Our stay was beyond magical, rooms, food, everything amazing… the location of the hotel is really special, you can see chitwan from there: (we saw both tigers and rhinos from the hotel!) The staff was AMAZING! Sanjay was the best in every kind of way and Swastika the best guide we have ever had.

Die Badezimmer sind zwar modern jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

The bed in the rooms were very poorly placed. The beds are in the middle with the fan and the vent facing towards you. There was no regulator of the fan in the room

Reviewed Apr 5, 2025The setting of Meghauli Serai is magical, and celebrating a birthday in the heart of the jungle was an experience we’ll never forget. Our guide, Swastika, was wonderfully knowledgeable about the local wildlife and made every effort to make our safari tours exciting. Although we missed seeing tigers, the birthday celebration on a boat in the river was incredibly special. A note to future visitors: the experience is on the pricier side, but it’s well worth it for the memories you’ll create.

Reviewed Nov 12, 2023Wonderful stay in a beautiful, fantastically located resort overlooking the Rapti River and Chitwan Safari Park. What really made the experience, beyond the gorgeous facilities and location, was the staff - who were incredibly thoughtful, attentive and friendly. Their Nepali hospitality made the experience exceptional.
Very hard to be critical but if I could suggest one thing is to reduce the plastics at the property. However the GM is already on to this and exploring ways to replace plastic water bottles with more sustainable options. I think this area is work in progress but it would be great to return to see further sustainable practices in place.

Reviewed Oct 19, 2019Beautiful, intimate property - only ~25 (large) rooms - most with private plunge pools. Photos on-line don't do the property justice. Prices and extras are at upper end however the property works hard to deliver value - though cost of airport transfer (US$90) and bubbly water (US$9 a bottle) were extreme. Food v. good, though limited menu. Jungle tour, river tour and cultural night - hotel/staff worked hard to make these events special. For the staff - nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
