the views, food, staff, transport, beds, linen, were impeccable. I highly recommend this as a destination when visiting Thailand. The options of swimming, canoeing, SUP boarding are on your doorstep. and so much more.

The Price was a little steep but it was so good I'm glad I spent the money.

Unieke ervaring zo slapen in een huisje op het meer in het midden van de jungle. We zijn via een privé longtailboot aangekomen aan dit hotel. Deze boot hebben wij kunnen boeken via het hotel. Alleen al de boottocht naar het hotel is een unieke ervaring : hoe mooi is Khao Sok : niet normaal. De huisjes zijn ruim en de kinderen konden op een verdiep apart slapen. De bedden zijn heel goed en de privé buitendouche is leuk! Ook beschik je over een buitenterras met kano. Wij vonden een eigen kano hebben heel tof. Kano varen rond het resort is een aanrader! Diner en ontbijt zijn lekker.

Tijdens het diner en ontbijt hebben we lang moeten wachten op het eten. Het zwembad viel voor ons wat tegen, kan een opfrisbeurt gebruiken. Misschien tip voor hotel : 's nachts overal de lichten doven zodat we beter naar de sterren kunnen kijken.

The facilities could be more practical, no fridge and no electric kettle, which was not good for us.

De locatie is uniek.

We betaalden meer dan €500 voor een nacht en hiervoor verwacht je toch wel een betere en vriendelijkere service. De boottocht ‘s ochtends was erg onaangenaam want wij zaten in een open boot en kregen hevige koude regenbuien over ons heen. Er werd niet teruggekeerd naar het hotel en er waren geen regencapes ofzo voorzien. Dit leek me nu wel een minimum voor hen om aan te denken, want de dag voordien hadden ze het wel gedaan. Het eten in het restaurant is ook totaal niet veggie of vegan friendly in vergelijking met veel plaatsen in Thailand. We hadden dit nochtans op voorhand gemeld. Er was geen enkel probleem om vegan ontbijt te krijgen volgens hen maar de volgende ochtend bleek het dan toch niet zo evident. We moesten hier heel lang op wachten en waren te laat voor check-out (hier waren ze ook niet flexibel in… we moesten om 10u buiten). Het was de kostelijkste nacht uit mn leven en zou er nooit meer teruggaan. Geldverspilling!

Eigentlich alles. Die Lage mitten im Khao-Sok-Nationalpark ist absolut außergewöhnlich und kaum in Worte zu fassen. Die Zimmer waren wunderschön und außergewöhnlich sauber, der gesamte Service auf sehr hohem Niveau. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Herzlichkeit des gesamten Teams – alle waren unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und warmherzig. Unsere Tochter hat sich vom ersten Moment an rundum wohlgefühlt. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight war unsere Tour mit Ava. Sie war so herzlich und liebevoll und hat unseren Ausflug in den Regenwald und zum Wasserfall zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht. Einfach ganz, ganz toll.

Ganz ehrlich: nichts. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt von Anfang bis Ende genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Tolle Lage, sehr gut zum relaxen. Personal freundlich. Die Kinder liebten es im See zu baden und Kanu zu fahren. Die Kinder fanden die Empore zum schlafen gemütlich.

Unterkunft: die Schwimmwesten, die zum Haus gehörten haben fürchterlich gestunken und wurden anscheinend noch nie gereinigt. Es gab keinerlei Schränke/ ablageflächen für Klamotten. Es gab nur einen Stuhl im Zimmer. Kein Sonnenschirm/Sonnenschutz für draußen. Keine gemütliche Sitzgelegenheit für draußen. Personal: freundlich und bemüht, aber anscheinend schlecht ausgebildet. Geschirr im Restaurant wurde nicht weggeräumt. Teilweise mussten wir über eine Stunde auf das Frühstück warten. Ausflüge und Aktivitäten: absolut überteuert! Essen: das schlechteste Essen was wir auf unserer Thailandreise hatten. Absolut kein guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Die lange Anreise hat sich nicht gelohnt!

"שודרגנו" לחדר שכביכול היה יותר גדול אבל היה מנותק משאר המלון והיינו צריכים להזמין סירה שתבוא כל פעם לקחת ולהחזיר ללובי המרכזי/מסעדה. זה לא נעים להרגיש כל כך מנותק וחסר ספונטניות. החדר שקיבלנו אמנם היה יותר גדול אבל החלק של הילדים היה קטן יותר ובכללי החדר היה דל ובסיסי. המלון יקר מדי

De locatie is uiteraard fantastisch: we hadden een deluxe kamer met alle denkbare faciliteiten, maar geen koelkastje. In het restaurant kun je echter de hele dag koel water tappen. Alle kamers hebben een steigertje met een kano, wat superleuk is. Je plonst zo het meer in. Vanuit de kamer kijk je uit over het meer. Personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Het ontbijt is voor een hotel als dit wat sober. Cappuccino is bijvoorbeeld niet verkrijgbaar, wel koffie thee en sapjes, toast, boter en jam en vrije keuze voor extra’s van een menukaart. Mijn mening over het ontbijt is ingegeven door de egg benedict die steenkoud was en waar ik bijna een uur op gewacht. Sommige gerechten en drankjes (bijvoorbeeld een glas witte of rode wijn) staan niet op de kaart, maar zijn wel verkrijgbaar.

The location is a winner. absolutely mind blowing. we came as a family and had a wonderful experience, we came for one night, did the safari trip - I'm not sure if this place fits a longer stay for families.

The restaurant is the only place you can eat and it's a bit overpriced (quality is good, not exceptional).

The breathtakingly beautiful views, the kind staff who made a special desert for my husband’s birthday. The place is clean. The boat ride there is very scenic. The mojitos are great.

500 Rai location is very far from the pier, it takes 1-1.5 hours by boat to get there, whereas other houses can be closer. The boat ride is very beautiful but it can rain during August so make sure you are prepared for that. The accommodation is quite basic, value does not match the price when compared to other floating houses. You can hear constant talking, footsteps and banging from the other guests inside your room. The shower is unusable, it goes from cold to searing hot and back to cold. The pool area is neglected with rusty nails sticking out, none of the guests used it while we were there. The bedding is polyester and they used too much heavily perfumed laundry detergent. My daughter’s stuffy toy smelled like the laundry detergent long after we left. The food was not good compared to rest of Thailand. No additional activities are included with the stay unlike other floating houses you can book inclusive activities. When booking additional activities, it is 2x compared to booking with other providers, but you are locked in, because you are so remote. They offer a complementary morning boat ride, but then don’t take you to where the wildlife lives.

Lage, Lage und Aussicht, Ruhe. Essen war gut, jedoch nicht herausragend. Wer früh rausgeht kann morgens einige Tiere sehen, Affen, Elefanten (sehr selten) Monitorreptile usw.

Nur Luxusprobleme: Schlechtes Englisch des Personal und auch inhaltliches Grundverständnis in einer Konversation. Bedienung ist für ein teures Restaurant vergleichsweise schlecht geschult: Fassen Gläser beim bedienen oben am Rand an, Starters und Appetzer kommen nach der Hauptmahlzeit, verwechseln Bestellung von den wenigen Tischen. Alles im Allen unspektakulär; jedoch wenn sich die Lokation als etwas besonderes darstellt sollten die es auch liefern.

The location was excellent. Breathtaking scenery. Each room had kayaks and life jackets. Staff are very nice. Food is delicious.

Activities were overpriced. The lodges had gaps which allowed geckos in.

Wahnsinns tolle Lage, Abgeschiedenheit - es ist etwas sehr besonderes in einem schwimmenden Häuschen zu übernachten

Leider ist das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis extrem strapaziert. Es sind einfache kleine Hütten, das Restaurant war das schlechteste während unseres ganzen Thailand Urlaubes und dafür sehr teuer. Auch die angebotenen Aktivitäten waren völlig überteuert. Das Hotel könnte einfache Dinge leicht verbessern. Zum Beispiel nicht morgens um 7:00 mit einem lauten Wagen mehrfach an den Zimmern vorbei rumpeln, besserer Service im Restaurant und eine bessere Küche. Dann könnte der Preis gerechtfertigt sein.

Das 500 Rai Floating Resort ist etwas ganz besonderes - Eine absolute Ruheoase auf dem See. Die Sonnenaufgänge über dem See zu beobachten, war wunderschön! Die Boat-Safaris, die Kajak-Tour oder die Wanderung zum Tarzan Viewpoint kann ich sehr empfehlen! Die Aussicht von dort war phänomenal! Der Service war gut und das Essen war lecker (auch für Veganer ist die Auswahl gut). In einem floating Haus zu wohnen, war eine super Erfahrung. Ich habe meine Tage dort sehr genossen

Der er fantastisk smukt midt i nationalparken. Det tager cirka 40 min med longtail boat at komme dertil. Meget sødt personale og virkelig lækker mad. Utrolig smuk udsigt og roligt. Dejligt at der er gratis kajakker.

Der er fin aircondition på værelserne men mangler køleskab så vandet kan holde sig koldt. Der bliver nemlig virkelig varmt i hytterne. Der er meget lydt, alt knirker og kan høre naboer og når nogen går rundt i hytten så knirker gulve. Det er for dyrt i forhold til hvad man får. Ja der er smukt men hytterne er brune og kedelige og lidt spejder hytter. Al mad koster jo og dyre drinks osv. vi havde to nætter (to voksne og tre teenagere) og det er rigeligt. Vi badede og roede i kajakker. Tog ikke på ture.

Exceptional location and views, very friendly and kind staff. Unique experience.

The place was really worn down. It is really falling apart. We stayed at the Honeymoon suite and even though it was a cool experience, you could definitely tell that it was nearing its end and things need replacement and really good renovation. The pool’s platform is cracked, the pool tub itself is torn so the lake water just comes in. The doors don’t close properly, due to gaps. Shower floors were black and in need of replacement. For €350 per night the honeymoon suite would be worth it, but definitely extremely overpriced at €1250+ per night. Not worth it at all for that price. I guess the other villas are even worse compared to the honeymoon suite we stayed at.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt in traumhafter Lage Die Lage des 500 Rai Floating Resort ist einfach traumhaft. Besonders der herrliche Sonnenaufgang über den Bergen war ein echtes Highlight. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Unser Bungalow war schön, gemütlich und perfekt, um die Ruhe und Natur zu genießen. Ein ganz besonderer Ort, den wir jederzeit wieder besuchen würden. 🌿🌅

500 Rai is nice but it's not a $1000/nite value!! Way too costly. I would book a different resort, more in the center of the karst area. We were going to catch a private boat back at ~2:00. Our Booking confirmation said an 11 am check out. So we packed up and departed our room. Then at the desk, they said we had until 1 pm to check out. Had we realized that, we would have planned something for the morning. As it was, we decided to leave on the group long tail at about 11. So we lost about half a day there. The people at the desk weren't apologetic re the lack of notice re check out time; but they were super-concerned that we didnt ask for a refund on our private boat-to the point of having us sign a release! MONEY seems to be their main concern, not guest satisfaction. The free "Lake tour" doesnt go in the area where the karsts are the most magnificent. 500 Rai sits at the edge of a flat part of the lake. Not as scenic as other of the floating resorts we observed. Also, the private long-tail on the way to 501 RAI wasn't covered in the passenger area and rain was eminent. It was small and we got sprayed with water as the man plowed thru the waves on the lake. The driver didnt do anything scenic en route. Those who took the group long tail had a large, covered boat, no spray and the driver took them thru some scenic areas en route. Those differences should be noted where people make the choice, as we would have done the group boat had we known how little we were getting for the extra money we paid.

מלון שהוא חלום, חוויה חד פעמית! שקט ושלווה יוצאים מן הכלל וצוות מאד מקצועי ונעים. המלון כולו אסטטי מאוד, ממוקם במיקום פנטסטי בלב אגם צ'או-לאן, חדרים יפים על שפת האגם, אפשר לקפוץ ולשחות באגם או לשוט עם קייאק צמוד. חוויה! ארוחת בוקר מצויינת. הנסיעה הלוך ושוב בסירה היא בנופים יפהפיים וחוויה בפני עצמה.

חוויה חד פעמית בגלל המחיר שלטעמנו היה מעט מופרז, לכן שהינו בו רק לילה אחד. כל הזמן יש תחושה של "מלון יקר לתיירים עשירים". צריך לשלם בנפרד על כל שירות, למשל הסירה הלוך ושוב. ראינו בכך טעם לפגם. מסעדת המלון טובה מאד אך יקרה יחסית למחירי תאילנד וכך גם המסאג'ים.

Le prix est totalement déraisonnable par rapport à la qualité des prestations : chambres petites et au confort sommaire, cuisine de cantine mais au prix fort, cout des transferts prohibitif…. Bref, des prix de 5 étoiles pour une prestation de 2 étoiles.

There is no better view. And the beds are fantastic. Great to have one’s own canoe and patio. Easy to get in and out of the wonderfully clean warm fresh water. Loved the place.

Incredibly expensive. Food average to below average and also expensive. Unclear communication before coming. Feeling of everything needing to be paid extra. Staff ok, some kind. Some not so friendly.

Amazing place situated right on the water, with an astonishing view and very friendly staff. I enjoyed jumping directly in the water after waking up. After that, you go for a 20 min kayak trip and visit wild monkeys in the trees. Very good food and luxurious ambiente - with corresponding prices. I did not regret going there for a minute.

Transportation to the venue was not perfectly organized - but no problem at all. And the free internet access is limited. Also no problem given the place and the ambiente.

The staff is super friendly, and helpful!

You can’t check in until 2:00 and leave by 10:00 if you only stay 1 night for the experience. However that leaves you very little time to do any activities and enjoy any leisure time since the activities are booked for specific times not at your convenience.

The location is stunning. You can easily forget about entire world having water, silence and beautiful nature all around.

Everything was great. Next time we’ll get a bit more specious room but the vile we were in had everything we needed.

The food wasn’t the best and there was no other options since it was such a remote location.

View, location, food was delicious.

Staff did not like Americans and not only showed it, but told us. They were not helpful with trying to get WiFi to clarify transportation for departureand just kept telling us it was “spotty” yet guests checking in were able to get access. Help with WiFi was asked for 5 times, with “emerrgency” words used due to fact we needed transportation the very next morning from pier. . Credit cards for many guests could not be run when checking out due to poor WiFi, which required a staff member accompanying us to the 7-11 to get cash out of an ATM which she just shoved in her pockets. We were told several times “maybe you ran out of money” or reached “your limit” which was not true, we had plenty of money,and we had no further issues at any other place. Many other.guests were “not able to pay” when trying to check out when using Visa cardsfrom many banks and counties and yet no accountability was taken by resort for not having a Wi-Fi system that could run these payment options, but instead blaming guests and acting annoyed. So check out cost us time and interfered with travels arrangements The tours were all booked by the time we arrived except the evening wildlife tour which was overpriced for viewing 2 birds. Communication needed to take place through booking.com which was in inconvenient Though food was excellent, it was overpriced ($100 USD bottle of wine with limited other options) and served by staff that gave the impression they didn’t want to be working there.

It’s a beautiful oasis.

A resort that floats on a quiet lake. It is as luxurious as can be for such a rustic setting (e.g., lukewarm shower water). The moto is "disconnect to reconnect". No real wi fi. But you have your own kayak to tour the lake and you can join hotel excursions (free and paid). There are also various activities at the hotel; we learned to make Thai tea and dessert. If you are looking for the opposite of the busy Phuket-style resort, connecting to others in your party and to nature, this might be the place for you. If you are lucky, you will see many birds, some moneys, and (if you are very lucky) a wild elephant.

We could not get more than lukewarm water in the shower. But the weather is warm and this is not the kind of place where you worry too much about that.

I was nervous when I read some recent reviews but we were thrilled with our time here. The newer sister resort has more updated design but this spot was full of options should we have wanted more to do. In the end we connected and visited and just enjoyed the incredible peacefulness and beauty. The food is fine and met expectations for a houseboat resort. I leaned into what the staff said was good and are fine. The staff is so wonderful and they had excellent communication for all the logistics. We loved our time here and I would like to come back and stay in the 360 resort next time.

Nothing!! Oh they need to sell playing cards!!! And we would have enjoyed a bigger assortment of games. And they need games for adults and older kids too.

Duidelijk zichtbaar dat onderhoud noodzakelijk is. Links rechts wat verf nodig, schoonmaken binnenkant restaurant? Wat knutselige oplossingen waardoor prijs/kwaliteit mij tegenviel.

We had an exceptional stay at these bungalows - sleeping in a bungalow on a lake is truly an experience! The resort is situated in a spectacular location, the bungalows are very nice and clean. Food was good and Staff was very nice too.

Pool area needs a bit of an upgrade and restaurant service needs to be improved.

We had a wonderful stay at Rai 500. The boat transfer to the hotel was perfectly on time, which immediately gave us a great first impression. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who explained everything clearly and made us feel very comfortable throughout the stay. The hotel itself is extremely impressive, surrounded by stunning nature, and the floating pool is a real highlight that adds so much to the experience. It truly feels like a special and relaxing place, and we enjoyed every moment there.

Unfortunately, there were a few disappointing moments during our stay, mainly related to the dining experience. During dinner, my wife and I both ordered meals. Unfortunately, my wife’s dish was very bland and completely lacking in flavor. While I had already finished eating, the waitress came and cleared my plate, and then also cleared my wife’s plate even though it was almost completely full. Only after removing the plate did she ask if it was okay to take it. What disappointed us most was that it was very obvious the plate was nearly untouched, yet no one from the staff approached us to ask why the dish was returned almost full or to check if there was an issue with the food. This lack of attention was very frustrating and disappointing. Additionally, during breakfast, no one greeted us or explained the breakfast setup. We were left confused, unsure if what we were seeing was the full breakfast offering. Only after we approached the staff ourselves did they explain that breakfast is served to the table, which should have been clarified upon arrival.

Beautiful location. Even though most people criticise the food, we found the quality acceptable.

Not worth the time or money. Far from luxury. The floating bungalows have noisy metallic structures that kept us awake at night. There were hidden fees everywhere (which felt dishonest): national park entry, boat transfer, entering cave fee, plus restaurant prices that exclude service charge and VAT. When it rains, all “free” activities (yoga, breathing sessions, lake sightseeing) are cancelled, so the whole “disconnect to reconnect” idea falls apart if the weather isn’t perfect. Stunning setting, but the experience feels overpriced and poorly managed.

Amazing service very accomodating

We love everything except restaurant. The food was not tasty at all and the service was unprofessional and very slow.

Almost everything, you have a beautiful resort and your staff were all fabulous. A special mention to your staff at the pier office who arranged for our bag to be delivered to our hotel in Krabi after we had left it on departure. We were very impressed, thank you!

We stayed in the family villa (no 5) and I didn’t think the upstairs level was very safe for the children, it needs extra barriers. My daughter (age 8) wakes up every night in a sleep walking state and walks herself to the toilet, I was terrified she would step over the wrong side of the barrier, thinking that was the stairs and that she would fall directly to the floor. You need an extra rail on both sides, especially the side with the stairs to make sure the children step over the right part of the low barrier you have there. Please! I also think your restaurant would benefit from a separate lunch and dinner menu, just so there are options if you are staying for multiple days.
