Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Ich genoss das Bad im See am Abend und am Morgen. Das "Wanderhaus" ist ein Prachtstück. Herrlich, dass das Haus am See zugänglich gemacht worden ist und dort nun eine Jugi steht. Das Personal und der Service war super. Toll, dass ich mir mein Essen in der Jugi aufwärmen und dort auf der Sonnenterrasse verspeisen durfte! Vielen Dank und vielleicht ein anderes Mal.

Интернет только на Erdgeschoss. Но может это в силу гор не просто.

On peut manger sur place pour 20 euros, cuisine simple mais bonne,plat unique à volonté, par contre le bémol,le dîner est servi à 18 heures, nous français on est pas habitué à manger si tôt,et si vous dormez dans le chalet du fond il n'y a pas de wifi,un peu gênant si on n'a pas la carte sim

Niets. Had 2 bedden geboekt op 4 persoonskamer en wist dat het stapelbed werd. Wel even klauteren 😉

Reviewed Jun 19, 2024I absolutely LOVED this hostel. It's just a beautiful as the photos show. The character of the heritage building is lovely. It oozes with the feeling of a secluded summer lodge, yet is close enough to interlaken to get to everything easily. The staff were kind, helpful and welcoming. They provided me gluten free buns for breakfast.

The shared rooms didn't have a working locker although the description said so. There were only two shower rooms.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2023This hostel has a beautiful view and is right on the lake. But the WiFi situation is terrible! No WiFi in the rooms and poor signal in the common area. The property is also right next to the train tracks, and the train goes by often and way into the night. There’s also one restaurant close by that I could find, so very few places to eat/shop/etc. Overall, it’s a great spot if you want to sit on the lake and relax, unplugged. Not great if you are a remote worker that needs quality WiFi and restaurants to sit and work at.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2023Fantastic location just by the lake with beautiful view and access to lake beach. Historical property with a very welcoming spirit both for solo travelers, but also plenty of families. Fantastic breakfast. I wish I could have stayed longer.
A small parking space for a couple of motorcycles inside the property would be really nice and wouldn't take much room anywhere. One of the days I had to park the motorcycle away from the property because the parking outside was full and not really suitable to park motorcycles.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2023The staff was very accommodating and kind. I made the mistake of not reserving dinner 24 hours ahead of time and they still kindly let me have dinner at the hostel. The location was amazing! Right on the water with a dock and watercraft for rent (very cheap too!). The sunset over the lake was absolutely beautiful.

The wi-fi was pretty much useless. It wasn't reachable from rooms, or backyard. The only place wi-fi was working was the common dining area.
