The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was stunning and the rooms very beautifully decorated. We loved Reacher the dog. Will definitely visit again one of my favourites now

Such a lovely little breakaway for my hubby and me! Everything exceeded our expectations – all the thoughtful little touches made it so special, and the view was absolutely incredible. We'll definitely be back, but next time we'll stay a bit longer!

I did not like how close we were to other people.

It's our go-to accommodation when in Knysna. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The garden and view is good for your soul! Perfect for families.

The chalet and stay were very nice with a beautiful view. The chalet was also very clean with more than enough towels, toilet paper. The gardens were very neat and lovely to take a walk and just sit and relax for a moment. The small welcoming gifts made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed the stay and will surely recommend the accommodation to friends and other family. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We only missed a brush to clean the grid of the outside braai.

It was an experience from the start- the most beautiful garden - made in private areas with indigenous flowers and trees, and then behind a tree the most beautiful cottage. Stunning/good decor, very fancy and smart but stil very cozy. We had the most beautiful view and were able to braai on the stoop with an unbelievable stunning view of the forests below and afar. Congrats - you really made us feel home away from home.

Die Unterkunft war nicht sauber. Boden sandig, Bad nicht 100% sauber. Zudem gab es überall Ameisen, die auch im Bett waren. Und das Bett war zu hart. Und die Küche war nicht sonderlich gut ausgestattet.

Everything. This place is amazing. The owners turned this into a sanctuary of peace and relaxation. The outside garden is big and perfectly maintained with and nice children area. The cottage itself is beautiful, new with everything working. The bonus was the terrace where we had all our meal facing a beautiful panorama and sunsets. The owner also makes fantastic skin products I warmly recommend to try.

The Nest was exactly what we needed - calm, private and serene. The decor is simple but elegant with lots of beautiful plants and greenery. We were greeted by a gorgeous cat and later Reacher, the dog, and some chickens joined us. The forest trail is beautiful and very well maintained. I also ended up buying some of their natural skin products which was an bonus. Thank you for a beautiful stay.

The road did get a little noisy but it really didn't bother us.

Consider to put some mosquito nets at the windows, we were forced to sleep with windows closed an was very hot in the bedroom. Some placemats would make meals outside more comfortable.

Die Umgebung und die Liebe zum Detail ist ein Traum, man fühlt sich sofort wohl und kann den „Stress“ auf der Garden Road entfliehen. Es ist ruhig, idyllisch ein wunderbares Plätzchen zum verweilen und geniessen. Wir wohnten im Appartement Protea, die Küche war für unseren Bedarf gut eingerichtet, das Bett äußerst bequem, die Aussicht der absolute Wahnsinn. Die Kommunikation verlief reibungslos über Whats App. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen

Fantastic stay - very clean, modern, super cozy. All needed amenities available. The forest right on your doorstep was filled with beautiful views. You can hear so many animals in the early morning. But overall we loved the peace and tranquility we felt here - very sad when we had to leave. We will be coming back!

Beautiful view, comfortable bed and very nicely laid out cottage with everything you can possibly need for self catering. Very peaceful. Loved the small touches of the choccies on the bed and the yummy cookies. The hammock is a nice touch and it was very therapeutic lying in it watching the view and listening to the birds.

Our only complaint is that as the cottages are right next to each other, our neighbor on the one side was very loud. So bear in that in mind that one may not get quiet neighbours.

The garden and views were spectacular. Room very clean and comfortable.

There was no long mirror. Water from warm tap was dark brown the second morning, therefore we could not use the hot water. We had to take cold showers.

We didn’t get a chance to experience our accommodation.

A message from the host 24 hours out with self check in information would have been appreciated. Message was sent via What’s App (which I rarely use) 6 months prior to arrival. This was lost. Owner didn’t answer messages on the day of arrival resulting in us having to find alternative accommodation. By the time the owner got back to us, we had already booked, paid and cheacked into alternative accommodation. Refund requested but not given. Very stressful situation after a long day of travel. I book on booking.com for so that all my property information is in 1 place, not spread over different apps. Owners response was that she had send the code at time of booking, asked us to cancel our alternative accommodation and return, and offered a room upgrade. This was all a little too late. This could have been avoided with a quick message welcoming us 24 hours prior to arrival. So far this is what all our other self checkin accommodation has done.

It was quiet, even with neighbours. The sunset was amazing to watch and trail into the forest was very relaxing. We did it a few times

A really stunning location and excellent accommodation with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The balcony and braai facilities are great and the kitchen is well equipped. The forest walk is really nice and it is clear to see the owners have put a lot of care and attention into it with the suspension bridge, signage, steps, benches etc. The gardens are stunning and again show a real touch of care.

Only thing I can think of is it would have been nice to have some shower gel/shampoo in the shower and the water pressure could be better (although I get it is likely low as water is scarce and they use rain water, so understandable).

Loved that it’s away from everything and that it’s quiet in nature. It’s perfect for nature lovers. The rooms are well equipped for self catering. I loved all the plants in the rooms and the games and books provided.

Everything is nearby. A spectacular view, a walking trail through the forest, on the other side there's a beautifully designed garden. The studio was decorated with care.

There is little privacy as the units are on top of each other. However- there are deviders on the stoep area.

We found everything exactly as advertized, clean end well equipted. Loved the view and walking trail. Awesome host.

Beautiful little cottage. Peaceful nature and incredible amenities. Great attention to detail and aesthetics. Property is also beautiful. Great forest walk!

We really struggled with the comfort of the bed - especially as it has no headboard. We were also completely CHOWED by mosquitoes despite our best efforts to keep windows and doors closed at night. The final thing seems strange to say, but the frogs were singing so loud we couldn’t sleep 🤣. Still a wonderful and memorable stay. Grateful and it was incredible value for money!
