Le Domaine des Carmes & Spa

We stayed for almost a week in this lovely villa while on a Food N Wine tour. Our enormous suite was the top floor of the villa, overlooking the pool, garden and apple orchard. The two sets of stairs were worth it for the view! Pascal is a wonderful host. Breakfast included fresh baked croissants, bread, fruit, yogurt, cheese if requested, and wonderful French pressed coffee. Wine and snacks were available from 6-7 in the evening. It was a lovely time to socialize with other guests and Pascal. The wines were very good and we loved Pascal's pours. Pascal is full of energy and truly enjoys hosting his guests. Thank you so much, Pascal, for such a memorable time. I'm still smiling.

We had a lovely stay at this friendly, beautiful decorated hotel in Provençal style. Excellent staff and facilities. Many leisure possibilities; such as a beautiful swimming pool, luxurious spa and sauna and a variety of (outdoor) games (chess, cricket, jeu de boules); all well maintained. They have a very creative formule; between 7 and 8.30 pm you can enjoy an aperitif and meet other guests. Great location to do a wine tour, visit Provencal villages and markets. They are definitely worth the recommendation rate of 9,5+.

Pascal was a wonderful host. Welcoming, helpful and kind…nothing was too much trouble. We had an unforgettable 4 days here, exploring the region and then retreating back to the hotel to soak up the tranquility. A beautiful place to stay.

Notre séjour d’un week-end fut parfait, l’accueil, le confort, la piscine, la décoration des chambres, le domaine est magnifique et à deux pas de l’Isle sur la Sorgue. Pascal est un hôte très sympathique qui connaît parfaitement la région et à l’écoute de ses invités . Nous recommandons cet hébergement pour passer une soirée ou une semaine au calme et dans la bonne humeur.

We would have stayed a month with Pascal at Le Domaine des Carmes if we could have. He's a wonderful host, the hotel and its grounds are gorgeous, the breakfast was amazing and the location is ideal. It's so easy to get to L'Isle Sur-la-Sorgue, Avignon, Chateauneuf-du-Pape and many other charming villages and towns from here. We rented the gite and loved it. Highly, highly recommend!!

Pascal is a treasure. Les Charmes is a perfect place to relax in the garden, by the pool playing boules. He welcomes you as old friends with a drink. Breakfast is superb and rooms spacious and spotless. At 7 in the evening he offers apéritifs to meet the other guests. Just 10 minutes from L’isle sur la Sorgue with fantastic restaurants that he is happy to reserve.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful property. Pascal the owner is a delight and beyond kind. I can't wait to return. The stay was one of my favorite things of our French vacation!

L'endroit est fantastique et l'accueil d'une grande gentillesse et plein d'humanité de la part de Mina. N'hésitez pas une seconde car le rapport qualité prix est exceptionnel. En prime un superbe massage qui a fini de nous convaincre sur le choix splendide de cet hébergement.

Beautiful and expansive property in a park-like setting, which the hosts upgraded with various activities available (pool, workout and exercise area, sauna, etc). Our room was large and comfortable, a bit of a hike up two flights of stairs. Breakfast was good, albeit the same every day, but the croissants, fresh bread, yogurt, fresh preserves and coffee were very good. Too much cannot be said of our hosts Pascal and Mina, who were super helpful and exuberant. They provided great restaurant suggestions in nearby L' Ilse sur la Sorgue, which had a large choice of excellent restaurants.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour avec de nombreux villages à visiter aux alentours du domaine. Pascal, votre hôte, vous mettra dans une ambiance familiale dans un logement parfait pour quelques nuits. Merci Pascal pour ta gentillesse et nous avoir si bien accueilli. Wir waren zum ersten mal im Le Carmes und wurden von Pascal sehr herzlich und freundlich begrüßt. Das Anwesen ist ein Traum und sehr stilvoll und stimmig eingerichtet. Die Lage ist ländlich, ruhig und erholsam aber gut gelegen für Ausflüge in der ganzen Region. Auch unserem Hund hat es hervorragend gefallen. Wir würden immer wieder kommen.

Lovely “traditional” small French pension. Owner Pascal friendly and proud of his accommodations. Rooms were all large to enormous. Maybe 8 or 9 rooms total. Great outdoor space. Housekeeping spotty. Room was clean but some days they didn’t restock anything. Not sure how often comforters and quilts cleaned. Breakfast was fine. Yogurt, bread basket, granola, fresh juice. Great coffee. Fresh cut fruit wasn’t changed out and we watched it go brown over 5 days. Pool was very nice with lots of outdoor recreation. You need a car here. There is no lunch service and minimal dinner. Ubers are available but at €15-€20 each way the cost goes up quickly. Most rooms did not have refrigerators. There was tea and coffee service in the room. Great water pressure. That being said at less than €200 a night for a large room I would stay again but only if I had a car. The town of L’Isle sur la Sorgue was lovely. Loved hearing the sheep and roosters.

My wife and I absolutely loved staying here! We’ve stayed here before and had to come back. Mina and Pascal are wonderful hosts and great to speak with. The rooms are so beautiful and spacious. The grounds of the maison are incredible in every way. We loved every moment of our stay here!

Pascal ist ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber. Er hat immer einen lustigen Spruch auf den Lippen. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, was den Aufenthalt als Familie sehr erleichtert. Das Frühstück unter den Weinreben ebenfalls sehr gemütlich.

We had the most wonderful stay enjoying the stunning setting and amenities and being spoiled by our incredible host Pascal whose energy and genuine concern for his guests cannot be overstated. Our room in the top tower was spacious and comfortable with a stunning view of the pool and grounds and a great shower. Our sons were day campers at the Bosquier football academy in Cavaillon so we were up early, and Pascal was there to serve us a delicious breakfast at 7:30 every day. The croissants are cooked right there (the best we had in France) and there was fruit, bread, granola, yogurt as well as ham and cheese upon request. And excellent coffee! As others have mentioned the 7-8 pm wine hour is a real treat, and Pascal makes sure every glass is full with terrific wine and everyone feels welcome. The pool is a great size, crystal clear and refreshing with lots of comfortable seats and umbrellas for shade, and the outdoor gym and ping pong were great options for a quick workout or an evening match. We paid the small fee to use the hot tub which is also sparkling clean and therapeutic for legs tired out from football. You do need a car, but close-by are many great options for lunch or dinner. We never timed a meal in quaint Le Thor right (wish we had - it looked so lovely!) but we loved Isla la Sorgue and Fontaine de Vaucluse where we took a fun and memorable trip in a kayak down the Sorgue. In addition to Pascal, the maid service was terrific, and Marion who we met on our last day was also very kind. Pascal and his team work incredibly hard to ensure guests have a relaxing and memorable stay, and these “USA people” certainly did. Thank you Pascal!

Stunning property in very close proximity to Isle sur la Sorgue. Pascal the owner greeted us upon arrival and showed us all the facilities, while making my family feel totally welcome and at ease. Beautiful historic house with immaculate big rooms and huge bathrooms. The interior and exterior of the property and grounds are stunning. Pool area is one of the nicest we have experienced, really fresh and clean water and lots of lounging options. Did not use the spa facilities but looked great! Aperitif time (optional) and free of charge was a superb detail too! Staff very amenable and friendly. Cannot recommend more highly!

Domaine de charme avec espace commun très vaste et agréable. Logement conforme à la description et photo, confortable et de qualité dans un très beau cadre. Accueil de très grande qualité même en dehors des heures d’ouverture! Je reviendrai pour pouvoir profiter de la piscine et de l’espace sport!

This is the most fabulous small hotel. The accommodation and the service is top notch! Our room was large and beautiful with the strongest shower I have ever been under, which is a real bonus with long hair. The exterior grounds are gorgeous with a proper sized swimming pool. We thoroughly enjoyed the continental breakfast and the complementary aperitifs between 7-8 pm. The host/owner was delightful and all his little extra touches made this an excellent stay. For us it was a great base for visiting the nearby villages. We hope to return next year.

A beautiful corner of paradise in a fab location close to isle sur la sorge Pascal is a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome. Everything in this hotel is of a very good standard, The rooms are luxury, the bed very comfortable and it’s very very peaceful.

Le domaine est tres beau, propre et bien entretenu. L'espace SPA est un gros plus. C'est un endroit où je reviendrai pour sur, acec beaucoup de plaisir. Un grand merci à vous pour ce moment.

Ancien couvent des carmélites reconverti en chambres d’hôtes. La suite était très belle, propre et spacieuse. Très bon accueil fait par Mina, tout comme le petit déjeuner.

The whole place was beautiful in keeping with French style. Pascal is a charming chap who greets you from your arrival. Very clean, comfortable rooms, the cleaner makes up rooms very quickly.everyone goes out of there way to help you. I will come back next week, with my children.it’s so well placed for visiting gordes bonnieux Roussillon. Wonderful!!! Will not fault the place. It’s a must. Definitely book it!

Quelle belle découverte ! Un havre de paix où j'aurais aimé séjourner encore plus longtemps... Le lieu est superbe, les chambres sont très belles et la literie confortable. Le petit déjeuner en terrasse est très bon et copieux. Pascal est un hôte exceptionnel, aux petits soins et très jovial. Nous avons vraiment apprécié et nous reviendrons c'est certain !

Les Carmes is an absolute gem. We stayed in the Tower Room and it was perfect for our family of four (kids 8 and 4). The bathroom is large, the AC functions well, the king bed was comfortable, and the small single beds set outside our bedroom were perfect for our young kids. The property is glorious with flowers, hanging vines, cobbled patios, pool, gym, yard games, and spa. The building as a whole is stunning and full of Pascal's wonderful decor. Note that check in is only between 4-7 pm unless you coordinate with Pascal ahead of time, as he needs to give you access to the gate when you first enter (afterwards you have a fob). I had missed that fact but thankfully we arrived just shy of 4 and Pascal happily let us in. Breakfast is a lovely cold continental spread, served by Pascal on the patio. There is a happy hour between 7-8 pm with delicious local wines, beer, etc. Lastly, Pascal is the true gem here. The ultimate host, welcoming everyone as if they are the most important guests and going above and beyond to recommend outings and make dinner reservations. You cannot go wrong here.

This property is very special—the building is from a long time ago but beautifully refurbished and filled with lovely objects and paintings. It is calming to sit inside or outside. The hostess and host are extremely friendly and very helpful. We felt so well taken care of. The breakfast was lovely and the wine in the evening was a nice time to relax with fellow travelers. We give this hotel our highest rating!

Just a one night stay, but a lovely room. We were upgraded which was appreciated. Swimming pool was very clean & a nice temperature. Drinks with the host & other guests was a fun experience. Breakfast in the courtyard was excellent. We will return, thank you

Pascal & Marion sa collaboratrice, nous ont acceuillis comme "à la maison", dans un cadre parfait de détente, de conseils et adresse de restaurants sublimes. La chambre,le Spa, & le petit déjeuner sont au top, en mode escapade en couple nous avons complétement déconnectés et trouvés le calme & repos. The room and the rest of the home truly keep the heritage of the building, nice contemporary touches, a beautiful eye for details! Everything was pefect! The accomdation, the breakfast, the service, the owner is a charming man and personally welcomes and ensures your stay is a happy one. Even the weather was perfect:) if you find yourself staying here, you are very lucky indeed. For us, there is nowhere else to stay now in Provence.

Beautiful old house in gorgeous grounds. The main hostess was fantastic and so accommodating to our late check in. Breakfast great and the pool would have been fantastic on a hot day.

Un lieu magique, au calme, Pascal est très intentionné et très accueillant. Petits points d'amélioration, un mini frigo serait le bienvenue dans la suite, un petit déjeuner plus varié également. Mais cela n'a absolument pas nuit à notre séjour. Je recommande cette adresse.

Si vous cherchez un endroit pour un repos au calme, un accueil chaleureux et au petit soin même en période Covid avec toutes les règles sanitaires obligatoire, c'est LA BONNE adresse. Merci à Pascal qui fait tout pour rendre ce séjour le plus agréable possible. Un petit déjeuner copieux avec des produits frais et locaux, voila comment bien attaquer la journée. Tous ici est fait pour passer un bon moment, décoration chaleureuse, terrasse, cheminée, spa, salle de sport, piscine, jardin, etc. On peut venir les yeux fermés, on est sur d’apprécier son séjour !!

Sejour parfait. Pascal propose un accueil hors norme. Gentillesse, apero et conseils. Tout y est. Chambre etait grande et confortable. Literie au top ! Le lieu est magnifiue. Séjour idyllique. Par quoi commencer ? Le domaine sans doute. De toute beauté avec une magnifique bâtisse er un jardin splendide, tous deux merveilleusement pensés, refaits et entretenus sous l’œil avisé et de très bon goût du propriétaire. Ah La lavande et les lauriers, les arbres spelendides. Les murs .... La suite immense et très chaleureusement décorée avec une salle de bains toute en carreaux, simplement divine. Le calme de la propriété et son histoire que son propriétaire raconte si bien. Le propriétaire pusiqu’on en parle... Un hôte des plus professionnels et néanmoins des plus chaleureux. Combinant attention, discrétion et adaptation à ses invités. L’accueil, le suivi, les conseils sur la région et les bonnes tables alentours. Concoctant un délicieux et très copieux peut déjeune, servi sur la superbe terrasse. Les équipements Piscine et spa sont aussi au top. Au final, une adresse qu’on aimerait ne garder que pour soi, mais que je souhaite à tous de découvrir. Merci Pascal, nous reviendrons, en nombre ....

Beautiful and peaceful. Best of all was our hostess Julia! Julia was very welcoming and instantly made us feel at home. Lovely on all counts. Would stay again.

We spent 5 days chez Pascal in the heart of Provence, as a family of 4. The inn is a very nice old house with an electric gate. Once you are in, there is a short road through flowers and you get to park in this spectacular area between large plane trees. The inn itself is rustic, yet very well kept, furnished with gusto. Our room was the mid-tower suite, again well furnished with an entree area, where Pascal placed two beds for our kids. The room itself was gigantic and gave you that mansion feeling. It had two large windows with shutters and a comfortable bed, a sitting set and TV. The bathroom was also well appointed, with a nice shower area, hot tub, and vanity mirror. We had a little misunderstanding with the sink 😀, which would not change my opinion about the stay. The property is surround by a large apple orchard. It has a pool, some games, work-out area. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, cheeses etc. No eggs, which I am not sure if it is a French thing, but we Americans eat eggs for breakfast. Pascal was a nice man, always happy and very useful with restaurant reservations and other recommendations. There was a social hour around 7 pm where he served wine/drinks and nuts. The location of the inn was perfect for us, close to Avignon and all Luberon towns and other attractions. One little constructive feedback point; water of the pool was very cold, even at 5 pm in a day when the temperatures were in the 100s. Overall great! Mercy

Host, Pascal Crochet, is gregarious and very helpful with suggestions and then printing maps. He serves wine and a few munchies every evening at 7 pm. The suite was exactly as pictured but bigger. There were robes to use for each of us. We were pampered. The breakfasts were delicious.

Les Carmes is meant to be traditional...so don't expect the most modern of amenities. Our room was large and comfortable. The owner Pascal makes every effort to make the stay a success. There is no restaurant on site but within a 10-minute drive.

The home was beautiful and luxurious. Breakfast was delicious. Pascal was so welcoming and accommodating. Very happy with our stay and will gladly return another time.
