CASA AMORA Studio Apartments

Sehr freundlicher empfang. Das studio liegt in einer ruhigen gegend aber trotzdem sehr zentral. Nahe einer metrostation. Es ist auch möglich zu fuß ins zentrum zu gehen.

Located next to a lovely public park with food kiosk. The park felt like a neighborhood living room. Most welcoming.

Amazing! The neighborhood is fantastic. Everything you need is at walking distance. Paolo is so nice and available. The studio is impeccable. Thank you!

Sehr hübsche individuelle Ferienwohnung mit exzellentem Frühstück. Getn wieder.

Paulo is an excellent host. Very informative and helpful. The studio is lovely, immaculately clean and with great facilities. A bonus for me is the excellent pod coffee machine, with pods included.

Fantastiskt boende som vi rekommenderar alla. En underbar frukost där man väljer vad man vill ha och när och sedan levereras den till dörren. Stor service och tjänstvillighet hos all personal vilket verkligen förhöjer vistelsen väldigt mycket

Un hermoso y acogedor alojamiento. La atención inmejorable.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfasts. Recommend adding a protective wall for balcony/upstairs and protective railing for staircase. Thanks for the great visit!

Would recommend this stay to anyone. Lovely suite in a good location.

Very nice and cosy studio. Good value for money. Excellent breakfast that was delivered to the room.

Utrolig koselig sted.

Sehr guter Gastgeber

Excellent staff! Very attentive. Comfy studio space. Uphill but over can find you! Grocery store close by, room includes a little refrigerator. Some street noise at night if you are a lighter sleeper with windows open. Reportedly great restaurant around corner (didn’t make it there, opens at 730pm). Nice park also right there. Good Wi-Fi. Paulo is the best!

Agréable studio, relativement calme . Seul inconvénient les escaliers non adaptés aux personnes âgées . Métro à 400m. Supermarché à 300m devant un joli parc. Petit déjeuner complet, peut être pour 2 un peu plus de beurre et de configuré .

We loved this property. It is located in a great part of the city - on foot, you can head in any direction and find excellent places to eat drink, art exhibitions to view, shops to pop into etc. It's tucked away off the main streets and beside a park - just a lovely spot to start and end your days in Lisbon.

We enjoyed staying in Casa Amora studio very much. Paulo was hospitality and friendly and the staff was helpful. We definitely will consider to come back and hopefully their garden will operate again soon for breakfast time.

Magnifique

Excellent service et accueil de Paolo et son équipe. Très bien situé et délicieux petit-déjeuner

The room was great as it had a little kitchen area and very clean. Staff great, every morning brought us our breakfast and anything we needed including beach towels, were ready.

Great location, nice new Argentinian restaurant next door. Breakfast service was great. Lots of good recommendations for nearby sites.

Sehr freundlicher Host, Location nahe einer U-Bahn Station (ca. 4 Min zu Fuss). Lebensmittelgeschäft in ca. 2 Min erreichbar zu Fuss. Alles in allem sehr gut.

Ett mycket bra rum/lgh, mysigt på en lugn gata med närhet till en trevlig park och restauranger. Bra bemötande från personalen, allt var topp för vår resa.

Although our stay here was only 36 hours until our flight home, the staff went above and beyond. All the little touches were noticed. They even had a towel warmer. Since our flight left early, Vladimir made sure we had plenty of food to eat for our early morning. We appreciated their hospitality and definitely recommend this place.

Paulo was fantastic. Great service, plenty of advice on what to see, where to eat and how to enjoy our time in Lisbon. The made to order breakfasts were amazing. We read the reviews before booking and it was even better than the recommendations.

We stayed at casa amora for 4 nights, and really loved the location and setting, really fantastic breakfasts including home made sweet things every day, and a really friendly host in Paulo. When we did have an issue in our room, it was sorted very quickly and efficiently. Hotels.com did list it as free parking on-site. This isn't the case, but on-street parking is cheap (and free after 7pm and all weekend), and plentiful.

Excellent

Wonderful stay! Convenient location, quiet, comfortable room, and amazing staff. The staff was so helpful, friendly, and welcoming that we will absolutely come back.

Excellent customer service from Juan! Great welcome, gave top notch advice on what to see, how to get there and top tops on where to eat. We stayed in a duplex studio - the door opened out onto the street, but the neighbourhood felt safe at night. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful place to stay at, and the staffs hospitality is wonderful!! The favorite place I stayed at, hands down. Close to metro station, easily walkable to main attractions. Breakfast was phenomenal. Cannot recommend Casa Amora enough! Juan will provide you with a quick overview of the city and provided great recs! Thank you Casa Amora!

Charming quaint hotel with home cooked delicious breakfast. Service was very friendly and helpful.

I really liked how welcoming and attentive Juan was when I arrived at the door. Also, the mobile phone that he gives you was a life saver for me! I used it to find my way around Lisbon and also to find places to eat for dinner. The breakfast each morning was delicious! The property is located near a metro station which is only 4 stops from downtown Lisbon. It is also near a grocery store which is great if you want to pick up some items to eat/cook in your room. The only thing I wasn't so keen on was having my studio on the ground floor.

Fabulous service and staff. Good location. Great breakfast

Very quirky, unique place. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Good location within walking distance of lots of the sights in Lisbon. Very nice breakfast on offer, with freshly made clafoutis, tortillas and pastries. Highly recommended 😊

Excellent first visit to Portugal overall . We had an upgraded room. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine. The hotel is a two minute walk from metro (Rato stop ). All the guests receive a smart phone that helps them navigate thru Lisbon. The phone also has google search and allows you to make local calls for free, with an addition of 30 Min / a day of international calls . Close also to a grocery store .

Wonderful, cosy and comfy!

Great staff, unique and comfortable rooms, beautiful courtyard where we enjoyed delicious meals from the heart. Home away from home.

This was the cutest guesthouse we’ve ever stayed in. We chose the Studio Duplex and loved the decor and the space. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was great. Juan is fantastic and really makes you feel at home when you arrive. He goes above expectations giving us some insider guides and helping us feel extra special. The breakfast in the outdoor space is quaint and the food was plentiful and delicious. The neighborhood is a little out of the way from the Touristic side of Lisbon but still a 10 min walk. We loved it so we could see a little more true Lisbon lifestyle.

Good breakfast, great service in a nice part of Lisbon. Can walk to many good restaurants in Príncipe Réal, short walk to Rato metro station to get to airport or get to bigger Lisbon sights with tram 24. Juan helped make our visit a wonderful start to our vacation, with lots of information and other little treats.

The selfish guy in me would prefer not to review this venue, so it remains a bit of a hidden gem. But having been welcomed so incredibly well by all at Casa Amora, it's the very least I can do. Look no further, this is the best guesthouse in Lisbon. Perhaps in the whole of Portugal. From the leafy terrace that begs for a lazy afternoon and a bottle of wine, to the impossibly cosy bedroom that almost convinced me to forget about Lisbon and stay in, the place screams attention to detail. I could go on about how good the food served at breakfast is, how lovely the staff is, how handy the location is, et al. But here's a more revealing statement: I'll do my best to fly back to Lisbon and stay at Casa Amora again (this time for at least five days) as soon as possible.

I can't say enough about Casa Amora and the staff. My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights on our first visit to Lisbon. I picked this place because of the great reviews. But it truly is a special place. We texted Paolo from the airport and he greeted us at the door when we arrived. For 40 minutes he talked to us about breakfast every morning, gave us a map and things to see in the city, and most importantly gave us a phone with GPS, internet, phone calling. We used this phone to call restaurants and our bank, for maps (we would of been lost w/o it on some of those streets), internet. It also had restaurant and sight seeing suggestions. It is about a 30 min walk to the heart of Lisbon downhill. Coming back it is uphill, but we bought the 24 hour metro card for 6.40 euro and that was key. The Rato station (yellow line) is an easy walk and from there could go anywhere. We are not metro people and it was very easy to use. We stayed in the Manuel Oliviera apartment which was on the corner across from a charming park. The apt was very clean, bathroom shower had great pressure, soap & shampoo provided. There was coffee and tea. Fresh water bottle every night. Maid service every day. Complimentary bottle of wine. One thing to note: the bed is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs (for those that get up in the night). The highlight was the morning breakfast! A shout out to Nita!! She cooked everyday a delicious breakfast. They accomodated early breakfast

Casa Amora was the most wonderful place to spend a long weekend in Lisbon - so perfect, in fact, that me and my partner got engaged in their lovely courtyard!! Juan and Carlos were so helpful and it really felt like we were staying with family, they were so kind and made our visit really special. Juan gave excellent recommendations of places to visit around the city, and the smartphone they give all the guests loaded with information and direct contact with the guesthouse was such a useful innovation. We can't wait to come back to visit soon!!

Casa Amora was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It’s more than just a guest house. From the warm welcome we received, the beautiful room with unique features and furnishings and the attention to detail from the team during our stay, we couldn’t have asked for more. Special shout out for the delicious homemade breakfast dishes, especially the tortilla and cake!

Wonderful boutique hotel. Amazing breakfast included and lots of little thoughtful amenities. Loved the courtyard where breakfast was. Room was nice size and had everything we needed. Host was very helpful with suggestions on how to explore Lisbon. Even had a cell phone for us to use

Wondering stay. Charming place. Amazing service. I will book again.

I cannot recommend Casa Amora and the fabulous staff there highly enough. It is situated perfectly with easy, straightforward access to the heart of the city and numerous parks and the rooms and living facilities were amazing. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, giving me a detailed overview of ideas for what to do during my holiday and catering to my dietary requirements (Coeliac) with ease. As a young woman visiting the city alone I could not have felt more safe or well looked after - they even provide a phone pre-loaded with great suggestions for places to visit that you can use to navigate. I am already looking forward to returning.

Fantastic stay. Booked studio room for two nights in Lisbon. Service was excellent and accessible- they kindly allowed me to check in early in the morning and offered be breakfast when I arrived. Provided smartphone with data to use in the city and lots of great recommendations. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Shower was surprisingly good. Breakfast excellent as well. Would definitely book again.

Juan and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing. Love everything about this place.

Great little bed and breakfast. Great location Amazing breakfast. Small but very comfortable! Amazing staff

Everyone made us feel so welcome and cared for. There is a wonderful old bar right next door with wonderful service and ambiance.

To stay in Casa Anora hotel was a big pleasure for us. The hotel cell phone with its application was very useful to discover Lissabon

Amazing Hotel, Amazing Staff, Amazing Experience!!

Excellent stay in a 150 year-old house. We got a studio room which offered great space. It was decorated in a shabby chick style but with a host of modern amenities. Kitchenette was very well equipped and the bathroom was spacious. Everything was very clean and daily service was great. We got a free smart phone when we arrived with unlimited data and 30 minutes of international calls included per day and we made good use of it navigating the streets of Lisbon. Next door is the oldest bar in Lisbon (since 1970s) which is a must visit (closed on Sundays) decorated in Art Deco style from the 1920s. Breakfast was really tasty witch selection of cheeses and meats plus yogurts and cereals. Fresh croissants were offered daily (courtesy of the chef Anita) as well as various omelettes and cakes. If you are staying for a longer period it might seem a bit repetitive, but the guys running the place are trying to mix it up a bit - we got offered pancakes on one of the days. There is also some nibbles, fruits and an honesty bar available during the day. The garden is a real gem. Many thanks to Juan for the hospitality.

Amazing staff. Best bed and breakfast with delicious food 20 minutes walking from the city Center !

Even before we arrived to Lisbon, Casa Amora offered us a free pick up service from the airport. Once we arrived we were greeted by Paulo and shown around the hostel, he was very kind and extremely helpful. The cellphone given to us by the staff was filled with useful information about where to eat, shop, etc. A very nice touch! The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. The breakfast area was beautiful, and the food itself sublime. Joao and the rest of the staff was always friendly and attentive to our every need. The location is perfect, not too close to the hustle and bustle of the city center, it really makes you feel like a local. We will totally return!!! Made our trip to Lisbon unforgettable

What a lovely little hotel. The staff were great and the breakfasts were even better. Our room was clean, spacious and so comfortable. Would defiantly stay again.

I can’t recommend Casa Amora highly enough! The room was beautiful, breakfast in the courtyard was awesome and, above all, the service was impeccable. Juan went out of his way to make sure that our stay was perfect. Thank you to all at Casa Amora!!

Paulo, and the team at Casa Amora were great. Very friendly, provided lots of information, and made everyone feel welcome. The property itself is charming, has great decor, and is located next to a park in a neighborhood area of Lisbon. The location made us feel like we were "locals" and not just tourists hiding in a hotel. Breakfast each morning on their patio was not only delicious, but gave us an opportunity to meet and talk with other guests. Our only complaint was that we only had time to spend 3 nights at Casa Amora.

Very impressed with the staff at Casa Amora, provided a mobile phone upon check in to find out sites you should visit and how to get there with google map.

Wonderful place to stay while in Lisbon. The perfect gem!

I plan itineraries for independent travelers. My clients loved Casa Amora. They noted that they were given a cellphone for use while there and it came with a lot of helpful information. The staff was very welcoming and the breakfasts were excellent. They also appreciated the availability of coffee, tea, cookies, fruit and snacks. It is in a convenient location and seems to be an excellent choice for a stay in Lisbon.

We were made to feel so special at Casa Amora. Juan the manager was so personable & kind. They accommodated is in every way they could. Also the house is a beautiful little retreat that feels away from the massing crowd yet is a stone throw away from everything. I will certainly be recommending to all I know.

This hotel was amazing. The staff were more than helpful and the casa was beautiful. We didn’t want to leave.

Loved staying there. The staff was excellent, room was spacious and very comfortable.

The staff of Casa Amora are on the top of their game; great food, service and comfortable rooms made our stay here quite the delight. Excellent value for money and a much better than anticipated breakfast experience. When it comes to B&B, they did it all Trumps!

Good food for breakfast. Good recommendation s from staff. Perfect location for sightseeing Highly recommended

I found Casa Amora online and hoped for the best; it turned out to be a very lucky find! Casa Amora is nicely appointed; the staff are friendly and helpful; and the breakfasts are ample and delicious. The rooms are nicely decorated and the two we were in were comfortable, although one had a quirky layout that was a little awkward. However, that’s a minor quibble. Since we loved Lisbon and plan to come again, we’ll definitely return to Casa Amora. In addition, the inn is close to a Metro stop but not in an overly touristy area. This is a good place to get to known real Lisbon life. There are restaurants nearby and we spent some very pleasant time lounging in the park, Amoreiras, nearby. All in all, an excellent home base in Lisbon.

We stayed for six nights in a quiet room located in the main house. Breakfast was wonderful and filling. Everything was how made except For the artisan bread which was purchased fresh daily. The fruit juices Were freshly made each day. All the staff were gracious and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone as place to stay in Lisbon.

The location was excellent. Within walking distance of activities, restaurants, but on a quiet street close to a park. Helpful staff. Wonderful enclosed garden for breakfast and engaging with other guests. Room very comfortable with balcony overlooking garden. Excellent value.

Large comfortable clean studio room with air-con and great amenities. Quaint Garden area to relax and have a wonderful breakfast. Also an old relaxing quaint Bar attached to the premises. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Would have no hesitation in recommending Casa Amora to any prospective traveller to Lisbon.

We loved the Ariel House. Wonderful breakfast, very friendly, helpful staff. Always had tea and pastries waiting for us. We could walk into center of things in 20 minutes or so or take the train right down street from house. The only thing I would suggest is new carpet throughout if they ever have a slow time!

Great location to walk to just about everything. The studios are a little worn, but breakfast is wonderful and staff is very accommodating.

Very personal welcome and orientation to this special guesthouse. Really feels like a home, with caring and informative staff who go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your time not just at the guesthouse but in the city and county. Value here is in that personal touch that a hotel just couldn't match. Breakfast is glorious.

The best hotel we stayed in on our 3 week trip thru Spain and Portugal . It is beautifully decorated , unique and the service from Juan , the manager is personal and thorough. You are covered on all bases and left wanting for nothing . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay , and Lisbon is a vibrant , beautiful place .

The night we arrived, the hotel manager Rachel was out so her father was filling in to greet guests. He was very attentive and did his best to answer our questions given his limited English. The next morning we were warmly welcomed by Rachel and treated to an amazing breakfast in the beautiful dining courtyard. Rachel spent time with us after breakfast explaining the the areas of Lisbon and how best to get to them. She also provided a list of recommended restaurants, from Michelin rated fine dining to small, modest places that serve authentic Portuguese and favored by locals. We tried one of each and loved them both! Our room was just what we needed for our short stay (two nights). A very comfortable bed, small kitchenette, good sized bathroom and a small is sitting area. Casa Amora is in a great location, just on the outskirts of central Lisbon and close to the metro. It's in a very quiet neighborhood on the corner of a lovely park that has a small cafe with live music in the evening. The only issue we had during our stay was a malfunctioning shower head. The large, rain shower head fell off during my shower and gave me a good size knot on my head. This is the reason for my giving the "Hotel Facilities, Condition" only 3 stars. We reported the issue to Rachel but apparently they were unable to re-attach the shower head. It wasn't a big deal as the shower also had a detachable, hand held shower head which worked fine. We loved our stay at Casa Amora and hope to return.

Only one night, but it was a great rest. Great host, advised us on all the great sites to see.

Juan great source of info. about what to do. Friendly and spacious studio room with balcony/loft bedroom with kitchen facilities.
