The location of the hotel is close to a park where you can take a walk and enjoy the view. It is also close in proximity to shopping center and the manage Mr Nish was really helpful

Es 2da vez que me hospedo en este hotel y he notado que su calidad ha bajado mucho, el desayuno era mucho mejor, las habitaciones necesitan una renovación y/o mantenimiento al menos, el AC no funcionaba bien. Luego de eso el hotel es hermoso, está muy bien ubicado cerca a parques y restaurantes a los que se puede ir caminando y disfrutar de un paseo.

Excelente vista , buen hotel

Very helpful staff. Mr Nishant, the manager was very helpful. He assisted for a quick check-in and also guided me on the different restaurants around the hotel. I also got a free upgrade on the room which I was really happy about. The breakfast was good with many options available. I Definitely recommend this hotel.

The property is centrally located, and quite accessible with Railway Station, Industrial Units, and Central Bay Area. The staff is very courteous, and special mention to Nishant, who ensures guests have all they need, goes the extra mile, in ensuring guest satisfaction. Be it offering food late at night, suggestions on getting around the city, or arrange vegetarian meals. It’s the place to be for all travellers to Taizhou.

Overall great experience, Very convineient location. Mr. Nishant at the reception was very helpful and efficient, he helped us in finding the Halal restaurant and also helped in getting the print outs for our meeting.

The hotel looks abandone. Not clean at all. This is a Marriot Hotel, but i I think is not a 5 stars hotel. The room was not clean, loosk like the hotel is going down.

I have stayed in the hotel a number of times. This is a good hotel with a good breakfast menu. they have a little difficulty understanding English, but will help you. Overall the facilities are good, clean and value for money. The room size is quite big and all the facilities are modern.

Taizhou was a favourite weekend getaway for us before Covid, and we'd always stayed at the Taizhou Marriott. This time we tried two other hotels as well, but coming back here felt like coming home again. We had a lovely room, with a beautiful view. We didn't use the swimming pool this time, but it was great in the past. The executive lounge was (still) closed, but the lobby lounge was used for drinks (with a 5-hour Happy Hour!), and th Goji restaurant (now on the 8th floor) was used for supper (and breakfast). All were excellent. Ms Lucky at the lounge was great! The dinner buffet (in Goji) was great (although some long queues to gt in were a little annoying). The breakfast (again, in Goji) was delicious. We'll be back! Highly recommended!

Great location and very comfortable hotel. All were good, only mishap is that not many staff speaks a good english. Also at the breakfast one could hope for better coffee and western breakfast dishes. I would however definately stay here again, when I am in this area.

The rooms were clean and well appointed. Amenities like toiletries provided in the washroom are nice and acceptable. The hotel is also located centrally in Huangyan part of Taizhou.

There was hardly anything available with room service when i checked in at 10:00pm and the restaurant was also closed.

From September 14 to September 24, we stayed at the hotel with a colleague, in different rooms. On the day of departure, they counted their money, which had been in the safe all the time of the business trip. I missed $200, my colleague 300. We had money in the safes of our rooms all the time. The reception was informed, but they did nothing. If they had discovered it earlier, they would have called the police. But the loss was discovered only when leaving the hotel. An escort from China paid for us everywhere, the money was taken out of the safe for the first time when leaving. We left the contact of our escort at the hotel. Check the money every day if you keep it in your room or safe. Stealing!!!!!

Luxury hotel in Taizhou. Take a taxi to train station by costing 15 RMB. Room was spacious with a living room. Breakfast and happy hour in club lounge was great. Pool was heated so swim very comfortably.

The property was good for the area as there is not much else. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The resturant would have been ok but the Dinner Cook grilled the Pork/Beef and the Fish togather side by side. and even flipped them onto each other. . . this of course made the Beef not so good. All in all I will stay again but not use the restaurant.

I have been travelling quite a lot in 2020 and 2021 and some hotels can feel lonely due to reduced business travel and fewer services. However, other than a bad check-in experience, I enjoyed my stay at the Zhejiang Taizhou Marriott Hotel. The guy who checked me in was friendly when I was at the front desk, but I was not happy when he came to my room five minutes after I checked in asking me for health codes and information that I had already provided when I entered the hotel. This hotel has discriminatory policies and I don't think it's good. I told him that there's no need to stigmatize against foreigners. Anyway, the executive lounge is closed at this hotel due to the pandemic. In lieu of the lounge, Platinum and higher are given access to the buffet for dinner. The buffet has a lot of seafood and meat, and I enjoyed the food each night. The highlight of the buffet is the Filipino couple Pau and her partner that entertain during dinner. They are super friendly, interact with the guests, and their music sounds amazing!! After the sing at dinner, they continue performing in the lounge. I really enjoyed their music and they made my stay! I was upgraded to a very nice Junior Suite and I loved it!! The room was large. The only improvement that the room could use are softer mattresses (the mattress felt like a box spring!!) The decoration and general hotel design isn't the same as most Marriotts. I believe that it was probably an independent hotel before it was rebranded as a Marriott. The hotel is showing its age as some of the fixtures and furnishings were tarnished/dirty. The Zhejiang Taizhou Marriott Hotel is an excellent choice if you are travelling to Taizhou.

We have just completed an excellent stay at Marriott Taizhou (July 2021). We were here for a short trip earlier this year, for 2 nights in April, and enjoyed it very much. Coming again this time, I had high expectations, ... and was very impressed. This stay was actually even better than the previous one. The rooms are lovely. Modern, spacious, and with all amenities. The food in April was good, but in July, it was excellent! The breakfast and dinner buffets before were good; but this time, they were outstanding. When here in April, I don't recall any entertainment. But this time we were treated to the excellent Paulina and Hansel, two Filipino musicians who performed in both the lobby lounge and the Goji dining area. We had a chance to talk with them, and to make several song requests --- my 6-year-old son was delighted to hear his name called out so often when his requests were played. Thank you for the lovely evening! I've seen it in some older reviews, and I fully agree: something that really stood out for us on this trip was the service/staff. In April, they were wonderful; but on our return in July, they were outstanding. We had a feeling of being welcomed back. By everyone! From reception to bar/waiting staff (Thanks, again Scott), to cleaners. I cannot emphasise enough how strongly and positively this impacted our stay. An excellent stay. We will certainly be back!

I travel frequently for work (about 115 nights a year). I must say this hotel is the best in the area. The rooms are nice and clean, the gym is better than most hotel gyms I’ve been at and the breakfast is similar to that of Hong Kong or shanghai. Where the hotel really shines is with the staff. They are some of the nicest hotel staff I’ve ever met!! It was EXTREMELY busy at dinner - the entire buffet area was packed and I stopped a gentlemen (Toby) who was in a rush to ask him where I can find vegetarian sushi and some vegetables. He went out of his way to help me out and to my surprise, for the next 4 days I was in the hotel at supper time the staff always had pre made sushi put aside for me and remembered what I wanted and made it without even asking. I’ve never been to a hotel in China and experienced staff that went above and beyond like this, it was truly appreciated. A big thanks to the taizhou Marriott staff!! Looking forward to my next stay 👍🏻

Hotel is located 15 mins from High speed train station. The limo service provide free wifi in the car and a power bank to recharge the phone. It is a 4 years old hotel and is well maintain. You dont feel like in a second tier city becoz the breakfast is like any hotels in Beijing or Shanghai. Staffs are very friendly and willing to help. Excellent gym and a indoor pool. Room is spacious and is good enough for family for 4 to stay. For sure will consider this hotel when i am heading to Taizhou again.

I am sorry to say so but this is not a five star hotel. Rooms are good though but a lot of things are missing. When I arrived there were no hangers for my shirts. In the morning I wanted to make coffee but there was no spoon in the room. Also people just smoke anywhere and they don’t do anything about it. The restaurant was ok for chinese but for a western guy like me it was very bad and so little choice. This was the same for breakfast, and you expect a hotel like this to serve fresh orange juice, but know just some lemonade what needed to go for orange juice. Coffee was bad too, so still no coffee for me. Also the temperature in the hotel was quite high they need to control much better. My suggestion is when you have to stay here just sleep here and take your food somewhere else.

My 1-star review is an over-rating of this hotel. Every aspect of thia terrible hotel is a disappointment. They had 1 person checking in guests so at 10:30pm I had to wait 15 minutes to check in. Got to the room, trying to order room service, which took 15 minutes juts to order because NOT ONE PERSON IN THIS HOTEL SPEAKS ENGLISH. Besides a salad, nothing on the menu is vegetarian. They have a Vegetarian Minestrone soup made with chicken broth. I kid you not. I asked them to bring me a roll of bread, the response was 'hotel has no more bread. I asked for a salad with 2 dressings, they brought 1 butter sauce. Sent them back for 2 salad dressings, they came back with 1 dressing. 3rd time's a charm. Tried to turn on the air, fan worked but was blowing out hot air when set to 16 degrees C. Called down tk get an engineer. Another 10 minute conversation to explain what an air conditioner is. Technician comes pushes a few buttons and rattles off in Chinese. Didn't fix anything. So I'll try to go to sleep in the heat. Can't sleep because there's a party with loud obnoxious Chinese guys screaming and playing loud music. Call down to complain. They don't understand and don't respond. So off to a full day of work on 3hrs sleep. You're better off sleeping on a park bench. It's amazing that Marriott puts their name on this product.

Definitely a wonderful new hotel with a lot of grandeur, however, service was greatly lacking and really set it back from the rest of the marriotts in the world. Also for an international chain, a lot of the staff could not speak English which was highly inconvenient.

The hotel is located right by a park. And it is within walking distance to food and shopping area. The hotel itself is very nice and pretty new. We had breakfast and dinner almost everyday there. The foods were good, although not a lot of varieties. The staff are very friendly. It seems that the AC in the room malfunctioned. At first it was warm, then someone came fixed it. The temperature went down, however, i still could not adjust the temperature. It seems that was something wrong with the thermostat. Overall, the stay was good.

Hotel is new and modern. We booked club floor and rooms are nice. Beds are little hard, shower not very hot. Club lounge was closed for Remodeling, but was really closed due to low business on club floor. Club privileges extended to Hotel Lobby and Restaurant. Big buffet but mostly Chinese food.

It was a last minute unplanned stay on New Year’s Eve. Insides my train and had to find something quickly. The hotel was excellent, the staff was extremely helpful and communication was very easy. And the room service delivered a snack at 1 am flawlessly. Highly recommended.

Comfort and decor are fine. However service is awful. Even though I dont speak mandarin well, I try to be clear in both languages what I want. Last night I called reception to get two wine glasses (liang ge hong jiubei). I even had the girl on phone repeat back in English so we understood each other..."no problem"... Room service came up and brought two water glasses... Grrr... I called again... The second time a single wine glass came up... Then finally on the third visit, the second wine glass. Here's another incident. I went down to the pool, and the front pool/fitness staff member told me to wait 10 mins (shi fen) for pool to open. Well I waited.20 mins... Still nobody opened the pool. Really frustrating. I complained to hotel manager. He was apologetic that his staff don't speak English well. Me: "No that is not the problem here sir... It's your staff don't work together." Beware.

Good hotel for the area. Comfortable. Restaurants close early which means bar menu if you arive past 8.30 pm.

A group of 5, we were in this hotel during our business visit. The staff is gud and helpful. Little issue with language of course with the ground staff but Google translate helped well. Direct access to the street on the back side was a little inconvenience when a beggar barged in when we were busy talking to a vendor in the lobby area. Breakfast is included but for pure Indian vegetarians there is little to find. We had to manage with baked beans with bread and some fruits. Still overall is a good place. Will recommend.

I usually stay here for my business trips. A very good hotel with a humble staff. The breakfast spread is very nice.

Very little English spoken. Room clean but many things do not work. Curtains, lights, internet only sporadically and tv for English channels kick off about every 30 minutes. Staff are friendly but not real helpful due to lack of understanding. Room service is poor and seems as they are usually out of everything except noodles. Bar is small and very expensive. Was told this is the best hotel in Taizhou but I would look more closely.

Det var ett fint hotell med gym och pool. Frukosten var Kina inspirerad och hade en kock som stekte god omelett. Det var lite ont om ost och skinka. På kvällarna hade de en liveduo som spelade covers vid baren, trevligt. Närområdet är kinesiskt och de kan ej så mycket engelska på restaurangerna. Det var en fin vandring över bron till restauranggatan bakom hotellet. Vill man se kinesisk folkliv kan jag rekommendera detta hotell.

The hotel is new and the hardware is very modern and good. The overall experience is not very pleasing. It is like having a ok food and excellent. Did not feel that it is worth the money charged. Staff is also ok, not like in other good hotels in china.

Maybe is a hotel maybe you can stay but for sure is not Marriott. Is a very typical Chinese hotel where drunk Chinese people screaming on the corridors and smoking in the elevators. My room was smelling paint and by surprise the mini bar didn’t have even a small bottle of water. The only positive thing was the gym and the pool. Generally it’s a shame for Marriott leaving its label in such a hotel. Sorry for my bad comments but this is the reality

Great hotel!

A great hotel with very attentive staff. The rooms are spacious, air conditioning is great, bed comfortable and bathroom very nice. If you are travelling to this area I would strongly recommend this hotel. The bar and restaurant are also good but you can take a 5 minute walk and find some really good local restaurants and if you like your coffee there is a Starbucks within a few minutes walk. I will definitely be staying here again when I return in November.
