились в дополнительном здании. Номер огромный, места предостаточно. Вид из номера вне всяких похвал! Наверное, за этим и стоит сюда приезжать! Кондиционер работает исправно, в номере тихо, кровать удобная, ванная очень большая. Парковка удобная, просторная. Бонусом для проживающих в этом здании есть кофемашина, вода и лед на нулевом этаже, можно брать в неограниченном количестве. Очень удобно, что есть свой пляж, лежаки и полотенца. Места хватало всем. Завтрак очень разнообразный, можно заказать омлет, который готовят тут же. Самому можно сделать себе свежевыжатый сок из овощей и фруктов, просто супер! Персонал приветливый, отвечает на все вопросы.

В ванне могло быть больше косметических принадлежностей, например, зубные щетки с пастой. По итогу, было пару тюбиков с гелем для душа, который и так есть в ванне. В отеле есть возможность пользоваться надувными лодками и сапбордами, о чем персонал нам не сказал. Мы заметили это только на пляже в последний вечер и уже не смогли воспользоваться.

Hunde (,wenn auch kleine) im Hotel,am Strand und im Wasser.Obwohl es verboten ist geht man mit den Hunden ins Wasser. Sonnenschirme stehen fast alle schief,Die Schirmhülsen sollten einbetoniert werden,dann wäre das Problem gelöst.

We loved the ease of staying at hotel Castello. You could have breakfast lunch and dinner here or take a short walk into town. We loved the lake side lounging and the location of the hotel.

The hotel location is fantastic right by the lake and the town and for us next to the castle where we were attending a wedding. Our view from the balcony looked onto the lake & the castle. Rooms were nice & spotlessly clean as was the hotel. Gold star to all the friendly staff & cleaners who worked very hard. Breakfasts were great such a big choice we were spoilt & such a great view over the lake. Another high point the Pina Colada's as they were full of pineapple & so creamy. We would recommend staying there.

It was no issue for us but for some it maybe as the walk up to the town was a short steep hill but no different to walking around Malcesine.

The location is absolutely fantastic right on the water's edge and 1 minute from the old town. The breakfast buffet is super delicious with everything your heart desires. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit too. An extra plus is the free use of supboards and canoes.

Sanitär Anlage alt und Toilette roch nach Urin ständig obwohl sauber gemacht wurde...Duschkabine sehr klein, am Wochenende ist ein Lokal in der nähe sehr laut (Musik) so dass man nicht gut einschlafen konnte. Essen in eigenem Restaurant viel zu teuer für die Qualität. Ich würde von dem Fisch abraten da sehr fad und fantasielos zubereitet.

Top Mitarbeitende in allen Bereichen. Sehr gepflegte Aussenanlage. Restaurant Spitzenklasse. Alles in allem ein Top Hotel.

Etwas wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten im Zimmer. Im Badezimmer sollte es mehr Möglichkeiten zum Aufhängen geben.

Es un Hotel que tiene una ubicacion Inmejorable y exclusiva, sobre el lago y a 100m de donde comenza el casco Historico de Marcesine., justo debajo del Castillo, tiene un Parking como pocos lugares, cubierto y descubierto. Tiene un Restaurante bien valorado y con vistas al lago. Las vistas dede las habitaciones que dan sobre el lago, dejan un recuerdo imborrable.

Las habitaciones, la nuestra era con vista sobre el lago, son de dimensiones resucidas, aunque con un peque;o balconcito, necesitaba trabajar con mi notebook y casi no tenia lugar para mover el mouse. La conexion a internet fue caotica, no pude trabajar, se cortaba a cada instante, es mas me produjo un problema en el controlador del Wi-Fi. Fui a comentarle a un empleado de la recepcion, me dijo que el no tenia que hubiera problemas, y que seguro se debia al mal tiempo, (habia pleno sol.) Me dijo una tonteria total, si el empleado no sabe que no hable, pero que no invente, desconoce que el tiempo no afecta, desconoce que la comunicacion llega al hotel por medio de fibra optica, y que el hotel la distribuye por medio de su red. Por favor si no saben que no hablen, ademas no fue muy cordial.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Rooms were large and comfortable the living suite was fantastic with a beautiful balcony with stunning view. Modern, clean and quiet. With comfortable beds. Breakfast was awesome and the staff really made the difference so warm and helpful and friendly. We went up the entirety of lake garda and can't imagine a better town or location on the lake or a better hotel. Definitely recommend staying here dont hesitate! Also take the ferry to Limone such an adorable town!! Get the lemon ice cream and all other things lemon, so delicious!!

Location next to the castle gave a stunning view over the lake. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had.. great varied selection and constantly replenished

The parking wasn’t easy to reach driving down the pedestrian road.. but directions provided were very clear.

Hotel Castello. I have a lot to say about this place. It is an incredible gem directly on the edge of lake Garda with an incredible view of the malcesine castle. It is a short walk to the centre. The atmosphere is almost inexplicable, other than to say that when you walk in the friendly faces are everywhere they genuinely care that you enjoy your time not only in the hotel but also on the lake and in malcesine. We stayed in a junior suite for our wedding and it was perfection, we specifically booked it for the colour as it matched our wedding colours. The balcony looking over the lake and castle, the views are just perfection. They have sun loungers on your balcony which for us was perfect because we were wedding planning and had a busy time the day after we were able to stay in our hotel room (which was decorated by the staff when we got home from our big day) and still enjoy the views and sun in peace and quiet in the best place. The room was always spotlessly clean, in normal hotel you know cleaning time is 10am and if your in your room it doesn’t get cleaned that day, but in Castello no matter what time we left the room we always came back to a spotless room. It was almost like magic. The hotel is obviously based around the lake and the castle and they offer paddle boards, a beach side area with plenty of sun loungers you don’t have to worry about missing out. The breakfast was beautiful, fresh omelettes, fresh fruits, yoghurt, breads, meats, coffee, juice and if you don’t like there selection they provide fresh fruit for you to make your own with their juicer. The staff are so friendly whenever you enter the hotel they will always chat with you about current events or their interests. Super friendly and welcoming people who are always there to serve you and make your experience the best possible. For the money, we paid it was well worth it! We will definitely be back!

Bad etwas in die Jahre gekommen

The location was excellent, easy access to the sun loungers and lake, and a short walk into the centre of Malcesine. The staff were very attentive and friendly, special mention to Toni. The food was really good - the dinner menu was compact yet varied and excellent quality and good value for money with an extensive wine list.

Absolutely beautiful location; easy walking distance to anything you'd want to do in Malcesine. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff is attentive. They have a lovely grassy area with lounge chairs near a small beach (the lake was cold and refreshing!). Their restaurant, Al Bacio, is excellent and the wait staff is superb! Salvatore (he is a gem!), Toni, and Paul, all served us for multiple lunches and dinners and, frankly, we ate at Al Bacio more than we had planned to because of Salvatore, Toni, and Paul! If you love experiencing simply gorgeous mountain lakes and first-class service, then Castello Lake Front Hotel, Malcesine, is for you!

Lage direkt am See. Lokalitäten zu Fuß erreichbar. Parkplatz dabei. Personal was überaus freundlich. Frühstücken mit grandioser Aussicht!

Leider war das Frühstücksbuffet kaum gekühlt, daher sah das Essen gleich nicht mehr so frisch aus.

Die Lage des Hotels direkt am See mit eigener Liegewiese, sowie eigenem Seezugang, Balkons mit Seeblick, Frühstücksraum und Speisegaststätte ebenfalls mit Seeblick. Für uns waren auch die Hotelparkplätze ausgesundheitlichen Gründen wichtig. Frühstücksangebot hervorragend und das Essen in der Gaststätte bestens. In ganz großes Lob an alle Angestellten des Hotels !

I stayed at hotel castello lakefront with my wife and we loved everything about it. We had a fabulous junior suite with a large balcony / terrace facing the lake. The breakfast was good and varied and we dined each night in the resteraunt on site and enjoyed the traditional Italian food served there. The staff everywhere were pleasant and helpful

Brilliant location, staff couldn't be more helpful

I loved it all. You would be aware that Malcesine is hilly, if you don't like walking up and down cobbled hilly streets then it's not for you.

Sehr gutes Frühstück, man bekommt alles was das Herz begehrt. Zimmer sehr geräumig, Lage direkt am See mit Blick darauf und die Burg die daneben ist.

Die Dusche könnte größer sein.

This was a fantastic hotel with a great location. The parking is convenient and the hotel was not difficult to locate and park. The garage has parking reserved if you have booked a suite, which we had. The room had a beautiful balcony with a retractable awning. The balcony also came with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The room was clean and spacious. It also came with a tub and separate shower as well as a separate sitting area with two large chairs. There were two separate enclosed vanity’s to hang and store clothing. There was plenty of storage space throughout. We parked our car and never moved it for 5 nights. There is a supermarket only a few steps away and numerous restaurants. The laundry service was excellent. We dropped our clothing in the morning and it was back in our room by early evening clean and neatly folded. The staff was very helpful in answering our many questions concerning how the boat ferries operated, etc. The breakfast was one of the best we experienced while in Italy. Many choices and always fresh and replenished often. The view of the lake during breakfast was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

Tolle Lage direkt am Wasser. Die Zufahrt zu den Parkplätzen erfolgt ca. 50m durch die Fussgängerzone, das muss man wissen um es zu finden. Ansonsten alles prima. Mit das beste Frühstück dass ich bisher in einem Hotel hatte. Bravo

אהבנו את המיקום, גם קרוב לרחובות הקטנים בעיירה, גם על האגם וגם ליד הטירה. הארוחת בוקר וערב היו מעולות. סה״כ מלון קטן שקט.

לא שווה את התמורה למחיר. חדר קטן וישן, מקלחת של פעם, רוח מטורפת באיזור הזה של החוף ואי אפשר היה לשבת על שפת האגם וזה כל הקטע של המלון. המלון עצמו מאוד קטן ובלי בריכה. אם מזג האוויר לא מתאים לכניסה לאגם אז המלון מאבד את הקסם.

Perfekte Lage: unterhalb des Castello’s direkt am See mit Liegewiese, direkter Zugang zum See, Parkplatz direkt neben dem Hotel und ein paar Meter zu Fuß und man ist in der Altstadt von Malcesine. Frühstück hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen (auch glutenfrei), Restaurant empfehlenswert. Das Personal vom Empfang über den Service bis zum Reinigungspersonal immer hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Auf Anfragen bzgl. für uns fehlende Gegenstände und Defekt von Lichtschaltern im Zimmer wurde reagiert, jedoch nicht grad so in Art und Weise wie wir es erwartet hätten.

Super Lage, direkt am See. Guter Hotelparkplatz. Traumhafte Sicht aus dem Zimmer auf den See. Kurzer Weg ins Ortszentrum. Gutes Frühstück, gutes Restaurant auch zum Abendessen.

Es war alles in Ordnung! Am besten die Lage und natürlich auch die moderne Einrichtung des Hotels. Wir hatten ein Standardzimmer mit Südseitenbalkon(Blick auf Burg und seitlicher Blick zum Gardasee....Absolut schön zum Entspannen. Da es sehr heiß war....zum sonnen perfekt geeignet. Die Klimaanlage war auch perfekt. Ruhig und zuverlässig.

Das Zimmer war von der Einrichtung her i.O. , aber die Raumgröße ist grenzwertig und ohne Kleiderschrank! Man lebt also aus dem Koffer. Der Pool läßt zu wünschen übrig, ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Dann habe ich ein Basecap vergessen und die günstigste Rücksendung kostet 30€ über einen Drittanbieter! Ist ein Erinnerungsstück...aber nicht für den Preis! Das entspricht nicht einem guten Service!

It is a very beautiful, modern hotel directly at the lake. We had a room with a spacious terrace overlooking the lake and the mountains - everything we could wish for our anniversary trip. And the breakfasts were super delicious - I highly recommend this hotel.

Velice příjemný hotel s perfektní polohou hned u jezera. Měli jsme pokoj v přízemí s terasou, která byla součástí zahrady. Krásné posezení a výhledy na jezero přímo z terasy. Byli jsme zde při pracovní cestě, proto jsme přespali pouze 1 noc. I když se do hotelu přijíždí přes pěší zónu, je velkým bonusem, že má své parkoviště.

The hotel is perfect, is well managed and staffed and nothing is too much to ask or too much trouble for staff to deal with. Every member of staff is trained exceptionally well, they are friendly, hospitable professional in their roles. All staff are dressed very well and ‘look the part’. You should be very proud of all staff and everything you provide for your guests. The breakfast buffet selection is enormous and worthy of recognition. Dining in the evenings was very pleasant with a good choice of menu and the presentation delightful. Personally, I struggled with the mattress and sleeping but as soon as I mentioned it housekeeping came to sort out the problem and my sleep was greatly improved. We would both, without exception, recommend this charming hotel and everything that it provides including being right by the lake with the gorgeous and beautiful village to stroll around too! What more can you ask!!

Allora l unica piccola pecca è che per arrivare bisogna passare per la zona traffico limitato che è piena di pedoni ma è veramente un piccolo tratto...per il resto tutto ok. Credo che teovafe una struttura sul Lagp di Garfa che offra la spiaggia privata cn possibilità di mettere la sdraio fronte lago nn ha prezzo e su erba. in più c'è anche la possibilità di usare una seconda struttura con piscina . È stato tutto perfetto una volta parcheggio non si deve pensare più a nulla poiché è in pienp centro.. Colazione da dieci : frutta tagliata a pezzi ,di turti i tipi centrifuga da fare cn la frutta gia pronta mocché di caffè da 20 pronte oltre al caffè alle macchinette...crepes omelette fatte al momemto yogurt fatto in casa ...Credo la Colazione migliore mai fatta.

Un piccolo tratto di zona Ztl da fare cn la makkina in pieno centro...ma è poca strada per raggiungere l hotel.

Perfect situation. Right by the sea and in full view of the mountains. The old town is beautiful and just up the road. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were the best we’d ever had, the selection was amazing. Perfect.
