Our stay at Atami Sekaie was truly exceptional. The food was excellent, with every meal beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. What impressed us most was the thoughtful arrangement for the Atami Sun Beach fireworks show — everything was so well planned and organised, allowing us to enjoy the spectacular fireworks without any hassle. The beautiful surroundings, attentive service and attention to detail made our stay a truly memorable one. An excellent experience from start to finish!

Amazing rooms (we had booked two for our family travel) and private onsen. Staff was very helpful and kaiseki dinner was amazing! I wish we could have spent even more time.

The views were amazing and the room was beautiful. But what made it truly an excellent stay were the warm and attentive staff - they were friendly and enthusiastic in responding to our questions, and in sharing with us about Atami and Japan. Special mention goes to the staff who welcomed us and served us our meals during our stay (eg Ms Yang, Youta, etc), as they made this first trip to Atami extra special. Thank you to all the staff!

The facilities were excellent - clean, great quality, comprehensive. The room was a bit of a squeeze for our family - 2 adults, 2 children (8 and 11 years old), but overall it was still comfortable and enjoyable. It was nice to have our own onsen out at the balcony. Public onsen was really excellent, with free drinks provided at the super comfortable rest area. Most commendable is the personalized service - all the hotel staff were so polite, professional, helpful and thoughtful - thank you! Special mention to Zark, who attended to us for our meals throughout the stay. He was new but had the most sincere and earnest spirit - all the best to you Zark and thank you for your kind and helpful attentiveness!

On the pricier side. We also got a lot of insect bites, which seemed to have come into the room through the night despite the netted door.

This stay was paradise. Exceptional service from the minute we arrived. Delicious kaiseki breakfast and dinner. A very relaxing stay. Perfect place to relax.

Warning to all American tourist: the breakfast is inedible. The breakfast consists of a lot of raw fish and pickles and rice. This did not seem like a good breakfast. The dinners were equally challenging and that they served raw lobster that was also an edible. They insisted that we take our shoes off and they provided us with slippers. But the slippers did not fit because Japanese feet are very small. I'm a size 11. And there has no slippers for me so I had to walk around in size 7 slippers nearly falling over constantly. They were not very hospitable to accommodate American Tourists and I suggest that American tourist avoid this location.

Beautiful and well appointed rooms, very spacious and thoughtfully furnished with a generous range of amenities, delicious dinner and breakfast, amazing view of the ocean from the private bath. And from the roof!

Public bath was rather disappointing but more than offset by the niceness of the private in-room bath.

The staff were uniformly friendly and my wife and I greatly appreciated their attempts to communicate with us in English. We were particularly impressed with the front desk and waitering staff in the teppanyaki hall.

We thought the in-suite snacks were sub-standard for an establishment of this prestige. We also stayed at the Kyoto Fufu and we thoroughly enjoyed their snacks. When we arrived at the train station, there was ~10 minutes of confusion as we looked for our shuttle bus; a sign on the side of the shuttle or a placard held by the driver would have alleviated the stress.

Phenomenal service and excellent dinner. Private onsen and room are very well designed. Bath, shower, and restroom are great. Going through the shower area to the onsen is a good design. Small touches like a great hair dryer were so good that it inspired us to get a hair dryer ourselves. They gave us gifts since we were on our honeymoon. They paid attention to small preferences for dinner, and tried their best to speak English. They offer shuttle service. The massage service was great as well.

Das Zimmer war außergewöhnlich schön eingerichtet und verfügte über einen privaten Onsen mit Meerblick. Frühstück und Abendessen wurden von sehr freundlichem Personal serviert – herzliche Grüße an dieser Stelle! Besonders bemerkenswert war, dass sich das Personal sehr bemüht hat, auf Englisch zu kommunizieren, und auch die Speisekarten in englischer Sprache zur Verfügung standen. Beim Abendessen probierten wir die japanische Variante, was für uns das erste Mal war, dass wir die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten der japanischen Küche ausprobierten – alles war äußerst lecker. Besonders praktisch war auch der Taxi-Service ohne Extragebühr, der uns jederzeit zum Hotel und Bahnhof brachte. Ich werde das Hotel meiner Familie und Freunden empfehlen – das mache ich sonst nie. Alles in allem hat mich der Aufenthalt weit mehr begeistert, als ich erwartet hatte.

Alles in allem ein perfekter Aufenthalt, es gibt wirklich nichts zu kritisieren.

This onsen has a reasonable location. Just a short shuttle bus ride to Atami station. The in room onsen bath was very spacious and good. Shuttle service is free for a once a day round trip while you stay and made by your requested schedule.

Food was just in the OK range. Certainly not Kaiseki quality as offered. Variety was good but too may small dishes and frequently overcooked fish.

房間就可以看到無敵海景，露天浴池在陽台，可以邊泡湯邊欣賞美景。早晚餐的懷石料理更是非常非常豪華，不但菜色獨一無二，味道無可挑剔，服務人員更是周到，逐一介紹菜品，更親切與我們交談。冰箱mini bar 不但品項豐富而且全部免費。泡完湯休息區甚至還有免費啤酒可以享用。旅館還有來自台灣會說中文的服務人員，更是備感親切。

價格稍微高了些。

Das perfekte Ryokan-Erlebnis: stillsichere Ausstattung, umwerfender Blick (auch aus dem privaten Onsen) auf das Meer, Essen vom Feinsten - und unglaublich zuvorkommendes Personal. Daher auch: seinen (hohen) Preis wert. Überhaupt: wer kann, sollte sich als Japanbesucher*in ein Ryokan der Spitzenklasse nicht entgehen lassen. Zumindest einmal im Leben.

The hotel is very accommodating and all the staff try their best to help you as much as possible. Despite arriving at Atami station around 7pm due to delay in our Shinkansen because of heavy rain, we were picked up in a private van at the station and transported to the accommodation with ease. The reception staff spoke fluent English which made our check-in process very smooth. The private onsen on our balcony was amazing and the view from our room was stunning. The kaiseki breakfast and dinner were delicious and extremely healthy too, and on one of the nights, we got to experience the teppanyaki style dinner in the other building which was another level delicious. The hotel amenities were of high quality and they had a range of complimentary drinks available to guests.

The pillows were quite soft for my liking and the room was smaller than anticipated. The separate toilet room was also quite small. Due to the location of the accommodation, in order to get to Atami station, you need to either take the shuttle or a taxi, but this is arranged for you by the staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay that we decided to extend it by another night. The room was spacious, open air onsen was relaxing, and the view was gorgeous. We had the kaiseki dinner and it was the best meal I had in Japan. Staff was amazing and super accommodating.
