Quiet location with a lovely staff!

Peaceful. Relaxing. Quiet.

We had an excellent stay and truly enjoyed every moment. Uwe, the owner, is incredibly nice and friendly, making us feel welcome from the start. The breakfast is very fulfilling, with a great variety of choices to suit everyone. The beachfront restaurant is outstanding, offering a wonderful setting and delicious food. What we appreciated most was the laid-back atmosphere—it’s a genuine place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Most staff don’t speak English, not big issue and Uwe can be reached out easily.

Wir kannten dieses Resort von einer früheren Reise und haben es bewusst nochmal gewählt, es hat eine traumhafte Lage, es bleibt kein Wunsch offen und Uwe ist seinen Gästen sehr nah.

Impeccably clean

tutto, la struttura è tenuta in perfette condizioni, la camera non aveva difetti o problemi, gli arredi datati ma tenuti con cura. Ottimo lo staff (anche se la comunicazione non è sempre possibile), abbondante la colazione e curata la cucina del ristorante. Apprezzato anche il noleggio scooter senza alcuna pratica burocratica e ad un prezzo moderato. Un particolare ringraziamento all'host Uwe sempre presente e disponibile.

la spiaggia della struttura era sempre in ordine e pulita ma il resto era piena di rifiuti.

Eine sehr familiäre Resort! Uwe ist perfekte Gastgeber und das ganze ist wirklich zum empfehlen! Gesamte Team ist sehr professionell und freundlich und lassen keine Wünsche offen!

Fahrbarer Untersatz zwingend erforderlich da ein bischen abgelegen ! Strand neben der Anlage total zugemüllt...Wahnsinn !!!!!

Das Ao Thai Resort ist ein aussergewöhnlicher Platz in Thailand, Songkhla. Die Unterkunft ist sauber, schön eingerichtet, schön angelegter Garten. Uwe der Inhaber und sein Team sind vorab, während und bei jeder Frage hilfsbereit zur Stelle. Die Küche ist thailändisch und europäisch auf höchstem Niveau und jedes Gericht schmeckt und ist ausgezeichnet. Danke für den tollen Urlaub Wir kamen als Gäste und gingen als Freunde. Wir kommen wieder.

The beaches in this area are full of garbage and it is not safe to swim. You can only swim in front of the hotel. There is garbage everywhere. After the recent typhoons, the situation in the surrounding area is terrible. Only this hotel is clean.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way back to Surat. We booked a sea-view bungalow. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was good. The minibar was free, which was a nice touch.

However, there were several drawbacks. Parking is located at the front of the property, quite a long walk from our bungalow, which was situated at the very back. The room itself was very small, and the door did not seal properly, allowing many mosquitoes to enter. The bed was queen-sized, and the bathroom was extremely small (approximately 200 cm square), making it quite uncomfortable to use.

Wir waren sehr gut untergebracht im Haupthaus mit Terrasse , beinahe ein Penthousefeeling in einer sicheren Oase. Unser Hausherr und Gastgeber Uwe hat sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert und uns mit seiner exzellenten Küche hervorragend versorgt. Er hat sich außerdem die Mühe gemacht uns die Umgebung zu zeigen und auf besondere Plätze und Sehenswürdigkeiten aufmerksam zu machen . An vielen Abenden gesellte er sich zu einem Plausch zu uns.Uwe wird uns als ausgezeichneter Gastgeber in Erinnerung bleiben und er hatte stets ein offenes Ohr für seine Gäste.

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful

Sehr saubere und gepflegte Anlage. Schöner Strandabschnitt welcher jeden Tag gereinigt wurde. Hilfsbereiter und aufmerksamer deutscher Besitzer. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Gutes Essen am Strand. Sollten wir wieder einmal in der Gegend sein würden wir sofort wieder den Strandbungalow buchen. Vielen Dank an Uwe und Team für den entspannten Aufenthalt

Very nice resort direct at a long sandy beach. the bungalows are comfy and the friendly staff and owner are very helpful. The food was very good. Can only recommend it.

Great location by a quiet beach. Swim and watch the locals walk their oxen or buffalo (not sure exactly what they were). Restaurant was closed on the day I was there due to a family party, but owner was very kind and gave me a massive plate of food from their barbecue. Very nice breakfast too.

Everything was good. The food was tasty with reasonable price. Peaceful beach. The European breakfast was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay here.

Wij kwamen voor familiebezoek en 8 jaar geleden hebben we hier ook gezeten. De locatie aan het strand is heel fijn. Het strand is goed onderhouden en sfeervol. Het was heel rustig toen wij er waren. De eigenaar is vriendelijk en behulpzaam, net als het andere personeel. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid, zwembad is heerlijk en wij krijgen een upgrade van kamer naar een bungelow, omdat het zo rustig was. Hier waren we enorm blij mee. Voor ons was het ook een goede uitvalsbasis om familie in de buurt op te zoeken. Je kan er een scooter huren, waarmee je zo naar een supermarkt of restaurants kan gaan.

Het is wat verder weg van de markten bijvoorbeeld of andere activiteiten, maar dat was voor ons niet erg.

Peacefull and enjoyable

Ao Thai resort was a step above the rest. When I think of paradise from now on it’ll be associated with ao Thai resort. Uwe and his family have an amazing resort that feels very cozy and homey while being as luxurious and you would want for a secluded beach getaway with the family! Don’t miss out on the food because they are cooking some of the best food I’ve had on our travels throughout Thailand and it’s all made fresh and to order. Absolutely stunning resort and will be racing to come back and spend more time! Take advantage of the amazing amenities offered, take the excursions with the knowledgeable tour guides or do the massage that will knock out every knot in your body! 10/10 love it here and will be back!

After a hard few days in Udon Thani, Ao Thai was the best place for us to decompress, and relax before heading out into, Songkhla. Great breakfast a super, both western and Thai style. Good beach bar, and a nice team running the establishment. The owner was also present and gave us some great advice. So would highly recommended.

Its so clean, staff friendly, no disturbance, very kind and helpfull

Breakfast was grand, the owner Uwe very client-focused, the whole organisation & maintenance perfect, the food excellent & with a quick service, the beach regularly swept (to avoid the piles of garbage brought by the sea on either side) Nothing to fault them on, except maybe the staff lack of English (which is manageable by the ever-present Uwe). Great place to spend relaxing time.

Secluded and beautiful beach. Too bad it was rainy season. Breakfast was simply amazing!

Lovely garden, very nice pool, comfortable bungalows, excellent breakfast and good menu for dinner. The owner is keen to please his guests and does a fine job of that.

Great place off the tourist trail. Beautiful location on the beach and an ok pool. Bit pricey for the location but a solid choice. Friendly staff and good clean bungalows. Standard breakfast but decent restaurant.

Lovely setting; beautiful gardens; excellent food - dinner and breakfast; helpful, friendly staff; comfortable spacious rooms; free beer!

Great location right next to the sea. The amenities are well thought out, and everything is well maintained and clean. They also keep the beach clean, and it is a very quiet spot on the beach. Right next to some fishermen, other than that, you have the place to yourself. The food and drinks offered at the beach restaurant are delicious, and all the staff, as well as the German owner, are very nice people - thanks for the good time! I would recommend getting the bungalow right next to the beach. You can watch the sunrise from bed each morning, and it’s just a couple of steps to the beach. If you want to explore the surroundings you can rent a scooter, there is not much traffic and the roads are good, so it is easy and safe to get around with a scooter.

Perfect place for calm vacation, it has it's own beach, which is cleaned every day. Very fulfilling breakfast one can't eat everything of it, and what is the most convinient you can get it any time in the day for late sleepers. Very beautiful and well maintained area with garden filled with flowers. Cozy clean swimming pool, if the sea got waves. Basically the staff can help you with any request. When we felt just snakish, did not want to have a full meal, they just made us a cheese sandwich, which was not on the menu, but so perfect for that moment. Uwe, the owner, helped with all kind of questions: where to go and how to get there, even called to the Songhla zoo and asked if they have Panda, cause we based our decision to go there if there were Pandas, but no, no Panda 😆 still worth a visit though. Restaurant have a lot of tasty food, the cook is great! Even svabian Spatzle, you can find there. I respect Thai food, but after 17 days of travelling around Thailand I really wanted European food, so we always came back for dinner to hotel's restaurant 😊 they have great Thai options too. The cook is Thai. Recommend this hotel with all my heart, 10 out of 10!

Cleanliness of the beach. The German owner employs 2 people to clean and maintain the beach each morning. Staff were extremely accomodating to us as we were 2 men and it was one of our birthdays and they helped us to decorate our bungalow and to obtain an excellent Bavaria chocolate birthday cake with candles.

Location is far from Songkhla city - bit we had a truck so we could manage all of our sightseeing from this resort.

The place is so peaceful and almost like having a private beach to yourself. Perfect place for unwind!

Set away from the commercial tourism of the region Uwe and his team offer a friendly, peaceful and secluded beach retreat.

All the food was excellent - especially the breakfast. Comfortable bed, lovely shower room. Friendly, helpful staff, especially the boss. Pool was a bit noisy at times due to kids, but was closed at night so not really a big deal.

Sea view and the scruffy beach - just about average at best. This area is not really known for its beaches though, and we had been spoiled by Samui! Not much else to criticise.

Super location and great staff! Food was excellent and the hotel owner makes a great effort to get to know his customers. Chalets by the beach were very comfortable.

It’s a long walk to the beachside chalets when you have a lot of luggage. Also start breakfast earlier as 8am is a little late for some guests who want to leave early.

The shower room to low and small.. at 185cm bumped my head.. Mattress can upgrade a bit. The rest fine.

The staff is very accomodating. I brought my parents for a short 1 night vacation. The breakfast is yummy. A nice place to have a rest.

Fantastic welcome, we had a room facing the pool. Room very nice bed comfortable. We had beers and food at the beach bar and then he breakfast was very nice in the morning. The only minor thing was the tea wasn’t the best but this wasn’t enough to take away from the overall view of the resort. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely place and one of the cleanest beaches in Thailand. Good value for money, big clean rooms. Bed was a little on the hard side (reason for not giving full score on comfort). Quiet area and all in all a gem in hiding.

Der Hotemanager hat sich sehr um seine Gäste gekümmert. Fahrten gut organisiert. DAS Hotel ist klein und fein, sodass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Der Strand ist groß und im Meer zu schwimmen war klasse.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, mit einem sehr schönen Park sehnlichen Garten. Es ist der optimale Ort wenn man in Thailand Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ohne Massentourismuss.

Heerlijk resort om te relaxen. Fijne eigenaar en staf. Men spreekt redelijk goed Engels. Zijn gastvrij en behulpzaam. Nette schine ruime bungalow. Heerlijk strand/zwembad. Thai food en internationaal. Erg lekker. Goed ontbijt. Paradijs!

Vi hadde en fantastisk weekend. Ble mottatt av eieren Uwe med velkomstdrink. Han viste oss rummet og hvordan alt virket. Liten terrasse med utsikt mot sjøen 75m unna. All mat var meget bra og godt tillaget. Vi lovet Uwe å komme tilbake. Anbefaler stedet på det varmeste.

The resort has a nice and well maintained garden. The owner, Uwe, a German man came personally to welcome us. Unfortunatly the weather could have been better for us. Outside of the resort is nothing to do, no restaurants, no Tesco or 7-11 within walking distance. But the resort offers Thai and European food. I can recommend to stay here.

해변이 바로 보이는 18번 룸에 지냈습니다. 잘 관리된 해변이 아름다웠으며, 직원들이 굉장히 친절했습니다. 저녁에 먹은 Sea food BBQ 또한, 훌륭했습니다.

Resort was great. Service was great... Nice and relaxing.... Only issue is it is a long way from the shops... Owner was willing to take us to the shops....
