Lovely spot, friendly staff.
Closed early Sunday night and breakfast not early enough.
Wonderful staff, couldn't do enough to help us. Fantastic breakfast (and also dinner as an add on) Beautifully restored historic building
We had the loft room which, while beautifully atmospheric and airy, had relatively limited space and in places height. We would probably book a larger room next time.
The pub area of of Abberley Manor Inn (not Hotel) is very nice. A charming old English pub with very good Pub Food & excellent staff.
We were placed in one of the two attic rooms, right up in the gods. Our room, I can’t recall the name - it was a highly forgettable experience, was extremely dusty, and didn’t appear to have been cleaned appropriately in some time, with both damp and WC odour that could be smelt immediately. The gentleman who showed us to our room couldn’t get away quickly enough.
Room.
No hot water. Staff tried hard to rectify. Did give a discount. Appreciated that.

The hotel, pub, food & staff & especially the rooms beautiful appointed rooms & bathrooms with comfy beds & pillows. Oh and the view. Shelsley room. We had 5 rooms in total.

Lovely clean room, enormous bathroom, fresh towels, everything spotlessly clean and tidy.
Nothing
The breakfast was nice
Unfortunately on a Sunday food stops at 3pm and the location is quite isolated to get food anywhere else.
Lovely little village. Rooms spacious, clean & with everything you’d want. Restaurant also spacious & welcoming. Lovely outdoor area & very welcoming to dogs. Food delicious
Shower was a bit cramped & food maybe a little pricey but nothing to spoil the overnight stay
What is there not to like? Gorgeous country pub with rooms, tucked away in a lovely village amongst beautiful countryside. Warm welcome; friendly helpful staff; lovely rooms; comfy beds, fluffy towels; delicious food. Perfect place for a relaxing break.

Such a lovely area. Very beautiful and scenic. The property was lovely and clean very comfortable rooms just a very lovely place
Lovely area and pub was beautiful inside. Close to other local towns and cities. Staff were friendly and the room had everything we needed.
Can't speak for other rooms, macerator in the toilet made it hard to shower or use the loo without loud noises. Room was quite tiny.
Lovely inn located in a gorgeous village with lots of walks on the doorstep. Welcoming friendly staff. Well appointed room. Great menu and delicious food.

Leuk personeel, fijne tuin en goed ontbijt
Good breakfast, I could not eat evening meal as there was only 1 vegetarian choice with smoked cheese which I do not like, & the menu did not change during our 4 night stay. We were very happy with our room, also the hotel was dog friendly, which was very good
We were disappointed that the guests lounge was in darkness after 9-15 in the evening, we would have liked to have drinks & coffee at 9-30pm, but were told nothing was available & the coffee machine had been switched off, so we could not socialise with other guests This was a big disappointment for a 5 star AA hotel .
Excellent staff and food
Some maintenance needed in bedrooms
The room and bed were very comfortable. Top rating all round. The food was out of this world. The garden space and choice of seating was perfect everything well spaced not to be crowded. The staff were lovely.
There is nothing not to like.
Charming pub with rooms in a pleasant small village. The food is good and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The rooms have been tastefully decorated but lack a few finishing touches eg there tends to be nowhere to hang a wet towel to dry and it would be useful to have tissues. It's not inexpensive and one would expect the finishing touches at the price paid. We have stayed before and may well stay again. However, I have mentioned the above issues to previous managers and nothing has been done. I didn't bother to say anything this time. Also a good proportion of the garden chairs are falling apart with holes in the seats - this may become a safety issue in the longer term. It is also worth noting that you have to proactively ask for your room to be serviced - it doesn't happen automatically.
Beautiful setting and nicely laid out inn with terrace and gardens. Our room was well presented and we were greeted by Simon who was very welcoming and showed us to our room. We did not eat in the restaurant but there is a good range to choose from.
Given it was 36c on our arrival the sheer heat in our room was very uncomfortable. But Simon provided a fan and we opened the balcony windows to get some air flow. Not the hotel’s fault but we were on our way back from time in Portugal where everywhere has amazing air-conditioning - so we really noticed the difference! The bar even gave us 10% off a cold beer as it was so hot so that was a nice touch! Thank you.
Nothing
The room was too hot and when opened window could smell sewerage The outside furniture was falling too bits Didn’t like that there was no one on site if anything went wrong
Nice quiet location with good country walks all around. Great staff and food.
Could not stand up in bathroom because of sloping roof! Some of the facilities need attention eg the shower door would not stay closed.
The location was perfect very nice room excellent tea tray
My only disappointment was with the bathroom. There was no grab rail in the bath . I am waiting for a new hip so climbing over the edge of the bath isn’t easy . Also the toilet seat needs adjusting as it isn’t aligned with the toilet bowl … so your sitting at an angle .
Location, room size, restaurant (evening meal was outstanding, but breakfast disappointing
Lack of breakfast choice and very small portion of granola option.
Breakfast good quality full English but no cereal ,fruit or pastries
Breakfast room very uninviting nothing laid out no even salt and pepper very slow service and on the last day very surprised to see a dog in the dining room which means they allow dogs in the rooms so would not return
The ambience was beautiful. The staff and food were exceptionally good.

Location
Public areas need cleaning and a lick of paint, plumbing was very noisy, breakfast was ok if you wanted a full cooked one, but less so if your preference was for lighter food.
Very comfortable bed and huge bathroom with twin shower. Very good served at dinner and excellent breakfast served in beautiful surroundings.
Bedroom was noisy due to the kitchen extractor which didn’t stop till late evening probably after meals were served and started up again before breakfast. Outside furniture and decor needed some TLC as they looked “tired”.
Very relaxed and beautiful setting. Staff very friendly and service exceptional. The rooms were clean and extremely comfortable. The food was delicious, both breakfasts and dinners were outstanding and catered extremely well for gluten free. Overall a fantastic stay.
The location was beautiful. 👌 Staff were lovely 🥰
The yogurt and granola was a bit bitter and could have done with a bit of honey otherwise the food was excellent.
Lovely location, very friendly helpful staff, comfortable room.
Excellent hotel in a beautiful location. Lovely comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. Couldn't ask for more..ma
The location and the facilities. The staff were incredibly helpful.
Loved how quiet it was, Staff were very accommodating & friendly! Had a comfortable room modern fan in situ which was great as it was very hot, we were able to have an early check in which was helpful so we could get refreshed before dinner. Dinner was good quality & tasty, nice ambience in the restaurant.
Booking site needs to state that the bar closes early on Sunday, we weren’t aware til we contacted the property to arrange a time for dinner. Lower decking which needed re- painting.
The outside was really nice the views were very nice
We got quite a small room and a bit outdated
Quiet location, good food, comfortable room and bed.
Lovely, old building with modern facilities. The food is exceptional!

The staff were very welcoming, very friendly and lovely to be around. Nothing was too much trouble they were happy to help. The room was spacious, clean and was very nice. It has a lovely view from the bedrooms. The bed was very comfortable. The food was amazing some of the nicest food I've eaten for a while! The breakfast the next day was also very nice. Atmosphere was very relaxed and itw as just a lovely place to stay overall.
There was nothing I did not like will definatly be returning in the future.
Food, room size and comfort. Quiet location
Only suggestion is extra toilet paper pls
The food choice was great and the superior room was very spacious. A very quiet area.
Staff were super and food was excellent.
Location. Out in sticks.
The location was stunning, the Manor is surrounded by beautiful countryside.
I couldn’t fault it.
Warm friendly. Superb room and stunning breakfast. Very dog friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Manor . We stayed in the Abberley Room which could not have been better in particular the super king bed which was so comfortable and the luxurious bathroom was fabulous. All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble fir them. They made us feel very welcome.. The breakfast was fabulous and all the food was of a very high standard. The location and views from the terrace are amazing and we will definately be returning to The Manor for another very relaxing stay. Thank You
Food was amazing but unfortunately there wasn't a vegetarian menu option which made it difficult for our evening meal. The bathroom was gorgeous but missing a non slip mat and a grab handle in the shower.
The staff are excellent. The location is amazing - perfect in every way.
The shower and toilet room are small
Food was amazing , service was lovely.
Beautiful place. Friendly staff. Beautiful property. Excellent walk in the area. Comfy bed . Excellent shower.
Lovely location, quiet end of the village, rooms we’re excellent and very comfy bed, food was excellent, staff were fantastic, very welcoming and friendly, service was prompt, often walking into a village pub with a suitcase can feel awkward but it was like home from home, really impressed
Stayed for new year. Loved the tasting menu! The staff couldnt be more welcoming and attentive and the rooms are wonderful. Can’t wait to be back!
Lovely village inn which I’ve known for many years but never stayed at before. Lovely room and delicious breakfast
Personally, the room was far too warm making for an uncomfortable sleep. So much so we had to open the windows and have the fan on all night even though it was December!
It felt like staying with an old friend
The pillows were a little bit flat but that’s just personal taste
Charming venue, absolutely faultless hospitality and stunningly good food. Really welcoming to our dog too!
Excellent staff and location

Clean rooms great breakfast! Convenient location

Nice converted pub with rooms. All clean. Rooms have all amenities. WiFi works, Netflix works. Nature around it beautiful. Plenty of parking with Blue Badge also. Staff friendly.
We got the only room they had for humans only, all other rooms allowed animals in. If this doesn't shock you go ahead and stay there. We sat down for dinner at 7pm. The bread and olives "on arrival" arrived at 7.50pm. Our main order ( fish and chips and chicken) arrived at 8.20, 80 minutes after sitting down. Prices for food and drink were very high. Rooms don't have fire escape instructions, only one tiny laminated notice at the top of the stairs. How did they pass a H&S assessment beats me. At about 9pm we had a ( false) fire alarm ...in the little room the sound was deafening to the extreme at sky high decibels achieving the opposite effect of making you move, we were stunned and shocked and paralysed...nobody bothered to inform us what it was or to apologise afterwards..we felt at risk the entire night. Overal it gives the feeling the management is not quite trained in the hospitality business.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable bedroom. Excellent restaurant.
Parking was safe and easy. The property was beautiful, it was spotless the room was spotless too. It was a lovely atmosphere very welcoming and homely!!!!! I cant speak highly enough about it!!!!!
The welcome was so warm and friendly and the entire team helpful and approachable. Nothing was any trouble to them. The food is excellent and well presented The atmosphere relaxed and comfortable and the whole property well looked after and immaculately clean We will definitely recommend and hope to stay with you again thank you
Warm welcome, very helpful and friendly. Modern decor and exceptionally spacious en suite.
Absolutely loved the vibe of the pub. Everything was super cozy and clean.
Excellent staff, food and drink.
Delightful staff
The place was amazing, would go as far to say one of my fav hotels, food was incredible staff were lovely and helpful, would stay there again!
Clean and modern
Nice room. Lovely rural location ( small village). Great views. Friendly staff. Good restaurant and breakfast.
Very good food for both dinner and breakfast. Room was clean and well looked after The people were friendly Massive bathroom
Claustrophobically small bedroom with a difficult to view TV if two were staying The evening I was there the room was exceptionally noisy as if the staff were spending the whole time dragging furniture around. The room has the constant thrumming of a large fan till about 10:00 pm
Everyone was very helpful nothing too much trouble.
Lovely location- quiet and beautiful countryside. Comfortable bedroom and efficient shower. Nice outside patio and garden with rural views. Parking off road. Pretty village location next to ancient church.
Disappointing food for price. Despite advertising full English breakfast in the not-cheap price, there was no bacon or sausage! Luckily, there were eggs.... No breakfast buffet, everything had to be ordered separately and therefore no choice of amount. At lunch, the two starters were at best average, at worst lacking in flavour. The smoked haddock fishcake tasted only vaguely of fish and swam in far too much sauce for its small size. Dessert was good.
Positive welcoming staff, pleasant clean room, high quality cuisine
Fabulous helpful staff, excellent quality food - breakfast and main menu. Well appointed clean rooms (ours had lovely rural views) Stylish interior with lots of options for guests to be comfortable. Lovely patios and garden areas.
A bit of noise from the adjoining room and a cool breakfast poached egg doesn't ruin a break!
Location
The room was very small
Staff friendly and efficient. Great breakfast!
Comfortable bed.
Ridiculously small. We only had tiny cases but were tripping over them. Just too small to be in any way comfortable.
The rooms were well appointed and comfortable Dinner was amazing The hosts were very attentive Food was first class Will stay here again
Nothing
Quiet and well appointed with very good staff, also evening meal was very good and well presented
We stayed for a night whilst enjoying the nearby Shesley Walsh hill climb. What a find! Lovely room, spotless and very comfortable. Fantastic food and drink, from pub grub to a la carte. Really friendly and efficient staff, nothing too much trouble. Lovely view from the terrace across the valley. Fresh and tasty full cooked breakfast. All in all, a brilliant stay.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
Amazing stay, special shout out to Katy - she was fantastic. Great room, bed and breakfast. The only thing I would say is blackout curtains would be better but other than that a 10/10 stay. We will definitely return ☺️
This is a pub with rooms. The rooms are good without being outstanding, but the quality of the staff and the quality of the food marks it up to the top level.
The rooms were very warm. Fans were provided, but even they weren’t enough.
Wonderful in every way. Especially our delicious breakfast and grand bathroom!! Will be coming back.
Good food
No hot water Gurgling noise in pipework all night
