Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Top-Lage in der Altstadt in einem historischen Konventsgebäude mit wunderschönem Innenhof (ehem. Kreuzgang), besonders abends sehr stimmungsvoll. Der Innenhof war tagsüber auch schöner Aufenthaltsort, allerdings wird am frühen Abend fürs Dinner eingedeckt.
Ungenügende Englischkenntnisse des Rezeptionspersonals (wie leider oft in Nordspanien!), für ein Hotel dieses Anspruchs aber enttäuschend. Die Betten waren uns zu hart, unsere Frage nach einem Matratzen-Topper blieb erfolglos, es konnte keine Abhilfe geschaffen werden. Immerhin konnte die laute Klimaanlage mit einem Griff in den Sicherungskasten ausgeschaltet werden.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Fantastic location in the hart of the old town. Dinners were superb, lovely atmosphere with attentive staff. Wine list is extensive, we enjoyed a lovely spicy oaky red, perfect for meats, a 2022 Pardevalles Carrolón for around €35. So good, we found it locally and got a case! Highly recommend the hotel, it’s something special, but go for a larger room if you can.
Tricky if you are driving in. It’s a one way system and easy to miss the narrow entrance into the old town. Parking was spacious though!

The hotel itself is in a wonderful historic building with a cloisters where you can sit for dinner or drinks and with live music. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice.
The only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

The beds were a little hard and would benefit from mattress toppers.

Both nights we experienced delightful concert music by just opening our window - a lovely soprano one night, and classical guitar the next. That and the exceptional breakfast buffet were welcome treats! We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay here, despite some rainy walking.
The parking was somewhat difficult - there are two ways to access it, both involve driving through pedestrian only access ways. We used the shorter way: where the GPS guidance ends, turn left into the alley/walkway (past the do not enter sign) and the fenced parking is one block in on the right.

Das Hotel hatte eine Dinner-mit-Musik-Abendveranstaltung. Bei unserer Anreise gegen 15 Uhr wollte man uns deswegen im Restaurant noch nicht einmal einen Kaffee oder ein Kaltgetränk servieren, obwohl noch viele Gäste vom Mittagessen an den Tischen saßen. Mit dem Hinweis, es gäbe in der Stadt ja genügend andere Möglichkeiten, wurden wir abgewiesen. Das Personal war nicht unfreundlich, aber so schnell, wie wir abgefertigt wurden, waren wir offensichtlich lästig. Ein Abendessen ohne Veranstaltungsbuchung vor 21 Uhr war 'selbstverständlich' auch nicht möglich. Die Fotos vom Innenhof mit den gedeckten Tischen und den Speisen waren für uns Gründe uns für dieses Hotel zu entscheiden. Hätten wir die Information vorher gehabt, hätten wir dort nicht gebucht. Es wäre fair, die Fotos, die nicht zum Hotel gehören (z.B. die Kapelle, Treppenhaus im Museum) kenntlich zu machen.

Que por el precio de la habitación podrían poner espejo de aumento más agua en la habitación pues verano caja de caudales y nevera y más productos de aseo Tambien nos causó muy mala impresión que vinieran unos ingleses y les obsequiaran como una atención una habitacion de más categoría cuando yo tengo nivel 3 de booking y no me sirve de nada las ofertas que tengo y hace muchísimos años que contacto con Uds para mis viajes

La cama no era muy cómoda, era un poco blanda. Además, aunque tiene restaurante no te puedes tomar algo. Yo solicité una copa antes de irnos a la cama y me dijeron que solo daban cenas, no servicios de cafetería.

Nous avons été prévenus seulement à notre arrivée qu’un concert allait se jouer sous nos fenêtres jusqu’à 23 h -23 h 30, alors que les dates étaient connues depuis longtemps. Les couloirs sont a peine éclairés. Les chambres sont meublées trop simplement avec du mobilier sans aucun caractère . Depuis la chambre nous entendions les bruits du parquet du couloir qui grinçait ! . Salle de bains toute petite. Bref, un deux étoiles au prix d’un quatre étoiles dans la même ville

Parkplätze sind nicht ausreichend. Wer zu spät kommt muss außerhalb parken. Es gibt keinen Direkten Zugang vom Parkplatz zum Hotel. Das Hotel liegt in einem schönen alten Gebäude. Warum dann die Holzdielen mit Laminat Zugedeckt werden, und die schönen dunklen alten Holzdecken weiß gestrichen werden ist nicht nachvollziehbar. Es nimmt dem Hotel einen großen Teil der Atmosphäre. Zuvor waren wir in einem alten Parador. Jeder Schritt wahr gefühlte Geschichte.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026La ubicación es inmejorable. En el recinto de S. Isidoro, y cerca de todo lo importante del centro. El tener aparcamiento incluido era el elemento decisivo, pero... hay problemas de espacio. Se llena rápidamente.
Uff... varias cosas: 1) El desayuno es bastante pobre, hay pocas cosas y lo peor. el café, que es bastante malo, y la máquina Nexpresso funcionaba mal y solo con 1 tipo de cápsulas. 2) El aire acondicionado no iba bien. Incluso después de pedir ayuda en recepción, me dijeron como debía de funcionar en Teoría, pero en la práctica lo mejor fue apagarlo ya que no aguantaba la Temperatura demandada, y hacía un ruido horrible durante la noche. 3) La limpieza de la habitación. Las empleadas deberían o cubrir su pelo con un gorro o cuidar mucho más que al dar por terminada una habitación no quedan pelos de mujer en el suelo del baño, o en la ropa de cama. 4) Un hotel de 3* es rarísimo que no tenga neverita en la habitación. Ahora mismo estoy en uno de 2*, mucho más barato,.y la tiene.

Die Zimmer sind klein mit kleinen Fenster (Gebäudebedingt) - leider hatten wir kein Ausblick auf den Innenhof oder das Castell wie beschrieben. Für eine Nacht ein gutes Hotel.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Il posto all'interno della collegiata è bellissimo. La posizione è vicinissima al centro e a tutti i punti di interesse. Parcheggio gratuito con istruzioni ben precise su come arrivare. Colazione abbondante.
Stando in una struttura antica ci si aspetterebbe il silenzio, mentre i pavimenti in legno la mattina fanno sentire tutti gli spostamenti degli altri ospiti. Inoltre, nella nostra camera era impossibile aprire la finestra dal rumore di moto, auto ed autobus, perché dava sulla strada principale, nonostante l'ottima temperatura esterna. Camera piccola e frigo bar assente. Per quello che si spende a notte credo che si debba migliorare.

Jak na pobyt na jedną noc za 199€ (najtańsza opcja i pokój) to zdecydowanie stwierdzam, że jest to NIEWARTE tych pieniędzy. Klimatyzacja to jest żart - nie można ustawić poniżej 21.0 stopni, a tak naprawdę temperatura dobiła minimalnie do 21.5. Ponadto pracuje bardzo głośno. Łóżka niewygodne, poduszki to jest jakiś dramat jak na tego typu obiekt. Chcieliśmy otworzyć okno, bo akurat na zewnątrz było chłodniej niż w środku. Hałas z ulicy był, ale nie można było zasłonić zasłon bo były poblokowane. Śniadanie o godz 10:00 w weekend (było serwowane do 11:00) było już w dużej mierze zjedzone, a obsługa nie doniosła pewnych rzeczy które się skończyły. Jakość produktów średnia.

The area of Las Médulas, a landscape of open-air mines, has also been awarded the World Heritage designation by UNESCO. The province of León is home to places with a rich cultural heritage such as Ponferrada, Astorga with its Episcopal Palace by Gaudí; as well as the capital, León, with its Cathedral and the Casa Botines building, also designed by Gaudí. The Convent is a beautiful Building a historic 11th-century San Isidoro complex located in Plaza Santo Martino adjacent to the cathedral León. The superia Room September very basic overlooks to terrace but was with no balcony. The Isadora Hotel in reality should be listed as a Restaurant with Hostel type rooms with no services, no public spaces or bar/cafe. However, the buffet breakfast was good it was DIY as there was no service - the only friendly personnel were one of the breakfast waitresses and one of the housekeeping staff!
The Reception Front of House should be welcoming and friendly and dressed more appropriately. Arriving on an exemely hot afternoon 40+degrees the lead receptionist attire was tracksuit bottoms and an ill fitting shirt and was not interested if we were checking in or not. Politely enquiring if we could have drinks in the bar, the answer was an emphatic no - no fridge, no water, no ice. We then asked if we could have a coffee the young man replied no - even though there was a coffee machine in the breakfast room - I cannot make coffee??! Obviously the guest is just an irritation resenting our presence.

Dommage qu'il n'y ait aucune possibilité de boire un verre et de profiter de ces moments, si une table n'est pas réservée au restaurant. Dommage pour un établissement de la sorte avec ce tarif, de ne pas avoir à disposition un bar dans les parties collectives (à minima à certaines heures) afin de profiter des extérieurs, alors qu'il y a du personnel et des boissons à disposition via le restaurant
