Great location, good food and the owner is most helpful.
Excellent family hotel. The morning breakfast was really good and the evening meals were good quality and served by friendly local staff. This was an excellent Irish holiday with friendly staff, Guinness and scenery. Excellent base for touring with good roads.
Nothing
Perfect location Staff very friendly and courteous Very clean
Nothing expected the friendly girl at the reception!
The Hotel is no go! The room I booked was supposed to have a size of 28 sqm, but actually the room was not larger than 14sqm! The Hotel manager told us that the roomsize on booking.com is just a rough estimation and that he has never measured it! What a joke! The rooms all have the same size he told us. So long story short, don’t go there it’s not worth it!
The owner and his staff were super helpful to us as we navigated one of the participants illness. They accommodated food requirement, showed us where to get the laundry done and kept our humor up. After our trip, they even arranged for one of our lost items to be returned to us.
The rooms in the front do get a bit of road niose.
Staff were lovely food was 1st class location was good with excellent views out back while eating dinner and breakfast.
Room was a tiny bit small was ok for 1 night but staying longer think be a bit too compact.
zeer mooie ligging aan zee ,lekker eten en ontbijt mooie kamers met kleine balkon met zicht op zee .
parkeren op straat .
The location was excellent. The beach was only a 5 minute walk behind the hotel. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Having a view of the sea while using the dining room was very special. The food was excellent. We all really enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend and will be booking another stay soon.
Location good, rooms are clean, staff are really friendly
Room was really small as a double room.
Our view was stunning from our room!
Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk.
Vrij kleine kamer.
Location. Staff. Homely atmosphere.
Dated.
Lovely location, good transport links as local bus stops outside hotel . The rooms very clean, comfortable beds and lovely helpful staff . Good breakfast .
Plug sockets near bedside would be handy for charging phones etc.
Excellent food, very tasty, top class. Room was nice, has all we needed. Staff were all very nice. We are looking forward to coming back.
Would be nice to have a high fibre option for breakfast such as granola, fruit & seeds for people who want a good fibre breakfast while on holiday. The full irish breakfast sausages etc was lovely food as an option.
Too expensive what what it was... small room bed side lights not working... poor water supply... breakfast very poor
I like this part of Connemara 😂
Please could you put black out curtains in the bedrooms
Breakfast cooked to order was lovely, room cosy and spotless
Personale accogliente.
An Cruiscin Lan is a quaint inn located just outside of Galway along the Wide Atlantic Way. The restaurant offers standard Irish fare. The rooms are traditional but the wifi connection is good. We enjoyed walking along the rocky coastline in the early morning followed by the hearty breakfast at the inn.
We were routed along single lane country road in the hills around Galway by both the rental car's GPS and google maps. It is better to drive into Galway then take the R336 over to An Spidéal.
Location and breakfast
The beds were hard and very high
Central location
Very small room and bed
Clean room with a great view, friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the heart of Spiddal.
No complaints.
Staff friendly free parking very comfortable
We had to leave early- requested a snack to breakfast in a bag. They couldn’t accommodate us - would have been a nice gesture
Friendly staff
Location Historical Feeling of old family hotel View of sea Staff very friendly Reasonable breakfast
No lift The manager was told I had a broken toe and I was wearing a surgical boot but he still put us in a room on the second floor It would have been simple to offer us a room on the first floor I feel as they were obviously not fully booked. We were on a 6 day road trip so lots of luggage to cart up two floors and 3 landings !
We've been many times now, we love Spiddal and visit each year. The hotel is an ideal location and always very clean, friendly and comfy. The bar food and brekkie are great quality also. Staff very friendly.
The price is a little too high based on the facilities available compared to other hotels with pools etc.
Posizione
Assenza della doccia e la colazione solo irlandese
Good location good food
All good
Great location
Everything was perfect, Perfect
Warm and welcoming. Friendly staff, rooms spotless. Toiletries were gorgeous,so fresh and replenished when needed. Generous with the tea, coffee facilities too. Extremely comfortable beds. Dined in restaurant one evening, superb choice on menu. Breakfast was very tasty and plenty of it on offer.
Very friendly family run hotel. All staff were excellent and food was the best we have had so far in our holiday. If you are there on a Sunday, there is a brilliant folk music session.
The traffic was quite noisy during the day.
The staff were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Especially John. The food was lovely
The location was ideal, in the middle of Spiddal village with easy access to the beach and for driving to different places. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely. The room was functional and clean. The parking in the front of the hotel was very handy too.
The room could be updated a bit i.e. there were no plugs by the beds. Other than that the room was fine, functional and clean.
Food and location
Small overpriced room
Clean
Excellent location. Good breakfast. Nice staff.
Local to amenities but right on main road so a little noisy. Gateway to the west.
Friendly
I paid for a deluxe room, with balcony and sea view, but we got a room with a balcony you could hardly stand on and a view of 5 air conditioning units. You can see the sea to the left, but it’s deceptive in the way it’s advertised. The hotel just need to remove deluxe and a sea view from the room description.
All good, the staff were outstanding and very nice. This small hotel would put the major hotels to shame with their fresh & outstanding breakfast/no buffet breakfast here. We will be back, thank you for your hospitality/well done 👍
All good
The cleanliness of the place, the friendliness of the staff and the delicious food.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Staff were helpful
Breakfast needs to improve. Milk was unfortunately slightly sour and diluted orange rather than fresh orange juice. Might have expected more considering the price.
The location
No hot water. No shower curtain or door
It was shelter
It was cold NO HEAT! Asked keeper about turning it on, as he controlled it came on for a short time then was shut back off??? Next morning mentioned it he walked to the back and it came on again for a short time??? Don’t know is this is a game he plays with patrons or not? Breakfast was very very limited
Very friendly staff, great food and very acomadating
Cute pub and nice staff. Nice view out the back to the ocean while enjoying breakfast.
The front rooms are fairly noisy from the highway running past.
My friend gave me a lift up and John changed my double to two singles so he could stay and have a drink with me also didn't charge him for the very good breakfast as he was a guest.
Lovely manager great location all we needed for a comfortable stay
What a find The staff here go well beyond what you would expect. As our score reflects what an amazing hotel this is and yes we definitely would go back
Leaving
The breakfast was adequate
The rooms and bar were cold
Right on the main thoroughfare so easy to find an easy to navigate. Free parking!!! You walk around the corner and there is a beautiful beach. The bed was super firm♥️
The shower floor. I know that might seem weird, but it was super bumpy and was not comfortable on my feet.
The ambience and staff
Limited to 2 pubs and 1 restaurant unless you want travel
Lovely quite comfortable hotel. The views are wonderful. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast looking out a huge window across the bay. Bed was very comfortable & the shower was very powerful. John was an absolute gentleman & a pleasure to deal with. We will be back again.
excellent location. owned and personally operated by local family for many years. Love to support local economy.
We like everything. It was like staying with an long time good friend.
Nothing.
Lovely place, bed wasn’t comfortable
The bed wasn’t good for my back at all. Also the car had to be parked upfront on a small hill.
Food was very good, host very friendly and helpful and excellent location.
Accueil chaleureux
Nice location easy drive or bus ride to Galway City. Our room had a water view.
Very quaint and has a good restaurant and pub attached. Great breakfast included. Don’t pass up on the fresh scones.
Rooms were ok, so was the breakfast, comfy beds
Change the waterkettle, it knocked out the power outlets in the room
Very friendly staff, good food, great location. Irish music on Wednesday
All good
Great location and extremely friendly staff.
I would have loved some more options for breakfast but it was still very tasty!
