It was ok could have had bacon instead of ham

I didn’t like the sausages pork sausages would have been better overall

Likes : * nice small villas. * nice swimming pool. *hospitality , friendly & helpful staff. * location is fair. Dislikes: Breakfast options are so limited.

From staff to accommodation it was amazing helpful staff, beautiful swimming pool, cosy rooms

Maybe more mosquito or insect repellent for the room

Room Curtain, should be DARK

Great hotel for the price

Location is perfect but breakfast was not good enough

Cafe

Bed super comfy the best we have had in 40 nights in Thailand. Location great, with only 10 min walk to beach, 7 11, pharmacy and fruit stand nearby.

Shower head did not stay in place so had to use by hand, many tiles on bottom of pool broken, hubby cut his foot. Rooms were dated a few maintenance issues needed.

Quiet and location

Nice place close to the beach, Nice swimming pool even if it needs some refresh . We have been changed out of family room some days before we arrived but they managed everything for us to be confortable.

Nothing

Breakfast and location very good

It needs maintaining,,, painting,,, tiles in pool replacing

This hotel has so much potential but sadly was very disappointing. It is located in the jungle and the grounds are beautiful but poorly maintained. Breakfast was ok when included with the price but I would go somewhere else down the road rather than pay extra.

On arrival we were told the family room (x2 double beds) that we had booked was no longer available. They offered us 2 regular rooms next to each other which we accepted (we didn't have much choice). There are large gaps in the door frames which means there are insects in the rooms and in our case a large gecko (atleast 40cm long) which was very noisy and kept us awake. When we told the staff about it they didn't even acknowledge it or offer to remove it. It was living behind the wardrobe. This meant we ended up all sharing one double room. When a family room did become available they tried to charge us more than the price on booking.com saying that it was an error. Other negatives were that the pool and grounds were poorly maintained. The pool was filthy and had loose and missing tiles which could easily cause an injury. There were old broken plastic deck chairs which had been discarded into the surrounding jungle. There was a pile of rubbish between our room and the pool which was not removed for the 4 nights that we stayed there. There were two male staff that seemed to be running the hotel. One of them was friendly and the other was rude and uninterested. Other thing to note is that there are multiple red light bars next to the hotel which meant there was a certain type of clientele at the hotel and I would not recommend it for families. I felt uncomfortable having my teenage daughter at the pool.

Beautifully kept gardens with mountains as a back drop. Great pool. Lovely bungalows

It didn’t bother us as we had our own WiFi. But theirs didn’t work. Not a complaint but some people may need WiFi

Check in was quick, property is dated but clean. Breakfast a set menu was good . There are food shops close by serving very tasty food. Somewhat upset pool was not available for use, had I known I would not have booked here. Staff where nice Cats where beautiful

The garden was beautiful and very relaxing. Staff were able to help us with renting a motorbike on site which was really convenient. Close to the beach, bars and shops. Short walk away from the "main" are of the village. The pool is really big.

The hotel is a little dated and could be looked after or renewed but that didn't have a big impact on our stay.

We loved the place. The bungalow was nice and clean. Lots of choice for breakfast, cheap scooter rental (we had a brand new scooter), we even bought our transport back to Bangkok with them and it was the cheaper we found on the island. Ideal location 5 min walk to the best sunset beach, 10 minutes drive to white sand beach area and 10 minutes drive to lonely beach. Lots of restaurant in the area. We would stay there again.

The staff and the breakfast and the cats

To far from white sands no kettle in room 9

cleanliness, nature

loud music at night from a nearby bar, loud neighbor

- Great location, walkable to a beautiful beach and easy to get to others - Lots of restaurants and shops nearby - Breakfast is included and is good - Daily cleaning of the room and is done well - Nice big pool, gets the sun most of the day - Helpful and friendly staff - Friendly cats on the property

- maintenance needed on the tiles in the pool, lots are broken and very sharp - my son cut his foot on one of them - Lots of bugs get into bathroom - but the hotel is in a garden so this was to be expected

Slitent sted. Minner om forfall

gardens, the staff were amazing, and the pool.

beds were awful. really hard and didn’t get one full nights sleep. the pillows were really uncomfortable as well and lumpy. no kettle in room and no safe

the staff, the position, very closed to the beautiful beach to any kind of restaurant and service, the swimming pool in the green atea, the scooters rent and the rooms very comfortable and cleaned very well daily and the breakfast with many options

nothing

The staff here were so very good to us. Friendly and nothing we asked them for was too much trouble. I am very happy we stayed there.

Found the property for 3 stars and price point magnificent. Pool is excellent. Room good size bathroom small but kind of standard for 3 star. Breakfast made to order for me that is my preference. Staff friendly little things like better towels ( but was in 4 star previously) would be nice. For price and rating highly recommend

Super friendly staff, big swimming pool, gardenlike ambient. Breakfast in open restaurant. They offer 6 menus for breakfast. We were staying in bungalow with 2 beds, bathroom and balcony near the pool. The room is small, but big enough for us though. We didn't hear any music from bar across the street nor the traffic. They have information desk near the "entrance", you can rent a motor, sign up for massage...they offer many different tours and trips at information desk. We liked our stay there!

Bra hotell för en natt

The shower did not work only cold water toilet from above room dripped onto out toilet so you had to dodge this aircon locked and set at 25 degrees Doors bolt latches not aligned with holes so no real security ants walking over our bed bed narrow double but okay sheets old Loud music from the bar across the road till late Shower sprays all over the bathroom so the toilet gets wet as well floor gradient away from the drain so end up with dam in the wrong end of the bathroom large gaps around the door very old TV No kettle No in-room tea and coffee No face cloths towels a bit old

Fantastisch resort, een absolute aanrader Wat mij betreft dikke 5 sterren

Really nice place. Comfortable. Didn't check out the pool, but the whole area looked nice. Across the street is a bar and a couple restaurants. Some more bars up the road. These bars are mostly catered towards men.

Wir haben das Zimmer für 5 Nächte gebucht. Check in + Check out war alles ok.

We stayed at this hotel because we had limited choices for available family rooms on our budget. Myself, my wife son and daughter shared a nice room with 2 twin sized beds. The hotel is surrounded by nice gardens and has a swimming pool which was quiet and perfect for the kid to play in. We drove to Koh Chang which also played a part in choosing this hotel as its perfectly situated in the middle.. not too far either way from which ever end of the island we wanted to explore and they had lots of space for parking with no hassle. The staff were always friendly and pleasant and said hello which goes a long way with me. Great Stay, will certainly go back again.

Hotel staff is arrogant, rude and mean! Dangerous pool, sharp places in the water. Terrible room smelled mold, safety box broken and door locks dosen't work well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DON'T GO THERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TROUBLES.

Our second time at this resort .... same as before, clean, friendly and a good location. Not next to the beach so you will need to walk a little or get a taxi. You need to check out the King Pizza opposite, best pizza we have ever had (and my friend agrees) We went for the CHIEF pizza .... awesome !! Swimming pool is good, but water is very warm, so don't expect to cool off lol Would we stay again .... YES without doubt

Dangerous pool, there were sharp edges on bottom of pool and they still keep it open without fixing it! For us it meant multiple doctor visits with our smallest kid. And no swimming in mone month. We changed hotel after that accident. First time ever I saw rude and arrogant behaviour from Thai personnel there. They acted like that accident was our fault. Also safety box was not working and rooms smelled bad. Avoid this, worst Hotel in Ko Chang.

Oh dear, sadly I can't say anything good about Garden Hill. I am not fond of living with insects, but the rooms are stuffed with them: ants, cockroaches and other little beasts lol. It happens partly, because the buildings are very old and have cracks and little holes . The staff don't care much about it, suppose they are used to it. Secondly, about breakfast. I am not very fussy person but.. There is almost no choice. It is not a buffet. They give you a menu and one has the option to fetch a sausage one kind or another, and scrambled eggs or fried ones. On the top they give you two toasts and one butter and one jam lol. I was suspicious about eggs, it looked as if it wasn't natural ( you know, in South Asia they manufacture artificial eggs ) the taste of yolk wasn't nice, so I tried it only once. Err, they've got no cornflakes for kids, it really pissed me off, you know it is pretty basic. On the bright side it is not too far from the beach ( about 300-400 metres), though it is a walk along dodgy road. The beach itself is very pleasant, clean, there are hardly any stones or sharp shells. All in all a good place to stay with kids, if you don't mind what I mentioned above. PS Ahh, our little friend, gecko, called in few times to sort out insects, the only price for that is lots of his pooings on the walls , lol.

Nice place with good service

Nothing spectacular, but comfortable enough. Rooms were clean, AC worked, water pressure was good. Staff werent all that friendly and the breakfast was sub par. On a good note, theres an excellent Thai coffee place right across the street, and a fantastic pizza joint (pizza king) owned by a friendly German who imports his ingredients from Italy. Location in general is good and motorbike rentals are cheap from the hotel desk. Laundry service lost some of our items, but the front desk agreed to pay for part of the lost goods. Suggest you get your own laundry done right down the street.

Had not updating the booking system online so our booking went through even though they had no rooms available. We turned up and all the ladyboys that run this place talked a lot then took us down the road to another resort.

A great hotel, staff excellent, a good breakfast, very clean and a brilliant pool

Good value for price, dated but started as very nice resort. Some distance to beach access (5min) and short walk to pleasant plaza with restaurants. Across highway is a strip of dingy bars so first impression not good. Breakfast very basic but great service. Problems in room (eg an a/c unit that was "raining") were very promptly fixed.

A typical bungalow style hotelwith reception and restaurant at the front and bungalows behind. The grounds are well maintained and highlighted by a large pool. The bungalows are basic but practical with ok beds and walk- in showers. The furniture is ageing, the TVs are old, and the balconies are small with no table. Their breakfast is basic and a bit bland. The staff are friendly and the property has lots of car park space. I found the place very easy-going and would consider returning but if you are looking for luxury and frills this may not be for you.
