Lembongan Sanctuary Villas

Everything about Sanctuary Villas is spectacular. The view was out of this world, I could have spent the whole time just looking out the window. Easy walk down to the deck for dining options, very well stocked kitchen (and fridge), and the pool in the courtyard was perfect, great temperature to spend hours in the pool with the kids. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and organized our transfers to and from the mainland which went so smoothly. We will definitely return to this villa when we are next in Lembongan. My stay at Sanctuary Villas was PERFECT from start to finish. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, so helpful and polite, every staff member I met during my stay here was absolutely wonderful. The villa itself, well, WOW. I stayed in villa 5 and the view was out of this world. The villa itself is huge, and very well equipped. You are only a few minutes walk down to plenty of restaurant options and the beach is only a couple of minutes away. This was an incredible stay and if I am ever lucky enough to come back to Bali, I will stay here again!

The apartment with the plunge pool was amazing, relaxing and comfortable with all you need for a short or long stay in Nusa Lembongan. Staff were attentive and friendly but also left you to enjoy your stay witb your family. It was so close to many places to eat, the beach, and shops. There was also an excellent delivery service or a pick up/drop off service from many restaurants around the island. Lots of great advice was given during your stay and you could also book activities through the apartment. Would highly recommend Lembongan Sanctuary Villas to stay. Transfers to and from Bali were flawless. Great place, great people on a beautiful island.

My wife and I stayed at Lembongan Sanctuary Villas for 7 days and found it very hard to leave. The view is breathtaking and the service is excellent! Cheers Shane

We overall had a nice stay at the property, and I would love to give it a higher review, but a couple of things were disappointing. We had the room with the infinity pool that you see in their marketing, but the view is now partially blocked by a new construction (I had been dreaming of the original view for months!). Speaking of which, it was disconcerting to be told when we checked in that there would be noise from the construction, which was feet away from the end of our balcony, and that we could cancel through Expedia and book somewhere else if we wanted. If they anticipated a problem, I wish we had been told ahead of time so we could have made an informed decision, not at 6:30 PM after a long day of travel. In reality, the construction noise was not a concern as we spent the days exploring, but it would have been if we had wanted to just relax at the property during the day. Also, it did not bother us, but others might take issue with the condition of the villa - lots of wear and tear on the furniture, rust, strained/thread-worn towels, etc. It has definitely been "well-loved" since the property was built and could benefit from a remodel/refresh.

Ours was a beautiful ocean view villa with a private plunge pool. We were a bit disappointed as we thought we'd be getting infinity pool but does not exist. Beautiful surroundings but...... the stairs are a killer. 200 odd stairs 😐 okay going down to beach but getting back up wasn't good. I don't recommend for people not fit

Lembongan Sanctuary Villas was a fabulous property. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Very friendly and welcoming. They helped us with scooter hire and a few other things on our stay. The room we had was absolutely amazing although our view was particially obstructed as another hotel had built a ridiculous roof right infront of ocean view the staff were so apologetic and it wasnt even their fault. We appreciated their honesty. The villa was awesome comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Highly recommend this property great location and the staff made our stay! Thank you

LSV was a wonderful place to stay in Lembognan! The view from our villa was stunning! Gede was so helpful and accommodating as well as all the staff. Just a note, there are lots of stairs to climb up and down to the beach, but we didn't mind the extra workout :) Would highly recommend LSV to anyone visiting the island!

The management told us on arrival that there was construction and it might be noisy and they would refund if we weren’t satisfied. The new building directly in front of our now built out ocean view, not what the pictures showed. Jackhammers and drop saws. Within 10 mins we said no as per the instructions of the manager Janu didn’t cancel but sought refund. The manager then left the island and denied a complete refund kept $350 and we had to find another place to stay at double the price. So exhausted after a full day of travel and then to fight with the management to try and get our money back. The worst deceitful and dishonest situation we have had in 40 years of travelling…. The 200 stairs from the bottom of the hill didn’t help. I would not give these people the time of day absolutely awful and didn’t reply to any request from Expedia to supply a written acknowledgment of the agreement we had when we arrived. Terrible terrible experience

Loved our stay! They made it really easy to get mopeds, were quick to respond to anything we needed and the views were stunning! Easy enough to walk or moped to anywhere on the island. We would love to come back someday!

Absolutely loved our stay. Villa is perfect, stunning view and so clean. The staff are wondeful and go above and beyond- we highly recommended Sanctuary Villas. As it states there are stairs- and lots of them.

Amazing views and spacious apartment. Brilliant service from cleaners and other staff. Apartment is a little run down but still beautifully clean.

The manager Janu, and his front desk manager Gede, were terrific to deal with, exceptionally accommodating. I only have 2 complaints. First is the villa, we had a 1 bedroom private villa..we were on the first floor, absolutely not what I expected, pretty butthurt about that. Atleast could have given us the upper level. Especially because we only stayed 2 nights, would have been a nice gesture and we would have enjoyed the villa that much more. My second issue was the restaurant at the bottom of the steps. Food was good, but the service was terrible, I have had better service at a McDonald's than that, pathetic. Not necessarily on the hotel, but they do provide you with their menu and information in your room, so they must be affiliated. Thanks

Amazing views!! Janu and his team are very helpful. We stayed in villa 3 and was great with a plunge pool. There are steps down to the bay and a few restaurants options. Will definitely come back

Aged and owners.dpnt Seam to want to spend on... Thus giving it a realist 7/10, staff were amazing :-) Rats were trying to enter on the last night. Air-conditioning was extremely undersized and needed another unit. A little more cleaning of kitchen, bathroom and floors is a good suggestion. Great location :-) just be warned... It does get stupidly hot in the avo with the top unit next to the walkway and out children struggled most nights.

Beautiful view, very nice and friendly staffs. There’s a communication problem between us through Expedia. We don’t know the reason because both parties try hard to reach each other. The location is not convenient to restaurants and shops, have to climb 150 steps, however that’s the price of a good view. Facilities are a bit old but clean. In general, is good.

Lovely villas with stunning views. A short walk down to restaurants and beach (approx 2min). Staff are extremely helpful and will organise private snorkeling at standard rates. Comfortable beds, air con and plunge pool. Will definitely stay again.

Great service. Staff are very friendly. Respond quickly if need help . They do twice a day room tidy up. Buy didn't change towels until 3 days . air-conditioning stopped working 2 times during we staying. But Manager organised mechanic came fix very quickly. Overall was great experience staying. Close to shops and restaurants.

Gede and his staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. The villa (no. 7) was a decent size and had every amenity you could wish for, including a fully stocked kitchen and a plunge pool. The villa was within easy reach of some high quality restaurants. Lembongan Divers (recommended) within a short walking distance.

View was amazing. Was central for all of our activities. Staff so friendly.

Highly recommend, Stayed solo on 3rd level with plunge pool and lovely View.

Villa was spacious and the view was sensational. The villa is located high up on the hill and because of this you need to traverse about 130 steps down to the beach or to some lovely little restaurants below. Everyone, from villa manager to cleaners are very attentive and do everything to make your stay a happy one.

We had Villa 5. The view is amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Close to restaurants but the room had the best stocked mini bar I’ve ever seen, and also the cheapest! We rented a scooter from reception and rode around the island. We’d stay here again :)

The view is breathtaking! Access to rooms is difficult for older people or kids. I would not have booked the property if I knew. Don’t even think about it if you are disabled. There are about 200 uneven, poorly maintained and lit steps with no handrails between the road at the top and the beach/ restaurants at the bottom and your room will be at the top.

Beautiful location and overall really helpful staff. However, it's important to note that there's building works going on around the property, so some of the villas look out onto rubble (as well as the stunning beach view).

The stafff were all wonderfull and the place is very ambient with a view that is unbelievable, I didn’t really enjoy the steps but it wouldn’t stop me from going back

Amazing place to stay. The infinity pool was spectacular with an incredible view. Very clean rooms. Great amenities with water and cooking facilities provided. I can’t rate this place highly enough and would definitely come back! My only suggestion for improvement would be to have slightly nicer towels and a double bed instead of two singles put together

We loved staying at this villa. The view was wonderful and the staff were very helpful. The villa had everything we needed plus extras. We cant wait to return.

The staff were great, room was fantastic and the fridge being restocked as required as the prices were excellent and wasn’t worth the effort to get them yourself.

We were stoked when we arrived here, the decor and view are sweeeet. The staff were great, waiting for us off the boat. Never seen a more stocked mini bar which was great as when my partner got food poisoning from ware ware down on the waterfront I just chilled in the pool with my bintangs and barely left. Only downside is when my partner went to reheat some food that he got the microwave didn't work but meh, no big deal really. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Amazing

Lovely views, clean well tended, comfortable stylish rooms. Really friendly and helpful staff who make you feel really taken care of. They’ve put a lot of effort into making sure every aspect of your stay is great. Lots of wonderful little touches like coming in every evening to put out mosquito coils or having a huge spring water jug in the kitchen. Only downside is no hotel pool with general area to lounge although the rooms have their own dipping pools and there are plenty of other places to hang by the pool nearby.

The infinity pool and view were amazing, but the property was poorly manacured and the living space wasn’t comfortable (dirty chairs, no AC, small TV, WiFi that never worked, dodgy kitchen).

No water several days, No direct food access, eat at the local restaurants at three times the normal Bali rates or go hungry. When the water was on the hot water was a trickle. A great view but that was it! No local transportation other than motor bikes

Janu, Comet and his team were amazing. Perfect location, and the view is incredible!!! Very clean and well attended to. Only downside is going up and down the stairs however I needed the exercise after everything I was eating and drinking!

Great villa with easy walk to surf beaches and sunset spots and restaurants. Easy to organise scooter to get around the rest of the island. Very friendly and helpful staff!!

Loved our stay and the staff were excellent, yes there is work going on around the villas but it didn't interfere with our time there in any way. We think there could be some improvements in the reception area and the toilet next door to it, makes you wonder what you are checking into, but after we were taken to our Villa all was forgotten, the infinity pool was so lovely,the view was amazing, mini bar well stocked, the bed was so comfortable, if you need anything it was there in a flash by one of the staff. The only complaint is the steps up and down to our villa but it made us fit, but well worth the effort, lots of restaurants near by, we had our Wedding Anniversary dinner at "Muntigs" in the Resort next door, food was fantastic and the manager and staff made it special. I would certainly recommend Sanctuary Villas, go for the Mid level or the top level. Regards Ann and Rob
