Chumash Casino Resort

Everything was wonderful! The only thing was that a guest came over with a dog and spoiled the holiday a little. Dog owners should clearly understand that they can’t disturb the neighbors!

The staff, everyone was so kind and helpful. Loved that each room had a balcony. The room was very nice and comfortable. Beautiful location.

The food is terrible. Not much to choose from. The concert venue was ok at best. No refreshments at the show. Not even water at a concert. All of the best seats were reserved for high rollers and it was a very large section. The casino was complicated. Not much room to walk and there were obstacles in the main walkways. Not easy to navigate.

The room wasn’t ready until an hour+ after check-in time. It took 20 minutes to get our car from the valet. The toilet in our room kept refilling/noisy.

The pool is very nice and the restaurants are good.

This is the third time I have stayed at this property and each time the staff at check in are not friendly. This time the person bordered on being rude and I literally had to stand in line for a while, it was hot and busy. I greeted the person and they were not friendly or helpful. I’m taking it personally.

Atmosphere is a smoke house. If you’re already a smoker then no big deal. Probably don’t even need cigarettes. Just walk in and breathe. It’s like they light whole cartons into the air. Worst place to gamble!!! The RTP must’ve been turned down significantly… even the employees agree with this. The las Vegas strip is supposed to be bad odds but I have so much better luck CONSISTENTLY in Vegas than I EVER have at Chumash. Such a rip off.

From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed-smiling faces, very helpful staff. Our room was beautiful, very updated and clean. The 3rd floor eating area was either fine dining or the sports bar-we chose the sports bar -a great choice. The food was 😋 delicious Lots of fun in the casino. They are continuing to work on the upgrade and we look forward to seeing it.

We enjoyed our stay in this resort. It was our first time so we didn't know what to expect. The service was great. The staff were friendly. The regular room was bigger than usual. The room was clean. The toiletries were good. It had everything we needed to get a restful stay. I would love to revisit when I'm in the area.

Location and the Wellness Spa is fantastic! Very happy with my room facing the Vineyard’s.

The room was great. It was clean & comfortable. We got massages at the spa which were amazing! All of the staff we interacted with throughout the entire hotel, spa & casino were incredibly friendly! This includes bar & restaurant staff! Everyone was great!

Staff is very kind and courteous. They gave everyone in my party a late checkout on our last day which was very helpful since our event wasn't going to begin until 6 hours after our checkout time.

Seems like they ask you for your ID a lot. We just needed to get to our car and needed to walk through the casino for not even a minute and we needed to show our IDs. We also needed our IDs to go to the pool and had no intention on drinking there. But if you know to bring your ID with you everywhere it wasn’t a huge inconvenience.

Pool furniture by fire pits had spider webs - not cleaned View of AC units - first time staying isn’t impressive. I’d highly consider putting brand new customers in a really nice room for them to remember how great the resort is.

Room was Comfortable and liked the balcony. Beds very comfy. Bathroom pretty and well appointed with jacuzzi tub. It seemed like it was newly renovated.

Smokey casino! I wish the air filters were improved to reduce smoke better!. the non-smoking area was nice, but a bit small.

The valet parking was chaos! We were trying to get into the valet area, were directed into a massive tribe of work trucks and could barely get out of our car! Seriously, there was no one in valet hut these trucks! That whole thing is a one star!! The hotel was super nice! Food choices not so much until you got to the sport book! That was actually really good! But let’s get to the casino! The machines were in disrepair! Buttons were broken and wiring was exposed! Buttons were worn off snd could not be read!! And the gambling!! Well let’s say it was worse than any other casino we’ve ever been to! NO will not EVER go back here!

Clean casino floor that seemed small and uninviting. It seems old and smokey. We found out it is 30yrs old. Plenty of parking. Food court area looked really nice.

The Chumash Resort Hotel is a great place for a quick get away on the central coast of California. Located in the western town of Santa Ynez amongst vineyards and rolling hills, this hidden gem provides a 1st class experience. The rooms are large and well equipped with new decor.

I just wish we could stay longer.

I was amazed at how beautiful the room was. It was very modern and clean. The personnel at the hotel were so friendly. The casino is awesome. I can't imagine why anyone would want to go to Vegas over Chumash Casino Resort!

The location was convenient to surrounding attractions. The hotel was very clean and modern. The room was spacious with a sofa, table and chair perfect for business/pleasure travel, ample outlets for your devices. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. I recommend this hotel.

Easy to get to, easy to park, won a little. Really nice place, no to smoky and there is a non smoking room. I did not stay at the resort so I can't speak to the hotel or food parts. But the casino was a lot of fun.

I had a great experience here. My first interaction with the staff was at the parking structure when I asked a Chumash employee for directions; he was friendly and helpful. At the check-in desk, the staff were very welcoming and professional. My room was very clean, modern, and comfortable. I went to the casino to play and eat. I ate at the restaurant, and the food was well prepared, fresh, and affordable. Overall, an excellent experience. I highly recommend Chumash Casino Resort. I will definitely be coming back.

Not much food…After 3 the only place in to eat is the sports bar. I don’t care for spicy food and most of the items on the menu we’re spicy. So they really don’t have many eating places there. We had to go to town to eat, not what I wanted to do.

Hotel Location is a very pleasant area of wine country. But don’t expect high end Las Vegas. Sad that the casino sticks out like a sore thumb in green rolling hills. The group that runs the long term planning should find someone with a cultural and artistic vision, the current brand new buildings look like a 1960’s idea of a casino on a budget, completely lacking in creative imagination. Finding the lobby from the parking garage is unclear due to sign placement and poor lighting at the entrance. Atmosphere is adequate in the rooms, they are very clean and are tastefully appointed. The toilet and sliding glass doors seem very cheap, shower was nicely done, room is comfortable although dimly lit even with all the lights on. WiFi is unsecured and cell phone reception was usually poor. I thought the latch was broken on my balcony door but when I reported it to main desk they said it was supposed to not latch because the fire department needed access. I couldn’t believe it so he repeated the reason. This is a first for any building anywhere I have ever been if this is true. My balcony was only about 5’ above a large flat roof so anyone from an adjoining room could hop down to the roof and climb up my balcony into my room. I woke up continually during the night and glanced toward the windows. This especially puts women in a difficult position knowing anyone could come in through the balcony. When checking in reception asked if I wanted to be far from the elevator or close. I said “close as long as it wasn’t right on top of the elevator”. I got off the elevator for the first time and looked straight at my room without taking a step, it wasn’t possible to be any closer, and everyone getting in or off the elevator would stare straight at my door, would you pick that exact room? The Casino areas have a typical casino feel, you completely forget where you are in the world. Restaurant I ate at said there was probably a 20 minute wait for seating so I choose to sit at the bar for faster service. Between waiting for a menu and ordering it took 30 min for the food to arrive. Food was good quality and not cheap. People behind the bar were constantly talking about how busy they were. I drive a lot up and down the California coast and was looking for an alternative place to stay but this place is big and doesn’t feel welcoming on a human scale. I shouldn’t be surprised because they really are catering to daily gamblers.

Convenient to Solvang, Chumash Museum, and the casino. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Excellent food at Cafe and the Bar.

Check in starts at 4 pm and check out is 11 am. Very late. Casino extremely noisy and overcrowded. Loved the old slot machines but they are replaced by computer video games.

We like the location and we like the casino, but it was very smoky. Restaurant were OK in general. We were happy with that.
