Friendly staff
Everything
No kitchen
We did not have breakfast given that we require halal meals.
The room we were in was very nice, we could park our car right in front of it. There was nothing that we didn’t like.
Clean efficient overnight stop. Very comfortable. Diana very welcoming.
The venue was flexible with our travel arrangements after we had a family emergency. Good to see someone happy to help out guests.
It was wow, breath taking Beautiful & Super clean

The staff was extremely friendly and the included breakfast was amazing. Rooms were neat and luxurious
Noise travels quite far from room to room
Very clean rooms and welcoming staff.
We prefer real coffee in the morning.
If I am honest, I didn't like a great deal about the property. It looked ok on Booking.com but was unfortunately a terrible experience once we arrived.
The location in town is terrible, it right on the main road which the locals treat like a race track at night, it was like a scene from the movie 'Fast and Furious', revving engines, screeching tyres, and street racers down the strip. There was also quite a lot of damp around the property and the bathrooms in particular were quite run down, not terrible by any stretch, just paper stuffed into window gaps, cracked toilets, mould, low hot water temp and pressure. The worst element though was that they have longer term guests, I was told they were engineers from the solar farm. They were drunk, very loud until we confronted them at 03:30, hid the key from the external doors so the building stayed insecure throughout the night, and were just generally unpleasant. The manager said they had many complaints about them but I guess they bring a steady income for the guest house. It's a shame as we will NEVER return and I recommend anyone (especially if you have kids like we did) stay well away from this place.
Loved the quiet serenity and friendly staff. The beds, aaah, like sleeping on a cloud.

We have had a number of wonderful stays here, and this is our go to location during our travels to the Cape. The rooms are pristine, and the staff are incredibly hospitable. Diane is lovely, and accommodating! Would highly recommend the Karoo Country House.
Bed and linen was excellent very specious room!Bathroom also fantastic!Room has very luxurious feel but somehow not enough factional.Mirror missing in the room.
Not enough chairs or sofa in the room.Maybe just ottoman. Did not like towels.Needs a bit of softening 😊
I was given a choice between two rooms.
The best B&B i have ever stayed at. It is exceptional in every way. The lady that helped us at reception and breakfast deserves a mention, she was polite and very helpful

The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The aesthetic was also nice and refreshing, and everything was clean and neat. The shower heads were also really nice. Overall, really happy.
Our room was lovely, the staff friendly and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast!
De Aar as a town is rather dull and neglected!
Hot water… genuinely not much to like when you arrive to a room that is a lot smaller than you anticipate based in pictures and it smells of smoke.
Location is on the main road which is noisy. Room was next to main house of the BnB. And is very small. Room smelled of cigarettes and the bed itself had sand on it so.. wasn’t cleaned properly. Apparently the cleaner had an emergency. Overall was the worst place we’ve stayed in all our years of travelling! Couldn’t sleep at all. We woke up and tried to be positive and have the breakfast before leaving which wasn’t great, no filter coffee, yoghurt was off and the bread stale. Nevertheless we tried the omelette as we had paid R1300 for the night which incl breakfast. We managed to get to Bloemfontein but it was a struggle as both my wife and I felt unwell and given that we were fine before breakfast can only assume it had something to do with the food. Staff were friendly and tried to accommodate us and even tried to remove the smell of cigarettes in the room but it didn’t work. Unfortunately would not recommend this place/room!
Beautiful, clean rooms
Clean. Staff friendly. Everything one needs for comfortable overnight stay.
Neighbours were noisy, but that is unavoidable.

The property is comfortable and was a good place to stay over en route home from the Western Cape. Staff very friendly and served up a good breakfast.
Very noisy on the street outside our room. But that's De Aar on a Saturday night I guess.

Clean room, spacious area
Would have liked small plates and or an iron
Noisy inside the house with breakfast but otherwise a lovley stay , clean and comfortable
It’s a magical place in the middle of nowhere which is a huge part of the beauty. The amount and character and attention to detail is incredible! The staff were phenomenal, food was outstanding, and all round a fantastic experience!
Water & electric issues and no tvs in the rooms.
Lovely and clean and well positioned for work.
Super shower and nice bedding.
I would have liked a hairdryer, fresh milk and full DSTV.
Karoo Country House Guesthouse Management was very kind to me . We really enjoyed our time, and management was really good to my family. The owner is always on standby to sort out any misunderstandings.
There was a small misunderstanding with regards to the room and bed size. But the Owner of Karoo Country House was so generous to give us a full refund.
well situated and very clean
windows in the rooms and bathroom/shower are not sealed properly light globe wasnt working before arriving and should have been replaced, took too long and a reminder to be replaced there was no soap in the dispenser in the bathroom upon arriving.

Breakfast fresh and well prepared , staff friendly and attentive. We will be sure to stay here again when next in De Aar
The parking is a bit tight. We had to wait ten minutes for other guests to move their vehicle before we could leave. It would not stop us from staying there again. just a minor inconvenience.
Facilities were very clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was served hot and fresh.
They were busy with construction during my stay so the noise did bother me in the afternoon only.
Die plekkie is pragtig en pynlik netjies. Ontbyt was heerlik en daar was baie moeite gedoen. Stil.en.rustig. Ek sal definitief weer daar gaan bly!!
Loved the scrumptious breakfast, rooms well kept and clean.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. I arrived at the accommodation quite late and the host welcomed me with warmth and even offered to carry my suitcase. Also, my colleague and I ate breakfast early and the staff accommodated us in a very efficient way. Highly recommend 🏆

Lean and comfortable room. Lovely pool area for cooling down after a very hot day driving through the Karoo. Friendly and helpful staff. Secure parking.
The cleanliness, the pool is a great touch, the rooms are beautiful and the breakfast was amazing
Clean and friendly with a lovely breakfast!
Maybe a water cooler in the reception area?
Beautiful rooms, lovely pool. Good to have off street parking
Room is on the street, lots of noise from people and the road before the storm. Very narrow and uncomfortable bed. It needs a new mattress.
Neat and clean, spacious rooms & helpful friendly staff.
