Left Bank Hotel

Convenient location near the railway station, reasonable price, big water dispenser in the room, phenomenal bathroom if you're lucky. The rooms vary a lot in size and furnishing, but with some luck you can get one of the "deluxe" rooms with a big table and a huge bathroom with bathtub.

Unbeknownst to me, this hotel is aimed at a certain "clientele" who only need to rent a room for a few hours - it is what it is, but that's not my main issue with it. The actual issue is that this certain clientele are all heavy smokers and the hotel tolerates these people smoking in the rooms even though officially smoking is forbidden. It's a very old building with an ancient central air conditioning and venting system which connects all rooms on a floor. The smokers all smoke into the air vents to avoid the smoke detectors, which means that the smoke is pumped into all neighboring rooms by the aircon. After complaining, the staff can remove the smoke smell with some ozone machine for a while, but of course it comes back once some low-life shmuck in a neighboring room starts smoking again. If you can't tolerate a permanent background of "old stinky pub smell", better stay away.

Baik dan bersih

Very Close to the train station and temple

Hair dryer went off

Staff is very helpful, polite.

Everything

Nothing, to be honest

The room was smelly and the bathroom was flooded. Absolutely overpriced. Worse part is that they charged me twice (one through booking and again in person, after asuring me they would not go ahead with the booking charge as they needed a physical card) and they are now refusing to answer to my messages.

Washroom was really clean. Room was spacious & mostly okay.

Comfy bed, free laundry facilities. Located very close to train station and busy night markets. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Bad smell in hallway from disinfectant spray. Bathroom not very clean. Street difficult to navigate for pedestrians - especially if you have luggage.
