Bright on 5th Guest house

Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and comfortable beds. Very secure and felt very safe. Parking on site. Mary and Chris were very helpful and friendly with excellent communication and couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay an A* experience. Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of fruits, breads and cereals. Also a cooked breakfast available. Would definitely stay again and would give it an 11 out 10 if I could! Fabulous!

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at Bright on 5th. Mary was a wonderful attentive host and the breakfast was divine. Bright on 5th is located on a quiet street in Summerstrand. We felt perfectly safe on the grounds of the B&B and would highly recommend this stay.

The guest house is beautiful; the rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable and the hosts extremely friendly and helpful. In my opinion this should a 5-star establishment (currently 4 starts). Not many places give you a Lindt chocolate :) This will now be my guest house of choice in Gqerberha.

They were the sweetest couple who went above and beyond to accommodate our breakfast time since we needed to catch a flight so early! I will be forever thankful!

The accommodation was super comfortable, functional, and clean. Mary and Chris were extremely attentive and helpful in giving an overview of the town and places to go (or not to go). Breakfast was great too. Before arriving, I was planning to stay just for one night, but as it was a great place to stay, I extended my stay there one more day.

Excellent location and cozy, beautiful rooms. The breakfast was very tasty and of high quality. We felt safe and well taken care of by the wonderful landlords, who gave us advice and helped whenever we had a problem. In the end, we decided to extend our stay.

We loved everything and will be happy to come back. The hospitality and dedication of the hosts is highly appreciated, and we can sincerely recommended this property!

Excellent location. Was travelling for work, but made to feel welcome by Mary and her husband. Room was superb, lights on during load shedding and parking available.

The TV had troubles with the signal, might be due to weather. We couldn't use the beautiful bathtub. Parking is small.

We had a terrific stay. Mary and Chris were lovely and went out of their way to make our night at Bright on 5th special. The house (Including our room) were clean, very comfortable and stylish. Breakfast was a dream!

the breakfasts were incredible, so were the beds, the bath and the proximity to the beach and shops.

We were there for a waterpolo tournament and Mary and Chris were very accommodating of our schedules. The breakfast was amazing and the room rooms were very spacious. Backup for most things during load shedding was a bonus. WAlking distance to the Boardwalk shopping centre and the new mall was very useful.

I stayed at Bright on 5th for a week while working in Port Elizabeth, and I had a wonderful stay. The room was large and comfortable, with a sofa and table and chairs and a desk, and self-catering amenities including a microwave, toaster, water kettle and tea/coffee and small fridge. The bathroom was also spacious, with a separate shower stall and a large soaking tub. The B&B is in a quiet area, but it is still walking distance or a very short drive to a few restaurants, a mall, and the beach and promenade. The breakfasts were delicious and huge - I definitely ate more than I usually do for breakfast, and often skipped lunch! Mary and Chris were so accommodating and helpful with recommendations on dining and activities. I will definitely stay here again! My only complaint is that the wifi was very slow and spotty - I often had to revert to using the wifi modem that I rented because the guesthouse wifi wasn't working or would cut out.

We stayed on 2 separate nights and Mary and Chris made us feel ever so welcome. The Guest House is excellent and I can't speak highly enough of the excellent accommodation and the way we were looked after. I hope we can stay again in the future.

Mycket trevligt värdpar som driver ett litet nybyggt mkt fräscht guesthouse. Lugnt läge med kort promenad till strand och restauranger. Jag kommer åka tillbaka!

This is a stylish house/hotel with an exceptional service. The location is close to the beach. The owners are very friendly and supportive. Good choice if you stay for a few days in Port Elisabeth

Great gem in the Summerstrand area. Owners are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the breakfast is great.

Two adults and a teenager stayed in a two bedroom suite. Lots of room, comfortable beds, perfectly clean. The breakfast was delicious. As a matter of fact, I need to ask for a recipe. We will certainly return!
