Bellissima stanza, pulita, niente panorama sul mare, sulla strada principale del paese ma molto tranquilla la sera e la notte perché non si può transitare con le auto, residenti e ospiti hotels a parte. Ottima colazione. Parcheggio di fronte preziosissimo.

The staff were all lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere and we spent a lot of time sitting on the outside terrace. The complimentary coffee machine was very welcome as was the honesty bar. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and served by the very lovely Diane. We’d love to visit again but would make sure we had a better choice of room. There were lots of guests who had visited many times before so that says a lot about the hotel.

We only had the choice of room 10 as we booked very late during a busy period so that was our fault really, but the room was very dark and a bit gloomy. We did obviously see the photos of the room before our stay but it is much darker in reality. We chose to sleep in there only really and avoided spending time in there as much as possible. Fortunately the lovely guest lounge and terrace gave us a very pleasant alternative. The Wi-Fi in the room hardly worked and the phone signal was very poor too, it was much better downstairs.

Although there was parking, it was quite difficult to get in and out when bigger vehicles parked in there.

The breakfast was lovely. Plenty of choice and cooked to perfection. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We really felt at home there. The location in the village was low down so very accessible to the harbour, pubs and restaurants. The location to drive off to Looe, fiery, Plymouth and other places worth visiting was great.

There was just one small thing that would have made it better. When going back to our room after long days out. We like to watch a little tv. But we found it to be very poor signal. And as there was no sky then very little choice of programs to watch. This did not spoil our whole experience though. And we will definitely be returning to the Claremont.

Die Unterkunft hat eine hervorragende Lage - mitten im Ort, aber dennoch einige Meter außerhalb der „Touristenmassen“, sodass es recht ruhig war. Das Frühstück war fantastisch. Man konnte jeden Morgen neu wählen und hatte verschiedene Gerichte zur Auswahl.

Unser Zimmer war sehr sehr klein, was es kaum möglich machte, sich zu zweiz im Raum zu bewegen. Dafür gab es einen süßen Aufenthaltsraum, in dem wir gerne gesessen und gelesen haben.

Breakfast and service was brilliant,Diane went above and beyond looking after us ,becky on receptionwas very helpful highly recommend this hotel .

The Claremont is based in the heart of Polperro It has such a welcoming feeling and a beautiful front porch with colourful flower troughs, such a lovely area to wake up to and have breakfast. Staff were friendly and the breakfast choices were really very good. The room was on the smaller side but we had two bay windows, the bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed in the room to make it a comfortable stay. We will definitely book The Claremont again. Thank you.

Nothing much to dislike, it was an old building no air conditioning, however a fan was provided in the room.

The hotel was in the centre of Polperro with its own car park. We had a lovely, small double room that allowed dogs. They was a relaxing lounge area where you could help yourself to coffee,tea, and hot chocolate and an honesty bar, which you paid for on check out. The breakfast was included with a big selection. The owners were very welcoming and also gave us a gift bag for the dog. 100% recommend for a relaxing weekend break

Claremont Hotel is superbly placed in the heart of Polperro - with the added bonus of parking. The breakfasts were always great, we tried several of the cooked options, full English, pancakes, eggs royale, smoked haddock with poached eggs and were very happy with whichever we had chosen. The service provided by every member of the team that we met was excellent- friendly informative and always cheery.

Everything!!!!….central to Polperro, its own parking, the friendliness of the staff, the tasty breakfast…. nothing bad to say about our stay.

Property was immaculate and the staff especially Di couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was fab. The hotel was right in the middle of Polpero with parking available opposite. A real bonus given that Polpero has a non parking policy.

Outside area was lovely filled with plants but needs a little TLC. However highly recommended.

We chose the Claremont because they offer free parking, a real bonus in Polperro. The breakfast menu was really good and the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Check-in was quick, the staff were friendly and helpful. They operate an honesty bar at very reasonable prices and there is a hot drinks machine in the bar area free for residents to use. There is a terrace with comfy tables and chairs, perfect to sit and people watch. Special mention to Diane who went out of her way to make our stay special.

The hotel is a former fisherman’s cottage. It has steps from the street to reception and very steep stairs to the rooms.

Just about every aspect was excellent. Good location, very friendly and attentive staff and excellent breakfast.

Wifi not working in our room. Access to upstairs rooms difficult with luggage up step and narrow staircase.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht und hat uns am Nachmittag der Ankunft zum einchecken angerufen damit wir weniger Stress mit der Uhrzeit haben (17:00 ist Schluss). Es gab eine tee-station im Zimmer, beim Frühstück ( Frühstücksraum angenehm) gab es Hafermilch und ein vegetarisches Frühstück. Parkplatz gegenüber vom Hotel im Hof inklusive. Es gibt in der Lobby eine honest Bar wo man sich auf Vertrauensbasis Getränke nehmen und aufschreiben kann. Wasser im Zimmer war heiß und es gab eine anständige Mischbatterie am Waschbecken. Bei Ankunft und Betreten der Lobby traf uns ein stechender Hundegeruch, sehr unangenehm. Nicht nur das hunde im Hotel sein können, es gab in der Lobby extra Decken und Betten welche Hundegeruch ausgedünstet haben. Ob die Hunde auch in unserem Zimmer waren weiß ich nicht aber alles ist mit Teppich voll und ich hatte mit meinen Asthma starke Probleme. Dieses Hotel hat seine besten Tage hinter sich, es war ziemlich runtergerockt, vor allem von außen, und auf gar keinen Fall 175 Pfund wert. Wir haben jetzt diese Woche jeden Abend in einem anderen Hotel geschlafen und jedes war hochwertiger und günstiger als dieses. Dekokissen und Tagesdecken im Zimmer könnten mal eine Wäsche gebrauchen

A bit aged , but comfortable. The parking space in front is a huge benefit for anyone road tripping through Cornwall. Breakfast is delicious and the staff are lovely!

The photos on the website are a bit misleading. They are accurate - to a degree- in that they hide the age of the hotel. Don’t let it stop you, it’s a fantastic location in polperro, and the staff are wonderful. Just don’t expect the ritz (well you wouldn’t at this price anyway ). Good value for the money !

Great location short walk from the harbour one of a few places with car parking which is a big plus. Lots of pubs and places to eat also great if you like coastal walks. Lovely clean rooms beds very comfortable tea and coffee in room and from reception via machine. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

All good .Parking was close and easy . The Hotel in general was well located decorated in sharp clean colours .The lady on reception was so helpful explaining everything . The room was well presented and comfortable. If we return to Polperro we would definitely stay again.

There was a noise in the room like a distant fog horn although not loud it was annoying. It may have been something to do with the central heating .

The hotel was in a great location within the Polperro village. It has its own car park immediately across the lane. The whole facility was super clean. The owners and staff were all super friendly as were the other guests while we were there. The breakfasts were always freshly cooked and very tasty and filling. Free coffees and teas both in your room and in the lounge were appreciated too.

No real dislikes. However the stairs to the bedrooms were quite steep. Not a problem for most but could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues.

Breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The lounge area was very comfortable with good reading material and complimentary tea and coffee.

The room was cramped and the en suite bathroom in particular was very cramped with a tiny sink. The bathroom door didn't close properly either.

Beds very comfortable, breakfast very good, very friendly staff. Having a car park was a godsend and being so close to the village centre was great!

We had been warned about the stairs but feel the second set of stairs would be easier and safer with the installation of a hand rail on the wall side.

Excellent location, great, advantageous parking. Nice breakfast. 'Honesty bar' is a nice touch but with a cctv camera pointing at it and credit card taken on arrival not sure how much they are trusting Honesty..staff were friendly.

We had the 'budget friendly' room 10. Internal view was certainly Internal. Room nice enough but is a bit dark not for those wanting a bright airy room with bit more of a view. Condensation over night left some water on inside of window ledge. The hotel will tell you it's not a fact they hide and it wasn't an issue for us staying a couple of nights. I did email ahead asking to confirm if we were in room 10 explaining we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and offered us to pay to move rooms. A nice touch perhaps would have been a card or a free drink just to elevate our customer experience.

The radiator in the bathroom was quite close to the toilet system, we couldn't adjust the theromalstate as it was really hot, I did catch my leg on it.

Room was clean but smelt of dog even though it was a dog free room. Bathroom very small but functional. Breakfast excellent. However we did not like the fact that dogs are allowed into breakfast room. Not very hygienic. Good parking, always got a space.

Fabulous cosy and comfortable, easy walk to the harbour, pubs and restaurants. Beautifully decorated and furnished, every little detail thought of. Breakfast amazing such a wonderful choice. Staff were so friendly. Loved the doggy welcome bag. Loved the fact you could take dog into breakfast with you and he had a sausage.

Excellent location in the centre of the village with picturesque harbour, pubs and restaurants a short walk away. Guaranteed parking space in private car park is gold dust in Polperro. Great freshly cooked breakfast, comfortable guest lounge with maps & guide books, complimentary tea/coffee and honesty bar. Covered verandah. Big comfy bed and excellent water pressure. Our room (6) had an outdoor deck area (but no view), plenty of USB sockets, good WiFi and a mini fridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we even got a call to check we were going to arrive before reception closed.

Narrow steep stairs and no lift, compact room and small bathroom. Fridge was a bit noisy at night.

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a funeral the next day, Dianne at breakfast was particularly helpful, very friendly and chatty as well as efficient , she is an asset to the Hotel , she sorted that we could leave our car in the hotel car park even after we had checked out so we could attend the funeral in the local church , we were very grateful for this act of kindness.

We stayed for 3 nights end of August . And it was brilliant . I liked the fact that it was Adults only as well . Becky and Diane our point of contact during the stay were most welcoming and made us feel at ease . The breakfasts were all freshly prepared and the best I’ve eaten in this country. The choice of breakfasts were great as well and they set us up for the day. There is also a 24/7 coffee machine to help yourself on site which I thought was a great idea . And choice of drinks and snacks at the honesty bar. The cleanliness was second to none . We enjoyed having breakfast on the sheltered terrace but there is also a dining room as well. Some aspects of the interior does need updating especially the room we were in . Which was up in the eaves and was clad in wooden pine reminiscent of a chalet . The other thing with this room was the toilet was extremely small and tight and in fact had just been fashion off the corner of the bedroom . the actual bath and shower were on a different level so you had to go up and down a small flight of stairs which was extremely inconvenient. The wash basin was in the actual bedroom . The room was the only disappointing thing of this hotel . Everything else was excellent. The shower was great and the toiletries were all you could require . We would like to visit again but would stay in a different room . The staff are a credit to this hotel .

No atmosphere. No friendly welcome. Says dog friendly, but charges £20 per dog per night because of ‘extra cleaning!’ Insisted on taking bank details ‘ on file’ to charge for (as quoted by receptionist) any ‘damage’ to room.. ‘ as other people have trashed the rooms’…. But this isn’t necessary as payment has already been made when booking the room.. and any further charges made would need to be discussed and could be paid at that point. Holding people bank details, having been demanded!.. goes against st GDPR rules. And to state all this within seconds of arriving , parking , unpacking bags and arriving felt really insulting. Not all customers are going to trash the rooms, not all customers deserve to be treated with such disrespect & blunt treatment.

A lovely hotel. Stayed in many rooms and this room was a little small but comfortable. Would recommend to anyone that this is the place to stay in polperro. The breakfasts are delicious and fresh.

A wonderful stay, warm and welcoming staff. Superb breakfasts, comfortable bedrooms with en-suite shower and a focus on recycling and the environment with immediate access to the historic fishing village of Polperro.
