Room had mold and was very dirty. Brought this to the attention of the staff who were uninterested and simply agreed it wasnt dirty and said they wouldnt want to sleep in the room either. No suggestion or offer to rectify was made. A written complaint was made that remains unanswered a month later
We are becoming regulars at the Trearddur Bay Hotel. It has a very high standard, which it keeps from visit to visit. The location is wonderful, the staff are the best, the food is excellent, the rooms are luxurious. Couldn't ask for anything more.
Enjoyable and comfortable stay in a lovely quiet location. Family room a good size but very warm. Good selection of tea/coffee/snacks in the room which were appreciated. Lovely meal in the Inn at the Bay restaurant. Great selection of breakfast choices. Used the indoor pool on the second day - this was closed the day we arrived which was the only disappointing part of the stay. Friendly and helpful staff.
Birthday visit for my lady and the food and staff were amazing . Would highly recommend. Even for out of season there’s no drop in the service A+++
Really enjoyed our night away. Only issue we had with the room, was a locked bedroom window which meant we weren't able to get any fresh air into the room... led to a rather stuffy nights sleep. Apart from that, everything was very good!
The Trearddur Bay Hotel is an absolute delight and so perfectly placed near the sea and the village. I was in a room with a sea view, which was stunning. The room itself was spacious and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log. All the staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next trip.
A cracking find and great food. We hadn’t booked but were made very welcome and given great seats with views across the bay. A definite must if you’re in the area.
Very well-mannered and attentive staff. Lovely clean room, small but perfect for a short break. Good food but would benefit from more vegetarian options in both restaurants. We live fairly locally but enjoy staying here for a bit of R&R.
Just a great hotel and Dave who looked after us at breakfast and dinner as he was working both was exceptional
We have seen this hotel a number of times when visiting the area, it’s never really appealed to us as curb appeal (imho) is lacking. However, as we love the area, we decided to give it a try, we were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed and directed to our room, a decent hike through corridors and up/down stairs. The trek was worth it when we were greeted by the most stunning view. Our room was large, super comfortable bed with crisp linens, another single bed, a sofa bed, giving more than ample room for a family. Large wardrobes with bathrobes and slippers and a fridge with fresh milk, always welcome. The bathroom was generous, a spacious corner bath with a powerful shower over head, ample storage space and super fluffy towels. Our balcony was large and would be a fabulous place to relax in warmer months, it was a bit chilly in February. The breakfast was very good, a good selection of continental options as well as a variety of cooked choices, all very tasty with good quality produce. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble, genuine friendly smiles. We have taken a blob off for a couple of reasons. Firstly there was a huge crack in our patio door, it did look as if it had been made safe however I would have expected this to have been replaced especially in view of the cost of the room. Also, whilst I am sure that the shower curtain was clean, the deep dirty brown mark along the bottom of it looked horrible and grubby, again, not what I would have expected. We absolutely would stay again, definitely our little ‘niggles’ outweighed the positives. Highly recommended.
Excellent stay as usual. The staff are great! We had the February special deal which worked out very well. Great food too!
We used this delightful hotel on Anglesey to break our journey from Bristol to Dublin. It is only minutes from the ferries at Holyhead, and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. The hotel is almost on the beach, and also has a swimming pool. Pub supper, and breakfast excellent. (The roll top bath upgrade was an unexpected treat)
Great views of the sea and bay. The bay restaurant in the hotel is a good quality restaurant. Service is excellent. Would return.
I very rarely write review and when I do, they are bad reviews to warn others of poor service, quality and value. It is so nice to feel compelled to write a positive review having had such an enjoyable evening in the restaurant of the Trearddur Bay Hotel. And I must begin this review by thanking Claire (I hope I have spelled it correctly) who looked after us so well and added so much to making our evening so special and memorable. Claire is a credit to the Hotel! My family had come to the village to visit for half term and I suggested we ate at the Inn at the Bay. I did not realise that there was a quiz on that evening. The Inn was full and there were no tables available. Thankfully, an exceedingly kind member of the Inn staff said that we could eat in the restaurant and order from the Inn menu. Claire was managing the restaurant that evening and found a lovely table for our family. Although we had the pub menus to hand, we glanced at the restaurant menu and were surprised to see how extensive and delicious it looked and, most surprisingly, what excellent value it was. We ended up all ordering from the restaurant menu. The mussels, the steak, the fish, my daughter’s choice from the children’s menu – all were exceptional and of very high-end restaurant quality. The most impressive aspect, however, was the service and welcome. We are looking forward to returning.
Short winter break that was excellent value for money. We came specifically for the quiz night and we had a great time.
We had a lovely two night stay at the hotel on a bed and breakfast and dinner with wine included. It was an amazing price. We stayed alongside friends and had a superb stay. Hotel was spotless and the staff were extremely pleasant. The food was lovely too. Would highly recommend this hotel.
This is our second time at the Trearddur Bay and we had another good ‘value for money’ stay. The two restaurants serve a limited menu but the food is good quality and plentiful. My only negative comment would be over the standards of cleanliness and although the hotel is in no way dirty, improvements are needed to make the place shine like a pin. The carpet in our room (Room 1) is marked and stained and the mat by the patio door is a bit tatty and has seen better days. The ripped chair seats in the Inn at the Bay (round the circular table on the raised dog friendly section) are not a good advert for the hotel. The standards would not put us off going back to this hotel as it is good value all round but improving the cleanliness and general standards would get better feedback and customer satisfaction.
We took advantage of a 'February flash sale offer' and were so pleased we did. In addition to our generous meal allowance, we had a £10 voucher towards drinks on the Sunday evening. This helped make the break super affordable. It was not only affordable, but very enjoyable, as we had a very comfortable and clean room looking out over the bay, We found the stairs very steep though! We had dinner in the restaurant the first evening, with the biggest cheese board I have ever seen. (Steph kindly provided a doggy bag!) We booked the Tavern on the bay for our second night and again, the choices were varied, the quality excellent and the service? Immaculate and friendly. All the staff were very professional. Cannot fault it.
We stayed there the night of our sailing to Dublin was cancelled. Lovely lady Vickey at reception and had a superb steak in there bay restaurant
We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the hotel. The weather was awful but this did not detract from a really great and welcome short break. We have stayed at the hotel before (6 yrs ago) and it is fair to stay that the original high standards have been maintained if not built on. All the usual accommodation requirements were easily met and the food at breakfast and in the inn in the evening was really good. However no hospitality these days can exist without the use of great staff. From the welcome from Vicky in reception to the au revoir from Angela at same, the service was exemplary. Staff at breakfast, bar staff - all were very personable and wanting to engage as well as deliver a good service. A very enjoyable short break - we will return.
It was a last minute brake, we were upgraded on arrival x couldn’t do enough for us x very clean, beautiful location x
Lovely peaceful hotel in fantastic location. We had a room looking out on to the rocks and sea , idyllic . Room very clean , comfy and spacious , could not fault . Bathroom clean , basic but fine . We ate in the bar restaurant and the food was good and well priced , staff throughout the hotel were very good to deal with. Breakfast , the self serve cereal type breakfast was poor in content, little of nothing really ,dissapointed .Main breakfast not self serve, although the plate was plentiful , it lacked the wow appeal , and presentation was poor. I had the full breakfast which was nice, my only gripe was I chose scrambled eggs , and the portion size was poor . The service in the breakfast room was good though.
We have just returned from this Hotel after a fabulous 2 night stay We were a group of 3 couples. This is a great hotel and it is the staff that make it great! Every single member went above and beyond to help, and did so with enthusiasm and friendly efficiency. Special mention to Sam, who took our ribbing with such good humour, good luck with your wrestling career. Book your stay, have a lovely break in a beautiful area. You will not be disappointed.
Third time staying at this hotel, there is nothing at all to complain about. Good location and food is excellent but the staff are what makes it really stand out for us, they honestly can’t do enough for you and are so friendly and efficient. We stayed in a sea view room with balcony, very comfortable and clean, with all facilities you’d expect, fridge, tea and coffee, toiletries, good tv, robes etc. worth every penny. Great walks nearby with amazing views. Definitely recommend.
Stunning views of Trearddur Bay with plenty of free private parking. Super friendly staff and good food (really reasonably priced!!), comfy bed and pillows too! Big shout out to Vicki on reception. She was super friendly and helpful! Mine was only a short stay with work but I'll definitely be back
Fabulous hotel. Just book it !! Great location, service is outstanding, food is good and on site. Love it here and will be back soon.
Really enjoyed the food and friendly service, will definitely go again prices were reasonable and very little waiting time, staff were always available but didn’t rush you
Decided to stay one night on way back from Ireland. Arrived late evening. Lovely and quiet. Night manager Sam was very helpful and accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Made to feel very welcome. Morning staff also professional and friendly. Stones throw from the bay. Would definitely stay here again if on Anglesey.
Wonderful dog friendly hotel, lovely helpful staff, location next to beach & excellent value for money.
This hotel overlooks the sea front and they offer dog friendly rooms as well as non dog rooms. They have a large variety of rooms with different views and cater to all requests. The reception/reservation team are very familiar with the hotel and also give tips on where to go around the island. Upon arrival they do have a porter service if you need it and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Both restaurants are superb, the first night we tried the mussels which were divine. The finer dining restaurant was quiet and is nicely laid out for privacy. The second night we had a Sunday roast which was delicious, this was in the pub type bar on the other side of the hotel. Breakfast is also a lavish affair with plenty of choice. The hotel also caters to dietary requirements if requested in advance. You get to see stunning sunrises every morning and the beach is a 1 minute stroll across the road. The pool is indoor and warm, it has changing facilities and is clean. The hotel offers towels for pool use. Overall this is a well run hotel with passionate staff and a stunning location.
Just returning from a lovely stay at the Treardurr Bay Hotel. Had a deluxe room which was lovely and spacious with 2 seats by the window overlooking the sea. All the staff were helpful, polite and friendly particularly Dave in the restaurant. We will be back with the family for another visit.
Lovely area, great hotel. Food pretty good. Drinks overpriced, as they are in many places. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Great to see Melanie again, she's been there many years, I'd love her to work for me!
Staff were professional and courteous, shower was tepid and slow. The room was ready 2 hours earlier than stated, which raised my suspicions. The bed had sand in it, the bathroom had mould on the ceiling. The radiator in the room was only hot at the top. Excellent hotel if you have dogs
Me and the family spent Christmas Day for lunch in the Inn. From booking to the main event, communication and service was really excellent. The food was delicious, and again the service went above and beyond, and we had a lovely day. Thank you to all the staff, you really made the day special.
Amazing views, location and breakfast. Reception staff ok, restaurant and bar staff very friendly. Room basic, again amazing view saving it. No interest or information for electric car charging despite emails prior to stay. Frustratingly 2 other guests stayed plugged in for 24hrs so we couldn't charge. Attended a wedding. Function room and entrance struffy and cold. Some parts really good, some not good, just lacking wow factor
We spent Christmas here the food, service, and hotel was excellent. The staff could not do enough for you.
We had a wonderful Christmas break here, booking the 3 night stay with food included and had the most wonderful time. The food was very good and plentiful, Christmas lunch in particular was very well cooked and delicious. We stayed in a deluxe room with sea view and balcony which was very comfortable, warm and well equipped, only slight criticism would be the bathroom smelt a bit damp and could have been cleaner. The bed is huge and very comfortable and the view from the room was lovely especially as we had wall to wall sunshine for the stay. The staff were extremely friendly ensuring you were happy with everything and always greeting you with a smile 😊. This package was excellent value for money with the food included and the restaurant, bar areas etc are very nice and comfortable,. The area is beautiful with lots of little coves for exploring. We had the best Christmas with all the stress taken out of it. Thank you all for ensuring we had a great stay. We were ready to book again for next year but unfortunately only a 4 night stay is being offered which we cannot do due to work commitments which is sad as we had such a relaxing time. I would highly recommend 😊
Went for a meal at the Inn - the food was great and the staff were lovely. Had a table by the window so that we could look at the village lights.
My wife and I decided to go to N Wales for Christmas and to have Christmas lunch at the InnattheBay at the Trearddur Bay hotel. A fixed price of £98 each was charged in advance, for 3 courses without drinks. For this we were promised a great meal, a full dining room and Christmas party atmosphere. Nothing could be further from our experience. The dining room was half full at best, most people were very informally dressed and the food was ordinary in the extreme - frozen prawn cocktail, a mountainous pile of overcooked turkey and far too many vegetables, all drowned, then an anemic cheesecake that tasted of nothing. We had to pay for a cider and glass of wine on top, to add insult to injury. £98 a head was at least 50% too high to charge for this very ordinary fare. I should add that the staff were all friendly and charming, and not at all to be blamed for our experience. I have a sneaking feeling that we were among very few who paid this astronomical price in advance, a serious con trick bearing in mind the very ordinary food on offer. The hotel needs to get a grip on this place which trades independently but is associated with its name - that’s why we chose it.
Another wonderful short stay at the Trearddur Bay Hotel. It’s become our regular favourite hotel and it’s dog friendly so ticks all the boxes for us to get away for a long weekend.
Travelled with Stena Line over for work and I would be taking a day trip from Dublin to see more of the Island next year. A gem of a place
Excellent stay in a fantastic location . Service on dining (60 guests in function room ) was excellent. Food was of a high standard and brought out to all guests hot and promptly . Thank you
A lovely hotel , in a beautiful setting , with easy access to beaches and visitor attractions in and around the area . The Hotel itself is not over modernised which added to its charm and welcoming atmosphere . Staff will take your bags to your room if needed . Rooms are comfortable and spotless , we had a brilliant sea view with balcony . The fridge was a useful addition and fresh milk was supplied daily . The Swimming Pool was nice and warm . We ate in both the Inn at the Bay pub and the restaurant and the Food was excellent each time . Staff at the Hotel provided an unfailingly friendly , helpful , polite , and professional service . This went toward making our stay so enjoyable. We will look forward to visiting again .
Spent two nights at the Trearddur Bay Hotel in November 2025. If you're interested in the sights up near Holyhead, especially the South Stack lighthouse, then this is a brilliant place to stay as it's only a couple of miles down the road. Our first challenge was with booking. For some bizarre reason, we could not book two consecutive nights without breakfast, so we had to book two one-night stays. We explained this on arrival, and after initially being told we were in a Cosy room, not a Double room, on the second night (we had booked a Double room on both nights), the receptionist sorted everything out while we had a drink, and we were given the same room for both nights. The room was really hot the first night, which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The bathroom was riddled with black mould too. Aside from those two challenges, the room was comfortable, clean and well-equipped (bottled water, toiletries, tea, coffee and biscuits, iron, to mention a few things). Most of the time, service came when you went looking for it (getting a drink at the bar was always a challenge), and at the Inn at the Bay, we were made to feel like we should be grateful for any service we got - nothing was provided with anything approaching good grace. On Sunday night, the hotel was full of people with dogs, which was fine, but you just need to be aware that this seemed to be 'a thing'. Some dog owners were better than others (one couple in the bar thought that their dog constantly barking was absolutely fine while they enjoyed their drinks and did not stop to think that it might be disturbing other guests (their dog did not have a quiet bark, it was the sort that stopped you from being able to hold a conversation). If it were not for the fabulous location, I doubt we would have enjoyed our stay - which is a sad thing to have to say as the Trearddur Bay Hotel has a lot of potential.
We have been here a few time before and had a lovely memorable stays. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, tidy and warm. Check in was easy as was the clearance for the parking via a screen. I was unable to use the pool as I was on my own this time. The food in the Inn and restaurant is always excellent with great staff. Only one gripe, I was supposed to be in the Tower House near to the beach, but at Check-in I was given a room in the main house, which although lovely overlooked a yard with a huge extractor fan, which luckily was turned off at night. So all in all a lovely Hotel, great staff etc in a lovely location. Sorry to mark you down on a couple of things but the room was a disappointment thanks we will be back
What a lovely hotel the staff couldn’t do enough for me even upgraded me on arrival. Reception team are so friendly and welcoming. I will definitely return.
Amazing place to stay . Staff were so warm and welcoming. Nothing was a problem to them . View was wondering . We stayed for a family wedding and they did a fantastic job looks and food was fantastic. Will be looking to going again.
I spent a week visiting various places on anglesey and now I have arrived home, I feel I must write a review. I dined at the Inn at the Bay, and even though the food was nice, I was quite disappointed with the service. It seemed to me that there was only one lady, (I think her name was Francis), that was serving every table in the whole bar, I felt sorry for her running round trying to keep every table happy. There was a man and a lady with a stick behind the bar, but she was obviously no help at all, she didn't do anything to help, and seemed more of a hindrance !!!! It's a lovely hotel but seems very poorly managed with minimum staff.
Have stayed here a number of times on our way back from Ireland. Convenient, not too expensive, good quality and very good breakfast. Staff are quite helpful
We stayed for 2 nights, perfect location Food excellent at breakfast and in the restaurant also tried the bay inn adjoined to hotel . staff very smart, excellent in every way , very clean hotel, very large comfy bed .also very quiet .
My Daughter got married over the weekend such a beautiful atmosphere very professional friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional!Guests all commented on how beautiful the food was,Stayed in the family room for 2 days was very clean and beds were so comfortable.
Big storm when I was there couldn’t judge the surroundings
Just returned back today. Absolutely lovely time! Food is fabulous. The rooms are lovely and clean with gorgeous temple spa products. Nothing was too much trouble. Offered a late check out with no extra cost. Housekeeping were not rushing us to get out like 90% of hotels do. Choice of two restaurants.... one more formal amd one more relaxed pub atmosphere so the best of both worlds. The waiting on staff are lovely and professional. Lovely and clean swimming pool located just at the front as a little extra. Will definitely be re turning and letting people know about this little Welsh gem.
Carpets filthy and stained. Room toilet was broken. On the other hand the staff was very efficient and friendly. The food was great. The physical bldg. is old tired and dated.
Be absolutely sure what room you book. This is an old bayside hotel which shows signs of wear and tear, but has perfectly decent rooms, updated baths, and two restaurants with good service and good food. However, despite the location near Trearddur Bay, many of the rooms face no view of anything - in fact, some have frosted windows so you can’t see out at all. They told us we could have gotten a real window if we’d booked a “front-facing room” in advance, but of course we didn’t realize that. For an overnight stay, our room was fine, but you wouldn’t want to be resident in a room with no view for very long. Also, make sure to book your transport from the ferry terminal or train platform to the hotel in advance. There were no taxis at the terminal/station, and Uber apparently does not operate in Holyhead.
We loved this hotel & location and would come back in a heartbeat! Thought has clearly gone into the design and facilities in our room - which looked lovely and had everything we needed and more. The views from our lovely suite were awesome - the beach to one side and the bay to other - so pretty. The restaurant and bar areas were nice - dinner and breakfast were spot on! The staff on reception were helpful and friendly, too. Thank you for making our stay memorable - we will definitely recommend you to our friends.
We loved the Treaddur Bay Hotel. It was elegant, delightful staff, wonderful food and overall very enjoyable. I will return one day and highly recommend it.
Very nice room and dinner
Celebrated my birthday weekend - August bank holiday - at the hotel. The weather was extremely hot and our room was in the Tower House Annexe quite close to the beach which we found noisy in the day due to the number of visitors to Trearddur Bay and the proximity of the slipway where tractors were putting boats into, or taking them out of, the water. We unfortunately did not have air conditioning and couldn’t take advantage of our patio either as we didn’t have an umbrella for shade. However, we found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful and enjoyed two breakfasts and excellent evening meals in the Bay Restaurant. Would recommend staying at a quieter time and in the main hotel for a future visit. Website could advertise the swimming pool better as I did not realise there was one at the hotel until our arrival.
Room had a sea view if you strained your neck sideways. Small step into the room plus a step inside the room, separating bed area from lounge area. Bathroom was off the lounge area, so difficult during the night
An excellent hotel that we have stayed in on previous occasions. Just across the road from the sea and the beach is a very short walk. The food is excellent and all the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Can't really fault it. The only issue I do have is that it could really do with a lift to floor 1. It's quite a "rabbit warren" and some of the rooms involve a number of steps on different levels. As an elderly visitor with some lack of mobility, I can cope, but the first, and main, staircase is the toughest to negotiate, being rather steep with deep steps. However, staff are very willing to carry luggage to rooms if requested. We always enjoy our stays, even when the weather is grim - as it was on this occasion. The penalty of living in a maritime climate!
We booked in for an evening meal during our stay at Trearddur. The meal was excellent & service prompt & friendly.
Overpriced . Sodawater £5-00 a glass, food very average staff friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend a walk down the road to the Beach motel.
Fantastic customer service. I booked a room here for my parents and told them one of them had had a knee replacement. They explained where the allocated room was and wanted to make sure it would be okay for my mum as it meant she would have to Climb various stairs etc. Very caring reception staff, when I dropped my parents off , who were keen that my parents would have a lovely stay. They stayed in a deluxe room with balcony and it was lovely. Looked newly decorated and the view was gorgeous. My parents said the breakfasts were lovely. Thank you for ensuring the stay went well and thank you for being so caring.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Lovely location and ideal for ferry terminal. would come again
My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Trearddur Bay Hotel. They only had a sea-view room with balcony left which was a little more expensive. However it was great having a separate seating area and, next time, I think we would probably choose one of these rooms right from the start. I don’t think we have stayed in many hotels with staff as pleasant and helpful as those here at the Trearddur Bay Hotel. It really helps to make a short break more enjoyable. We stayed here a year ago and it was good to see standards were just as high. For us the hotel breakfast is a vital part of our stay. I commented before that the cold buffet was very limited and this remains the same. It seemed to matter less to us this year as we are now preferring more savoury breakfasts. The cooked breakfast table service menu is quite brief but, as we discovered, staff are happy to serve any combination of available items. The seating areas for breakfast are a delight and second to none compared to other hotels we have stayed in. We did not eat in what I think is the hotel’s main restaurant but we did bring our family to the attached Inn on the Bay. This was a disappointing experience. However, I have a left a separate review for the Inn. Funnily enough before booking the Trearddur Bay, we had been looking for a budget hotel as this was just a short trip. However, our experience this time means we will probably continue to stay with The Trearddur Bay Hotel. It’s worth it.
My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Trearddur Bay Hotel. We had arranged this relatively late and they were heavily booked or else we would probably have stayed for longer. They only had a sea-view room with balcony left which was a little more expensive. We had booked a room with our dog, the room would have been better if it wasn’t on the first floor, our room when booked had a view not sure it was a room with a view! Dog treats were a nice touch, food was excellent and staff were extremely friendly
This was our second stay at Treaddur Bay Hotel in recent weeks. We decided to return as we enjoyed our first stay a lot . The customer service is so good, the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent with very friendly and good service, we were made to feel very welcome. Reception rang to inform us we’d left an item of clothing in our room and were so helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Lovely overnight stay. I'm sat in breakfast just about to check out. I was going to write a review before i came to breakfast but I'm glad i waited. This hotel is perfect for those coming to a gorgeous seaside village to chill out, wander around and play or relax on the beach and do some fab walks. OK it's not the most modern, but the things it lacks, it makes up for in spades with the wonderful staff, location and viewers of the beach and sea. A special shout out to ALL the staff. Every single one, from reception to room service to breakfast staff, each and everyone were friendly happy smiley and completely accommodating. 10/10. The breakfast was lovely with a good choice. The only nit picky things i would say were in the cottage's please put a voile up at the window so you can have light in without people looking in as they walk past. Also if you can afford pay for a bigger room as the standard doubles are very small and the bed is tiny if there are 2 of you. However the hotel is in such a fab location you won't be spending much time in your room in such a beautiful place.
This hotel is fabulous. The staff are amazing. So friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the sea view of the beach is beautiful. We will be back! Best British hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time with a great price.
We have been in today for a family meal. Our waitress, Isabella, looked after us 100% and more. She couldn’t have been more helpful. The food and service were amazing. In fairness we do go there quite a lot and have always had good service and lovely food but please say a big thank you to Isabella. She is so personable, polite and very efficient. Thank you.
Cleanliness on the whole was very good but the carpet was very stained and looked grubby.
As a family of 20 people who have visited every year for 15 years, can only say gutted, we were made to feel very unwelcome. We arrived at 9:45pm to be told bar closes 11pm and it was a hotel not a pub! This secreted numerous times when collecting the glasses from our table. Surly if non residents are allowed the bar should say residents only. Luckily for us we found an another venue nearby that made us feel extremely welcome .
Excellent location with very friendly and helpful staff The rooms were comfortable and clean and the beds were of a high quality The breakfasts were excellent and the evening meal was good There could have been a more varied and upmarket drinks menu in the restaurant and pop up bar in the day .Overall the stay was lovely
The best asset of this hotel is undoubtably the staff, everyone we met was friendly cheerful and helpful and provided great service. Everywhere was very clean but function room toilets let the main score down. Bedroom was very nice with an extremely comfortable bed. Overall the hotel could benefit from some updating and refurbishment but that would not stop me from returning or happily recommending to friends and family.
Overall a nice friendly family hotel. Staff professional & helpful. Breakfast, a wide choice to cater for all tastes. Both restaurants wide choice of food. Excellent swimming pool. Hotel close to the beach & other attractions.
Our second stay at this property, and huge improvements have been made, particularly in the restaurant. We had a lovely room and superb support from Roger at check-in. Great bathroom. Breakfast was massively improved with so much choice, now, particularly of cooked items. Our dinner in the restaurant was first class. Location is perfect , of course. A wonderful and traditional seaside hotel.
Lovely staff and facilities. Be sure to reserve taxi rides a day in advance.
What a view we were in room 702 couldn’t have been better huge room with a balcony facing the beach Marvellous breakfast the hotel has great facilities best cappuccino on the island made by the great Alex who looked after us in the evening good customer service throughout the hotel plenty of staff cannot do enough for you we will be back
Visited as a family of six. 2 children ate from the very well balanced children's menu. Parents and Grandparents had the fixed price 3 course menu which was excellent value. Service was superb from a young waitress who is obviously receiving excellent training. Very clean and comfortable dining area. Great place for a family dining visit.
Perfect hotel located on a really lovely beach. Excellent breakfast each day including gluten free options (sausages). Special praise to the cooks for delicious food and to John (breakfast) for making our stay entertaining.
Brilliant for a short stay with a young family, hotel and staff are great with access to a beach just a few minutes walk (rock pools, sandy beach, restaurants etc). Our stay was a leisurely 3 nights and could have easily been 5 nights and still felt worth it. Rooms were clean, modern and well sized. The pool house was a great way to start or end your day and the breakfast team did a great job of looking after you.
Lovely hotel in a lovely location.
A fantastic hotel on the beach. The food in the bar is restaurant standard at pub prices and worth a visit. Staff couldnt do enough to help. We will definitely come back!
Great Hotel, fantastic location, staff so friendly and the food & service excellent , we would stay again as our room was great too.
A wonderful weekend in a beautiful hotel. Comfortable, clean, friendly and the staff couldn’t do more for you. The food was lovely - the breakfast was yummy. We really enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be back. I would highly recommend.
Fantastic Sunday lunch with great view across the bay. We had the veggie wellington which was absolutely delicious. It came with all the trimmings and large Yorkshire! Service was excellent at both bar and delivery of the food . Free parking to the side . Just remember to enter your car reg at desk
A perfect location on the beach - our room had a sea view. Some rooms have a balcony so maybe aim for those when booking. The staff on reception were super friendly and nice- recommending where to go ( and they were spot on). Beware the full English breakfast is very large !! We could not finish it. Rooms are very clean and we had a very pleasant 2 night stay.
We had a fabulous two day stay. Very friendly staff, who gave great service. Lovely tastey breakfast. Very convenient for the beach. Enjoyed swimming in the 12 meter indoor pool. Option of food from the restaurant or bar. The menu was very varied in the bar, where we ate both evenings.
The hotel was in a great location. It appeared to have had some recent decorative renovation, but the quality of the workmanship was quite poor, especially the paint work. Ive never seen so many missed corners, overpainting onto skirting etc, just basics, which really do stand out like a sore thumb. Such a shame really considering the hotel have made the efforts to decorate. Our standard double was located at the back of the hotel (room 21) so the view was disappointing ( image attached). I understand that the cheaper rooms are at a lower cost for a reason but still at £179 the hotel should at least try and tidy the area up so the view is slightly more pleasing. Upon arrival the corridor to our room had a strange musty smell, stained carpets and heavily marked wallpaper, but the room itself was really clean and bright. The sun coming through the window made the room extremely hot and even with curtains drawn, windows opened and fan on it remained really hot all night. Air con would have been welcomed. There were lots of lovely touches in the rooms such as a well stocked bathroom and tea tray, however the hotel stated on their site that 'all rooms includes thoughtful amenities such a mini fridge, robes and slippers and an ironing station, but none of these were in our room. The fridge was the biggest loss as we had brought consumables with us based on this information and couldn't keep anything cold in such a hot room. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The food at the Inn was fab and portions large. The breakfast choice was good too. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay and we would return for another visit but if it was for more than one night I would have to consider a higher priced room with a view.
Nice hotel
We stay here every year on our way to Ireland by ferry from Holyhead and it never disappoints. Great food in both the restaurant and bar. Lovely, friendly staff and comfy beds.
We decided to stay one night at this hotel as we could book in in the evening on a afternoon ferry from Dublin. I rang and booked Trearddur Bay Hotel, explaining I was on crutches and was it possible to have a ground floor room. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed at Reception on a particularly wet and windy night. We were told the bar was still open for food and that as our room was about 200yds from the hotel. Food was ok but took ages to arrive even though there was only one other table waiting for food. There were several steps to reach the other building and the flooring inside the building was very slippery on my crutches. The room was big, but the one thing I had not been told was there was a big step up to the bathroom. It was very tricky for me. The bed had a lumpy mattress and very thin pillows. Breakfast had lots of staff waiting tables. It was buffet for cereals and toast - but again I was thwarted because there was, yet again ... a step up ! The final insult was the pancakes I ordered. Guests came in after, ordered their food and their cooked breakfast arrived before my order. I managed to ask one server if I had been forgotten as it had been over 40 mins since I had ordered. She apologised and within a few minutes my pancakes arrived. Barely warm and covered in maple syrup with a few berries scattered on top. I tried to cut into the pancakes but they were rubbery and were inedible. The hotel itself is in a nice location - such a shame our overnight stay was so awful.
I was unhappy at the dining table 45 mins wait to be served waitress unhelpful
Such beautiful views!!!! The staff was very friendly and the food in the restaurant was very good. We loved the location and it's proximity to the lighthouse.
Locals so didn't stay at the hotel but the Sunday dinner was delicious 😋 plenty of it , hot and tasty! Great service too 👍
A lovely stay with the best views, friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. I will definitely be back!
Great hotel right on a lovely sandy beach - my room was clean and had everything I needed and the staff went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful
Have just returned from an overnight stay at this wonderful hotel. Perfectly located with spectacular views. Our room was perfect - comfortable, clean and just so relaxing, sitting and watching the sea! Great facilities in the room, everything you could need. The staff were brilliant - friendly, helpful and engaging. Must remember my bathing costume next time because we will definitely return. Highly recommend.
